Well, Buzz lasted outside for about 50 minutes. Woody's been out since before lunch. He's wanting to play a board game, but with just the two of us, and me hoping John will show up soon... I'm going to beg off for now. I feel bad, but not too much so. I like the board games, but not Sorry or Trouble or Clue with just two.

As I was cleaning the shower doors and one came off the track. Of course I can't figure out how to get it back on. Luckily I'm not having company before Mitch gets back to fix it, but this is what frustrates me. Something that should be no big deal ends up being one.

You normally have to tilt and slide in if that helps

I am pretty sure I am getting/am sick as I don't think it is normal to wake up and then fall down immediately after getting out of bed from dizziness. It hasn't improved much over the day either. I feel fine if lying down or sitting in a still position but if I move my head up down or sideways I feel like I am going to pass out. On top of that I woke up with a bloody nose. No other signs of illness though, weird huh?

I'm hoping that the dizziness is gone by the morning or getting to and from class tomorrow is going to be interesting.

I hope you are feeling better! Just be careful and see a Dr if it keeps up!

Anyway, it was probably close to 6:00 before I finally really slept again. The boys didn't get up until almost 8:00, and thankfully they just came right downstairs. I did finally get up at 9:00. I feel a nap in my future. I mean, technically I probably slept from 10:30 - 2:30 and then again from 6-9, so that's 7 hours, it's just...

I know all too well what weird sleep like that is like.

It was a LONG day yesterday. We watched TV most of the day and din't really get anything done, which really meant it was slow and boring. So around 10pm last night KC goes to take a shower and as he was finishing up the shower head broke off as he was angling it down! Of course it being a holiday today I can't get to a hardware store for a new one. It would have been nice to shower today, but it's gonna have to wait until tomorrow now. I am going to see if i can find the useless super and see if he has an extra one.

I paid some bills, which leaves us with not so much going on in the bank account until the next check, but everything is paid!

I have dishes to do, floors to sweep, bathroom to clean and some pork chops to make for dinner. We used Fresh Direct for the first time because we had a coupon for $50 worth of groceries for $25, and I got some good stuff, including some Chinese broccoli. I am going to see what the heck i can do with that as a side dish.

I am also making the goal that I will apply for at least 5 jobs a day, so I have some kind of flow going and don't get too lazy about looking.

Anyways I need to hunt down the stupid super and hope for a shower head so I can de-funk myself.

I just played 2 games of Cootie with Jimmy. Then I cooked the chicken cutlet, so that is done. When Jim gets home I will make the rice and green beans and dinner will be ready I have 2 loads of laundry left to do. I think after that I am done, stick a fork in me!

There are only a few small hardware stores over here and they always close early on regular days, so a holiday is an excuse for a half day. I didn't feel like trekking out there to find out it was closed.

Fresh Direct. It's an online grocery service. They are pretty good but i tend to buy the supermarket brand stuff and there are only name brands there, so we may order from time to time but not all the time.

I certainly think that qualifies as an emergency call to your manager.

The realty company we rent from is completely useless! They are never in on a holiday or weekend. The shower head came off but didn't break, it just needs a replacement. I will end up getting one tomorrow because even if I could find the super (I couldn't) he will give us a carpy one i'm sure.

I'd say about 7 inches. Not an enormous storm by our standards, but a decent one - sadly, it was the heavy, wet stuff that's a killer to move.

Well, by the time John showed up and we went down to look at the snowblower, it had melted out enough to see an enormous rock gumming up the works. So, all set.

Kids are eating mac & cheese, then Woody needs to work on his hat, and they both have to do showers. I am having a glass of wine, which probably means that I'll be in bed early, too! (I know it's a weekday, but there's a bottle open from yesterday, and I think I deserve it today. )

That's cool. When I first had Jimmy I would order alot of our groceries online, just for the convenience!We buy some store brand, but some things (like Mayo) I have to have name brand. Store brand can save some dough though

Jimmy and I are done eating dinner. Jim just got home a few minutes ago and is eating now. I am thinking game night may be cancelled. Jimmy is current;y watching Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers and is really tired. I'm thinking it is going to be an early night

For us, too. I shouldn't have let Woody decide to do the hat after dinner - when it didn't go right the first time, he broke down. He's in the shower now, and the hat is done, so that's good.

Except, crafty folk - we made a "cowboy hat" with a brim of cardboard, and we're using newspaper shaped into the crown part. I have tried spray starch to keep the shape, but not sure it's going to work. Any ideas on how to stiffen up newspaper? Should I brush it all over with glue? Just give the starch more time?

I was feeling much better today, only had a few instances where I felt a little bit dizzy and not nearly as bad as it was yesterday. Funny thing though, yesterday when I was dizzy and felt like I would fall just standing up I didn't injure myself at all. Today I was walking out of the house and WHAM! I totally wiped out on some ice on the driveway that must have formed overnight. Ouch! My pants were all wet but I didn't have time to go back inside and change so I had to go to school in my wet clothes. Luckily they dried by the time my first class was over.

Bath is done and Jim is up reading stories I have packed lunched and just took my last load of laundry out of the washer and hung it to dry (the delicates) We have some paperwork we have get done tonight, then I am going to bed. As much as i liked having off today, I do not like Monday's off---they always make the week seem longer for some reason

What is this for anyway?

The assignment is weird to me. Each classroom was assigned an author. The kids were to pick any book by the author, make a hat "from materials you have at home" and decorate the hat to reflect the book. Be prepared to talk about the book.

They have just started book reports - I have no earthly idea why there needs to be a hat. Neither book my kids chose involve hats in any way. I asked if they wanted to glue stuff on, and they both just want to draw designs on the hats - therefore, we need the hats to not be cardboard brown, as the drawings wouldn't show up. I hate this kind of thing.

Drawing on just a piece of paper wouldn't have worked just as well. The teacher's probably a crafty one and didn't think this would be difficult at all. Good luck. Although I'm glad I don't have to think up things for kids to do.

It's cold this morning, only 49, but it's supposed to get to 70 this afternoon. Now comes the conundrum of what type of outerwear I bring that will keep me warm this morning but not be a PITA to carry this afternoon.
