I hope they will still be there when he gets back.

Are they planning layoffs:confused3

You and me both. :mad: So help me, I swear I saw a snowflake go by this morning! :scared1:

No!:scared:

:eek: Wow! I've priced things out a few times, and no matter what I still come out ahead doing it piece-meal here.

We went through the verizon website:confused3

morning! Still sick, but dragged into work for half a day because I'm nearly out of sick/vacation hours and can't afford to take unpaid time off. :headache: Gotta go get some writing done. Hope it's a good day around here!

Hope you are having a good day!

With the frigid temp in FL, I need to find some gloves and thermal/long underwear for at night. I have no idea where to find that stuff in LA? Perhaps a sporting goods store?

:hippie:

Modells or Dicks SPorting Goods. Do you have REI there? They specialize in outdoor and camping stuff http://www.rei.com/

Sorry, Janet, I'm hijacking your quote, but T, I have the amazon.com Prime service, too, so overnight shipping is only $3.99. If you find something you like there, let me know and I'll order it and ship it to you - though I might have to send it to WDW as it's after noon here. :confused3

They are model cars that are raced on a track. They just have to build it out of a clock of wood, paint and decorate it, etc.
Well that sounds safer than Jimmy riding it :rotfl2:

Today is also Mitch's last day at work until next month. He leaves this weekend for Georgia for 3 weeks. Several of his employees have sent him emails about his leaving which he has forwarded to me. So sweet of them and I hope they will still be there when he gets back.
When does he actually go abroad?

So help me, I swear I saw a snowflake go by this morning! :scared1:
Sorry but :rotfl2:

Jo - You bought 12 boxes of crackers? :faint: Where do you store them? :lmao:
No silly one box of 12 :rotfl2: When exactly do you leave?

The one we drove last night and the ones we are looking at are the other one, though - this one, nearly exactly if we get the red:

I can't see the photo?!?!?

We made pita pizzas tonight, so easy and hopefully reasonably healthy except all the cheese on top :rotfl2: We have tons of snow forecast so the girls are praying for no school tomorrow (we don't have to make up snow days as we have so few) David isn't working as he only had 1 lesson booked in so moved them, it's silly to drive all that way for 1 person especially if it's dangerous!

12 crackers? I think I am missing something here!:confused3

Pizza sounds yummy. I wouldhave cancelled one person too!:thumbsup2

I then nipped to the store and grabbed a box of crackers, 12 of them reduced to £1.25 which is about $1.85 :thumbsup2 12 will last us for the next 3 years :rotfl2:

$1.85???? Geeze, I guess they are expensive here in the US - we paid $18.00 for a box of 10 and didn't think that was bad! :faint:

Got the van cleared and vacuumed, just need to run it through a car wash. I'm just going to do it by the gym when I take the kids for tennis.

Filled out an app and got pre-approval from the credit union on the loan, but still need some details to be sure it would be the lowest rate we're seeing on the site. But, we're not locked in. ;)

Good luck with new vehicle - it's always so exciting. :banana: My girlfriend just showed me her brand new car yesterday and wowser - had more bells and whistles - and it wasn't a top of the line or anything. Made my 2-1/2 year old car look positively dumpy by comparison :rotfl2:
----------------

Just popping in for a quick minute to say hi :wave2: Spent an irritating night last night on the phone with an Apple support person trying to fix my iTunes (which starting freezing every time I tried to download my podcasts and even when I tried to play anything). After 2-1/2 hours it still wasn't really fixed. He finally had me open another user account and add iTunes to it and transfer all my music and stuff. It's just okay now - not working perfectly. What I think happened was because of a free music certificate I got from Amazon after purchasing an iPod Touch. To get an MP3 from Amazon you have to download their MP3 Downloader software. It was right after that everything went bad and we figure it had something to do with that software messing with iTunes. I quickly uninstalled the Amazon downloader and won't be taking advantage of the free music, but my iTunes was still corrupted. :headache:

::yes:: I have been skiing not that far from you - I'm sure someone will have it. (Big Bear, btw.) Good luck!
Big Bear's not too far... about an hours drive. I'm not driving to Big Bear, though. :rotfl2:
Modells or Dicks SPorting Goods. Do you have REI there? They specialize in outdoor and camping stuff http://www.rei.com/
Ooh... we have a brand new REI here. I'll have to check it out today.

