CE Pixie Dust for you friend and her mom!!!:hug:

Thanks, Rosie. :hug:

Hope so, too. :hug: I'm sorry. Woody was actually up and waiting for me when I came out of the bathroom to go get them up. :confused: :rotfl:

Morning Fockers! :goodvibes Mitch left yesterday so I'm need to clean today, or maybe not. I have 3 weeks. ;)

:hug: I'm sorry he's gone, but yep, that's another benefit! ;)

CE, I hope the doctors can help your friends mom. :hug:

Thanks. I need to call and see how the night went. Originally, she was to meet with a thoracic surgeon today, to hopefully go in and look at that lung this afternoon or tomorrow, but I don't know if they can do anything like that at the moment. Deb's sister was supposed to fly in on the red eye from Washington state this morning, too, which I think will help Deb - just with not having to be the only one making decisions and stuff. Their mom had lived in WA for many years to be close to those grandkids, and just moved the end of October here to be with these kids. Sigh. :sad2:

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I'm in the Monday morning mood to do mostly nothing until tennis, but I think I have to get moving. I'm thinking I'll go now and get the car inspected and hopefully get to Target. (I have my thyroid prescription that I've now gone a couple of days without taking. I can't ever tell if I forget - I don't get symptoms or anything - but that's not probably particularly smart... ;))

Then, I'll go to tennis, and then, hopefully, I can hit up the grocery afterwards, though I'll have to be quick. I could probably make it another day and just go tomorrow when I have nothing to do until after school. Except the kids want the tuna noodles tonight, which involves more milk than I feel comfortable using if I don't have more. :rotfl2:

We'll see how much happens before tennis, because if I can't get to Target this morning, I'll HAVE to go after tennis. But, hey! (thinking out loud, so to speak) Target has milk, so that would be something. It's not a Super Target with groceries, but there would be milk to be had if needed.

Then, I need to call our toll road thingy. We have the transmitter, but I pulled it off the velcro in the windshield of the van, so when we went through a toll yesterday to go skiing, I just held it up. That didn't work, and only then did I remember that I have new license plates and they weren't on the account. So, I quickly used my phone to add the new plates. I tried to call right away, but they don't answer on Sundays. I looked it up this morning, and apparently they'll look up the plate picture to match to an account before sending a ticket, but I need to be sure that it will be OK that I did the plate add afterwards. ;) I don't know if that's manual or automated, I guess, is the problem. If it's manual, they wouldn't do it until today, but if it's auto... Well... :lmao:

OK, I think I'm off. Have a great morning, everyone! :grouphug:

I should probably do that too, but like I said, I have 3 weeks. ;)

Are your plates matched to the transmitter when you go through the toll? We can move the Sunpass from car to car but need the plates to match for adding more money.

I have decided to make banana bread since I have left over bananas. Then I need to wash the comforter and rugs in the bathroom, but the washer is in the garage and it's so cold, still. :headache: I'm supposed to go to AK tomorrow, but if it's this cold, no way! :sad2:

That all sounds complicated :rotfl2:

Mitch doesn't have heat in his barracks. :eek: There's a picture of him on my FB page. :rotfl:
OMG why not???

The girls will be back tomorrow unless we get more snow. Their bus won't come to the bottom of our road like normal though as it's still too icy so they need to walk to the main road!

Hi ladies!

I'm heading to work in just a minute, so I need to make this really quick.

Jo- Glad to hear that the school will be back tomorrow and you got out of the house for a bit. You are right that it is tough for Steve. I can't even imagine just how tough.

CE- I'm glad we don't have tolls. They sound like a pain. Also, I hated having all those wires in my car too. Our kids now use our old iphones for video watching. :thumbsup2 Prayer to your friends mom. :hug:

Angela- Good to hear you are keeping your self busy. I'm thinking about you! Your washer is in the garage? Is that FL thing?

Janet- Hope Jimmy has a better rest of the day. What is home and school meeting?

----------------

I think I just MAY have gotten DH to agree to the trip. I need to finesse the #'s. We have a big summer trip planned, so I need to be careful on how much this one costs.

