Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Same here, it feels more like chatting here :goodvibes

::yes::

Stay warm and use lots of hand cream

At this rate I will own the hand cream company:rotfl2:

Another day of nothing here, well I did the supermarket shop (why do people go so mad buying food ) chatted with a friend, ironed and dusted but I need to get out on the golf course :rotfl2: We've cancelled our match for tomorrow but D has just said they're 1 short for his works Christmas golf comp tomorrow so I'm playing in that instead. We're due more snow so we'll see but at least I'll get out as I've run out of things to do well except cleaning the oven, tidying cupboards etc etc :rotfl2:

Sounds like a busy and productive day.

How'd the golf go?

Afternoon.

Here's the trip pics if anyone's interested!

I am seriously behind on my shopping/christmas stuff in general. There has just been no time. I really need to set up a plan for the next weeks to get it together. The trip was great but at a bad time in terms of planning.

Anywho, I need to make today count since I have work/things going on for the next like week!

TTFN!

Looks like you guys had a great time!:thumbsup2

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=

Hey all! Crazy busy at work and then working at Macy's until Midnight. Long day, but the paychecks have been worth it, we have been really been able to put a dent into some bills and NOT use the credit cards for Christmas!:woohoo:

Still have to pick up some gift cards, but shopping is pretty much done. Stopping at Kohls on the way between this job and the 2nd job. They have a prjector that you can hook up to your computer, TV, DVD, player etc. We use one like it when we do movie night in the summer, but we usually borrow the one from Jim's school. But with the sale they are having, I have $30 in Kohls cash, and a 20% off coupon It is going to cost us next to nothing, and this way we have our own:thumbsup2 Going to look for some sweatpants for Jimmy while I am there too.

I also got a hopping list from my mother inlaw for Macy's:lmao:

Hope you all have a great weekend!:goodvibes

Fantastic :thumbsup2

Well golf was pretty cold, we had a very heavy frost today but we still played, even though my toes nearly froze :rotfl2: First we had a short competition followed by a big fry-up then it was back out for the main comp. Well it started snowing and after 7 holes we couldn't hardly see so we walked in, the roads were already nasty so we headed safely home. The girls however weren't so lucky, they didn't get home till 6.15pm instead of 4.30pm  but they got here safe so I suppose I should be grateful!!!! Remember when I used to say I loved snow? Well not anymore :rotfl2: Oh and the rabbits didn't like it either as they're no longer with us, I have horrid kids though as when we told them Jess cheered :rotfl2:

It's Friday!
And I'm working.:headache: I get to work all weekend too!:sad2:

Thanks for all the replies to my little tirade. :grouphug:

Mel - Thanks for the card. You have a beautiful family. I, like CE feel bad because I had no time to send out cards this year.

JANET had lots of work on her desk to clear through. Jimmy got all A's at school. She is getting some awesome deals at Macy's.

Way to go Jimmy! My good friend used to work at Macy's. She did the same thing with all her discounts and the coupons.

JO is ready for X-mas. She got a food basket that she had won in the mail the other day. Lots of snow.

I think that food sounded good. I bet your area looks just like Indiana right now. We've been in the single digits also. In Farenheit, that's cold.

CE has been busy. She got to be lead teacher the other day. D is back from Ireland.

Your teaching day sounded like fun. It's nice to have lots of help.

LESSA had some fun at the border the other day. She must look like a 'bad' Canadian. She had 1 exam left to do before X-mas.

I hope you did well with your classes. Too funny about the 'trafficking' incident.

TAZ's knee is doing well. She is not feeling so fuzzy now. She wants to bake but doesn't want to temp her hubby with the sugar. She got her shopping done. She is still pursueing the purse thieves.

I'm glad to know your doing better. I love to bake too. But the problem is that I eat it. I love to cook in general but don't have the time.

TE has her tree up. She registered for her 1st class to get her masters. She thinks that her Farmville time will suffer. Abby had a blood clot in her leg which is quite serious. She is on Coumadin

I'm sorry to hear about Abby. She is so young to have to worry about things like that. Good luck with your classes.

T has had a 'nutso' schedule of kids, school, scouts and X-mas! Both kids are getting awards. Waldo is doing very good.

