Change of plans... My SIL is in labor, so I'm heading to San Antonio!!! :yay:

Jo- Do you know if you are staying on yet?
Kind of but no details if full or part time!

Oh, Jo....what did you decide on the kitten????
We're getting one :faint: I do really want one but then I start remembering things like worming tablets, flea treatments etc etc :rotfl2:

Oh come on, Jo. I'll say mine if you say yours. :lmao:
Lets just say that if I had loads of money I could go to WDW whenever I want with no work ;):rotfl2: I do love the friends I've made though :goodvibes

Tomorrow I go for the MRI on my ear. I have to be there at 7:45. I have the first slot of the day so hopefully I won't be there forever.
Good luck

Mitch has left and I'm in a funk. I don't like it at all. Both that he has left and I am in a funk. ;) I'll never make it if he's gone for a year. I will, but you know. Usually I am perfectly fine being with myself, but at night, not so much. Enough complaining. He'll be home soon and I'm going to F & W Saturday. :goodvibes
Oh no, how long has he gone for?

Things with KC & I are GREAT. We had a very long talk and we brought everything out into the open (including the indiscretion i was hesitant to talk about before) and we really are on the road to good. We are planning a vow renewal for our 5 year anniv in Feb. I am relieved to have it all out in the open finally.
Sounds good

Wooohoooo!!!!

David and I played golf this morning which was nice, especially as I almost beat him :rotfl2: Later we're going to see one of David's pros new baby, the girls can't wait :goodvibes

Complain away - we can take it! Hang in there.

Evening All!! Had another good day at work the BIG boss called and was telling me about one of my consumers strange behavior !! Was happy to hear we were "ON " it!!!! So brownie points for Rosie!!!!!
Yay! :thumbsup2

T- I LOVE IT!!! 99% of the time am a box girl too. ;) But I do make a darn good not- a-box-carrot cake!
There's such a thing as cake without a box? :confused3 ;)

Jimmy is sick:sick::sad2: He is probably going to be home with me tomorrow, but I am going to have to take him with me to get my MRI done tomorrow.
Oh no!:hug::hug::hug: Lots of good vibes being sent to you both.

I don't pretend to get it, but if you're happy, then I'm happy for you Kat!

We're getting one :faint: I do really want one but then I start remembering things like worming tablets, flea treatments etc etc
FWIW, I have two cats and never do any of that. They're strictly indoors and the easiest pets we have. That's in comparison to hermit crabs and a goldfish, FYI. :rotfl: That said... I don't think I could do kitten-hood again. OMG, they're into everything! I'll never forget calling a plumber because my kitten stuck a foam curler down the tub drain, tried to reach in and get it back out... and got her entire leg stuck in the freaking drain. :headache:
Lets just say that if I had loads of money I could go to WDW whenever I want with no work
NO WAY?! :faint: No wonder you've tried to get me to apply - I live so close! Next year maybe... ;)

Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Poor Leo's struggling with school this week and we're soooo ready for a weekend. :sad1:

Jimmy is sick:sick::sad2:
Is he any better today? How did your MRI go?

Great news Kat! I'm so happy for you. :goodvibes

We will likely either go out to dinner tonight or bring something home, then she's insisting on D & I going out tomorrow night whilst she takes the boys out somewhere.
Nice! :thumbsup2

Change of plans... My SIL is in labor, so I'm heading to San Antonio!!! :yay:

Kind of but no details if full or part time!
:worship: So we still know a celebrity!

We're getting one :faint: I do really want one but then I start remembering things like worming tablets, flea treatments etc etc :rotfl2:
 You will love it! We take ours to the vet once a year and that's all, although they do stay inside so we don't have to worry about fleas or worms.

David and I played golf this morning which was nice, especially as I almost beat him :rotfl2:
I guess that means he's a good teacher. :rotfl:

For some reason I felt the need to stay up until Mitch's flight laded, 12:45 am, and then make sure he got his rental car. He was going to just drive the 90 minutes to his friends, but thankfully he decided to stay in a hotel near the airport. The he called me to tell me he got to the hotel, at 2.00. The door man didn't make it the other day, so I had to get up for him this morning. I definitely feel a nap is in my future later. ;)

D has decided, finally, that he needs to shower and get going, which is fine, except that MIL and I both also want to shower and so it's going to be lunchtime by the time she & I get out of here. :headache: Oh, well.

Janet---saw on FB that you didn't do the MRI---you ok?? How's Jimmy?

++++++

Ok......so I've been keeping mom's doggie and going over to watch her parrots this weeks whilst she and dad are in Ohio, right???

So....I'm whistling to the birdies....then I go upstairs....start looking at old photos of me.....go back downstairs..........enter the dining room.......see something scurry across the floor...........have a minor heart attack!.........and realize it's a cat!

So I close both doors quick and run to check on the birds...cause that would be bad....real bad! Birds are fine so I call mom in Ohio to see if she really wants a cat on her dining room curtains.....she does not.