Thanks, CE. :goodvibes I think I'll trying a few stores before hitting up Amazon.
No silly one box of 12 :rotfl2: When exactly do you leave?
:rotfl2::rotfl2: OHHH!! I just got it! Those Christmas crackers is what you're talking about!

We leave Thursday night and arrive Friday morning.

12 crackers? I think I am missing something here!:confused3
I was too, but she's talking about the Christmas crackers.

$1.85???? Geeze, I guess they are expensive here in the US - we paid $18.00 for a box of 10 and didn't think that was bad! :faint:
Do you have World Market there? They're around $10-$12 during the holidays there. :thumbsup2

*******************************************************
Well, I am making a dent in the laundry. I also cleaned the entire downstairs, hoovered and dusted. All I have to do is clean upstairs and finish packing, which I can't do until I finish shopping. :headache:

Making chicken tacos for dinner! Yum!

12 crackers? I think I am missing something here!:confused3
:rotfl2: Over Christmas we were talking about Christmas crackers, they're traditional here in the UK and are made from card, you pull them and they have a paper hat, joke and small gift inside :thumbsup2

$1.85???? Geeze, I guess they are expensive here in the US - we paid $18.00 for a box of 10 and didn't think that was bad! :faint:
They vary in price hugely here, you can pay anything from £5 for 6 to £100 for 6 :faint: Those are from Harrods though and have solid silver gifts :rotfl2: Mine were reduced from £10 to £1.25 :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you posted this I just got that email from Amazon, hope it all works properly now :goodvibes

D is home and we're now waiting for the snow :rotfl2:

UGH lost everything I just typed

Angela - definately meeting up with you, thinking of a Le Cellier ADR, interested. We'll talk more as it gets closer

V - the 11th it is, or I may have to stalk you;)

T - I love DL, I sooo wish I visited more. Thermals:lmao::lmao::lmao: love my Southern Cali Focker:lovestruc

CE - is that the new Fockermobile, you could pick us all up for a road trip to the motherland. I am partial to red, can't recommend Forest Green considering what my car looks like now.:sad2:

Janet - I found it was cheaper with the triple bundle from Verizon too. I only had cable and internet with comcrap, oops comcast. Also I added more movie channels and it's still cheaper.

********************************

So driving to work the check light indicator goes off, one of the headlights is out. I have learned that I have to go to Volkswagen to get the bulb replaced. PITA. So I call the one nearest dealer to work and head over at 11, the whole casing needs to be replaced, etc. At least it's under warranty, but they have to order the parts. So now I have to wait and can't drive my car at night until it's fixed. PITA.

My feet are not good, still getting those nerve flushes originally, we were going to do 3-5, last night was #7:scared1: And I needed new orthotics, I was having terrible leg pain and it was because my orthotics. I just know I am facing another surgery in 2010...

Stay warm my friends...

I can't see the photo?!?!?

I borrowed it from someone else on photobucket, sorry! You could probably google Taurus X. ;)

David isn't working as he only had 1 lesson booked in so moved them, it's silly to drive all that way for 1 person especially if it's dangerous!

::yes::

I love looking at cars and deciding what I want and all - but hate the stress of "what can we afford vs. what we really want vs. what we'd like but isn't a need" and loans and prices, etc. ;) But I am getting a little excited. My van was pretty top of the line in 2002, and it's been fine, but now with 125K miles and no AC and bald tires, well, it's not worth keeping around. :rotfl2:

I quickly uninstalled the Amazon downloader and won't be taking advantage of the free music, but my iTunes was still corrupted. :headache:

That stinks. :hug:

Thanks, CE. :goodvibes I think I'll trying a few stores before hitting up Amazon.

Just let me know if you want to use me for cheap shipping. ;) :rotfl:

Making chicken tacos for dinner! Yum!

