I just posted something that may rub some the wrong way. We'll see if I need to put on my big girl panties and defend myself.


BTW, I think it was 11 here this morning and is supposed to be 9 tomorrow morning.

Hello ladies I found you. It is not any colder today than it has been all week but we have no school. I am off to the doctor with the kids this afternoon. They both are having on going stomach problems and I need to know what is going on. Bug puked in my bed again last night but says he feels fine. Nana doesn't sleep well unless she drinks some peppermint tea before bed to settle her stomach.

I told my mom no yesterday to shoveling out the second side of her drive. It is two cars wide and she wanted the second side shoveled because she thinks it looks nicer that way. I told her it was -9 out and I was not shoveling just to make her driveway look pretty.

Student teaching is going well. It is different than what I expected. There is a lot more structure to it than the class room learning leads us to believe. I know it more academic than it use to be but I guess I expected the learning to be more play based than it actually is.

Hope everyone is doing well. I will read back and try and figure out what is going on. An update, if possible, would be nice.

Exactly! When we were studying whales (last year) we read that whales can hear sounds up to 200 miles away. So, I told the kids that if you farted in an ocean every whale within 200 miles would be laughing. We cracked up and to this day, they can all tell you that fact.

I think it is so funny that schools are getting canceled down there due to the cold. Our schools never get canceled unless there is a major disaster or power outage. Then again we are tough Canadians we were born for the cold. Just kidding, I think my years of living in California and Virginia Beach have ruined me, I just can't take the cold. I have to have the heat cranked up and wear three layers of flannel when at home.

Dude, yes! School was never canceled when I lived in Colorado.

Ok I just watched The Wrestler. WOW. That movie was really good. It actually really freaked me out, it is exactly how wrestling really is behind the scenes.

The BF and I watched it the other day too and he said the same exact thing. (He's a wrestling fanatic and even dabbled in it for a short while). It was interesting.... very sad though.

THis made me laugh becasue I could see this conversation happening with my MIL!
