I'm so pleased it was caught in time and you must write sown the stuff she was saying to tell her when she's older :rotfl2:

:lmao:that's a good idea! I just remembered that the nurse gave her 2 stickers before the surgery--she asked her if she was tool old for stickers and BA said NOPE--and took a sticker of a purple monster and stuck in on her hospital gown....then she looked down at it and said "wow--he looks like he needs surgery more than I do!"........She also had a "I'm brave" sticker--and she said she'd keep that till AFTER the surgery to see if she really was!
(after the surgery--she wanted both stickers on her new gown! I saved them!:goodvibes )

Sometimes it's neat to see my little girl again--at 12, she tries to act all grown up too much....sigh!

It's the exact opposite here. DR wants the cheap little things and Lindsey is wanting the expensive stuff. It's sad that when I look at their lists. They have the same amount of items but Lindsey's cost WAY more than DR's. I feel bad and want to get him more to make up for that.
I am the same way, but Andy convinced me that kids count the # of gifts, not the price. Oh well, looks like I'm spending more on Evan. :lmao:

Anyone know if netbooks are any good? Do they do everything a regular laptop does only they're smaller????
Yes, they're generally smaller with minimal memory and speed. They're good for email and internet surfing.. that's about it. They have an Acer at Target today for $198, I'm thinking of getting that for TE for Xmas.
:lmao:that's a good idea! OMG! That made me :rotfl2:

Hi Fockers!

How is everyone?

Life is just crazy busy these days.

Can't wait to leave for WDW in 4 days, I am so looking forward to getting away, even for only 4 nights.

So everytime I look at accuweather, it changes, UGH! Makes finalizing packing difficult.

Murph has finally accepted she will be in a scooter part of the time at least, she still tires easily from her fall, though she is much better.

My feet on the other hand...

Looks like I may be facing surgery on the other one, (Murph and I may be sharing her scooter). We are trying one more treatment option. My Dr called some expert on the West Coast and we are flushing the nerve. Yes it's as horrible as it sounds. Had the first treatment last week and came home and took a vicodin that I had left over from the last surgery. Go for #2 tomorrow. I'm thinking of working from home Tuesday to rest it up for WDW. I can work from the couch that has recliners so I can elevate it all day.

My oldest SIL decided Murph and I are selfish for going away on Thanksgiving, she has never traveled on a holiday. Oh wait yes she has:rolleyes:. She's a hypocrite. I really don't care what she thinks, but it did upset Murph. Until SIL kept it up. Made a comment about saying hi to the dogs, Murph assumed she meant the pugs, she meant Pluto and Goofy. Well that was enough for Murph and she is going to be sending SIL a postcard from the dogs next week:laughing:

Other than that just looking forward to seeing V and Angela in a few days and catching up with them (I'll send you guys an email to finalize our plans).

Happy Thanksgiving Fockers (including Jo and Lessa;))

Hi all!!!

I did some skimming.

Kristel the wedding pics were great :thumbsup2
Loved the cake topper!!:laughing:

I see Mo checke in before her big trip. Hi Mo! :wave:

I can't believe most of you have most of your Christmas stuff out of the way! :eek: I can't even think of Christmas yet.

Kat: loved the HM thingies! :goodvibes

Hi everyone!!!

Are we doing the Christmas Card exchange thing this year again too.
I read Jo and T were going to make cards this year. FYI guys it's fun, but oh so time consuming....I'm still thinking on whether or not I'm making cards this year again too. If I'll do I'm going the simple route
*******************************************
Here's what's going on with me...
I had a huge fight w/ the parental unit. Basically she forbade me from going out and threw a big hissy fit and stormed out of the house.

For me this was completely ridiculous because I'm 30 freaking years old!!! Some people my age are married and have kids and she throws a hissy fit because I was going out to meet up with some friends on a Saturday night. Ugh.:mad:

We haven't talked for a week now and I'm thinking of moving out and getting a place on my own. I did some apartment hunting and analyzing of all my expenses and it'll be rough but I can't deal with her throwing hissy fits for everything I do. I need to live my life and I'm tired of her criticisms.

Anyway, that's about it. I'm just scratching the surface on the whole moving out stuff. I saw a really really great place with wonderful amenities and like 5 min from my work so I'll save on gas. But it's at the top of my budget. Still looking and then I have to decide if want to live in a fabulous place w/ fabulous amenities or a place where I won't be at the top of my budget. ::: sigh:: Decisions, decisions.

