Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

My back neighbor came out this morning telling them they were being too loud because she was trying to sleep.

Sounds like my neighbor out back. We have been feuding for 27 years. He didn't like my dog when we moved into our house because the dog licked his head while he was gardening. :confused3 That's the one thing I hate about our houses being so close. Glad you got your fence up though. We have to replace a section of ours and I'm debating the wood or going vinyl. I could just take down the section because my neighbor I share a property line with put up a fence on his side also.

I won my match today so I'm now in the final :yay:

Congrats. Hope you do well in the final.

Jim is washing and waxing my car today.

Last night I went to Target for 1 $3 item. $95 later I left:headache:

Can he do mine next. A bird left me a present last night. :rotfl2:

I know the Target thing. I went for one thing yesterday and didn't get that but bought a bunch of other stuff instead. I only spent $15 though.

Glad your parents made it to Delaware in one piece last night.
++++++++++++++++++++++

Morning all. I have been of and on the last few days but lurking.

My grandson is out of the playoffs. His team lost Tuesday night. He accounted for 2 of their 4 runs though so he had a really good game.

My daughters work schedule is really goofy right now but it isn't too bad. I have 3 days off next week so we're doing a road trip to the Jersey shore. My other daughter will actually be down there at the same time so we will be able to hose off the kids after playing on the beach. I love going down there, it relaxes me just sitting on the beach. I have been having a lot of problems with my knee so I'm hoping all the walking on the boards will be OK.

My daughter went to the dentist the other day and I think he is trying to rob her. Her out-of-pocket expenses are over $4000. :scared1: She needs 2 root canals and crowns. That seems really high to me. I told her to get a second opinion on the price.

the weather here is really nice today. Low humidity and low 80's. Unfortunately one weather report said they were calling for 100 or better next week. :scared1:

Not much else going on here. I have a cook-out to go to at my brothers on saturday and am trying to think of a few things to take. My SIL is a vegetarian and lactose intolerant. Other than my spicy bean salad I am at a loss. Oh well I have one more day to come up with something.

Not much else going on here right now, Have a good day all.

Hello! :goodvibes How's everyone's summer going?

I was weak and booked a long weekend trip in Sept. I blame Mel... Well, Mel and the fact that I had a credit for 2 people to fly free. :cutie: So, it looks like a MNSSHP and F&W day trip for me and my man. :) Woohooo!

I'm hoping for a girls meet with Z, Yani, Mel & Angela too. :cloud9:

I don't think anything really noteworthy has happened since I was gone other than Baylie made officer on her dance team. She went to camp and has really grown as a dancer. Both girls are dancing a ton and starting their solos for next season. :dance3:

Since M wants some pics of me, I'll try to post one if I manage a good one.
popcorn:: Dirty pics? :laughing:

Can't wait to see them, especially since they still have most of my clothes and my suitcase from last year;)
Naked Janet... :rotfl:

I won my match today so I'm now in the final :yay: I beat her really easy that I started to feel guilty which is crazy right? I did play well though, after 9 holes I was only 1 over par :thumbsup2 I need to play last years Lady Captain in the final and give her about 20 shots  I need to play well then too :rotfl:
:cool1:

Hi friends!

I'm getting close to getting my pics uploaded and will start a TR--A Redneck's Guide to Paris! ;)
Can't wait! :thumbsup2

Hi Girls!

We finally made it in last night... I think we checked in around 9:30 or 10pm and not in bed until well after midnight. Ugh!:headache: I will never fly Continental again! Well not unless they have SUPER cheap flights. ;)

The weather was wonderful today! There was a nice thin layer of clouds and I do believe I felt a decent breeze. It did pour this evening, but naturally because Fockers were meeting in Epcot, right? :lmao: We found V and Leo in England and we're anxiously awaiting LL & Kate's arrival in the next day.

Off to bed, I'm exhausted! AK tomorrow. :teeth:
Have fun! I'm glad you guys got there safely.

Congrats, Jo!

Angela - I get excited for goofy stuff like that, too! See you on Saturday! :goodvibes

Janet - Are you serious? You never had your suitcases sent back? :faint:  Have a great time with you parents.

Hi CE, Rosie, Mo, TE ... that was TE, right? ;) Sorry, if I missed anyone!

Back from work--I've worked almost full time this week in order to make up time from the past two weeks and I'm about dead. Wouldn't want to make a habit outta this!

I missed my Nana a bunch whilst I was gone--remember she's at my nursing home now. Her memory is failing but she lit up when she saw me and said "I've missed you!" :goodvibes hard to see the dementia setting in on her..

I told her to get a second opinion on the price.

Absolutely get a second opinion ::yes::

Mom and Dad are safely in NJ! They took their time getting up this morning and headed out after rush hour. They got to the Hotel at about 1:00, rested and then headed to my AUnts for dinner. We will see them tomorrow! I am working a half day. Leaving work at 12:00 to get a pedi, then coming home, getting changed, picking up Jimmy and then heading over to see them!

