How are you feeling Honey? :flower3:

Really must meet your kids!
I'm listening to Harry Connick, Jr if that's better to have in your head.
Didnt Kates kids go to FF? :confused3

Snapfish and have them printed to Walgreens to pick up. Or if you can wait and have them mailed to you, they are like $0.09.
Then you have to go into the store and buy something. because you cant just go in and pick up pictures..you have to walk around and check out whats new. so its probably cheaper in the long run to just have them mailed...
Again, not enough time at Fockerfest...must have do-over
I would love to come to the Aug 10 one!!! :hyper:

HEY - no talk of plane crashes when I'm getting on one in the morning!

Good freezing morning from Hoosierland!

Back from WDW and the DCL cruise to St Croix. :woohoo: It was 75 to 80 degrees everyday on the cruise and today in Baltimore it is 22 degrees going down to 0 tonight! :scared1:
Glad you are back! Sounds wonderful.

Exactly! When we were studying whales (last year) we read that whales can hear sounds up to 200 miles away. So, I told the kids that if you farted in an ocean every whale within 200 miles would be laughing. We cracked up and to this day, they can all tell you that fact. :lmao:
Hey- it works!
:lmao:

Jo - Me and Jodi are in central Indiana, The Indianapolis Star is the big paper here. Lafayette Journal and Courier is my local paper. The Dis Family is toward the north part of the state. I'm not sure what papers circulate up there. Let us know which paper it is in.

Kat - Goodluck with the job hunting!

Jodi - I'm glad you got some good news about your Max. Update on mine below.

Mel - An old flame on FB. That is too funny. You must have had some good break-ups. I only know of one ex that would bug me and Doug would have a cow 'cause he knows him.
I hope you are feeling better. Congrats to Gus on the geo bee!

Sharky - Happy B-day to #2!

Slate - I'm so sorry you have to struggle to get these people to do their jobs. Your letter is very good.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

My furbaby, Max, was in ICU until today. He is trying to walk already. He is still weak and wobbely though. They have called us every day since he went in. Once in the morning and once in the evening to give us updates.
We can pick him up tomorrow afternoon. :cheer2: I am going to meet Doug at Purdue between 3:30 and 4. I have to work so I'm hoping I can see him before I have to leave for work. They said there will be a lot of instructions and he is to stay crated for a while to complete his healing.
I'm so happy that he seems to be doing so well. I'm sad because I can't be with him the next 2 nights.
The estimate for all this was between $2500 and $3500. $1250 due up front. I'm so glad I started a good budget 2 years ago. Taking a hit like that used to be devistating. I still don't like it but at least I was prepared.

So this is where ya'll are! No wonder I was by myself on the other thread!

On page 3!!:scared:

Ok, so 7 pages in and I gotta go get ready for work...

Have a great Friday girls!

Stay warm!!!

My friend had her moved out the day after graduation! it was really frusterating to watch!! she till thinks they might get back together. :sad2: why would you want to just end your DD life at 18?!! :scared: its just annoying....I havent e mailed her back yet.

That is really strange. I'm sorry for the girl, but yeah. It's not so bad to be in love at 18 - I do know people who've married their high school loves and had wonderful, happy lives together, but that seems to really be pushing your kid out the door. :confused3

Oh, good - I asked about him on the old thread.

We started this one when we were on 248, I think, so the link was back a few pages. Glad you found us, and have a great day! :goodvibes

Morning, Fockers!!! :goodvibes
I have to run, but I wanted to give some hugs... :grouphug:

Kristel- I was going through what you're going through a year ago September. My puppy was 4 mons old when he fell off the deck rail (barking at the neighbors :sad2: ) and had to have surgery on both his hips. We weren't allowed to see him for a few days and had to crate him for 8 weeks. It was rough. :guilty: But, he's perfectly happy and healthy now and it seems like forever ago. Hang in there. :goodvibes

I'm feeling much better now.
:cool1: Great!

We were able to fit geography and a reduced fat alfredo lesson into supper. :thumbsup2
Now that's a school I would have done well with. :goodvibes

so the movers are in ohio right now with my husband packing everything up.
Good luck! :thumbsup2

I think sometimes, people come into your life to teach you a lesson. Maybe to even teach you what you DON'T want in your life.