So...I get a towel....and a broom....and a dog crate and I chase the poor kitty around the room! Did you know cats can climb really high? My 18# cat does not do this....nor does she run....so this is shocking! :scared1:

Cat runs.....throw towel over cat.....cat hisses....runs again....repeat times 3.......

Catch cat and throw towel and cat into crate......drive cat home......

Now I have a really scared black and white kitty in a crate in my garage....I gave him/her food, water, litter......now what???

Mom said that she had been seeing a litter of kitties in the field near the house so guesses this is one of them....it's skinny (yeah, I know, Isabella is obese--but this one is skinny)---not sure how old----3-4 months?? maybe.

Ideas?? Jo---want a free cat???

You're funny :rotfl2:

We'll have to see a picture... ;)
Will do, I expect FB will be plastered with photos on the girls pages :rotfl2:

Ideas?? Jo---want a free cat???
Yikes and I'll pass on that one :rotfl2:

The cat thing - as a kid we had loads of land and had so many pets ranging from dogs, cats (our cat had 13 litters of kittens!!!), chickens, geese, hamsters, budgies (we wanted 1 Dad bought 100 to bread!) sheep, rabbits etc etc that I over did the animal thing as a kid so can't be bothered as an adult, that's so not nice for the girls though is it :sad2: so I'm feeling guilty :rotfl2:

LOL---I have lost count of my critters...no wait....
2 horses
5 goats
5 cows (I think....should go count)
2 dogs...well, 3 now with mom's dog!
1 cat.....well, 2 if you count the one in the garage no one knows about!

So what's a budgie?? Do I need one of those?

I've just remembered we had a goat and some turkey's at one point too :rotfl2: A budgie is short for budgerigar and is a type of bird..............

I know what you mean. I always had a dog growing up, plus some barn cats, but once Linus is gone (and I'm not trying to hurry it along, it could be several more years yet) I have no interest in another pet. We travel too much, ski too much, etc. etc. A cat would be better, in fact, but I tend to be allergic - some cats are fine, but most are not, and how do you know until they're with you? :confused3 Plus, since we always had outside cats, I don't know so much about wanting to have a litter box or where I'd keep one.

Yes, this is why we have a bunny. Cats have litter boxes and they make my kids sneeze. I don't like dogs for a multitude of reasons. Birds are MESSY! Lizards, snakes etc, eat gross things like bugs and mice.

Bunnies are cute.

MEL

It's my 11 year Anniversary. Wowsers!

Jo- We too have a cat and never do the flea or tablet thing. She stays inside, unless she escapes to eat grass~ which she promptly yaks up all over the house! The only bother she is, is that she has med/long hair and needs grooming.

Have you all seen this (Could be modified for boys too):

The Princess Royal Rules

In exchange for being a princess in this Kingdom, I agree to abide by the Princess Royal Rules.

1. Princesses don’t whine. I won’t whine while at Walt Disney World.

2. I will follow the plan my King and Queen has set forth for me. Treasure cannot be obtained without following the plan and the Royal Rules.

3. I agree not to wear myself out being royalty all day. I will stop for a siesta and dip in the cool waters midday if deemed necessary by the King or Queen.

4. Princesses DO sweat! I agree to drink water, and plenty of it to stay hydrated in the tropical sun.

5. Princesses DO burn and should wear sunscreen.

6. The servants did not come with us on this journey so anything the princesses bring into the parks or buy in the parks are to be carried by the princesses NOT the King or Queen.

7. I agree to be ready to enter the Kingdoms (be at the bus stop) no later than 7:50. I understand that being at a Park at opening (rope drop) is critically important and that doing so ensures I can ride twice the rides with little or no wait.

8. Rides First, Characters Second, Shopping is a distant Third. I will stick to the Royal Rules.

9. All princesses must be able to navigate their own way. I will read the map.

10. For maximum time to explore the kingdoms, when one goes, all must go (to the bathroom, that is).

11. I will not irritate my King or Queen.

12. If the princess gets separated from the rest of the royal family, I agree to use the royal cell phone to immediately call the King or Queen

13. If there is something I would like to do again, I will politely speak up at that time. There should be plenty of time in each park for “bonus fun.” I realize that I may not get to do that second ride right away, but I am agreeable that we would get to do it again before leaving Walt Disney World

(Those who do not abide by the Princess Royal Rules will be forced to stay in the dungeon and be eaten by dragons)

I agree to abide by these Royal Rules: ____________________

:lmao:I like the Disney rules!

particularly the: I will follow the plan my King and Queen has set forth for me. Treasure cannot be obtained without following the plan and the Royal Rules.

Doesn't seem to work as well with teens tho---put the shopping 1st, the cell phone rule 2nd......then just let them wake up and meet you when they want! :thumbsup2

...or better yet, leave them at home!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Next year, Ab's senior class will go to WDW---and I think I would be a WONDERFUL chaperone what with my advanced Disney knowledge! :teacher:

Oh my:rotfl2:

Poor Leo's struggling with school this week and we're soooo ready for a weekend.