Wow that was longer than expected, thanks for letting me vent.

Miss you guys! :hug:

:laughing: Toronto had their big Santa Claus parade last weekend and we had ours tonight. Technically it is after Thanksgiving though so that is alright.

For you it is after Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone!

:wave2:

I have been super busy. I just started a business. It's embroidery and gifts. My website is under construction and right now I am running it out of my house, but am talking to someone about sub-leasing some space in her boutique. Not sure what I want to do yet. Might just stay out of my house for a little while. I did a fundraiser at my dd's school. I am doing another one at my ds's school in 2 weeks.

Pics of what you are selling?

Hope everyone is doing well and has a great Thanksgiving. We are going to SC to see family - even though the pig pickin is a no go.

Have a great Thanksgiving!:goodvibes

Well if I thought yesterday was BAD:scared1: Try this on for size MISSING CONSUMERWe searched for 6 hours before we found her , police involved and all !! Now she is sorta on lock down with a staff on her like paint on wall !! I have to go back at 9pm for 2 hours to bethe paint !!! What realy frosts me is all the "dang"paperwork it entails !

:faint:

Are we doing secret santa again? I already bought something for whomever when we were in florida.

I'm in if someone wants to organize it!

Hidy Ho Focker Buds!!!

Hi Kristel. Looks like it was an interesting wedding. The cake topper reminds me of our friend wedding. Theirs was the bride dragging the groom by the hair:rotfl:

So, we invited them over for a playdate, that turned into "Why don't you stay and we'll grill, it's nice out..." to "Sure, they can sleepover..."

Have had that happen before :rotfl:

Blinking rained again today :mad: This is getting silly, both girls have colds though so we couldn't go far, my sewing yesterday was for nothing as we skipped choir My golf match tomorrow has also been cancelled so D and I are aiming to go to the mall to finish the shopping off. I still don't have a big pressie for the girls, I did think of theatre tickets maybe Grease or something but it would cost over $300 which seems ridiculous. I know everything I write at the moment is about stuff being expensive :rotfl2: I also only have D 1 CD but everyone else is done

Hope the girls are feeling better.

Sorry about golf being cancelled.

:mad:at being almost done Christmas shopping;)

Niiiiice.

The fight was 3rd grade girls:eek:

T approves of all Mexican, except El Paso kits! coughcoughJANET!

We had Taco Bell for dinner friday night;):lmao:

We're doing that one, too Janet. It's a bit different for GS, but still a great experience. Do your boys tour a food pantry? We'll do that next Tuesday.

I don't hink so, I will have to ask them about that. Unfortunatlye I think the economy even hit the scouts. Not much was donated:sad2:

It been a busy weekend! Friday I took Maddie and Evan to DL to meet up with some friends and then my brother and SIL showed up with new AP's, so we hung out much later than we'd planned to. The kids were zombie's by the time we left and cried all the way home about "missing Dad". Oh brother.

Sounds like you had a good time!

I think I'll either update my TR or start my January PTR.

Don't you think you should finish one before you start another:rolleyes1

Not much going on with us today. !

Hi Lori :wave:

=====================

Hey all, did I check in yesterday? I think I did. Today was the parent vs. kids soccer game adn then the "awards"ceremony. Pics later. Jimmy got a trophy and Jim got a plaque for coaching. Afterwards 3 of Jimmy's friends came over to play for a while, and then when the mom's came to pick them up we wound up chatting for another hour.

Back to work and school tomorrow. I am only working 2 days and Jim and Jimmy have 3 days.

Hope everyone had a good Sunday. "See" you all tomorrow!

Hey, all. Read along but didn't quote.

T, sounds like a nice evening at DL!

Z, honey, I'm so sorry. :hug: Good luck - I'm sure you'll make the best decision for you. :hug:

TE, more funnies! :rotfl:

Janet, sounds busy.

Hi again, Lori! I'm sorry the kids will be gone. :hug:

Mo!!! Love you, hon. I'm so sorry about your foot and your $#&@y SIL. ;) Hope you have a great trip. :hug:

***************************************************
We had a nice afternoon/evening, but the gym messed up. They had my court time booked for tomorrow, so that kind of sucked. But, they found a piecemeal solution and were very apologetic. Then, we met up with our friends and we had a great time playing very casual tennis. We switched partners every 4 games, and that was a ball. ;)

We came home and made a very yummy veggie stir fry. The kids ate with their friends.