Things are crazy for all of us right now. Congrats to the kids. Good for Waldo!

DAWN has been busy with X-mas and dancing.

Sounds like you are having a lot of fun anyway!

ROSIE says her hours may get cut. Someone who was gone due to medical is returning. She posted pictures from work on #2776.

The tree, food and you look great! I'm sorry about the hour cut if it happens. What will you do with any free time???? ;)

V says all is well but she is very busy too. Her classes for the quarter are wrapping up. There was a lottery at the charter school that she wants to put Leo in.

I hope you got picked for the school. Have fun on your X-mas vacation.

KAT is back from New Orleans. She has a link to her photos at #2779. Now she is super-happy about getting back to the daily grind!!!!!:rotfl:

Loved the pictures. You guys look great! That room was wild.

________________________________________________________________

I worked last night and tonight on OT. My regular shift is Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Then I'm free until Jan 1!

Monday will be seriously crazy. We met, finally, with the radiation dr. She thinks we should start the daily doses after X-mas. So Monday we go to the clinic to get his mask done. It leaves just a small area open for the radiation and protects the rest of his face and head. Then right after that we go to get a CT scan so they can locate just where they want to apply the radiation. We also need to get his blood drawn for his anti-seizure medication levels. So I won't get much sleep on Monday.

He had a seizure about 4 days ago in his leg. He can't drive or walk very well. His speech is being affected by the new tumor growth too. They are switching him to a new anti-seizure drug plus added a BP med. He has been dizzy when he sits. Bathroom problems too. He is a mess on a good day.

And his emotional state has been very bad. Cries at the drop of a hat, thinking about death all the time and nightmares. So I called his primary dr. and he is now on a low dose of generic Prozac to boot!

I'm hoping that as soon as we start the radiation things will improve. We haven't heard whether he will be getting chemo. at the same time or after.

As for me, I'm fat but fine. Fine as in OK, not yummy-boudy-licious or anything. I have my days of, 'I'm losing my mind.' On the 22nd I'm meeting with some of the other girls I work with at a good Chinese place. It will be 'me' time. One of the girls has invited us to go to her place after for wine and dessert. I may take Doogles to that part of it if he wants to go.

I will be moving the computer upstairs during my X-mas break. One of his friends is going to help me get the desk up. It is old and weighs a ton.

That's all for now.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi to everyone, I read along just don't have much to say.

Kristel, I am so sorry for all the issues that Doogles is dealing with. I can't imagine what his going on through his mind and yours, just know I am here for you if you ever need to vent or just talk. It is very hard taking care of someone with cancer, don't forget to take care of yourself .

Yikes, I thought it must have been at work too :rotfl2:

Well the snow came down heavy again, David was trying to get home from work and the 3 lane motorway/freeway was down to 1 lane when some prat decided to go down the snowy lane, spun out of control infront of D, D clipped him as he spun past and the guy ended up the wrong way round on the other side of D  No one was hurt and amazingly our car doesn't seem to have any damage at all, the other guys car had the passenger door all smashed in where D hit it. The other guy got out and said haha I hate snow  Luckily D's friend/colleague was in the car behind and he stopped as a witness. We haven't been able to get hold of the insurance company as they are poorly staffed due to snow :rotfl: Obviously we don't need to claim but if the prat decides to blame D then it'll be a hassle :sad2:

We're now praying that we'll be able to go on holiday on Monday!!!!

And we've STILL had no snow...:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Just read and caught up, but don't have a lot of time to quote. to Kristel and hope everyone else is doing OK.

I worked Thursday at the upper elementary (5th-6th) as an aide, then volunteered yesterday in Woody's class for craft making. D & I went on a marathon amazon.com spree, but really are nearly done now. I still need to work on my parents some, but as they're coming around the 27th, I don't need to mail them, so I'm not as scared. I still also need teacher gifts.

Nothing much going on today, planned, but we are cleaning the house up some. The neighborhood Christmas Eve party is NOT here (we had it last year, 5 houses in rotation, I'm good until 2014 :rotfl2:) but I think we may actually finally get to host a holiday with our "holiday friends" (John & Deb) because they don't have family in and the other couple has officially moved to Colorado.

