CE: We are here for you to vent to NO MATTER the reason. It's hard to be rational when you haven't slept. Did I ever tell you guys about the time I let the "F" bomb fly on SD when he woke me up 3 times out of a sound sleep in ONE NIGHT? Dear God. Not a stellar Mommy Moment there. I was completely irrational.
Oh, no! But I admit from the outside, I think it's a little funny.
So, really, Kavetch away. We love you.
MEL
Thanks so much.
Yes, but not on the ice.

About 2 hours later, I decided maybe I should call. Turned out that John had an appointment north of us, so it WAS on the way for him to pick up D before they headed south to work.
It's an electronic book device. It's supposed to be perfect on the eyes, unlike trying to read on adobe on your computer or whatever. You can download books wirelessly, and they're mostly 9.99, so a good deal. They also have newspapers from all over the world, etc. The Kindles go for $360, so it's a great incentive! But, I just got an e-mail saying:
Dear Vine Voice,
We have received your email indicating your interest in participating as an ABNA reviewer. Thank you for your interest.
Our process to evaluate reviewers is currently taking longer than we expected. We will send out confirmation emails notifying of status Monday, February 9th.
Thank you,
ABNA Admin Team
Which is kind of scary as I didn't know they were "evaluating" reviewers - the original message said, "If you want to do this, send an e-mail back to this address" and it sounded more to me like a first-come, first-serve deal. I don't know what they'd be evaluating - the reviews I've written? How many "helpful" votes I get? Or if they just got a lot more than they expected and are just figuring out how to handle it?
I'm hopeful, because I think the reading could be interesting, and heck, I'll take something cool worth $360!
I love my sleep too, David has the opposite problem if I ever go away he can't sleep without me, awww!
Awww!

D SAYS he sleeps better with me here, but again, apparently just on the couch.

(He's asleep on the couch this very minute, and has been for nearly an hour, btw.)
The snow has near enough gone, done nothing except answer questions, hoover the whole house, go on a 1.5 hour walk with David and play 16 rounds of Mario Kart (I only one 1 )
More than I did, I think!
Been there...done that Did he go to school.
Yep, I told him if he wasn't sick he had to go. He got home from school and played outside for nearly 2 hours, so I think he was fine.

And I'll bet a lot of money that he'll be up at 6:30 tomorrow (we get up at 6:55 for school.)
But... I can't blame him: my complex was a sheet of ice! Really - even the road was icy this morning. Crazy!
Wow!
Still more talk of budget cuts around here. Some people seem to think we can cut a bunch of programs, but keep people... um, we have a less than $2mill budget and 70% of it is payroll. With a 30% cut, we'd have our full staff of 14 doing NOTHING!
Hmmm. How's that going to work? Sorry, love.
I am not a morning person to begin with but then add the whole no sleep issue to it and I was just down right mean.
Yep, that's me to a T.
I totally understand! Mr Diz falls asleep on the couch every night while we are watching tv, then he can't fall asleep until about midnight. He has a lot of stress at work right now and complains about being tired all the time. I've told him he needs to quit taking a nap before bedtime and just go to bed earlier.

I can't help but think that if he wasn't asleep on the couch right now, he might be sleeping at 2:00 a.m. But...
The weather channel was showing the frozen iguanas that had fallen out of trees.
NO!
Why is it still cold?!?! Although I'm not complaining much, because my hair looks fabulous!
There's the bright side!
Jess just made some rocky road, well what we call RR crushed cookies, chocolate, syrup, butter etc. Trouble is I can't stop eating it
Well, now, that sounds fantastic.
Honestly, Jon is not doing that great. This has turned his li'l world upside down. Forcing him to stay at school, where he is absolutely terrified, is tough on both him and me.
Oh, honey.
One guy told me all I needed to do was buy him a beer the next time I saw him
That sounds like a good deal.
Hey kids! What's up??!! Besides some of you all night I mean. And on the weather front, we had a heat wave today. Almost hit 50 degrees!! I got to wash my car!!
Woohoo! I think it's coming our way this weekend.
I hate seeing them hurt. Wish I could wave a wand and have it fixed. How many times have we seen women stay with men thinking they will change? Even with the best of intentions, you are who you are.
Oh, Kristel. I'm sorry.
We were supposed to keep Reid tonight but my sis isn't feeling well, so she's staying at home. Now I have nothing to do. Maybe Mitch will take me on a date.
Well, did you get to go?
Having a boring night waiting for Bob..... He should be driving home from the airport about now though.
Is he home? There was no weather here today.
I AM ON VACATION!!!!!!!!!
That's great!
The house is quite without Tink!
I like it!

I know what that's like!
Lately we have been playing who will wind up in what bed.
Thankfully, aside from D ending up in the guest room, we've not had the musical bed things. But I'm so sorry.
I had a fever sunday and ten Monday it went away but I felt really tired and lazy. I thought I was going to come down with something but i didnt. Then last a fever again. Today Im fever free but just tired. I think my body is telling me to SLOW DOWN and take a break but there is no time for breaks. Im going to try to have a relaxing weekend but we shall see.
Oh, honey. Take care of yourself, too, OK?
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
We watched The Great Muppet Caper - new to us on DVD and one I adored as a kid. I thought Buzz was going to bust a gut, he was laughing so hard, so that was good. We got pizza for the kids, but D & I went for leftovers rather than the big sub sandwiches and fries we often get.
I did fall asleep on the couch for an hour or so this afternoon whilst D was writing memos and the kids were still at school. I think in a bit, assuming D stays asleep here

(he needs the sleep, I don't doubt, but it's just like not wanting the 3 year old to have the nap late in the afternoon or he won't go to bed on time

) I might go have a bath.
The boys have their basketball game early tomorrow - 9:00, so I suppose this MIGHT be the weekend that they decide to sleep until 8:30. I'm not looking too forward to that, but it's good to be done before noon. Then we have our playgroup couple dinner tomorrow night.