Hope you've all had a good day. :hug:

Good Morning!
OMG :rotfl2: At least it's a wedding you'll all remember :rotfl2: How much older than you is he???
I'm the oldest by 2 years. :rotfl2:

T - I knew you'd like that topper! Sorry the kiddos were havin' a 'tude @ DL.
CE - I'm glad you got everything worked out for T-day.
ROSIE - Hope you have a nice break.
Z - Living with parents as an adult is rough. :hug:
Hi, JANET!
MO - 4 days, YAY! I'm sorry to hear about your other foot.
DAWN - Did you collect the addresses for the card exchange? I'll need that before I leave. I think I have everyone except for you, Rachel and anyone else that moved since last year.

I'll be in WDW this time 2 weeks from now. I bet I will be waking up at about this time in the morning because I can't sleep. We'll be headed to DHS for the day. I thought we'd start with the 'weakest' link. :rolleyes1

We went to see 'New Moon' yesterday. I wanted to see the first show of the day, thinking it wouldn't be crowded. When we pulled up, it looked like a bus had just dropped off the whole high school. :eek: I told Doug to get seats for the 2nd show which was 11:15 AM. That theater never did fill up. :thumbsup2

I thought it was good. They followed the book pretty close. I mean you can't fit everything in but I think they did a good job of getting in the stuff that you needed to know. I still think Kristen is a bit stiff as Bella. I didn't feel it for her in the movie like I did in the book. I actually cried when I read the beginning of the book. Not even a glimmer for the movie.

We sat behind 3 moms with their teen daughters. When 'Jacob' appeared on screen the first time with his shirt off, I thought they were all gonna faint! They all moaned at the same time. It was too funny. :lmao:

I guess 'Blind Side' is doing terrific! I've heard a lot of people talking about it. It was showing at another theater complex that we drove by - the place was packed and there was no 'New Moon' showing at that one. Good for Sandra Bullock!:hippie:

I have to work the next 3 nights. I don't know how much I'll be on here.

Have a good Turkey week!

Happy week of Thanksgiving. :goodvibes I went to the grocery yesterday morning about 20 minutes after they opened and OMG, it was busy! I was able to get most of what I need, so that's good. There will only be 3 of us and I'll cook too much food, but we'll have fun.

My sis went to the Osborne lights Saturday, and as much as I wanted to go, Mitch wanted to watch the LSU/Ole Miss game. Thankfully OM won and it was an amazing game! :thumbsup2 The Blind Side is about Michael Oher who went to OM. Anyway, Reid loved the lights, the snow, the music, Mickey's hat. I hope they took pictures.

I'm mostly done with shopping except Mitch. He needs new Army boots, isn't that exciting? :rotfl2:Other than that, no idea.

Kristel, congrats to your brother. Love the cake. :thumbsup2
Z, :hug: I don't understand parents when you are grown.
Kat, Tiggerbell bought those boxes too and I love them. I'm sure you got a much better deal on them than they are here.
Mo, :hug: on your foot. I hope this treatment works.
TE, :rotfl:she has such a good attitude.
Janet, did you see QVC is having some Black Friday something? I'm not sure what it is, but I'll check it out.
Hello to everyone! :wave:

Then they took us to the holding room...gave her some "I don't care" medicine (Versid)....and she started singing....."Staying Alive"----she said "that's my goal!" Couldn't argue with that!

Then the nurse came up and said they had an emergency C section come in and BA said 'OK--TAKE THAT BABY OUT!":rotfl:
:lmao: I'm glad to hear she weathered it so well! :hug:

Lindsey is still having a hard time in dealing with going with her dad for Thanksgiving. She broke down the other night about it and then again last night. It makes me feel like a complete failure as a parent because of this. I know I'm not and I keep reassuring her but it just tugs at the ole heart strings.
Oh Lori, I so understand! :hug::hug::hug:

So everytime I look at accuweather, it changes, UGH! Makes finalizing packing difficult.
AccuV says bring some of everything this time of year. You never know when a warm or cold front will show up! :thumbsup2
Looks like I may be facing surgery on the other one, (Murph and I may be sharing her scooter).
Ugh, I'm sorry Mo. :hug:

would love to send someone to Bangladesh....
:thumbsup2 If we get enough of 'em to live together, I think we'll qualify for a group discount! :rotfl:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning all! It's been a long, long few days. I'll have to go to bullet points to catch you up :faint: :
Fri. -started running a high fever, though cough was better. Fever lasted through Sat.
Sat. - despite fever, did laundry, packed suitcases, figured out the penalty if I have to cancel our trip due to my illness, ran Leo to his barn and back so he could gather eggs, drove an hour to take him to his grandmother's for a visit and dealt with his horrific behavior and attitude following said visit. (This would be Bonehead's mother and Leo's behavior was atrocious the last time he visited her, too. They won't call him by his real name there; they renamed him "Buddy." What's wrong with these people?!)
Sun. - fever down, cough better. Went grocery shopping, vacuumed after cleaning a room full of cat yak because said cat ran through my bedroom whilst yakking, packed some more, set up the tree and village and prepared for work today.
Thank gawd for a workday so I can just SIT for a while! :rolleyes:
Wow, V. :hug: I know that you hate that they call him Buddy, but I did see a story the other day that fathers that call their kids that have good relationships. No idea why one relates to the other. :confused3 My BIL does that to Reid as well, along with Pal which I don't like either, and you're right, he has a nice name, why not use it?
Your tree looks lovely. :goodvibes
Did you see the high Thurs & Fri is only 68? I don't like it. :sad2:
Happy Thanksgiving Fockers (including Jo and Lessa;))
Thanks :rotfl2: so sorry about your foot, hope you don't need surgery :hug:
I read Jo and T were going to make cards this year.
Oh no it's the girls making cards not me :rotfl2: I did do that a few years ago but as you say so time consuming!!!! So sorry about your Mom, what's that about? I think you do need to move out, could you share?
Jimmy got a trophy and Jim got a plaque for coaching.
Awww :goodvibes
They had my court time booked for tomorrow, so that kind of sucked. But, they found a piecemeal solution and were very apologetic. Then, we met up with our friends and we had a great time playing very casual tennis. We switched partners every 4 games, and that was a ball. ;)
Glad they got it sorted :thumbsup2
I'm the oldest by 2 years. :rotfl2:
Well you look younger :thumbsup2 Too funny about the swoons in the film and your trip is close now :goodvibes
(This would be Bonehead's mother and Leo's behavior was atrocious the last time he visited her, too. They won't call him by his real name there; they renamed him "Buddy." What's wrong with these people?!)
WHAT!!!! Do they know he doesn't like it? How silly!!!! Hope you feel better today :hug:
I woke this morning to loads of coughing and nose blowing but both girls were dressed for school so I made the decision they couldn't go and ordered them back to bed :rotfl2: I then had a call from my Mum, her long term partners grandaughter commited suicide last night :eek: She was only 18 but had had depression for years, suffered with anorexia at some point too. Very very sad though, this is the 2nd suicide in 3 weeks for my Mum, the other was the wife of her friend, they were newly weds and they'd just had a baby 3 weeks before. She was from Thailand and couldn't cope :sad2: We've told the girls that Adele had an accident (we did that when my school BFF did it 3 years ago) I just can't go into suicide with them even though they are growing up :sad1:
So that's my fun update :rotfl2:
well I coughed all nite---first nite I didn't sleep with BA--kept our cell phones close in case she needed me but didn't want to cough on her. Now I'm coughing up crud. Getting my inhaler...back.....
BA up now and really sore. Gonna be a long nite. At least I got to work some last nite.
Good morning!
I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night so waking up at 6am this morning was painful. I was also dreading going to my 8:30 Ethics class as I was not looking forward to getting my test paper back. I had such a bad feeling after I wrote it but it turns out my gut lied to me as I did well after all. :laughing:
I'm in the library on my hour break between Ethics and Chemistry. I could be studying but I just don't have the focus for it right now so I thought I would check in over here. Want to know what is contributing to my lack of focus? My thoughts are consumed with my lust for a purse I saw online yesterday.
I am having a major debate with myself over the purse, I REALLY want. It is only sold at WDW so I would have to order it through the merchandise line. International shipping would be $100! :scared1: So if I do buy it that means I would have to ship it to the family in Ohio (only $20). That would mean I wouldn't actually get my hands on it until the spring/summer. It is SO cute though and I really really want it.
