Hello ladies, we are back. Got back last night around midnight. It was great but we have decided we do need to branch out on the next family trip. Nana was also sick for a day and a half and felt like she missed a lot of her trip because of it. I think it was the last straggles of that nasty stomach thing that went around WDW.

Mom and I decided we do not get enough grown up time while at WDW and would like some. We are going to go back for a weekend to explore Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival and I am trying to get one of my friends to join us. I also know a few of you are planning a trip during FW and would love to meet up one night if possible.

Everyone remind me next year to take an extra day driving home. I did this last year and said I would take it and didn't. It is horrid driving back in two days. So next family trip I need to be reminded how bad it was to drive home.

I did take a lot of pictures but none of the pirate room. When I first got to the room the camera was not with me and then we trashed the room up with all of our stuff and I would not take pictures of it like that. I refused to have mousekeeping for 3 of our days because the room was such a mess. No one should have to clean up around all our stuff.

The CM's were as always very good. I as always had several moments of extra pixie dust. One of the big ones was at Imageworks. Bug and I had a photo taken there last trip. I forgot to pick it up and could never get a hold of anyone when I called. I decided on a long shot to check and see if they still had it. The manager told me it would have only been saved for 90 days. I told him that was fine I just wanted to check, just in case. He then told me to have a photo retaken for free. I told him that was not necessary and that we would be leaving soon and the same thing would happen this time as last. I thanked him again and was ready to leave when he asked if I had 5 minutes to spare. He then took us over to the wall told me to pick a pose from the bottom two rows. He took the photo and went straight back to process it for us. When he handed it to me he had not only printed the 8x10 but also a puzzle for Bug. He gave them both to me for free and sent us on our way. It was way more than I ever expected and it just made my night.

The cake we ordered for Bug's birthday was just like I ordered. The made sure everything was orange. Even the leaves on the flowers were orange. I also do not know if they have the Mickey sprinkles separated by color or if someone had to do this by hand, but all Mickey head sprinkles were orange. It was a great cake and the staff at WCC made Bugs birthday celebration very special. Walter was wonderful with Bug and even made sure he got a stick pony for the parade. Bug had a great time and gave Walter a big piece of birthday cake.

T-Rex is awesome and I feel a must do for any trip. We were seated quickly. The service is great and the Cotton Candy Apple drink is yummy. We all loved it and did not find it dinosaurs to be near as scary as the animals at Rain Forest.

The Pirate Cruise from Yacht Club is by far the best deal at WDW. My son had a blast and got many free items. He thought Captain Stinky Feet was a real pirate and wanted to go on it again. The loot at the end was in a little metal treasure chest. He also got a plastic sword and eye patch. All this was placed in a black cloth bag for him to keep. Before they left the dock each child was transformed into a pirate with a pirate bandanna. The cloth bag is not real sturdy but it will do for play at home.

All in all it was a great trip. We are just ready for a different kind of trip next time. A lot less hectic pace is in store for us next trip.

margie-- sounds like a great trip. i just love those extra magical experiences. i think that's why we keep going back every year!

Morning. I stayed up to watch the stupid Oscars and am now paying the price. The irony is that I haven't seen a nominated picture, so I don't know why I watched the whole thing.

Sounds like the sicknesses are making the rounds. :grouphug: I'm just riddled with allergies... yesterday was a 10.8 on a scale of 10 for pollen counts! :faint:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Up next.....crowds, crowds and more crowds.
:scared1: OMG Z - I can't even remember the last time I saw that kind of line for the Seas! Hope the day and trip got easier. :worried2:

Morning :goodvibes

I tried to catch up, but Kristel saved the day! :thumbsup2

Jen...   for you and Jon (and Meeska!)

Dawn, I'm glad you're feeling better about your move.

I hope all the sick folks feel better soon.

****************************

The Lego competition went well. They placed second for the state which gets them an invitation to the National Comp. in Ohio in May. #1 was disappointed as he wanted to go to World Festival again, but this way we have no graduation conflicts :thumbsup2 So now we'll see if the rest of the team is up for a drive to Dayton, Ohio.....

Morning... I'm still tired today. I woke up when Kirt did and started thinking about everything, so I lost a bit of sleep. I'm anxiouisly awaiting some answers from his boss today. :headache:

I really hope to know what's going on by tonight. :thumbsup2

Morning All !!
Z loved the start of your TR!!Tell bf I am another in search of those DSA's I have my fav at MK by the Speedway!! Question for you where are the Dolphins at Seas ?:confused3
Today is my "NO" day and what do I get up to ....a note Mom can you!! I give up !!:rotfl2:

We passed through the Disney gates and were headed to the Beach Club for a loverly dinner at Beaches 'n Cream. We had a 45 min. wait, but were eventually seated and happily eating our delicious roast beef subs. :cloud9:
We love these, too!
Loved the pic taken by the "photopass" photographer. :rotfl2:

That was some pixie dust! How nice.