It's a busy weekend for us so I Probably won't be around much, other than a quick check in between doing stuff withe family. Saturday is my nephews graduation party, Sunday we are having a BBQ at my Aunts, Monday Jimmy is supposed to march in the 4th of July Parade (The neighborhood one and yes, it NOT on the 4th of July:confused3) and then Tuesday I am going to the casino with my mother:rolleyes1 We haven't decided Atlantic City or Chester yet though.

I may take one more day off next week to have lunch with my mom and my Godmother, but not sure yet. If not I will work Wed - Fri,. Then next Saturday is out big family dinner before my parents leave to head back down to FLA on Sunday the 11th:sad2:

If I don't see you I hope you all have a wonderful July 4th and weekend:hug:

There is another casino in Bensalem. It's the one my DD works at and I complain about. :rolleyes1 I have actually never even been there.

Have a good July 4th.

Bear says "Don't leave me at the vet!"

The trip begins.........no where near where we live!

Ah---the joy of frequent flyer miles!
  • multiple connections ("the ability to see all of the US eastern seaboard on your way to Europe!")
  • departure airport 4 hours away
  • and coach class all the way!

But Free is Free so off we go!

So we head to Raleigh on Tues to spend the night so we would be well rested for our journey......except that BA can't sleep on the lumpy sofa sleeper....so she gets into bed with her sister at 2 am......and continuously kicks her sister until 4 am.......during this time, I'm trying to find any White noise that will drown out Daran's snoring......whilst telling myself "you need to sleep....go to sleep.....no need to worry about 10 hour plane ride tomorrow...." :guilty::sad2::sad2:

(side note about me---y'all have been chatting with me for years...but you may not have known this---for the past 10 years, I have been afraid of flying....I have given up prior trips with Daran to Paris, Greece, etc as a result which made be feel really miserable........but last year I started on a anxiety medication and it has made a huge difference...allowed me to fly to the Bahamas and then this year with 2 trips so far!! So---if anyone is like me out there, get some help--I put it off too long and can't get the years back)

OK.....so I finally get to sleep....and the alarm clock rings.

Off to RDU we go.........now this IS an international airport.....and we ARE going to CDG (Paris)......however, we're still in the south!

So they are really nice and since we speak Southern too.... they didn't need to check our passports..... or make us wait in long lines....or ask us silly questions about who packed our luggage and such.....they just put tags on our bags and sent us to the food court to wait on the plane! :thumbsup2

Plane trip Number 1: To JFK.........
this was on an AA Embraer regional jet.....aka a small airplane with small seats and you have to check your carry on baggage (which seems like an oxymoron to me "checked carry-on"........get it??? :confused3

We land safely at JFK in under 2 hours....and then wait for another 2+ hours........then hurry to board the next plane.........and then wait for another hour for it to take off!

Before we get on the plane: BA says "I'm really looking forward to the plane ride--I've never ridden on a big plane that serves food--I bet the seats are really comfortable!"

And wow....when we walked on the plane, we saw GIANT seats---they look really comfortable and had all these gadgets on them and little TVs in front!
:thumbsup2 Yes! This won't be so bad after all!!1

And then we walk past a divider......and poof.....the pretty seats go away and somewhere down the long aisle, we find our seats! (Boeing 767-300 with a 2-3-2 seating for you airplane folks!)

We buckle up to begin our adventure.....which doesn't really begin for another hour due to some air traffic whatever!

Then we're off!!

What we did on an 8 hour flight:
  1. played with my new Itouch! Scrabble and Icarly were great!
  2. ate supper--??chicken??
  3. watched "Tooth Fairy"
  4. saw some Islands in the middle of the Atlantic!
  5. put on comfy socks
  6. watched the monitor showing where the plane is! Wow--we're near Greenland and it's -58 degrees outside!
  7. was told to put down window shade and get some rest by flight attendant
  8. lights out!
  9. tried to get comfortable
  10. tried to recline seat.....which was connected to Daran's traytable so spilled his drink
  11. waited in line for the lavortory
  12. and then at midnight........
  13. LIGHTS ON! FLIGHT ATTENDANTS SAY WAKE UP!
  14. wth???
  15. Apparently it's 6 am in Paris, so we get crossants and juice
  16. It's NOT 6am for me......and my contacts have glued to my eyelids

But at 7:25 am we arrive at CDG!!! And wow....it really is daylight here! :confused3
Paris: HERE WE COME!

Jo won her golf game and says she is very good !!!:rolleyes1

Angela forgot she was going away and has to overpack

T finally made it to WDW and will never fly continental again unless they have a Bargain !!That's the spirit can't forget the Bargains

Some people are getting more from Target than they meant to !! Something I would never do:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Now for Rosie news !! Let's just say I had a very stressful day
:scared1::scared1:I am glad to be home But on the bright side Judy went for an interview at another brokerage firm and said it went very well she will hear next week for sure !! She likes it cuz it is small and family owned ! She would be a Senior something or other !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Kristel.. You are right I would be bored silly if I didn't work so much!!!!:rotfl2:I really love my field , just some days are really challenging !!!!!