Ok I just watched The Wrestler.
I've heard that's good but haven't seen it yet.

Didnt Kates kids go to FF? :confused3
Yes, but in the 30 seconds I had to speak to Kate, her kids weren't there. ;)

We can pick him up tomorrow afternoon. :cheer2:
Yea! :yay:

Well, school was cancelled here today. I guess -11 temps will do that! And the windchill out there has to be -30! I'm not planning on going anywhere for awhile this morning!

So, my plans for the day went up in smoke last night. I'm still going to the Y at some point, but other than that, I have no idea what we're doing. I may take the girls out for lunch, but that's about it.

Hope everyone stays warm today! I'm dreaming of next week when I'll be in California. Make sure to order up some warm weather for me, T!

Ok I just watched The Wrestler. WOW. That movie was really good. It actually really freaked me out, it is exactly how wrestling really is behind the scenes. It was like watching what my life was like (the things i saw mostly not the things i did) for the 6 years I wrestled. Really bizarre to me. It really hit home. Not to mention that 3/4 of the wrestlers in the movie are people I know personally. I kept yelling out "thats so and so" "Hey I know him!", KC was amused.

Great movie tho!

Tomorrow we are watching Choke & Benjamin Button!

Hope you have a great night all! Stay warm!!!

That's good to know. I know its getting a lot of talk about it and was wondering how it would be. I'll have to wait until it comes out on PPV though. Let us know how Benjamin Button is. That one looks good!

my friends daughter whos 18 and a senior has been with this guy for 2 years. hes really sweet. my friend has been saving stuff up for them to move in together after graduation. :sad2: she even bought her Arielle a tupperwear set for christmas! Awww...poor girl. But your right, at least now she can move on with her life, or at least try to, and go have some fun. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and tell myself that when I was 18. :hourglass

Lori - Did you get your washer fixed? Best wishes for Lindsy.

Nope, my washer is still broken. They come on Tuesday to fix it though. Bad thing is I have to wait around from 8AM - 5PM that day.

Glad to hear Max gets to come home!

Good Morning Fockers!

School is cancelled here for us. -6 with a winchill of -20. I think we'll be staying inside today.

Not much planned other than trying to keep the kids occupied. I might go for Dawn's idea from a few weeks ago about the indoor Winter Olympics. That'll definately keep them busy and tire them out.

Who messed up all the smilies?

I don't have much tomorrow except volunteering for a bit. D's leaving early (a secret :cool1: as he's been home since 12/22 and I am ready for a "self" night...) and that's about it.

I won't tell;)

Didnt Kates kids go to FF?

Yes, but there really wasn't enough time to talk to everybody:sad2:

Then you have to go into the store and buy something. because you cant just go in and pick up pictures..you have to walk around and check out whats new. so its probably cheaper in the long run to just have them mailed...

This is so me at CVS. I am only going in to pick up a script but I HAVE to check out the seasonal aisle:sad2:

I would love to come to the Aug 10 one!!! :hyper:

:cool1: :cool1:

why would you want to just end your DD life at 18?!! :scared: its just annoying....I havent e mailed her back yet.

:confused3 I caouldn't imagine pushing Jimmy like that at 18!

any whooo,,off to bed. under the electric blankie!! :goodvibes

I just updated my TR with the Petals pool meet! :cool1:

Will check it out!:thumbsup2

Janet - The Fockerfest video was so cool! Sorry about Jimmy!

Thanks! Jimmy's day was fine yesterday so he must have just had a bad day:confused3

Hi LL!:)

Wheres Katt? :confused3 :guilty:

I've spoken to her (via email). She's just taking a break for a little while. Will be back soon!:)

Yes, but in the 30 seconds I had to speak to Kate, her kids weren't there. ;)

Exactly!::yes::

Well, school was cancelled here today. I guess -11 temps will do that! And the windchill out there has to be -30! I'm not planning on going anywhere for awhile this morning!

:faint:

Hope everyone stays warm today! I'm dreaming of next week when I'll be in California. Make sure to order up some warm weather for me, T!

I can't believe your trip is here already!:cool1:

=======================================================

Good Morning all. It's 11 degrees here with a WC of 5, but not as bad as the Midwest Fockers so I won't complain. At work, Jimmy and Jim are off to school, and hopefully it will be a quiet day!