How do you book the Pirate Cruise? Did you book in advance? I would love to book for ds8 in June. Is it okay for dd4? I think they allow 4 yo's but I don't trust her. She would be the kid to wander off away from the group.

Are we talking about mid Oct for a girl's weekend? dh and I were talking about going for a kid-free F&WF trip. Let me know.

I had a great day yesterday. DH gave me a pedicure. He says it is rare to find a dh that will do that, so I should feel lucky. :rotfl2: I pulled everything out. He said he thought he was just going to paint my toes, but did it all. He also fixed me a white russian to enjoy while I was relaxing. That thing was strong! I think it was his ploy to miss church because after 1 drink I was in no shape to be going anywhere, much less church. I don't think it's acceptable to show up with numb lips.:rotfl2:

I was so relaxed.

I called the dining number and booked it through them. The one at the yacht club goes into World Showcase before it opens and the kids get out there to look for the treasure. My son, later that day, was very excited to show me where they docked and the pyramid they went to. I am sure both ds and dd would love it and they keep very good track of everyone. If you are uneasy about WS then there are others. The two ladies doing this one were very well trained. I was nervous at first but once they set sail I was not worried about my son's safety in any way.

Yes. We decided to tell them this morning while we were all home together. I thought it would be unfair to tell them one night and have them go to bed. This way, we talked all day about moving and looked for a house on-line, etc. They seem to be doing well. Baylie went to a movie with her best friend. She said it made he sad to see her. She knows it will be great once we're there.

I'm much better too. I'm happy about the life we'll have there and that it won't change again. This is the main office he'll be at and they won't let him move away again. He's the best they have and they know it now BIG TIME.

the plan for tomorow is for Kirt to go to the bank and get started with pre-approval for buying a new house. Then He's going to call his boss and ask if he has time to answer our questions. I'm assuming he will talk on the pone or go to Austin for a meeting. The plan is to tell him we're on board and we found a house we want to buy. We'll find out his intentions for buying our house and go look at the one we like Wednesday (the next day he's working in Austin).
We'll likely wait until after the trip to move and we'll have to commute the 1.5 hours twice a week for dance class. I promised the girls they would get to dance in their competitions and recital. That will be a pain, but my MIL and Mom both said they'd help any way they can.

I'm going to veg in front of the t.v. now. I'm wiped. Tomorrow I'll try to pst pics from the house we like. I'll have to use photobucket, because I don't want to post a link to the info, YKWIM?

Good night!

Glad things seem to be working out and hope you get the answers you need.:goodvibes

Sounds Good !! But why Potato Candy

I don't know why, but they are GOOD!:thumbsup2

donalds safari breakfast

We liked this one, I thought it was a little loud, but the food was good and Jimmy liked the characters:thumbsup2 Lessa was there the same day.:thumbsup2

WE are doing this one for the first time in August:thumbsup2

whispering canyon cafe. not sure how much time it will take to get to this resort. i guess we could drive over since we'll have a car.

From the Poly it would probably be faster for you to take the monorail to MK and then the boat to WL!

here are the crowd levels for that week. is this bad, good , or so-so??

sat sept 19--- 7
sun sept 20--- 5
mon sept 21---6
tues sept 22---4
wed sept 23--- 5
thu sept 24--- 6
fri sept 25--- 4
sat sept 26--- 7

I think anything below an 8 is decent. V is the expert at this one!

another question....

did they change the dining resv?? can you not make reserv. 180 days in advance now??? i'm confused.

::yes:: 90 days out!

After 2 rest stops for the bf to have some cancer sticks

Hey, no picking on us smokers:headache:

Janet has a bunch of sickos. Jim got sick from 'gracery' shopping.:rotfl2: He must have lost his grace. Jimmy is staying home today. She has discovered the joy of snot in it's many forms.

Hey:headache: No making fun of my typos when I'm sick!:rolleyes1

Good thing she is NOW MARRIED to a Millionaire

So she doesn't need to know how to cook!:thumbsup2

I thought the Oscars were a lot of fun last night. Some of those gowns were amazing. I think i liked Marisa Tomei and Penelope Cruz the best.

Both of those were nice. I have to say though that I don't think that there was anyone dress that made me say WOW! KWIM?

Hello ladies, we are back.

Welcome Back Margie:goodvibes Sounds like you guys had a great time.

Good Morning all. I'm feeling a bit better. Jimmy is still  Leaving in a ferw minutes to take him to the doctor where I am sure I am going to be told he has a sinus infection:sad2: After that we will just come back here and hang out for the day.

I have to do some :laundy: . I'm going to make some Chicken parm for dinner. Something I don't normally get to do during the week becasue of work, so that will be good.

HAve a good day everyone. To all who need them!

The two ladies doing this one were very well trained. I was nervous at first but once they set sail I was not worried about my son's safety in any way.
Mary, Leo did this one, too, and it was fantastic! I was totally comfortable leaving him in the CMs' care. :thumbsup2

I think anything below an 8 is decent. V is the expert at this one!
I don't know about "expert", but IMO those look like great numbers Rachel! I haven't seen it below 3 in eons; 4-6 I would say means 10-ish minute waits in the early morning, 20-40 (depending on the ride in question) in the afternoons.

Poor Jimmy! Wish I was hanging at home. My head is killing me - I think you can add me to the sinus-sufferers list. :headache:

hope your headache feels better. can you take sudafed? always works for me. and gives me energy!

Thanks - I agree, Sudafed is the gold standard... but it's at home. :headache: I'm trying to muscle throgh, but I can feel it progressing to a migraine, so a trip to the drugstore might be coming. Ugh.

Wow, I guess you are busy! You're like famous being on the mom's panel. I'll have to read up on your training.
Not quite famous but thanks and the training trip was fantastic :thumbsup2

The little girl across the street is spoiled rotten and a real jerk. The next door neighbor came over to play then the jerk across the street came over and said why don't we play outside. As soon as they got outside, jerk says to next door neighbor, "come on let's go play in my house; sorry H, 3's a crowd so you can't come in." And who showed up at our door asking if H could play after next door neighbor went home?
Girls!!!!!! I think they get worse the older they get :sad2:

I think they did have fun at the dance. Eric said that it was crazy busy, but DD7 seemed to have a fun time. They didn't actually dance much, but there were various activities to do as well.
Awww sounds sweet and glad you had a good time at Church!

What section are those in????
I thought they had revamped them all.
We were in Casitas and in December there weren't many refurbed rooms, they are meant to be doing them all though!

So, today we drove 2 hrs each way to pick up Gus' new friend! He's so dang cute it's unbelievable. He doesn't have a name yet though because Gus is still trying to decide. The breeder we got him from was so wonderful. He gave Gus books and all kinds of info on having a pet rabbit. He gave us food and hay and water to get him started and wrote down EVERYTHING we needed to know. Gus is feeding him hay right now and he's gobbling it down. Here's a couple photos of little "no name."
He's so sweet but 4 hours, wow!!!

jo-- finally playing golf again. woo whoo. oh, when will you be in wdw in sept?? we're going the 19th- 26th i believe.
I'm hoping to go for the EE 5K which is 26th I think!

anybody know if the sept hours for 2009 came out yet??? i can't find them anywhere. help.
As others have said 3 months, the June hours should be out next week!

I found a house I want to buy. :rotfl: Of course, I haven't looked at it, but it looks good on-line! :lmao:
Wow that was quick, sounds like you'll all be fine

Has anybod come up with an Irish dessert !! All I can think of is Green jello or Pitstaschio pudding !! Not really Irish but Green!!
Did you not see the link I posted? Go back about 4 pages!

teppan edo ( is this the one with the grill where they cook right in front of you?)
Yep and we love it!

trying to look at emh. we do the am ones , then leave around 11am when it starts getting busy. now, i know the hours aren't out for sept. but, i've been looking at past days and they seem to be same days of week for each park. anyone know anything bout this??
They do tend to be, when I compared August 2007 with 2008 they were pretty similar!

I told the bf AIS time was 7:30am and he was not really happy about that. Tough. We're in my happy place so he had to deal. :stir:
:rotfl2: Sounds like a great trip so far Z!

Wow! I need to wrap it up here at work. I'll check in tomorrow!!! You all be good!
Kristel you deserve a medal!!!

Hello ladies, we are back. Got back last night around midnight.
Sounds lovely and with extra pixie dust too, bugs cake sounds yummy!

Hope he's OK!

After my golf game my eyes were quite itchy but I didn't think anything of it, last night though they had yucky stuff in them and were puffy. This morning they were really puffy :scared: I took a hayfever tablet and they've calmed down although stillnot normal, I also keep sneezing and have a sore throat, can't believe hayfever season is here already

I hope it is ok to pop back on the Focker thread? Wow, I haven't been around here in forever.

Sorry to hear about your hayfever Jo. I have to catch up on everyone, it will take forever :rotfl: . I am off to read the last 200 or so pages :lmao:, or look for some of the summaries throughout the thread.

I hope everyone is having a great day.
