Good luck with the dentist appointments:thumbsup2

Thanks. They're usually pretty good. Woody's had one cavity (in a baby tooth), but with the new technology, the filling was totally unpainful - so much so that it's not a deterrent. :sad2: :rotfl:

After that, we've cut back his juice intake, and so I hope he'll not have any more issues. Buzz not particularly liking most desserts nor juice is usually more than fine. ;)

Getting to work to today was pure heck! There was an accident on the expressway (overturned dumptruck) which was pushing all the traffic on the route that I ususally take

That stinks! :headache:

Oh, TE....

Boy, I'm feeling chatty suddenly...

So, I'm relieved as I have a high school friend who goes to Haiti every winter to do missionary work, and last night, her family here in the states couldn't get hold of her after the earthquake. Luckily, she's fine - they heard from her this morning. :thumbsup2

And, I checked back with my friend Deb yesterday. Her mom is now on a respirator and fully sedated in the ICU. She was just too agitated and continued to fight the care. The plan is to do some exploratory surgery tomorrow, so they felt it best to rest her body before that. :guilty: On one of the CT scans, they found an enlarged ovary, and sadly - as the respiratory issues are not acting like pneumonia (or any infection) or lung cancer - they are beginning to feel that she's more likely in a high stage of ovarian cancer, but they won't know for sure until tomorrow. The scan showed cysts, but not a clear tumor - but they do agree that maybe her symptoms would jibe with that diagnosis. :sad2: I just feel awful for them. But, Deb sounded some better yesterday as her sister had indeed flown in from Seattle, and at least they are together to make decisions and also to relieve each other in the hospital, etc.

Anyway, continued good thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, guys. :grouphug:

CE, how terrible. :hug: Scary for it to get that bad and not realize there's a problem.

It's just been weird. Deb's a big fan of House, and she says that they need him. ;) They've run tests upon tests and just can't really figure out what's going on... If this is what it is, at least they KNOW and can maybe do a treatment plan (if it's not too far gone...)

Yikes and I somehow deleted eveything else but yes I do iron T-Shirts as otherwise they're all wrinkly :rotfl2:

Oh Kristel, I'm sorry. :hug::hug::hug::hug: Sending many good thoughts your way.

Welcome back T and V and you're not going to believe me but during our trip we were complaining that everywhere was heated and too hot :rotfl:
:rolleyes: Turst me, though, you'd not have found it too hot last weekend! BRRRRR!!!

Me too and I hate it. :headache:
I've never been so excited to hear "60" in the forecast, lol!

And, I checked back with my friend Deb yesterday.