Like I said, I'm off to work. It's just a 3 hour shift, but it'll be fun to get out of the house and talk to grown ups for a while. Tink has a mommy date night at school tonight, so we get to go and do projects together. It should be fun!

Are your plates matched to the transmitter when you go through the toll? We can move the Sunpass from car to car but need the plates to match for adding more money.

I don't know. Supposedly we can have one transmitter for both cars (though we each keep one, since D goes through and then sits for days...) but maybe it was because the plate wasn't on the account.

Mitch doesn't have heat in his barracks. :eek: There's a picture of him on my FB page. :rotfl:

Yikes!

The girls will be back tomorrow unless we get more snow. Their bus won't come to the bottom of our road like normal though as it's still too icy so they need to walk to the main road!

Hope they can go!

The main road up and down area is a toll, but I actually very rarely use it. D has to go through one set to get to work. But, when they added the EZ Pass system, the transmitters were on a really good sale, and the tolls are 15% off. Now that we have the boat, we have to use the toll road more often all summer.

Thanks for the prayers. I haven't talked to her yet today, either.

Ugh. I accidentally resynced my whole iPhone with iTunes when I was only trying to lose the Christmas music, so that took way too long to get out the door. By the time I got out of the house and got to the inspection place, there was a line (which I don't get - it only usually gets bad at the end of the month) and so not only did I not get to Target, I was late to tennis. :headache:

D decided that he was going to Panera, though, which is in the same strip as Target, so he did that errand for me (or, he's doing it right now, I should say) and therefore I did get to the grocery after tennis, instead. :thumbsup2

The kids have done their homework and I need to think about cooking, though the tuna noodles are super quick. I've done some laundry and not too much else. ;)

Are netbooks any good?

He LOVES his. It's a Dell. He plans to upgrade the hard drive for more space but it runs really well and is so sleek and cute!

Love the fort!

Kat- How was the chicken?

KC loved it. I liked it a lot. It's my not love for bone in chicken that did it tho, not the flavors. I would make a few changes but it was really good and I will prob try it again. It was a Rachel ray Recipe.

My mom used to put food colouring and water in a spray bottle so we could decorate our snow houses/paint the snow.

That is the coolest idea, i need to file it away for when I have kids!

You are joking about the warm thing, right?:rotfl2:
I hope you got everything organized.

LOL We did a whole lotta nuttin' actually!

Anyway, good thoughts are appreciated. :grouphug: Thanks, guys.

Positive thoughts headed your way!

Morning Fockers! :goodvibes Mitch left yesterday so I'm need to clean today, or maybe not. I have 3 weeks. ;)

