Good morning Focker Friends ! It's back to work today !! Those 4 days off went fast ,but I am off again on Thursday! I was told to use some off the vacation time I had piled up sooooo I am !!

Morning all! I think I'm headed to the Indy Children's Museum today. My mom bought us a family membership for Christmas and we haven't activated it yet. I don't have anything to do today and DD7 has a program after school until 5pm, so we've got plenty of time. They've got a new Lego exhibit that I know DD5 would love, so I think we're going to hit it up.

Morning Fockers! I'm stuck at home, waiting for the new washer to arrive. Sometime between 8am and 5pm. JUST how I envisioned using 8 of my vacation hours. I'm biding my time until it seems an okay hour to use the treadmill, (I have a downstairs neighbor who I'm guessing would prefer not to hear it running at 8am.)

they just assume you have nothing better to do? I would have asked for a Saturday delivery or 1 day's pay discount off the washer. Yup, I'm a real pleasure to work with.

Hey everyone! Long time, no "see"!

Things have been absolutely CRAAAAAZY around here for the last couple of weeks...

I've been knocked out of my "Turning 40" depression-slash-slump thanks to my "OMG - I'm going to lose my job" depression-slash-slump...plus it's been crazy busy at work. Just when I thought it couldn't get any busier...boy was I wrong...

We're having what seems to be massive job cuts and I hear we're on layoff wave #6...out of the 5 of us from my company on my job, 3 have been let go so far. The other 2 are me and my boss, who's been promoted to a bigger boss.

So where's that leave me?? Well, they've said that they have nowhere for me, but haven't told me that they're letting me go yet. Then told me that my last day on this job is March 13th...I knew I hated Friday the 13th for a reason...

We've moved out of our trailer and into the hospital for the next few weeks so it's been hectic trying to get everything packed up and moved out and unpacked and set back up, etc...

Plus I have to learn 2 other people's jobs - one's last day was this past Friday and the other one is this coming Friday and then the other guy who's last day was this past Friday left a bunch of stuff for me to do...

Oh and they finally told me to put our house on the market (hi - nowhere to go though... ) so when I'm not working I'm trying to get my house ready to sell. Realtors are coming on the 28th to do their market analysis and presentations, etc. UGH...I have a list a mile long of things I need to get done...

I need to be cloned, I swear...

Anywhoooo....I just wanted to pop in and say hi - I don't even have time to read and catch up but I hope you're all doing well - I really miss chatting with everyone. Hugs to you all!!

Even if you do not work outside the home... it is still a PAIN WAITING for these guys... You don't want to tear into a project wearing your Best working clothes and hear the door bell ring..and you don't dare try some projects in good clothes. Given the option I will always ask for morning.

Wii Fit is quiet... just not as much of an aerobic workout... I miss the treadmill

We had a weird work day yesterday... we were closed to the public, but still had to work. So we examined all of our personalities to work better as a group and reduce stress. Of course, half the group is slated for layoffs, which is the reason for stress, so the whole thing seemed pretty ridiculous to me.

I thought maybe this meeting was to notify who was getting the axe. My experience was .. always better knowing. At least you can plan and prepare.. NOT KNOWING just makes you Sick... literally.

I forgot to share some good news I got last night. We can all use some good news, right??

I not only got a raise in salary for my outstanding performance this past year, I also received a promotion which also increases my salary! The second part was completely unexpected so I am very thankful and appreciative.

So with this and the extra $13/wk from the government - I'm stoked!

I think I'm going to try my tennis practice drills. I don't feel that much better - and now I'm tired, too - but it's with my favorite instructor this week. If it was the other guy, I'd call in. If I feel like I can't breathe, I'll stop.

We went to Epcot last night so I could practice some more. I'll post the photos later when I upload them. Had dinner at Chefs and really enjoyed it. Mitch had never been there and it had been a long time since I had. Our server was the most adorable girl, Emilie and the food was very nice. The only complaint was it was very loud and if I think it was loud, I know Mitch couldn't hear much. He can't hear much out of his left ear. Not sure what I'm doing today so I'll be in and out. Have a good day!

Good morning all. Another carppy start to the week. We had another cop killed over the weekend. The funeral is Friday. He was 25 years old and his wife is 4 months pregnant We will be dealing with that all week.

Tonight Jim has a softball coaches meeting and then when he gets home I leave for the Home & School Meeting. Meetings that I am starting to get bored with because they never seem to accomplish anything. The group of people are great, but nobody seems capable of actually making a decision!

Need to call to make an appointment for Jimmy to get his hair cut, but other than that I will be checking in throughout the day.
