Back from WDW and the DCL cruise to St Croix. It was 75 to 80 degrees everyday on the cruise and today in Baltimore it is 22 degrees going down to 0 tonight!

I'm feeling much better now. All my crust is gone, but I do have some raw skin above my eye. Just using eye cream with growth factors to help it heal. It was a thrilling day today, as I finally was able to tweeze the Yeti brow and put on eyeliner!

CE is right. Michelle lives in Valpo and if it's the grandma being featured, it's probably going to be in the paper up there. That's at least a 2 1/2 hours drive for me. If it's the Dad who is being featured, it could be in my paper. He lives less than 10 miles from me. I'll be sure to keep my eye out for it.

Jo - Me and Jodi are in central Indiana, The Indianapolis Star is the big paper here. Lafayette Journal and Courier is my local paper. The Dis Family is toward the north part of the state. I'm not sure what papers circulate up there. Let us know which paper it is in.

We've decided to postpone #2s party until next weekend. I have this headache that is making me nauseous and I just can't see myself hanging a rain forest canopy in the family room...and if it's the start of something yucky, I'd hate to pass it on. He's upset, but I think it will be for the best.

I told my mom no yesterday to shoveling out the second side of her drive. It is two cars wide and she wanted the second side shoveled because she thinks it looks nicer that way. I told her it was -9 out and I was not shoveling just to make her driveway look pretty.

Me either. I had to type Spanish three times before I got it right; Sapish, Spasinh; you'd think I had already started Drunken Spamish night. I never took a formal typing class. There was a class in HS where tying was a pre-req. My BF had to take a test for me but I had to do something math related for him.

Now I'm a pro with the number pad; anyone want to communicate in binary code?

D had to get up early, and when he goes to bed early, I like to stay away for a while - because I nearly never fall right to sleep, and I don't want my tossing to wake him. So, I waited until I was REALLY tired, walked in on him snoring, but when I climbed into bed, he woke up and said, "I can't sleep without you." Which is sweet, but a total lie, as he was snoring before I was there.

It is now 5.03pm!!!!!

I volunteered and then went to get a few things at the grocery. I came home and decided to walk the dog again early because (this is TMI, sorry) he hadn't gone #2 since we'd brought him home. Eeewwww. It's been too cold for good walks - but no worse than normal when D's away - and even now it's only 11, but I bit the bullet and got him out.

But, it worked, and I've been inside for about a half hour and am still feeling the chill in the ear and toe regions.

Anyway... I think I might log off and relax for a bit, either read or nap for a while. I'll be back!

I'm up for drunken Spanish noche, by the way. D's gone, I bought wine...

I'm really glad you enjoyed that article. My dad taught 4th grade for 30 years...he's "old school" and no one got away with anything, boy or girl, so it's interesting that he's starting to open up to the possibility that kids might differ.