 Are your schools closed on Monday? A long weekend would be good for him. IS he struggling with the work, or do you think its other things going on:hug:

My nephew is going in May with his Senior class. I keep trying to talk him into letting me be a chaperone...he's not going for it. I keep reminding him that I am the cool aunt. :confused3

=======================

So I panicked in the MRI and only lasted about 2 minutes. CLAUSTROPHOBIC  Never doing that again. I will just go without hearing..thanks!

Took Jimmy to the doctor. He has strep:sad2: He is very sad that he missed school and even sadder that he will miss Cub Scouts tonight. THe doctor gave him an antibiotic. Luckily he is off from school Monday for Columbus Day, so that will give him an extra day to just chill out.

Not much else going on here.

Oh Janet---I didn't want to tell you my story before hand cause I didn't want to MAKE you afraid....but when Ab was having migraines 3 years ago, they needed a MRI....and she was really afraid....so they said "well, let's get mom in there and show you how easy it is".......and they strapped a helmet on me...and scooted me in the machine....and I had a panic attack and F-L-E-W outta there.....he hadn't even turned it on yet.:flower3:

So.....the neurologist booked her for an open one at a nice MRI center....they had a private nice room with a rocking chair for me and nice music and we both did fine!:thumbsup2

So I DO understand! :hug::hug::hug:

++++++++++
and yes, it's a parakeet--mom has one too only it's more blue

I don't know what happened. I'm not usually claustrophobic, but man that was just brutal. I have to call the ENT to see what the next step is going to be!

I applied for a very part time job with a scrapbooking store. I'd like to earn some extra $$ for vacations. I think there were over 30 applications, so I'm not holding my breath.

That sounds like it would be fun - I hope you get it!! I would LOVE to work at a quilt shop!

YES! Duncan Hines Devils food cake and Pillsbury Dark Chocolate frosting.

Yum-my!:thumbsup2

Oh crap! I forgot about Maddie!!! BBL.

:scared1: - Did you get her in time???

Snuck off for Chinese food. It was good but now I feel gross. Chinese food always makes me feel gross. Why do I persist in eating it?

I know what you mean - I think it's because I can just eat way too much of it!:faint:

Awesome. When are you going?

The cruise leaves Sat, January 23rd, we're going to FLA on the 21st and staying in Cocoa Beach until Saturday. I'd prefer to just leave Friday night, but hubby want to leave the day before, but that means another day of vacation, more boarding $$ for Lilly, another night's hotel - and the whole point of this is that it's supposed to be CHEAP!!:upsidedow But I'm not complaining ;)

She goes to Temple??

Yes, she's at Temple's Fox School of Business - accounting major (so then why can't she keep her checking account straight??? Watch out business world ) At least she's doing well in her classes :thumbsup2

I baked cookies today. You know the Pillsbury break and bake Halloween cookies

I love those - seriously, they're a guilty pleasure :lovestruc

Mitch has left and I'm in a funk. I don't like it at all. Both that he has left and I am in a funk. ;) I'll never make it if he's gone for a year. I will, but you know. Usually I am perfectly fine being with myself, but at night, not so much. Enough complaining. He'll be home soon and I'm going to F & W Saturday.

Poor Leo's struggling with school this week and we're soooo ready for a weekend. :sad1:

It's still kind of early in the year, hopefully he'll get into his groove... for both of you.

So....I'm whistling to the birdies....then I go upstairs....start looking at old photos of me.....go back downstairs..........enter the dining room.......see something scurry across the floor...........have a minor heart attack!.........and realize it's a cat!

 is right! I hope you can find her a home!

So what's a budgie?? Do I need one of those?

Oh, Budgies. I LOVE Budgie's. We had two - our Skyler, who was the boy, was just the sweetest little bird ever - he talked a bit and just loved people, he'd even eat off our plates. Princess was his "mate", she didn't like people but LOVED Skyler and used to drive him crazy chasing him around the cage - and the cage was huge - we used to call it "Budgingham Palace". Skyler's been gone about 4 years now and I still miss him terribly. Princess now lives with a new man, Spring, at our friend's house and she's very happy. I'd love to get another, but not with princess Lilly around.

It's my 11 year Anniversary. Wowsers!

Congratulations!

I never thought I'd come across something Disney you hadn't already seen ... =)

The Princess Royal Rules

This is too funny - I love it!

I think you've had your share of health issues in your house!!

TGIF! I'm hoping for a pretty quiet weekend - I definitely want to get the Halloween decorations up this weekend. And I have to get the old dead vegetables and herbs out of my sorry excuse for a garden (a gardener I am not!) I'm going to look for some mums to plant though. Tonight's our "date night" - we watch Ghost Whisperer & Medium on TV and have pizza on Friday nights. Well, DH watches GW, but he falls asleep by the time Medium comes on at 9pm :rotfl: - yep, excitement reigns at my house :rotfl2: Hope everyone has a good weekend!