Officer camp was in Houston. I'm so proud her. Something just clicked and she's so confidnet now and doing a great job. I don't know if it was camp or the title or what, but I'm happy to see she's coming into her own. :lovestruc

Go B:woohoo:

++++++++++++++++++++++++

It's Friday:cool1:, I am leaving work at 12:00:woohoo:, I get to see my parents today:yay:, AND Jimmy is sick:sick::sad2: He woke up saying his neck hurts, which usually means his throat hurts, which usually for him means strep. Kept him home from camp and Jim is going to call the doctor as soon as they opens at 9:00am.

Bussy weekend and a ton of stuff to do before I leave work. Hope you all have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend!:goodvibes

One sight I will never see. My husband refuses to go to France ever. Although he will go see the D-Day battlefields. :confused3

on the bright side Judy went for an interview at another brokerage firm and said it went very well

Hope she gets it.

Been there. Not enamored.
Jimmy is sick:sick::sad2:

I don't blame you. It looks nice but the people aren't the friendliest. Except for my daughter that is. :rolleyes1

Hope Jimmy feels better soon. What a lousy weekend to get sick especially with his grandparents up here.

++++++++++++++++++++
Morning everyone. Not much happening here. Taking the kids to the pool and then making some stuff for my brother's tomorrow. Still don't know what I'm bringing though. I also have the go ahead from the pediatrician for a new specialist for Mikey so I am going to try and get an apointment in this decade. She said a developmental pediatrician can take up to 2 years. :scared1: Now they think there is a possibility that is high functioning autistic or just ADHD. I just want an answer.

Well have a good day all.

Jim got an 11:30 doctor's appointment so hopefully she will give him an antibiotic:thumbsup2

::yes:: When I called CHOP to get Jimmy started on OT, they wouldn't even see me until he saw the developmental peditrician, even though we already had his diagnosis. It was 9th month wait to get an appointment. Called St. Chris' and got right in:thumbsup2

I waved at you when it looked like the plane was over England! I was looking at a map--we weren't that far away, were we??!

Daran is going to the Farnborough air show on Jul 17--how far away is that??
++++++

Well, I was planning to take BA and her friend to the pool.....but her friend is at the hospital as they have a baby on the way. Her brother's girlfriend, who is Abby's age (17) is delivering today. Hope things go ok...we have so many pregnant teens right now, it's sad.:sad2:

Well a flight from Paris to London takes about an hour!

60 miles away, what's he going there for? Can you smuggle into his case?

Yikes  I first read that as someone BA's age was preggers  Kind of relieved she is older!

We had a nice BBQ tonight, well except the people over the back who were playing very weird music loudly, I'd never heard anything like it before :rotfl2:

I called CHOP and was on hold for 5 minutes so I hung up. The main number put me through to the Behavioral center and I don't think the options I was offered was where I wanted to be, psych or neurology. I called St Chris and they are sending the paperwork out. When they get it back he will be put on the list for an appointment. The wait will be 9-12 months. He starts school in 14 months I would like an answer before then.

I took the kids to the pool and they had fun. Of course Mikey was told to stop running I don't know how many times. The lifeguards came over and asked me to stop him from running. I told them as soon as I figure out how to I will. That is Mikey. I can't decide if I want to go to the pool on the 4th. There are games and a DJ but I would love to just hang out at the house. I'll probably got to the pool for a little, they are calling for HOT weather.

Have a good night.

Evening all. I got home from work about 12:45. At about the same timeJim and jimmy got home with his Strep diagnosis and his anti-biotic. I got changed, then we all loaded into the van. I went and got a Pedi and the boys went to the library. When I was done we met at the car and we headed over to Jersey to meet my parents. A 45 minute drive turned into and hour and a half. There was an accident on the Jersey side of the Walt Whitman Bridge which snbarled traffic for a while and then there was anothe raccident on 295N, which backed everything up again.

We went to dinner at the Olive Garden. Meh, not a huge OG fan, but it was cconvenient. PLus I had a coupon for a free kids meal:thumbsup2 It was great catching up with mom and dad. We then headed back to their hotel and hung out for a bit before heading home. The traffic heading home wasn't bad....everyone was headed in the other direction heading down the shore.

Tomorrow we have my nephews graduation party, but that's not until 3:00 so the morning will just be a vegging out time.

Hope everyone has a good night:hug:

Day 3 was either a free day in Rome or a side trip to Pompeii and Naples. I took the optional trip along with my new friend Barb. The bus was maybe half full so it was nice to spread out while making the 2 hour drive. On the way down we passed the Montecrissino monastery made famous for the battle in WWII.
Enjoying the Italy sites! Where in Italy is Pompeii?

My sister used to live in Farnborough !!!

Evening all !!! I am planning a short day tomorrow as I have a double shift on Sunday for the 4th BUT it is time and a half so that will be nice !!!

Farnborough---not sure how to spell that in English ;)---is home of the big air show--it alternates years with the Paris air show so he goes pretty much every year to one or the other! He'll be there 7/17-7/24--(I looked up plane fares but they seem to want $1400 or more to get there and back...) I'm going with him next time though---free hotel is nice!
I was counting--I've been to 5 countries in the last 8 weeks! (that is if you count Luxumbourg as a country--it's pretty small! ;)) Sigh--UK would be nice!