But, I'm hoping to work 3 out of the 4 school days this coming week, so I need to get somewhat ready now. ;)

The boys have this week's town rec basketball game tomorrow. So, I either need to probably do some running around today or after that. I got the cards done, but ran out of stamps with about 20 to go, and I bet the post office is closed now. :headache: D'oh.

Looks like D will be home next week, for the most part, too - which definitely helps. One or the other of us can therefore run out alone with relative ease. :thumbsup2

It really is bad here :sad2:

I feel for you. Remember I am the one who had 60 inches of snow in a week and half period last year:eek:

What kind? Have fun :goodvibes

Chocolate Chip, SUgar Cookies, and Peantut Butter. Not from scratch. We used Pillbury Refrigerated Cookie Dough:thumbsup2

Oh no! Glad the car wasn't damaged and more importatnly that David wasn't hurt!

We're now praying that we'll be able to go on holiday on Monday!!!!

Where are you going? Were you able to get out?

And we've STILL had no snow.

They are calling for a possible white CHristmas here:headache:

Hey all. Ugh! No internet at home all weekend:headache: Called verizon it was an outside line problem and they were coming out today to fix it! The knocked 3 days off our bill and forwarded all calls from the home phone to Jim's cell phone. (Yeah, the house phone and internet are both through verizon).

I worked Saturday until 8:00 and then ran to walmart to pick up a gift card. Of course I couldn't just get the gift cards:rolleyes1 I got Jim a pair of jeans, JImmy a couple of pairs of sweatpants and a couple of shirts and the Phineus and Fern Christmas DVD.

Yesterday I worked 6:45 - 11:00am, then we cam home and baked cookies.

Last night I finished the wrapping:woohoo:

Today Dad comes home. His flight lands at 2:23pm. He is staying with my Aunt again, so I am going to head over there after work for a bit. Then will head home and sllllleeeeeppppp!

Hope you are all having a great day and Jo, I hope you were able to leave on holiday:hug:

Good Morning Everyone! :goodvibes

You all sound so busy! I read, but didn't quote...let's see what I remember....

Kristel - I'm so sorry you and Doug are going through this. You have friends here and feel free to vent any time you feel the need. We're all here for you! Sending lots of good thoughts your way.

Janet - Sounds like you're crazy busy. Are you staying with Macy's after the holiday?

CE - LOL @ Amazon spree. I did the same thing yesterday when I realized I hadn't bought Andy anything. Oops.

Rosie - the Christmas party looked fun. Love your gifts! Yep, they know you're a Disney girl!

Jo - Hope you got out ok! Bummer about the car, but at least no one was hurt.

Sorry if I missed anyone! :goodvibes

Well, I'm glad last week is OVER! It was crazy! Friday I was in Maddie's classroom practically all day. We met her new teacher - I like her a lot, so that's good. I was soooo irrated with parents, though. We really wanted to do a big party for the kids, with all the drama they've gone through. So we designed a menu and let the kids sign up for things to bring. I sent a letter home telling parents what their kids signed up for and would you believe I had parents reply "NO!". I was freakin' floored. And PISSED. I ended up running to Target on Monday picking up where others left off. Freakin' cheapskates.

Evan decided on Saturday to start with the flu and got all barfy. Then on Sunday Maddie started. :headache::headache: They're both better today, but missed their dental appointments this morning.

Yesterday I baked in the morning and then my SIL came over and we made tamales.

We've had non-stop rain since Friday! It's supposed to last until Thursday! Last weekend we had 80* weather!:sad2:

Anyway, it was nice to read everyone's updates!

TTL!:hippie:

That's great! I heard they would still be hiring after the New Year, so if that's true, I may look into it. 20 hours/weekly would be nice for me.

I remembered LAST NIGHT!! :lmao: Thank god for Amazon prime! All my stuff shipped today.

Funny, I was thinking last night, after reading V's comment on FB - how I could make tamales in our DVC villa next year. The only hard part would be finding the masa. Everything else I could ship. :scratchin:

Party at T's Villa:woohoo:

Finished my last exam today! I don't have class again until Jan 10th! So far I have gotten two marks back, both A's! Just waiting for this last class that I wrote the exam for today, I feel pretty confident about it.