There are two versions I am debating between.
This slightly larger version is $175
Then this one is $150
P1020159.jpg
P1020160.jpg
I like the tulip tassle slightly better but it is smaller. I have that same size purse already and it fits my stuff but a little extra room is nice... Which would you pick?
Thanks :rotfl2: so sorry about your foot, hope you don't need surgery :hug:
Oh no it's the girls making cards not me :rotfl2: I did do that a few years ago but as you say so time consuming!!!! So sorry about your Mom, what's that about? I think you do need to move out, could you share?
So that's my fun update :rotfl2:
Oh--you are having a bad day too. :hug:
My dad's first cousin committed suicide last week---he was a really successful 64 year old businessman in Orlando. Long standing depression---and his mother did the same in her 50s. :sad2: Both hung themselves.
I didn't tell the girls cause they didn't know him anyway, but it is something we talk about at times cause it's happened at the high school.
Prayers for your mom and friend. :hug:
Jo - Don't know how I missed your post. Suicide is such a hard thing to deal with. It is just such a hard thing to understand, it is difficult understanding the mental state that somebody has to be in in order to take their own life. I am so sorry that your Mom is having to deal with this twice, especially as they were so close together.
I was so shocked last year when I found out that a childhood friend had hung himself. It is never easy, hopefully your girls will never encounter this harsh reality with any of their friends or family. :hug:
Jo I am so sorry for your bad news !!!!:hug:
I have some GOOD NEWS!!! :worship: Jud's divorce was final this morning !! She has sole custody and if he wats visitation he has to go to court and with all the ammo she has from Kyle's counsellor it wont happen !!!He idn't show up again so lost by default!!!!:banana::banana:
Still no word on the new job , Judy is not hopeful that they will pay her what she wants and deserves so fingers crossed on that one:worship:
Janet, sounds busy.
Yep...and its just going to get worse as the week goes on!:sad2:
We switched partners every 4 games, and that was a ball. ;)
If I didn't know you were talking about tennis I would be:scared1:
Have a good Turkey week!
You too:goodvibes
Don't they provide them:confused3
Janet, did you see QVC is having some Black Friday something? I'm not sure what it is, but I'll check it out.
Hello to everyone! :wave:
I missed that, I will have to check it out!
Sat. - despite fever, did laundry, packed suitcases, figured out the penalty if I have to cancel our trip due to my illness, ran Leo to his barn and back so he could gather eggs, drove an hour to take him to his grandmother's for a visit and dealt with his horrific behavior and attitude following said visit. :confused3 :sad2: So sorry. Once bonehead moves will he still them?
Did you see the high Thurs & Fri is only 68? I don't like it. :sad2:
Oh, wait...let me send you a parka:rolleyes:
So that's my fun update :rotfl2:
Sorry about your friends granddaughter:hug:
There are two versions I am debating between.
Neither, becasue I am too cheap to spend that much on a purse:lmao:
I have some GOOD NEWS!!! :worship: Jud's divorce was final this morning !! She has sole custody and if he wats visitation he has to go to court and with all the ammo she has from Kyle's counsellor it wont happen !!!He idn't show up again so lost by default!!!!:banana::banana:
:yay:
-----
Hi all. Quick check in on my out to lunch. Have to go to the bank, the post office and the scout store...yeah no eating today:rolleyes: Decided to take tomorrow off since I didn't get as much done over the weekend as I wanted. So I will be off for a week:woohoo: Yeah, don't want to rush back into the whole full-time work thing:rolleyes1
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving week. I will try and check in as much as I can. :goodvibes
Wow, V. :hug: I know that you hate that they call him Buddy, but I did see a story the other day that fathers that call their kids that have good relationships.
Ah, but it's not Dad calling him that as in "my pal" - they've renamed him. My ex-MIL informed me that they don't like to use "Leo", so he just goes by "Buddy" there. These people are nutwings I tell ya. :headache:
I woke this morning to loads of coughing and nose blowing but both girls were dressed for school so I made the decision they couldn't go and ordered them back to bed :rotfl2: I then had a call from my Mum, her long term partners grandaughter commited suicide last night :eek:
:hug: What a start!
well I coughed all nite---first nite I didn't sleep with BA--kept our cell phones close in case she needed me but didn't want to cough on her. Now I'm coughing up crud. Getting my inhaler...back.....
Ugh, feel better! :hug:
International shipping would be $100!
OMG! It's not like they're shipping to Cairo - it's Canada for goodness sake! :faint:
I have some GOOD NEWS!!! :worship: Jud's divorce was final this morning !!
Hooray!!! :cheer2:
Once bonehead moves will he still them?
Oh Bonehead's long-gone; he moved back in Aug. I'm nice enough to allow H to visit the ex in-laws once in a while. I think that's done, though, after the behavior I saw. :sad2:
