Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hi everyone.

We got new furbabies!!!!!

We went to a comedy show in Brooklyn on mon night and were early, so we walked past a cat's only clinic and there they were in the window with an "adopt us" sign on their cage! We instantly knew we wanted them and went back the next morning and took them home!

They are twin brothers. They do everything together and I do mean EVERYTHING. They are the sweetest tho, very loving and fun.

Here's the facebook album if you wanna see pics! I posted some videos too.
Moss & Miso .

Hope everyone's doing good!

They are adorable Kat !!! How old are they!!!

I'm heading to Vanderbilt tomorrow for my ear surgery--so you all think about me! I'll try to post how I am---supposed to be dizzy for a few days if I move my head so may not get to do much. We're staying at a hotel near the hospital for 2 nites since it's a 6 hour drive.....kinda nervous.....

Good thoughts headed south:goodvibes

I've worked all week to get her schedule straight----tip of the day---KNOW what requirements are needed for graduation and what is needed at the the college they are applying to..........cause the guidance "counselor" knows NOTHING! :mad: I've fought the whole week to get Ab's classes right....and then had to fight again cause she wanted to take an online AP European History class and they wouldn't order her the book.:mad:

But after I ordered one on Amazon today....the asst principal called and said they had "found" a book at the school after all. 3 days after the class started.

Ugh! What pain in the butt! ARe you going to be able to return the one you ordered?

Colonial Williamsburg

Today we had another 7:00am wakeup call. We were meeting Denise and the kids for breakfast at 8:00. WE all woke up bright eyed and not so bushy tailed. We were tired. We got dressed, had breakfast and all piled into the van and headed over to the visitors center so we could catch the bus to the historical area.

Our first stop was the brickyard where we learned how they made bricks in the 1700's. The method is still used today by the craftsmen in WIlliamsburg and the brincks are used for repairs, etc. It is a real working brick yard. After the girl explained the process to us the kids were allowed to help. Jimmy didn't want to (you will se why in the picture) but MAtt and Rose did!

That is a pit is clay and water:scared1:

From there we headed to the Powell House where the kids participated in The Mother Goose Riddles and Rhymes Tour. It was a cute tour for the kids. It gave the kids a history of some nursery rhymes and their meanings. No, I don't remember what they are:rotfl:

After this tour we took the Children's Orientation Walk, which gave the kids an idea of what they could do, etc.

From the orientation walk, I don't really remember what we did in what order, so here are the pictures :-)

THe Historic Area Exhibits close at 5:00pm so after that we we took the bus to merchants square and did some shopping. Now, I know that most of the stuff that you purchase there goes to the continued restoration of Colonial Williamsburg but let me tell you that they have NOTHING on Disney. THe only thing Jimmy wanted was that Minute Man Hat----$30:scared1: We got a few things and then headed back on the bus to the visitors center.

Everyone was tired so we found a McDonald's went through the drive through. THe plan was to go back to our respective rooms, eat, and then meet up at the pool. Once we got back to the room and relaxed we decided we didn';t want to get changed and swim. So we all got baths/showers and just watched tv and chilled out. That was a good thing because we had another early wake up call for tomorrow.

Next stop Busch Garden's Williamsburg.

Great, now that all the good sales are over.
Exactly. Fortunately, I'd stocked up last year with stuff he wound up not needing, too, and some of it happened to be what he needs this year, lol! The 4 unnecessary composition books I'll use for school myself. :thumbsup2 Just need to buy antibac gel, soap and wipes.
SO...I have an ear infection.
Ugh, the WORST! Hope it's starting to feel better! :hug:

Colonial Williamsburg
I've always wanted to go there! This looks so fun.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning! School's still going well for Leo - hooray!
I need to book a hotel for the Grand Canyon for next June - rooms are going fast! :eek: Problem is, I'm indecisive and I can't determine which nights we need until I figure the rest of the trip out. I do know now that we'll drive and won't venture north of AZ, but that's about it.
Applied for financial aid and got a whopping $123 in Pell Grants. :rolleyes: Oh well, it covers books! And applying for a small student loan is funny; they want personal references, but no job/income information. They should really have an alternate system for adult learners. :rolleyes:
Well, that's good!
It does thanks! He gave me ear drops that are steroids and an antibiotic.
WE really did have a good time and I am so happy that Jimmy loved it as much as we did...despite the lack of smile in the pictures:lmao:
ALl of them or just one:headache:
Government = Making Sense....come on you know better than that;)
Morning all. The ear is feeling much better today:thumbsup2 Sending good vibes out to TE:goodvibes
I have an 11:15 appointment and Jim has an 11:30 appointment with a deifferent doctor obviously:lmao:, but they are in the same building so we will just go together.
Afterwards we are heading out to get the rest of Jimmy's birthday present. Did I tell you we got him a camera. It's better than Jim's....he's a bit jealous. We want to get him a case for it and then we are going to pick up some Pokemon or Backugan's for him. Then we will come home and generally straighten and clean.
Tonight we are headed to Jim's school for the new student BB!, at least that is the plan. If Jimmy is too wiped from camp I may just send Jim and stay home with Jimmy.
Have a good day:goodvibes
TE, many good thoughts winging their way down south this morning. :hug:
Janet, sorry about the ear infection!
V, glad Leo's still enjoying school. Sorry about the financial aid. :hug:
Jo, exciting for the girls! Sorry about the rain - it rained from Sunday to yesterday here, but today is finally nice.
Kat, saw the kitties on FB. Adorable! :)
Regarding school supplies - we get a list on the last day of school (so, yeah, keeping track of that is fun... :rolleyes:) However, our parent-teacher group now offers pre-packaged supplies, customized to each grade, for $10. They will be sitting on the desk on the first day - I happen to know that they actually came in Monday. :thumbsup2 I went that way, but I do know we'll wind up with another list as soon as they hit school. Last year is was things like decks of cards for math games, etc.
*****
We were thinking of heading to the lake today, but last night the forecast was saying that it was going to be super windy. This morning, the forecast has changed, but now we're feeling like it's late to go. :confused3 Tomorrow's sunny, but pretty cool. The weekend looks great, though. :thumbsup2
One week from today, the kids will be at school! :worship: :rotfl:
I played tennis yesterday morning, then came back to play Monopoly with the boys for hours, until D & I played some tennis in the afternoon. The boys swam. We had dinner at the club - it was a really nice rainy day!
D's just found out that he'll be gone more or less all of September. He has training starting on Labor Day for a week (it's in Montreal, so it's not a holiday there... ;)) and is home for three days before he goes on a 2 week European trip that won't get back until 10/1. It still includes Venice, but goes on from there. Guess I'm getting my alone time soon. :rolleyes: I know I complained about having too many people around, but couldn't there be a happy medium? :rotfl2: It's karma for my complaints, I guess. :rotfl:
Well, gotta figure out the day, here. Depending on what we do, I may be back. Have a great one, everyone! :grouphug:
They are 3 months old! :)
They really should! KC couldn't get financial aid because his dad made too much even tho he wasn't living at home at the time but was too young to claim on his own, crazy.
Janet- How did the Dr. go???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's just me & the babes today. already I am tired just watching them. They have so much energy. But they are adapting to us just fine, although they sleep under the couch which KC hates. Today i will introduce them to the vacuum which aught to be good for some laughs.

Other than that just getting things together around here, I have a couple of applications to bring back this afternoon, in the neighborhood. Gonna make a trip to the pet store and get some goodies for the boys and make some homemade mushroom mac & cheese for dinner. And hopefully squeeze in an hour at the gym as well.

Have a happy Thursday!

SO...I have an ear infection. SInce we have been home my ear has been bothering me, but I would take an aleve and it would be fine. I figured after 6 days though I should probably go to the doctor:rolleyes1 He gave me drops for that.
Glad it's getting better!

It does make me laugh about the antibac stuff, you guys would die here :rotfl:

Wow that's a long time :eek: :rotfl2:

And hopefully squeeze in an hour at the gym as well.
How's it going?

Janet, feel better. :hug:
Kat, so so cute! :goodvibes
Hi, everyone! :flower3:

My BIL got a call Sunday that his team had 2 weeks to get lots of work together for some big project, so I've been at my sister's all week helping her with the boys. One day Reid didn't nap at school but did yesterday. What a different child. ;)

I bet! :rotfl:

Not me - I HATE that carp! I keep it around to use at WDW if we can't get to a sink easily, but at home I use regular soap, and a natural antibacterial spray on kitchen counters only if there's been raw meat or eggs. The schools use it EVERYWHERE, so we all have to send it in. :headache:

Isn't it always the way?! :hug:

Where did everyone go? :confused3 :goodvibes

CE, I just finished Andre Agassi's autobiography Open. Interesting read if you haven't read it yet. :thumbsup2

FYI, tattoo's hurt more than waxing. ;)

I think it makes you more prone to illness as you don't build up immunity!

I have hidden them!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: I haven;t enjoyed a peardrop in sooo long !! It is the silliest things we can miss !!So many things can be found here but never seen peardrops !!!
Good idea :rotfl2:

FYI, tattoo's hurt more than waxing. ;)
Well that does it, I'm definitely not getting a tattoo :rotfl2:

Golf was rained off today :sad1: I did get stuff ready for the plumber tomorrow though so that was good, I also got my Pimm's cool bag that I'd won. I expected a large bag with maybe some bits in such as a bottle of Pimm's but it's piddly, only big enough to put some sarnies in :rotfl2:

David and I went to see Grown-ups today, it was very funny but I was a bit taken back by the people in the cinema. It's a 12A which means under 12's need to be accompanied by an adult and personally I never take the girls as I feel it's too rude/violent etc. Anyway there was a baby in a car seat in there, a toddler and quite a few under 8's :eek: There were lots of rude words and well I'm turning into an old fart :rotfl2: Anyway we enjoyed it then had a nice meal afterwards :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: So you did both?! Will you think of this as the Summer of Pain? ;)

Add a few other things and yes. :lmao: But I'm glad I did both. :thumbsup2

Well that does it, I'm definitely not getting a tattoo :rotfl2:
But it's a quick pain. :rotfl:

That's also rude for the other theater goers. :rolleyes:

It's raining again, so I've just been reading this afternoon which has been nice. I was going to the Y, but the esthetician told me not to sweat today. Ok. :thumbsup2