Indeed! :goodvibes

D is home and we're now waiting for the snow :rotfl2:

Good luck! :lmao:

CE - is that the new Fockermobile, you could pick us all up for a road trip to the motherland. I am partial to red, can't recommend Forest Green considering what my car looks like now.:sad2:

No decision yet, but I'm guessing we'll pick one tomorrow, unless they both look a lot more "used" than their mileage suggests. :thumbsup2

So now I have to wait and can't drive my car at night until it's fixed. PITA.

I'd say. :hug:

It reached above 0* today! It was 9*! Snow is on the way, so it should warm up. I think it just can't snow when it's well below 0*.... anyone know? I've never seen it.

CE- I have had quite a few friends who had white cars and to be honest... they all hate the color in the winter. Sorry. How much snow do you get there?

Janet- I'm not sure what "rank" ds is in cub scouts. It's year 2 for him. My DH is the den leader and one of the Pack Leaders. I stay out of it. I have way too much on my own plate.

Jo- I work a Gap Kids. I was seasonal and they just asked me to stay on, on a very part time basis. I said Heck Ya! -50% ROCKS! I think I will only work 1-2x a week, maybe even every other week... if that. Back to School and season changes, I'm sure they will need me more. But just a bit is perfect for me... except it's my ploy to get DH to let me book us a WDW vacation. I officially can say that I can pay for 1/3 of the trip. I'm hoping I can say that I can pay for 1/2 by time March rolls around, plus we are doing the Give a Day, get a day volunteering, so that will help too!

V- Can I beg you to come up with Leo? You know my DS would LOVE it... and I would LOVE to see you! Maybe Tink would behave. maybe. ;)

Oh, plenty. We'll see which looks better overall - options and price, and if it's the white, it can't be THAT much worse than my silver, which looks awful, too. ;)

*****************************************
I'm going to bed. I took a bath and stuff whilst D did some work, so I don't have to shower in the morning before we head out. :thumbsup2 I think we want to leave as early as we can, since it's kind of a drive and of course we have to be home for the bus. :thumbsup2

No silly one box of 12 :rotfl2: When exactly do you leave?

If they missed our chat about crackers :rotfl2:They must think we are "crackers":rotfl2: They are much more expensive here !!!!:scared1:
The girls are praying for a snow day :worship::worship: We have hadabout 2 feet of snow the last few days ad no let upin sight !!:eek:

:thumbsup2

::yes:::eek:

12 crackers? I think I am missing something here!:confused3

Pizza sounds yummy. I wouldhave cancelled one person too!:thumbsup2

Crakers are an English Tradition !!! They are not edible unless you have pica !!:rotfl2:

I bought 2 Disney T shirts online !! They are long sleeved , I only have regular T shirts so this is a treat !! I really didn't need much !!:rolleyes1

School is shut :yay: About 2 miles away the road is actually closed due to snow so I had decided I wasn't sending them out in a doubledecker bus anyway :) We only have about 2 inches here but need to go for a walk to find more :rotfl: It's forecast to snow loads more today too :thumbsup2

Well, so long as you're happy... ;) I think if we didn't have to make up the days, I wouldn't mind so much, either.

***************************************************
Kids are off to school, D just got back with the dog, and wants to shower - and then we'll go look at those cars. :thumbsup2

See you later! :wave2:

:hug: Is that hereditary or did you injure yourself?

Jo- I work a Gap Kids.
That's a great deal! Yea for a trip too! :cool1:
It's forecast to snow loads more today too :thumbsup2
I'm glad you're glad! :rotfl:

and then we'll go look at those cars. :thumbsup2
I hope you find something. Cars are so expensive and there's nothing I really like, so the thought of spending that much money is no fun. Thankfully both our cars are paid off, and now they will break. ;)

Mitch and I are running errands this morning and then trying to figure out Tricare. Anyone know anything about it? :goodvibes

It's been SO nice not to have car payments - not looking forward to that. But I do need a new something, and I'm pleased to move away from a minivan. It's just me - NO anyone who has one, but I just never wanted one, but needed it - and think we can lose it now, after 6 years. :thumbsup2

Mitch and I are running errands this morning and then trying to figure out Tricare. Anyone know anything about it? :goodvibes

If that's military stuff, I have two really good friends (Dr. Belle's sister and SIL) who'd be happy to answer any questions. Their DH's are career army. :thumbsup2