Angela- I am all about a deal but I think whatever is better long term and makes u more comfortable is what you should go with!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings from one exhausted lady!
I managed to stay awake until 10pm and feel asleep until midnight, only to find KC still awake and it cased me to wake up. So I silently watched TV in bed till he went to sleep (about 1am) and then I read for an hour. I had some OK sleep until about 5:30am when KC's boss called and he had to get up and work. That meant he had calls to make which woke me up again!
Mostly I am annoyed at the guy who has the after hours phone because he didn't answer it. There had been an outage with their company since 1am and the guy never answered! Mind you, they get paid extra to have this phone and they pass it off month to month, and KC has woken up more than once at odd hours, but not this guy. So we ended up staying awake and ordering some food from the diner for breakfast before KC went to work. He is sure to be a bundle of joy after having about 5 hours of sleep and then working. Luckily he's off tomorrow.
I am also at a standstill with our anniversary/vow renewal plans. KC got the ok for a Sat off so we can do the vow renewal in Central Park like we wanted. SO I called the restaurant to make the ressies and they wont let me make a reservation! Not even for a frikkin party of 20. So now I dunno where the heck to go to eat. I am trying to keep the cost down as much as I can so people don't spend an arm and a leg but it's harder in the city to find a nice place thats actually on the affordable side.
Whew thanks I needed to get that all out.
I dont plan to accomplish much today, i'm too tired and zombie like. Just cooking dinner, mushroom mac & cheese.
I've written this on FB but had to fume here too :headache: We had an email yesterday from Guides (girls aged 10 - 14) saying that they were going to show the film Coraline and did anyone have any objections. Well we've seen it once and Jess hated/scared of it and Ellie wasn't impressed, I also thought it was horrendous and very scary so I replied that I didn't want it shown. Anyway half an hour into Guides I get a call to pick Jess up as they were watching Coraline :mad: I was so cross and we pulled them both out, they said they'd sent me a text (I got it 5 minutes ago) and they'd tried to call (we were in all day) to say they were going with the majority and showing it. WTH you're going to scare children because of the majority :headache: Lots of them hadn't even seen it before and will undoubtably be scared but not want to admit it!!! We're actually really considering pulling them out completely, they just don't do "Guide" stuff anymore and they're allowing the 14 and 15 y/o young leaders to decide what happens each week :sad2:
Well that's my vent over, thanks for reading :rotfl:
Yikes!
Sleeping issues suck - dinner sounds good. ;)
That's really insane. At the very least, they should have made sure to contact you. Plenty of people, you're right, are scared of that movie... Crazy. :hug:
Well, no cavities for the children! :thumbsup2 Woody had two new molars, so he got some sealants, but that was all that was anything but normal. Our regular hygienist was supposed to not be there as she's very pregnant, but the girl we had was good - and then our regular stopped in as she's got two weeks to go and they needed her to fill in. So, I got to see her, which was nice. She's the sweetest thing, and I'm happy for her - the baby was very wanted for quite a while. :goodvibes
D just walked in, and that's all I know!
Kat how is the job hunting going? That will help regulate your sleep :thumbsup2
I'm ready to pull them both out at the moment :rotfl2: and is it nasty that I want other kids to be scared of it? ;)
note to self---avoid NJ today! (or PA?!) both.
It's 35 today and I actually had to take my coat off cause it felt too warm. :rolleyes: Of course, the nursing home continues to run at 99 degrees.
Jo--I never saw Coraline but both Ab and BA said it was disturbing and definitely not for small kids. BA had dreams about it.
Not sure what we're doing for my bday tonite---BA has cheer practice so may delay dinner at Red lobster till the weekend--cause that's 45 min away and eating at 9 pm isn't going to make it!
Hello All!
I've only had 3 hours sleep so sorry if there are typos!
You guys really warm my heart with all the good thoughts and prayers. Thank you very much. We'll keep on truckin', chins-up, silver lining and all that!
We still have not heard from the doctor. Today is his day off.:rolleyes: I'm sure we will know tomorrow.
I needed do some food shopping and talk to my brother. He is the night shift plant manager where Doug works. I asked him to see if there was anything Doug could do temporarily. He said he would. Here's hoping.
Doug's Honda is a stick shift. He is having a hard time with shifting. He has been driving our truck. I figured before the gas hits an all-time high again we had better just go ahead and find something that is automatic with good gas mileage for him to drive. I looked at some cars on-line and then went to a former co-worker/friend who has a small car lot in a neighboring town.
Doug liked a 2006 Chevy Aveo LS, 4-dr hatchback. I knew what price it should be around. My friend's price was dead on. He gave us $1,000 off that price. It only has 39,000 miles and the carfax was clear. I wrote a check.
We'll sell the Honda when I get it cleaned up. I don't think we will have a problem getting it sold as it is only worth $2,800. Plus, we will sell a few other things in that pole barn come spring, mark my words.:thumbsup2
ANGELA - What did you decide on the pool repair?
LESSA - I'm glad your friend was OK. Sounds like you are going to have some great classed this term.
KAT - Poor KC. I know he likes what he is doing, but what a PITA. I hope you get your vow renewal stuff figured out.
ROSIE - I saw you went to the dentists. Are your choppers good?
JV - Good luck with the fuzzy math for your other trip!