:hug: At least you can take your time. And Poor Mitch freezing! KC & I are still sorta talking about the whole military thing, it's kinda up in the air.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So it's been the ultimate lazy day! KC took a personal day and we stayed in bed all day and then ate some blueberry bread and now he's gaming and I'm surfing the net. He needed this day off i think. now he only has to go in Tues and Wed and then he's off for 2 days again.
We haven't accomplished much but watching How I Met Your Mother and playing video games o0n the DS. LOL.
Tonight there is this music show KC wants to go to, I really just wanna stay home because it's cold and icky out there. I have about 20 min to decide tho, so we'll see what he says. Hopefully I can convince him to stay in and play games all evening. :goodvibes
I had a great first day back! I was exhausted (only slept three hours last night) but it wasn't too bad. I think I am going to love my Sociology prof, he is hilarious. Anatomy and Physiology should be interesting and Chem is always fun, both profs for those classes are great and I had them last semester for Bio and Chem so I know what to expect. My physics prof is great too! He is an older man (probably 60's) and has the cutest most distinguished English accent, I feel more educated already just listening to him do the introduction. :laughing:
Only worrisome thing was my friend Britt was missing from class. It is totally unlike her to miss class, especially on the first day! She was supposed to get back into town on the weekend and she has not shown up on Facebook so we have no idea where she is. Maybe she decided she wanted to stay in the Bahamas with her dad instead of coming back to the snowy cold North? :laughing: Anyways we were a bit worried about her, hopefully it is just a delay with her travel arrangements and she shows up soon. :guilty:
Yum!
Mom and dads is in the utility room and my mother said the same thing. She gave up the fight yesterday though and went out and did laundry!
Hope it warms up for you soon!
:scared1: Will check out the picture!
Don't sound so upset about it Jo:lmao:
Janet- Hope Jimmy has a better rest of the day. What is home and school meeting?
Home and School is our PTA or PTO?
Jimmy seemed to have a good day at school and a good appointment with therapist too!:thumbsup2
Keep looking for those codes:banana:
Do you have the drive through inspection places like NJ has? Here in PA it's basically drop your car off and pick it up later.
Glad your semester started off well and that everything is ok with your friend:goodvibes:hug:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hey all. Home and School meeting went well, but I am tired! IT's been a long day. Tomorrow I have an eye doctor appointment at 9:15 and then Jimmy has an OT appointment at 4:00pm. In between I think I will take a nap;) Hope everyone is having a good night!
Well, we can get it done at any quick lube place or whatever, and it usually doesn't take long. Today was weirdly long. :confused3
Home and School meeting went well, but I am tired!
Isn't that strange? ;) Glad it was good.
How are you???
He's only gone for 3 weeks so I'm good. Thanks!
Because of the heat they are in the garage in older houses. My sis has hers inside though.
I think I just MAY have gotten DH to agree to the trip. I need to finesse the #'s. We have a big summer trip planned, so I need to be careful on how much this one costs.
Nice day. :thumbsup2
You know it's probably nothing but can't help thinking the worst. :hug:
I like it. :thumbsup2
I'm still not sure if we're going to AK. I'd like it to be a little warmer. ;)
Good Morning Fockers! :wave2:
We're back and so happy to be back in warm temps! :faint: We had a crazy-fun time, but holy crap it was bitter cold! I've never experienced 25* weather. It's crazy! Why in world do people not live in So. Cal??? ;)
I've got tons of stuff to do today... laundry, food shopping, unpacking. Ugh!
Hope you all have a good day! I need to find a Kristel update to see what I missed.
:hippie:
Very strange ::yes::
On th eplus side remember that AK is 30 degrees hotter than anywhere else on property;)
Welcome Back:goodvibes So did the kids find outpopcorn:: Can't wait to hear all about it!
Good afternoon all! Had a great check up at the eye doctors. He said all is good and I don't have to go back for 3 months!:woohoo:
Just hanging out now until I have to pick Jimmy up for his OT appointment. I should leave here about 2:30.
We had a crazy-fun time, but holy crap it was bitter cold!
Amen to that. I seriously cannot get warm - I've never felt so cold in my life. Not even in Buffalo. Know why? Because in Buffalo, unlike WDW, every single building is HEATED. I can't tell you how many restrooms, rides and random buildings were unheated or inadequately heated. Sadly, the Deep Freeze continues and I'm now freezing at home, too. :headache:
Still, it sure was good to see my peeps again! :grouphug: I'd love to share some pics... but Flickr is being a royal PITA. Maybe later... :confused3
Welcome Home to you too:goodvibes I heard the warm up is coming!
I guess I never thought about the heating systems in WDW since I ususally go in the summer and more concerned with finding the best places to get cool!
I"m guessing you all didn't hit Club Cool this trip:rolleyes1
Welcome back! Glad you had fun!
Ah... It's like being here in the summer, where no one has adequate AC when it gets up to 90. I'm sorry. :hug: Cold tushies in the bathroom are the worst!
***************************************************
I'm being ridiculously lazy. I puttered around this morning for a bit, then napped on the couch for a while. I think I'm going to get the steamer out now, though - the bathrooms need a good scrub down. And, I think I need to pick up the family room again now. We did OK in the immediate aftermath of the holidays, but now things are starting to get strung around the house. I need to figure out a plan for the board games. We had a fantastic spot for them until we got 4 more, and yet I don't think we're ready to get rid of any that were old. I'd already put away the "little kid" games ages ago. :confused3
D is gone until tomorrow evening, but I only have about 2 1/2 hours until the kids come home, and we'll have to rush off to tennis.
Anyway... Hope you have a good one. I'm sure I'll be back - if I'm cleaning, you know how I am! :rotfl:
You got WAY more done than I did, which was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING:guilty:
