Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Isn't it T who loved the line from The Devil Wears Prada about being one stomach flu away from your goal weight? Let's leave it that my night involved an ambulance, an ER trip (with the other two people in my room at the ER having the same thing). When I left the ER, my shoes were flapping around I had shrunk so much.
Yikes, are you all OK now?

Can I tell you that I love my sister? She called my mother to tell her that my grandmother was not invited to stay with me because of all the hurtful things she said last time she was here. I had no idea she was going to do that, and she told my mother she was not relaying a message from me, just her observations. She said she was so mad at my grandmother she could have hit her. I had no idea that my sister would get so angry on my behalf. :goodvibes
Woohoooo!

I did get a slight sun burn on my cheeks and nose the other day. Guess I better find the sunblock.
Yikes I didn't realise you lived in such a sunny spot!

You made those up:lmao:
Nope, do you not have runner beans, broad beans etc???

How'd she make out?
It was just an info evening :thumbsup2

O.W.L's? :rotfl: Sorry, I crack myself up.
Not quite :rotfl2:

I just want to veg for a bit, but he's both making the scraping noises, and is kind of muttering a running commentary to himself during the process. :rotfl: It's fairly amusing, but not relaxing. :rolleyes1
Uhhh ohhh :rotfl: hope you feel better soon

Well the evening was OK and we near enough know what she'll choose, we have a personal interview on April 1st so we'll make the final decisions then :thumbsup2

we won! Woohoo! Handily, too. :thumbsup2 I finally played in a match like I play in class/practice!

Congrats:cheer2:

Nope, do you not have runner beans, broad beans etc???

Jo runner beans are something like green beans here and brad beans would be more like a butter bean or a large lima !!! Our runner beans are longer though !!!:snooty:

I am finally home at a reasonable hour today !!! Actually home before 4 pm !!! Cooked supper did laundry, took Steph tanning then did a Walmart run !!!
Hopefully I will be getting my own laptop soon !! Tomorrow I will bug Phil about which one to get and have him research it !!! Then I have my refund check and VOILA new laptop for Rosie !!!:banana:

What'd she pick?
So far we definitely have English Lit, English Lang, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, German, RE then we're not quite sure how many choices we have left (we think 2) so her next choices are photography, History, resistant materials, child development and PE, we've chosen a few as sometimes you don't get your first choice!

I'm having to wait in anyway as we have our old car being picked up (they called and will be here in about half an hour :thumbsup2) and then the new one will be delivered. The registration plate is AK## EE* (haven't put the whole reg for security reasons :rotfl2:) isn't it funny how we see WDW abbreviations :rotfl:

Ugh. I crashed yesterday. D made dinner whilst I slept. Then I slept in, truly, until 10:30 when the phone rang (solicitation call, too). D got the kids up and out, and then he played my tennis class for me.

I slept badly. Seem to be a touch better, but still really stuffed up and miserable. Gah. Thank goodness D is here. :lovestruc

OK Miss smartypants watch this UK advert and you'll see I didn't make up the runner bean bit :rotfl2: Click Here!

It's not you lot that I'm worried about it's the lurkers, have you noticed for every 100 posts we have about 1,000 views :faint: I thought we were boring too :rotfl2:

Nope a new car comes with a new plate. We have new plates in March and September and the ones that have just come out are ??10 ??? as it's 2010, the September ones will be ??60 ??? (2009 was 59 if that makes sense) You can buy a personalised # plate and then you can pay to transfer it, David used to have A3 DSY (I brought it for a Birthday pressie) but we ended up not bothering to transfer it!

Resistant materials? Has she done German before?
Resistant materials is a bit of woodwork, metal work and plastics :thumbsup2 And yep she's done German for the last 2.5 years she hates it though :rotfl2:

You obviously needed it

The old car was picked up fine and they didn't charge us for the stone chip damage which was great and then about an hour later the new one arrived :thumbsup2 we went for black again but it's a different model, I think it's nicer and comfier and the boot/trunk is pretty big too as it's a mid sized car :thumbsup2

Oh, good. :goodvibes

Good evening all. Just doing a quick stop in. The weather was somewhat nice but we are going to be getting a lot of rain starting tonight. With the amount they are calling for I am really glad it won't be snow. I have had a mixed day.
My daughter had the HPV virus 4 years ago. We went through the surgeries and she had a high risk pregnancy but everything seemed to be fine. She has been getting a lot of pain in her abdomen and settles around the pubic bone. She has been gighting the state for health insurance so she can't see a Dr. yet. She is on unemployment, her fiancee is out of work because he is seasonal and they won't give her insurance. Now I have to worry that there is a recurrence of the problems she had before. I am trying to stay positive and think it's just a stomach bug.
On the good side my follow-up mammo came back great so whatever they think they saw in August is gone. :goodvibes
The best thing is that my SIL called me and told me he has 4 club box tickets with free parking to tonights Flyers hockey game. :woohoo: I haven't been to a game since 1988 so this will be fun.

Oh well have a good night all.

Hey, all - I posted this on FB, but thought it was worth putting on here, too.

The research survey for Dr. Belle's paper for Milan is ready. (Though, sadly, I have decided not to go - it's just too expensive for a girls' trip. :sad1:)

She is particularly interested in people who live or have lived outside the US, so Jo and Rosie, I'm asking for your help in passing this on to your non-US friends. However, she says, "more data is ALWAYS better" so you should all take the survey! :lmao:

Here's her note:

Good evening all. .

 Have fun at the game:thumbsup2

Hey, all - I posted this on FB, but thought it was worth putting on here, too.

Do you want us to do it?:confused3
++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Evening all. Doctor went well. Don't need to go back to see him until my regular check up next year:yay:

Did Ellio's pizza for dinner, it was quick and easy:thumbsup2 I have to make brownies for the scouts to take on their trip to the firehouse tomorrow, to thank the firemen for helping us.

Other than that, not much going on here. Hope everyone has a lovely evening!

Jo, I know she's a couple years younger than SD but her classes are on a level with his. He's a junior (11th grade, one to go till grad) in high school and he's taking this year Algebra 2, Chemistry, Physics, and he has English Lit and Modern Media and had Biology last year! You guys must be sort of accelerated! He's in his 2nd year of Spanish also (well, 3rd but he's really doing Spanish 2 again...)

I slept badly. Seem to be a touch better, but still really stuffed up and miserable. Gah. Thank goodness D is here. :lovestruc
Sorry you're sick, CE. That is doubly awful because the weather has just turned so nice! Feel better soon!

It's not you lot that I'm worried about it's the lurkers, have you noticed for every 100 posts we have about 1,000 views :faint: I thought we were boring too :rotfl2:
Seriously, I was just thinking that recently. WHO is reading us? :confused3

Other than that, not much going on here. Hope everyone has a lovely evening!
Your evening sounds lovely. A quiet night is so nice! Glad you don't have to return to the Dr. any time soon!
*************************************************

Nothing here either. Waiting and waiting and waiting.....

Dawn's having fun in Disney! She called me tonight from the bar. She said it reminded her about me. LOL!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2: They braved the rain to visit the park today. I texted her to tell her there was a tornado watch up for the area. You know, I feel compelled to protect her. :sad2:

The boys are all set for their week off! SD has all his work from his teachers except for Algebra 2. He said he's planning a SUPER HOMEWORK BLOWOUT tomorrow night and just doing it until it's ALL done! :thumbsup2 Yeah, that sounds great but I bet he'll give up at some point! ;) He has alot but not a crazy amount. He'll be able to do it before we leave on Sunday for sure!

Gus is feeling stuffy still (he was home sick yesterday) but he's toughing it out. He got his work gathered today too. He's pretty confident that he'll be fine on this trip, homework-wise. He's got some nice teachers that just said, "Have fun!!!" How nice!

Tomorrow I will do all my ironing, get my hair cut/colored finally and then I'm meeting my friend, Kim, for lunch. I'm really looking forward to this trip! I bought my tickets today from Undercover Tourist. They're being FEDEX'd to me tomorrow. Now it feels real!!!

Oh, and thanks to everyone who asked/sympathized about my pinky finger. It's much better, though I lost a good deal of the nail (ewwww!) and it's black and blue. I can type now at least!

Have a good night everyone!

MEL:banana:

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

Sorry you're sick, CE. That is doubly awful because the weather has just turned so nice! Feel better soon!

I know. In a way it's better that it's supposed to rain all through Sunday, because then at least I don't mind just wanting to be on the couch. :rotfl2:

****************************************************
Tears are streaming down my face, my ear is clogging, and I am sneezing a lot. Ugh, ugh, ugh. But that all does make it seem like possible allergies as much as anything. :confused3 I mean, yes, my daffodils are coming up, but the trees aren't budding yet. :confused3

I went ahead and bowed out of my tennis tomorrow (friendly doubles with the team) because I can't really imagine waking up and feeling ready to go - and even if I do, it's probably wise to take it easy.

Must go move laundry! :wave2:
