Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Have fun and be lucky, maybe you need to stand under some birds too :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Um. I'll pass thanks:lmao:

D and I went to practise putting and take some photos for his website today, well just as I sink a long putt this guy (who I've seen loads of times) says looks like you 2 are practising for the golfer and non-golfer on Saturday. I was confused and said what you think I'm a non-golfer? And he nodde, then I said ummm seeing that I'm off 11 and in the ladies scratch team I don't think they'd allow that. I even said you're such and such's hubbie aren't you well I partnered her last year and he still didn't remember. Cheeky bugger I'm a better golfer than he is :rotfl2: I still can't believe it :rotfl:

Hello Strangers! ;)

:wave2:

.but Daran picked "something else" after the waiter pointed to his stomach.....

Let's see... what has happened the last 6 months...
Got a puppy.
Went back to work full-time
Got a new manager who was great!
He tried to get me a big promotion
But then he left
so no promotion for me
New manager starts in a week
Finished the school year with all the kids making A's.
Finished watching Lost
Had a few birthday parties
Did some minor home remodeling
Took an impromptu trip to the beach without any ressies or planning
Enjoyed being lazy this weekend and NOT looking forward to going back tomorrow

Nah, you haven't been busy at all:rolleyes1

Quick one as it's very late and I have to get up and go in the morning. Great weekend at Deb's new lake house, lots of fun and nearly decided to stay again tonight, but drove home late because I have an appointment at 9:00 tomorrow morning to get new tires before driving 2000+ miles in the next 10 days.

Glad you had fun:thumbsup2

Janet, yes, this will be the reunion trip. ::yes:: Reunion's on Saturday. I would leave sooner except that I have two tennis matches this week. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Have fun at the casino!

Sounds like fun!:goodvibes

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Good morning. Just a quick check in from me. Will be leaving shortly to meet my mom and cousin at the casino. It is hot as heck here. Going up to 100 and the rest of the week is going to be the same:sick: I go back to work tomorrow:sad2:

Yesterday mom and ada came over and we just hung out. It was too hot to do anything. We just hung out,, which was nice.

I'm off. Chat with you all later:goodvibes

I agreeThat CONSUMER is an awful name for these wonderful people !! Other agencies call them people or individuals as WHO WE SERVE!!! I like that better !!! So will try to refer to them as PEOPLE from now on!!:cloud9::hug:

Morning all. I have been away for a few days so I'm not even going to try aqnd respond to all of the posts. I did have a few chuckles at some of them though.

I went to my brother's on saturday for the cookout. Can I say it was the longest 3 hours of my life. They invited all of the kids too. First they were disappointed that the oldest wasn't there. He is one of the 2 favorites. They have no kids but do have a dog. Of course the kids wanted to play with the dog. She got exiled. They made smores. The baby is 19 months now so still not the neatest eater. She dropped some chocolate. My SIL ran into the house to google chocolate poisoning in dogs, yep the big hairy beast ate a piece of chocolate. Maybe the size of the opening of a straw. My SIL sat n the house crying because the dog was going to drop dead then and there. :lmao: SIL's family was there and I like her parents but her sister is strange. She never smiles and the sisters DH couldn't keep his hands off of her, no they aren't newlyweds. Needless to say we left as soon as I felt we had stayed long enough to make it look like we weren't there for the food. I also bought a couple of things, they all went home with me. My SIL is a VERY PICKY eater. I don't think we'll be invited back soon. :woohoo:

The 4th was very quiet. Jim worked and then we had some leftovers from my brothers. My daughter brought the kids over and we met my other daughter at the playground. There were about 40 people there to watch the fireworks display the one friend set off. I must say they were really nice. Then my grandson came over my house to sleep until my son picked him up.

Yesterday I expected to be a quiet day at the house. Jim wanted to go to Gettysburg so we went. We had a lot of fun just driving around the auto tour and looking at the battlefields. It was a lovely but HOT day. We have decided to go back again for a weekend so we can explore some more on foot and see some of the town. It won't be until it is cooler out though. It was nice getting out just the 2 of us. We don't get to do that often.

Today it's back to the kids but I still have an easy week. I watch them today and Friday. Tomorrow we go to the shore. I only do day trips but my daughter is down there so we will be able to let the kids play on the beach and then hose them off.

Hope you all have a good day.

Hello Strangers! ;)
Hi Kat  Good to see you again :goodvibes

Daran gets his meal.......it's a giant sausage.....it smells bad.......he gets a big bite...."OH GOD!" That's really bad!!
Yikes, did you ever find out what it actually was???

You sound so sad about that :rotfl:

Another hot sunny day, honestly it's lasted for weeks and shows no sign of stopping! I played golf and was doing really well until I realised I was doing really well and then proceeded to do some really bad shots :sad2: I need to stop my head getting involved :rotfl2:

I don't think we'll be invited back soon.

Good luck :thumbsup2

More below!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Good Morning all! Had a great time with my mom and my cousin at the Casino yesterday. I won $1,000:woohoo::cool1::yay:. Of course, I put some of it back...but I cam home wiht my money plus extra. Always a good thing:thumbsup2 The casino we went to is new (in the last 2 years or so) and it was really nice. In addition, one of the poker machines I was playing jammed when I was trying to cash out, so for my inconvenience they gave me some free food:thumbsup2

Today is back to work for me. It is going to be 101 :faint: Jim is doinf the lawn now, before it gets too hot then he is going to fill up the pool for Jimmy.

I won't see my mom and dad now until Saturday when we have our big family dinner. Then they leave on Sunday:sad2:

Gotta get some work done, my desk looks like a paper factory exploded on it. I am sure I will be checking back in later:hug:

Hey, all...

Reading along again, but no matter what I do, I just am having a hard time keeping up. This summer is feeling just crazy to me. :confused3 I don't know why it's worse than before...

Anyway, got my tires yesterday, then my brows waxed. :lmao: Came home, started laundry, bought paint for the bathroom :cool1::cool1::cool1: and then played tennis. We won!

Too hot to sleep in our room, so D & I slept on the couch near the a/c, but not well, if you KWIM. I'm thinking Dad needs to sleep on the sofa bed in the office tonight, though that's a tough call. Crappy bed, or 82 degree sleeping? :headache: But, it forced me to finish off finally cleaning out the office - the last bits and pieces were still floating around, but no more! :thumbsup2

Picked up Dad at the airport and had lunch, doing more laundry. I think I'm packed, but the last of the kids' stuff is in the dryer so they aren't done. I leave here at 5:00 for the other tennis match - which I'm trying NOT to freak about, as I'm playing singles for the first time ever. :scared:

On the good news side, D is getting ready to prime, so the bathroom is moving along, finally. I hope that since he'll be in the house alone for the next four days, he can finish painting and maybe even get the floor tiled. :thumbsup2

Anyway, my mom has the internet, of course, but the way things have been going so far this summer, I might not be checking in much. I hope you all have a terrific week and :grouphug: to you all.

Hi Jo !!! How did you celebrate July 4th????:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I got pooped on :rotfl2:

I won $1,000:woohoo::cool1::yay:. Of course, I put some of it back...but I cam home wiht my money plus extra.
Wooohooooo!

I won't see my mom and dad now until Saturday when we have our big family dinner. Then they leave on Sunday:sad2:
Already  Wow I thought they were visiting for a long time :confused3 Anyway enjoy :goodvibes

I've had a day of cleaning here, it desperately needed it. I also got an email saying I won my division yesterday and came second overall and even though I played over my handicap I got cut :rotfl2: So I'm now 10.6 :woohoo: So so close to 10 :thumbsup2

I then did a very early dinner and took the girls to golf, I caddied for Ellie and didn't play. They both did well although Ellie will not listen :headache: anyway Jess did very well :thumbsup2

You'll be fine  Safe travels and are the boys going too?

I got pooped on :rotfl2:

Can't TOP that!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Today I was on the war path at work as our grass had not been cut and looked terrible !!I suggested they either get over or buy me a goat !!!:lmao:Lawn is now cut much to staff's amusement at my not giving up till it got done !!!;) Carol heard me and just grinned !!!!:lmao:

It has been another scorcher here !! Judy is buying a 4ft pool off Craigslist hopefully tonight or tomorrow !!!

She got the job pending backgound check and references !!! They will then offer her a package and if it's fairly good she'll take it !! So fingers crossed for a decent offer !!!

Fact: The Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre) in Paris, France, is one of the largest and most famous museums in the world.:snooty:

Fact: Abby said if you spent only 7 seconds on each exhibit, it would take you 3 years to see everything.

Fact: Daran has been known to spend an entire afternoon at the Museum of Middle Appalachia in Saltville, VA.:headache: He reads EVERY line of EVERY thing......we got so worn out with him at the Smithsonian that we left and went shopping!

But NO ONE is gonna say that these here folks from Appalachia don't have no culture!

So off we went!

Something I wish I'd known---The Louvre used to be a palace....and it's really big...and it's in the shape of a U with a big courtyard and a giant pyramid in the middle......and Fodor's guidebook says "you can't miss the giant glass pyramid"......so of course we spend 20 minutes trying to find it.:headache:

ry%3D400

Then...you go in through the pyramid and go down stairs to get tickets.....another ticket machine that won't accept our credit card. :headache:

Then you have to figure out which of 3 buildings to tackle.....

Fodor's said "Go see the BIG 3 right away before the crowds set in"

Number 1: The Mona Lisa!
Mona Lisa in French means "really small painting surrounded by really tall people"

I jumped up and down several times to say that I'd seen it and let Daran snap and picture.:thumbsup2

ry%3D400

Number 2: Winged Victory--note--this is a famous statue that appears to be missing a head. :confused3

ry%3D400

Number 3: Venus de Milo---this had been moved so it took us most of the afternoon to find it...but Daran wasn't leaving until we did...and Beth Ann noted that "at least it's got a head!"

ry%3D400

We then tried to get organized....got the audio tour-guide....and picked the "ancient civilization tour"

Some interesting things we saw....

ry%3D400

At 3 pm (1500 in French time.....9 pm according to my head)....we decided it was shopping time!

Galleries Lafayette::: Here we come!

ry%3D400

Now THIS is a department store! Prada, Gucci, Fendi....and the top floor for supermodel fashion shows! :snooty:
but leave it to me to find the bargains! I found a bargain nook on the 4th floor with jeans for 20 euros and long sleeve shirts for 8 euros....so we bought some cause we're cold! :thumbsup2

Next up: Dinner at Chez Francis!

OMG :rotfl2: It sounds as though you've been very busy and a new puppy? What type?

A black lab.

Hi Jo !!! How did you celebrate July 4th????:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I once heard someone say that England didn't have a July 4th? Really, they don't have it? So their calendar's go from July 3rd to the 5th?

I won $1,000:woohoo::cool1::yay:.

bought paint for the bathroom :cool1::cool1::cool1:
What color?

She got the job pending backgound check and references !!! They will then offer her a package and if it's fairly good she'll take it !! So fingers crossed for a decent offer !!!
Good luck Judy!

Finally saw TS3 tonight. Loved it! i got all tearied eyed at the end when the mom walks into Andy's room before heading off to college. :sad1:

I asked Tau how much he loved me and he said "four"
I asked him how much he loved daddy and he said "three"
So I was happy thinking he loved me the most
until I asked him how much he loved his sister and he said "a hundred"

:sad2:

and then played tennis. We won!

Congrats!:cool1:

Anyway, my mom has the internet, of course, but the way things have been going so far this summer, I might not be checking in much. I hope you all have a terrific week and :grouphug: to you all.

Have a safe and fun trip. Enjoy the reunion!

Already  Wow I thought they were visiting for a long time :confused3 Anyway enjoy :goodvibes

:sad2: nope, just a little over a week.

Good morning! At work:headache: Left the house and Jim and Jimmy were still sleeping. Something is wrong with that picture!

It's another hot day here, but not as hot as yesterday...it's only going up to 93!:woohoo:

Jim and I are going out tonight:woohoo: We are heading to a local drinking establishment for some food and some Quizzo. Should be fun! My neighbors kid is going to babysit for us.

Hope you all have a great day. I will probably be back later:hug:

I played golf at my friends club today, we stopped after 9 as she got quite burnt, it was so hot again!

