Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Nothing here either. Waiting and waiting and waiting.....

The waiting is the hardest part (10 Focker points to whomever names the artist;))

Dawn's having fun in Disney! She called me tonight from the bar. She said it reminded her about me. LOL!!!

Sounds like a plan.:thumbsup2

Oh, and thanks to everyone who asked/sympathized about my pinky finger. It's much better, though I lost a good deal of the nail (ewwww!) and it's black and blue. I can type now at least!

:scared::hug:

Tears are streaming down my face, my ear is clogging, and I am sneezing a lot. Ugh, ugh, ugh. But that all does make it seem like possible allergies as much as anything. :confused3 I mean, yes, my daffodils are coming up, but the trees aren't budding yet. :confused3

I went ahead and bowed out of my tennis tomorrow (friendly doubles with the team) because I can't really imagine waking up and feeling ready to go - and even if I do, it's probably wise to take it easy.

Sounds like a good idea,

Hey would I lie !!!!:rolleyes1:lmao:

If I could... :goodvibes

Somehow I think it is a good thing you don't have tag privileges:lmao:

So I am going to cheat. I never got the brownies started, and I am too tired to start them now, so I am going to stop pick up some cookies or something from the bakery on my way home tomorrow....Shhhhh, don't tell!;)

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I hope you all have a wonderful day! I'm going to be out for the majority of the day, so I thought I'd pop in now.
Kids are both off to their last day of school for 10 days! WhooooT!!!

Carppy rainy day. THey are predicting 50 mph winds tonight and 5 inches of rain between now and Sunday morning...anybody goy an ark I can borrow:confused3

I am work, but am leaving early so I can pick up some sort of treat to take to the firehouse tonight. THen I running home and meeting Jim there. Picking up Jimmy's Cub Socut uniform. AFter that we will pick him up and grab something to eat out and then head to the Scout meeting. :faint:

Tomorrow will be cleaning and laundry and then on SUnday I think Jimmy has a playdate. I have to call the kids mom tomorrow to confirm.

Talk to you all soon:goodvibes

We've had rain almost all of yesterday and so far this morning. :sad2: The pool is almost full, and I can't figure out how to drain it. Luckily the pool guy is supposed to be out this afternoon. I still need to iron and clean, but with this weather, I just want to nap as I haven't been sleeping well. I saw Michael Buble Wednesday, amazing! :thumbsup2 I highly recommend going if you can. I only sort of knew his music but still had a great time. Plus he's nice eye candy. :goodvibes

CE, I hope you feel better.
Mel, glad your finger's better too.
Janet, Rosie and everyone else, hello!

Where did you hear 5 inches? I heard 3 to 4 and that was depressing. Then I thought of the alternative and it would be over 3 feet of snow so I can live with the rain. Of course the snow has finally melted in front of my house and I still can't get down my Christmas decorations. :lmao:

I remember those days of scouts and all the running around. Now I get to do it again with the grandkids.

+++++++++++++
The hockey game last night was lousy. We lost badly. I did get to practice with my new camera so that was good and I got some really nice shots.
I have a quiet weekend because of all the rain. I melt so I avoid it. I will probably work on my paper for school and maybe tackle the corner of my house that we throw everything in. I swear everytime I try it gets bigger. :scared1:

I am going to the cheap morning movie tomorrow, I hope. I have been trying all week and something comes up. There are now 4 movies I want to see.
Have a good day all.

Hi, Mel!

Carppy rainy day. THey are predicting 50 mph winds tonight and 5 inches of rain between now and Sunday morning...anybody goy an ark I can borrow:confused3

Not getting here until tomorrow. You could borrow my boat, but it doesn't have a roof, so it wouldn't help much.

CE, I hope you feel better.

Thanks. I'm a bit better so far today... Hope your pool issue gets resolved! :goodvibes

I totally understand that. Good luck!

Well, the alarm went off and I took stock and thought I was feeling much better. So, I got up to help get the kids out of the door. Once I was up and moving around, I realized that I did not feel quite as good as I did whilst lying down.

So, I went back to bed. D's playing both tennis classes, then going into work for a bit (he has to fly on Monday, and he's finally NOT off today.) Lying down felt much better again, but my head was racing with Book Fair and other things - finally settled back down and did sleep for a bit longer.

Now I'm up again, and have been for a while - I do feel better. Not well, but not as miserable as yesterday. :thumbsup2

So, I'm debating a shower (maybe even with hair dye!) and then I need to drop off math superstars sheets at school and track down my still-missing birthday present at the Post Office. :headache: Of course, it's already 11:00, so I need to get moving if I'm doing any of this.

Have a good one, everyone! :goodvibes

Good Morning! :wave2:

It's been a busy week, I wish I was happy it's the weekend, but I have stupid cookie booths this weekend. I am so over it! Ugh! :headache:

Andy's sick and he's so busy at work, he hasn't been able to get to the doctor. :sad2:

The good thing is this is our last weekend to deal with cookies, as everything needs to be wrapped up by the 23rd. AND we're planning a trip to Vegas. I know. Evan wants to go to Vegas and "check it out". I don't think he realizes he's too young to gamble. :lmao:

Anyway, I hope everyone's having a great day and Mel, have a great trip! :wizard:

Later Peeps! :hippie:

Now I have to worry that there is a recurrence of the problems she had before. I am trying to stay positive and think it's just a stomach bug.
I hope she's OK and that's great about your mamogram :thumbsup2

The research survey for Dr. Belle's paper for Milan is ready. (Though, sadly, I have decided not to go - it's just too expensive for a girls' trip. :sad1:)
Done it and oh no :sad1:

Pictures?
Eventually :rotfl2:

Seriously, I was just thinking that recently. WHO is reading us? :confused3
I know  and have a great trip!!!