Have a great one everyone. Will check in later!

I won't tell;)

Thanks. ;)

I've spoken to her (via email). She's just taking a break for a little while. Will be back soon!:)

Good to know.

Good Morning all. It's 11 degrees here with a WC of 5, but not as bad as the Midwest Fockers so I won't complain. At work, Jimmy and Jim are off to school, and hopefully it will be a quiet day!

It was -9 when the bus came, and is now a balmy -6. :rotfl: But, we have NO wind, so it's not that horrifying.

I'm off to volunteer, then I yet again need the grocery store. I don't know why I can't go just once a week, but there you are.

I'm planning on a big huge veg day. I have stuff that needs doing, but this is my first day to myself in almost a month, so I'm taking it. So there. :rotfl2:

See you all later! Happy Friday!

We had our taco pie for dinner and now a quick Wii tennis match for the men in the house, and the Muppet Show before bed.

D has to leave early in the morning, so I might be back. If not, have a great night!
Hi CE! Glad you're getting some Self time! I'm done with Self time! I want some Bob time...:rotfl:

I read, but I can't remember anything except Mel's "cork or mattress comment" We used to call it the "cotton surf-board"

Did someone say PANCAKES???? :hyper: I love pancakes! Sadly I can't eat them for at least 6 months and 14 days.

I'm feeling much better now. All my crust is gone, but I do have some raw skin above my eye. Just using eye cream with growth factors to help it heal. It was a thrilling day today, as I finally was able to tweeze the Yeti brow and put on eyeliner!

I'm hungry.
Ha! Cotton Surf-board! LOL
yep, I said pancakes! Why can't you eat them? Braces? SD does....?

Glad you got the Yeti brow under control!

So, I'm trying hard to stay warm here in frigid Indiana. Current temp is -3 with a windchill of -22. Not sure if it ever got above 0 today. We had a two-hour school delay this morning and we're supposed to find out by 8pm if the schools are delayed or if they'll be closed tomorrow. I'm really hoping for just a delay. We would have to make up the day if they are closed. Plus, I've got plans people! DD4's preschool doesn't close for delays, so if we have a two hour delay, DD4 still has to be at school at 8:45am. Then, I'd have until 10:45 with DD7 to run a few errands and hang out. I figure I could squeeze in a workout between 11 and 1pm before I have to pick up DD4. Then I've got plans to scrapbook with some friends during the afternoon! Of course, if school is cancelled, all plans go out the window.
Hoping, oh dang.....I see you got cancelled too!

On another note, our dinner discussion further proved the accuracy of Kate's article. DS9, who wasn't very hungry because if his meds, started reading the book of world records. He asked what country had the longest coastline and was shocked by the answer. Anyone, anyone? Somehow New Zealand entered the conversation and DH mentioned that the toilets flush backwards. Well, this peeked DS9's interest as to why and then blah blah southern hemisphere blah blah and Indonesia on the equator that just flushes with straight down woosh and then DS9 is running for the globe to see where these countries are and the equator and all the inlets islands that make Canada have the longest coastline. SEE, boys just need teachers to speak their language: it's all about potty mouths. We were able to fit geography and a reduced fat alfredo lesson into supper.
Right! :thumbsup2

so the movers are in ohio right now with my husband packing everything up. i think they're about done. tomorrow they will load the truck and deliver on sat or sun! finally, we can live normally again! actually, it hasn't been too bad. it's kinda fun making dinner together with my parents. they'll be right next door, so hopefully we can continue to have family dinner few times a week.

so , what's up with everyone??
Hi Rachel! Sounds like things are going well! I'm so glad you have your parents nearby!

Exactly! When we were studying whales (last year) we read that whales can hear sounds up to 200 miles away. So, I told the kids that if you farted in an ocean every whale within 200 miles would be laughing. We cracked up and to this day, they can all tell you that fact.
Hey- it works!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The good thing is...I know exactly what I do want in my life.

This was very difficult for him. But, I think it says something equally as important when I say that it wasn't as difficult for me.

:)
Glad you're at peace with your decision. We just want you happy!

Hey guys! Had a lot to read but I'm all caught up now!