I'm playing again tomorrow but my box of hair goodies may come tomorrow too so fingers crossed I don't miss it as I can't wait to see what I get :goodvibes

Hide the flip flops! Bear has eaten at least 10 pair!

You can take no-flash pics (although some were ignoring that rule)

And we came to the Louvre on the "back" side via the metro so took a while to get oriented! We always wanted to walk the wrong way when coming out of the metro station!

My dog has gotten herself so much chocolate that if that was the case she'd be dead 10 times over:lmao:

Jim took me for my birthday one year. Loved it. We stayed athis awesome B & B that wasn't really expensive. out near seminary ridge. We did a couple of the "ghost" night tours. Loved it:thumbsup2

Good Morning all! Had a great time with my mom and my cousin at the Casino yesterday. I won $1,000:woohoo::cool1::yay:.

I know what mean about a dog and chocolate. My dog steals it every chance she gets and is still here to annoy me. :lmao:

I did see a couple of B&B's there that looked really nice. I would love to do the ghost tours also. I have been known to see them on occasion so it might be nice to see them where expected.

Very nice about the win. Did you go to Chester? I'd love to go once but I really am not thrilled with PARX.

Too hot to sleep in our room, so D & I slept on the couch near the a/c, but not well, if you KWIM.

I totally understand that. We have central air but the ductwork to the upstairs isn't the right kind so upstairs is HOT sometimes. I sleep with 2 fans trying to suck out as much cold as we can. Jim sleeps downstairs because he can't take the heat.

Fact: Daran has been known to spend an entire afternoon at the Museum of Middle Appalachia in Saltville, VA.:headache: He reads EVERY line of EVERY thing......we got so worn out with him at the Smithsonian that we left and went shopping!

I totally understand this. My mother reads everything when we go to museums, OUT LOUD. My grandkids could care less and I keep telling her I can read. SHe still does it. :confused3

I understand hot. I took my granddaughter to her swim lessons today and they a friend said that it was so hot on the 4th that a couple of people actually had heat exhaustion - at a swimming pool. I won't go when it gets this hot.

Hope you get some really good hair goodies.

Evening all. I went down to the Jersey shore yesterday and had a great day. The kids had a ball on the beach and we even got to see some dolphins. The hotel my daughter stayed at had grills so we cooked dinner there and it was great eating there. Saved me a ton of money. We let the kids play a few games on the boards but it was really just a relaxing day. The oonly bad thing is it's a 2 1/2 hour drive each way and hat drive home seems like it takes forever. Thankfully I have a radio and stop for coffee to keep me awake.

I had a free day from the kids so I got a pedicure. I have a wedding tomorrow, a 50th anniversary with a vow renewal saturday and then my anniversary on sunday. I figured my feet should look nice since I'll be in sandals alot this weekend. I can't wait to see the bride tomorrow. She has a giant tattoo across her back and I can't wait to see how that looks in a wedding gown. :scared1:

Oh well I hope you all have a good evening.

Jo will you please assit me with the 4th of July !!!! No Brits don't make a holiday of it !!!:rotfl2:But it is still on the calendar!!!:lmao:

Now how do you all plan to celebrate November 5th!!!!????:confused3:lmao:

Hey all. Wow, everyone is out and about and not here. Just a quick check in from me. I am crazy busy at work, but I had to take a bit of a break.

Jimmy has his friends movie birthday party tonight and then tomorrow is the big family dinner with my parents and brothers and everyone. So, its another busy weekend for us.

I know CE left for Ill. What is everyone else up to? V and T should be on their way home if not already there. Welcome back ladies:goodvibes

Hope you all have a great weekend. I will probably check in later tonight or at some point tomorrow. Dinner isn't until 6:30 tomorrow but I would like to get some of my normal Sunday stuff done then, so that maybe Sunday we can all just relax and hang out in the yeard or something.

Hi everyone , first where are you all ????? This is just a fly by post between jobs !! Will check in later after work to see if anyone else has joined us !!! Hey I started a PTR link in siggie

Hi girls!

We got back from the "world" this morning. I'm exhausted, but we had a great time. Sad to be home.

I'll try to catch up later... I have some laundry to do and get my pics uploaded. I won't be doing a TR this time, but I'll share pics here for you. :thumbsup2