So now I switch from full-time school/part-time to full-time work! No vacation for me until May!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
UGH!!! I'm having serious cabin fever, here! It's supposed to rain until Thursday. :headache: MUST. GET. OUT. SOON.

Hope it stops soon:hug: When are the kids done for Christmas break?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Jimmy lost his perfect attendance :sad2: He has had this cough for a couple of days and yesterday he started saying his neck hurts (re: throat hurts) which usually means strep:sick: Jim has him at the doctor now.

Oh, I must vent. Last night I headed over to my cousins to see my dad. He is home and doing great:cool1: Anyway Jim call me to tell me about Jimmy's day. Let's just say the bus comapnay better be glad that I have no time to take off from work or I'd be there and heads would be rolling. After school yesterday he gets on the bus and fell asleep (another indication that he is not feeling well) When the bus got to the after school program the kids got off the bus (There are 15-16 kids that go to this after school program). Lynn, the after school teacher did a head count and said where is Jimmy? Jimmy was STILL asleep on the bus and the bus left. Luckily Lynn had the phone with he and called the school right away who radioed the bus and had it turn around and take him back to the after school program. Now, I could understand if this was a big bu with alot of kids, etc...but the after school program is the LAST stop and Jimmy is assigned to the FRONT seat, Don't you think that the bus driver should have noticed:mad::mad::mad: Needless to say I was NOT happy!

Anyway...he had no ill effects from it.

Dad is going to my neices Christmas concert tonight so I am going home after work and just chillin and hopefully getting to bed EARLY.

Thank you for the Christma Cards:hug:. I still feel like a slug that I didn't send anything year, but I just completely ran out of time.

Chat later:flower3:

I am not even going to try and catch up with all of the posts. My computer and I were not playing nice together over the weekend.

A couple from memory:

Krystle vent away. Taking care of a loved one who is seriously ill takes a toll. I know from experience. Take time for yourself even if it's to go out for a couple of coffee.

Janet - glad your dad is home for a visit

Rosie - great pics

Jo - I saw a report on all of the snow over there. I sympathize. We were socked last year, I never thought I would find my front lawn again and my outside decorations were up until March. They were frozen to the ground. :lmao:

Lessa - good work. My daughter is taking classes to get ready to apply to nursig school. It's a lot of work but worth it. Just learn how to put an IV in on ONE try. I had a huge bruise from the person who did mine and then they had to switch hands. She went through the vein. :scared1:

+++++++++++++++=
I have one gift left to get and just a couple to wrap. I need Jim to get the last gift as it is a case of beer for my brother, from another brother. I do the shopping. It works out great for me because I get to keep whatever I don't spend as a finders fee. This year it amounted to around $100.:yay:

I saw the dr on friday and had my stitches out. Unfortunately it is going to take 3 months for my knee to heal completely. :scared1: It was a really bad tear and I have a good deal of arthritis in the knee. I am getting around better though.

Took the kids to see "Santa" at church the other day. Only 2 caught on that Santa was Big Pop but they all knew Mrs. Clause was my mom. I will have to post a pic as soon as I upload them. I had all SIX grandkids together. I then went to see the mall Santa with my son and got into an argument with the photo people there. I took a couple of pics, with no flash outside of the area. They told me I wasn't allowed. The paper said to please REFRAIN inside the santa confines. I was n't in the santa confines. Then they tried the your flash is interfering with our flash. Um right, I'm not using flash. I walked away but told them that they took lousy pics anyway and wouldn't waste my money. Of course I had my least expensive camera with me and none of the pics turned out. :rotfl2: I had fun though.

In a spot of really good news my son may be leaving his job as a correctional officer and joining his dad at the sheriffs department. They are bringing 15 people down. He doesn't quite meet all the requirements but he has a powerful "rabbi" in the sheriffs department working on it. It will mean more stable hours and slightly better money.

I am going to be a baking fool for the next couple of days. I do all my baking from scratch and need to get quite a few batches done.

Have a great afternoon everyone.