V- Can I beg you to come up with Leo? You know my DS would LOVE it... and I would LOVE to see you! Maybe Tink would behave. maybe. ;)
We would love to see you guys again... but that temp's gonna have to get above 30, lol! ;)

Thanks. I'm sure that nothing can survive a winter looking good, but the visibility thing is something I'd not thought of. ;) Sadly, the white one is more appealing to me, overall.
Just pop a brightly-colored Mickey antenna topper on there and you'll find her! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UGH, still sick and trying to work. It's not really going well. :headache:
And for all those who scoffed about our deep freeze down here... the weather gal this morning mentioned the S-word - that's right SNOW!!! :faint: We may see some sleet and/or flurries this weekend. Un-believable.
Ooh... we have a brand new REI here. I'll have to check it out today.
Did you find anything?
:rotfl2: Over Christmas we were talking about Christmas crackers, they're traditional here in the UK and are made from card, you pull them and they have a paper hat, joke and small gift inside :thumbsup2
Gotcha:thumbsup2
Janet - I found it was cheaper with the triple bundle from Verizon too. I only had cable and internet with comcrap, oops comcast. Also I added more movie channels and it's still cheaper.
The only thing we won't get is the Comcast Sport Channel, which means no home Phillies games, but hey we'll teach jimmy early and take him to the bar:rotfl2:
. So now I have to wait and can't drive my car at night until it's fixed. PITA.
If it is not one thing it's another:sad2::hug:
Jimmy is a Tiger Scout. I pretty much stay out of it, unless it is something Jim needs an extra pair of eyes for!
Have a good one:goodvibes
We would love to see you guys again... but that temp's gonna have to get above 30, lol! ;)
Wow, that's impressive. My parents won't comeup here unless it is at least 70:lmao:
Just pop a brightly-colored Mickey antenna topper on there and you'll find her! :thumbsup2:rotfl:
That's what i have = A bright orange Tigger one:rotfl:
Oh no, feel better!
And for all those who scoffed about our deep freeze down here... the weather gal this morning mentioned the S-word - that's right SNOW!!! :faint: We may see some sleet and/or flurries this weekend. Un-believable.
:scared1: I better call and check on the parents!
+++++++++++++++
Just popping in to say hi. Was up late last night playing with the new cell phone. If I had your cell phone number I texted you with the new number. If you didn't get it let me know. I will be emailing everybody too!
Need to sttart working. Have a great day everyone!:goodvibes
CE- I hate car payments too! Hopefully you can find what you like, with the smallest payments possible. I agree with V about the antenna topper. That was funny!
Jo- Yea for NO SCHOOL! I just wish we could stay home for a few inches or below 0 temps. No FAIR! ;) Did you go Sledging?
V- Are you taking anything for your sickness? It's no fun being sick! Btw- It's going to warm up there before spring, it HAS TO! :thumbsup2
Angela- Good luck on the errands. When exactly is Mitch leaving and does he know how long?
Janet- Did you get a fancy new phone? Do you like it?
-------------------------------------------
It's -5 this am, but worst is that there is NO SUN! I need the sun to survive. I'm getting the seasonal blues. pooo pooo!
DH took the kids to school for me and I'm going to try to take a little AM nap. DH's alarm woke me up at 5. I think he didn't set it correctly with his phone (it's a synching kind). Darn me for getting him a new alarm for Christmas. :headache:
The kids have a dermatologist appt this afternoon. We are still trying to get rid of those darn Mollescum (sp?) things.
Oh---sorry to hear about your feet. My mom has another foot surgery scheduled in Feb--she will be outta work for 2 months with up to a year of limited use. And this one is mainly to repair the failed surgery from 2 years ago. I feel sorry for her.
+++++++++++
CE---I don't see a car pic??? What kind is it?
+++++++++++
Sorry I have been MIA on the Focker thread---someone here got me addicted to FB......then Farmville....then Cafe World........:rolleyes:
Another snow day here---BA is still in bed (and it's 11 am for those not in my time zone!). Ab is ticked that she can't drive and now hates snow! (I think that's where you officially leave childhood behind--when snow becomes annoying!)
Goats are unhappy---they are huddled in a giant goat lump to stay warm.