I think it is so funny that schools are getting canceled down there due to the cold. Our schools never get canceled unless there is a major disaster or power outage. Then again we are tough Canadians we were born for the cold. :lmao: Just kidding, I think my years of living in California and Virginia Beach have ruined me, I just can't take the cold. I have to have the heat cranked up and wear three layers of flannel when at home.
I'm a wuss. This cold is WAY WAY too extreme. I'm afraid to go outside!

Oh Fockers...there's no way I'm gonna be able to catch up on any of this. So let's just pretend I know what's going on, shall we...

Lindsey's school was cancelled today because of snow last night and she's cancelled for tomorrow due to freezing cold temps. She's off on Monday due to MLK day. This is going to be a very llllllllooooooooonnnnnngggggggg weekend! I did see a local community college was offering some MLK activities on Monday though so we might go and check them out.

Lindsey had a visit at her peds this afternoon for her 6 year visit and then to talk with her behavior issue.
Sounds like you have a plan, Lori. Good job! :thumbsup2

:lmao: :rotfl2:

OK going back to catch up after a cold night at work! Dang customers kept opening the door to come in and buy stuff!!
Stupid customers!

It's sorta been a rough night here. And your hugs and love have made me feel better.

*sniff*

I know what Mel is doing tonite....
How are you feeling Honey?
any whooo,,off to bed. under the electric blankie!! :goodvibes
How did you know!? Really, Carrie, you are amazing! I didn't even tell you that I was going to banish Bob to the spare room and sleep with the humidifier cranking ALL ALONE....LOL.
You read my mind......
ROFL

Good freezing morning from Hoosierland!
-14 degrees F or holy **** it's cold out there!

:rotfl2:
Mel - An old flame on FB. That is too funny. You must have had some good break-ups. I only know of one ex that would bug me and Doug would have a cow 'cause he knows him.
I hope you are feeling better. Congrats to Gus on the geo bee!

It's scary cold here too!

I don't have alot of ex'es because Bob and I have pretty much been together since I was in 11th grade, but this one got through! He was a doll, and I would like to know what he's been up to but Bob probably wouldn't care for it. He was the guy "right before" Bob, so I am sure Bob knows who he is....

WOW! That would bury us. I'm so happy that you can pay it, without pain so that you can just focus on your puppy!

So this is where ya'll are! No wonder I was by myself on the other thread!

On page 3!!:scared:

Ok, so 7 pages in and I gotta go get ready for work...

Have a great Friday girls!

Stay warm!!!
HI LL! Have a good Friday!

Wheres Katt? :confused3 :guilty:
Wondered that too! I don't know!

Well, school was cancelled here today. I guess -11 temps will do that! And the windchill out there has to be -30! I'm not planning on going anywhere for awhile this morning!
Dang, sorry Jodi. Hope you stay warm down there!

*****************
Kids are ELATED that we have a day off. My kids are going to be home for ALOT of days though! LOL. Gus is off till Wed, and SD till Tues!!!

Bob made it home last night about 8:30 and I am SO glad. He's here till Tues. morning. He's gone off to the office this morning though, so I have some time to get things cleaned up around here.

Not much else happening here. I had Bob sleep downstairs though, as I am still so snotty and stuffy! TMI? Sorry.... This cold stinks! I am really hoping that I get better soon. I have so much to do before my trip!

Well, enjoy your day people! BUT FIRST:
Can I get a little ...
Single Digit Dance!!!!
:cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:

MEL

Morning Freezy Fockers :goodvibes

It's chilly here in the south this morning...colder tomorrow :crazy2: I bet V's regretting that decision to go to Buffalo this morning.

Congrats Jodi and Mel on the single digits :cool1:

We've decided to postpone #2s party until next weekend. I have this headache that is making me nauseous and I just can't see myself hanging a rain forest canopy in the family room...and if it's the start of something yucky, I'd hate to pass it on. He's upset, but I think it will be for the best.

I hope everyone stays toasty and has a good Friday. I'll be in and out.

Good morning. Come to New Mexico.

Where today it will be about 55 degrees.

:teeth:

 all around.

Hey Jenn! I was reading some of that education thread and I am proud of you for not getting banned again (yet). I bet you were squirming in your seat trying to refrain from laying into two of those posters.

I just posted something that may rub some the wrong way. We'll see if I need to put on my big girl panties and defend myself. ::yes::

BTW, I think it was 11 here this morning and is supposed to be 9 tomorrow morning.