Tears are streaming down my face, my ear is clogging, and I am sneezing a lot. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

I am surprised no one asked what RE was :lmao::lmao:
Because they don't believe I'm English :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Hey would I lie !!!!:rolleyes1:lmao:
No Rosie you wouldn't you're too sweet :goodvibes

Did you? Sorry I missed that! RE stands for Religious Education, they also call it RS Religious Studies. Also PE is physical education :thumbsup2

Glad it's almost over and hope Andy gets better soon

I won my golf match 4 & 3 and the team won 3 - 2 so it was tight, it actually came down to the very last match on the very last green  But we're through :yay: I did get wet though, we got about 4 very hard showers and one of them was hail

I meant to ask/tell you? When you school gets the % of sales, do they use that money to purchase books for the teachers and the library? That's what our school does and we have found we get a better percentage if you get the scholastic dollars as opposed to the cash, plus the teachers get nice allotments too:thumbsup2

Thank you. Would you mind putting it up on FB or something, so that we get a lot of Brits? :flower3: It would be super helpful.

See, I'm fuzzy brained. :rotfl: I figured that one out on my own, so no, I didn't ask. I asked about the resistant materials, right? Sorry. :sad2: :lmao:

Right. No, we take the cash. It's 25% of sales vs. 50% in Scholastic dollars, but it's a huge amount of the PATT yearly budget, which we use for music/plays/Field Day etc. that can't be bought through the Scholastic catalog. We do get the Scholastic dollars as incentives. Some of that gets used to give teachers 20% off the books they buy (have to cover that to Scholastic somehow) and then for daily gift certificate winners, etc. We did have a huge balance from last spring/this fall in Scholastic $ that we used to buy some stuff for the new in-school preschool. :thumbsup2

I think with this being the second fair of the year, our Scholastic $ incentive doubles, too, which is nice. I have a meeting with our rep next Wed.

Ugh, I have a ton of stuff to do at home and I am sitting here:headache: The day crawling by. I hate to use V time if I don't have to though. Like to bank it:thumbsup2

Makes sense, but I'm sorry your day is boring.

Well, I showered and did my hair, got my school stuff dropped off, successfully finally obtained my birthday present, and stopped by the store to get some weekend supplies (mostly, frankly, wine. :rotfl:) I feel ever so productive! :lmao:

D called after tennis with an intriguing thought. Supposedly there's still snow on a lot of the ski hills (how, after a week of high 40's-mid 50's, I don't know, but...) and Deb's DD8 has her last ski club tonight. So, if he can get back from the office on time, he might take the kids skiing one last time. We have free passes for the kids at that hill, as part of their ski club deal, so why not? But, I'm not supposed to mention it in case he can't get back, UNTIL he gets back. Keep your fingers crossed for me! :upsidedow

Holy cow, what an end to the Michigan-Ohio State game! Sorry - I have the TV on... ;)

I feel like I could really use an evening to myself, and I might be back to myself!

GOtcha. See scholastic for us isn't our big fundraiser for the year. THat's our Cherrydale sale at the beginning of the year. Our fair in May is BOGO:thumbsup2

We have three other fundraisers (did I mention that I will be on the ballot for fundraising chair?) but these book fairs do as well or better, though they don't fall under the fundraising chairperson's umbrella...

What did you get?

Books! There were a couple waiting for me when we got back, but these got lost in the "held mail" system somehow. Joint gifts from BIL/SIL and stepSIL/BIL. I have some reading to do!

Man...

D called, he was on his way home, and the boys had just gotten off the bus, so he had me ask if they wanted to go skiing. Woody was enthusiastic but Buzz not so much. I think he was just out of the skiing mindset. But, I kind of talked him into it, and called D back to say they were a go.

By that point, D was not wanting to go. Swell. He just felt that they'd be really late to get up there, but since I'd already asked the kids, he said he'd go - just asked me to get as much ready as I could.

I did, and we also figured that they'd be there until 10:00, so we let them know there'd likely be no karate tomorrow morning - we've been twice this week, so it's OK.

Anyway, they left a little after 4:00, and I've been just chilling - napped for a bit, watched TV, etc. I got a call about 45 minutes ago that Buzz was having one of his really bad headaches, and the ski hill didn't have kids' pain relief, so I did some research and one regular is the same as the two juniors he usually takes, but of course they're not chewable...

So, now, I've gotten a call from D that they're on the way home - Buzz threw up. Likely because of trying to take the pill, but he does sometimes get sick with the migraines, so who's to say?

I feel so bad, like I pushed them out - and then this happened. :guilty:

D says not to be silly, but... Darn it. I guess at least thank goodness that the kids' lift tix were free, so it wasn't a huge waste of money, just time and effort. :sad2:
