Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Waitin' on my washer! I picked for it to be delivered in the "morning"...so naturally the delivery driver said it would be 1-4 "if all goes well."

But I went to the bank to get some cash for the trip....and I'm starting to pack...well, I've printed off the list!

That's ridiculous and I hope you have enough days off!

Luckily I do!

I went up to receive prizes more than anyone else :smooth: :rotfl2:

WTG Jo:cheer2:

Janet/CE: Iron Man 2 may be a little loud for Jimmy, just in case. There's more fighting in it too and I think maybe 1 or 2 bad words...but still awesome.

We are going to rent the first one on Friday for him to watch, so we will how that goes. The noise isn't an issue, we just bring his ear plugs:thumbsup2

WHat a pain in the butt!:headache: Hope it gets straightened out for you:goodvibes

That does stink. I may be absent for the Nov. one if we get to take our anniversary trip - but I will make sure everything is set and we have coverage. Sigh.

Exactly. I may not be able to be there for all the days in the fall, but I will make sure there are enough people there!

Well, as I said, we lost, but it was pretty close. Playing outside went better than I'd feared, and I wasn't cold, which was good. For my first foray into the better team, I'm not too disappointed, though I would have liked to have won. And, the captain was happy with my performance, so they may ask me again. ;)

Great job:thumbsup2

Hopefully, it just needs a good sucking.

Hope it isn't anything serious!

. So, I guess that means they think she's tolerating the feedings, so that's good.

Keeping fingers crossed for her!

::yes:: We had an Employee Appreciation day last week and the activities, etc. didn't really matter - it was just nice to feel appreciated!

Wow, if they did that here, I think everyone would pass out!:lmao:

Hi V :wave2:

Ugh, frustrated. Still no sign of the septic people. I need to leave in about 2 hours to sub into a tennis class, so I need to call for an estimated time, I think. I still hope it's just a pump-out issue, which wouldn't take too long, but...

Did they ever show up?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I was stuck in a training since 8am this morning. I was ready to stab myself with a spoon, it would be less painful:cool2:

At work now. Have no email and several other of our programs arent' working. So, basically all the work piled on my desk becasue I was out yesterday is staring at me becasue I can't do anything with it. Can this week get any better:scared1:

Tonight is the Family NIght at the book fair, so I will be leaving here at 4, running home to walk and feed the dog and then heading over to school for that. Haven't heard how things have gone today yet:rolleyes1

HOpe you are all having a great day:hug:

Afternoon! Apparently my body is pretty peeved at me for getting on the bike at the gym yesterday, I slept till 230 this afternoon!!

I met my boss yesterday evening and got my work finally, but ti rained today and I am not going out in the rain so it may be less work this week, but once it clears up I am good to go. I have to go about 10 blocks from here for my section, which is doable.

So night 1 at the gym was about 20 min on the bike. We got there pretty late. Plus I have no clue how to use any of the stuff there and dont really know what i can and cant use because of my back. I am seeing my Dr in 2 weeks tho so that'll help. Anyone have gym advice??

I have been trying to promote our Disney Vinylmation Trading event all morning via twitter and facebook. I really hope people come!

Not much else going on, just hanging around on the pc today.

Oh my gosh Rachel - CONGRATULATIONS!!!:cheer2::hug::woohoo::hug::banana:

Sorry, I'm probably no help; I use a minimal-gadgets treadmill and free weights at home... those gym machines scare me, lol! Don't they have someone there to show you how they work and how to use them properly?

So here's something interesting... my allergies have been off the charts this Spring, thanks in large part to the Jacaranda trees pollinating like never before after our crazy-cold winter. At WDW, there were no Jacarandas that I could see - and my allergies were heaps better there. I'm absolutely exhausted at the end of each day, all over. Case in point, after working out last night for an hour, my body now aches all over and I've had a colossal headache since then. Comparatively, I walked untold miles all weekend and had no ill effect at all. Wacky... and frustrating. :headache:

What else is new? Getting geared up for the Preakness this Sat. Hope Leo makes the winning bet again, lol! And hoping to see Iron Man 2 on Sunday.

Happy Thurs. all!

Well, since we started the C25K training, I've pretty much given up the gym. I don't know the extent of your back injury, so I can't really advise. I have sciatica and have found the treadmill at a steady speed helps with that and also the ab machines and the rowing machine make my back stretch out, so that helps too. The key is consistancy. I stay away from the vertical bikes as those make my sciatica worse. The horizontal bikes are more my preference. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Yea but we have been going at like 9 or 10 at night since KC's work schedule is a mess until next week and there is less likely to be anyone there. I am hoping we'll get there at a more decent hour next wee.

I think the tread mill is my next attempt. I also see my Dr on the 26th so I can find out what I can and can't do more.

So the weather is nice out so I can go out and do some work....if I can wake up. Aunt flo is killing me, killing my sleep and my body in general. I really just wanna go back to bed. So i am going to have some coffee and food and see what happens. I'd like to at least get out there for a few hours today and tomorrow since I have to return my paperwork to my crew leader tomorrow night.

Have a great day everyone!

i think stretching is important. also, just give it time. i know when i do my pilates for a couple weeks, my back feels so much better. good luck!

wow, that sucks! i completely feel for ya. i don't have allergies and i'm so glad. but, my husband has them and it's been bad the last couple weeks. he feels the same way.. tired, weak... he actually almost fell asleep driving home from work. he's tried all the different allergy medicines and nothing helps. have you ever tried the shots?? he hasn't , but he heard they didn't work.

Wow...your CL sounds pretty lenient. I meet with my enumerators every morning and if they're not putting in 30 hours a week and 30 cases, minimum, they're written up. 2nd write up is termination. :confused3
Do you know how long your operation is scheduled for? Our term date is June 19th.

It took over 2 hours and we were all tired !! So we decided we needed to go out for a late breakfast and also decided Phil could pay!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Everyones different but I can't do the rowing machine with my back as it kills it. I'm glad you're going to the Dr, is this part of KC's new job?

Book Fair is OVER:yay::yay: We did really well, considering it was a BOGO sale. I took today off to help with the last day and so I could shadow the girl I am taking over for. Then I cam home and relaxed for an hour or so, before going back to school to pick up Jimmy.

Homework is doen and now he is just relaxing in front of the TV. Jim had a game this afternoon, so he won't be home for abohter hour or so. BTW, remember I told you his team really stunk and they probably wouldn't make the playoffs....well they ave won every game since then:rolleyes1

I talked to Jimmy's teacher today. She informed me that she is submitting Jimmy's name to be tested for MG classes. In way I'm quite proud, in the other I am a little nervous becasue the last thing he needs is more pressure. I think I am just going to let them test him and see where it goes and then worry about the right decision to make. He read Diary of a Wimpy Kid in 2 days :faint:

That's it from this end. Will check in later:goodvibes

Did they ever show up?

Yes, more below.

Drive-by post! :moped:

Hi, All! :wave2:

Hi, T! Bye, T!

ok, i guess it's my montly post here. can't seem to get back in the groove. but, i do have some exciting news i wanted to share.

WOOHOOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!! :cloud9:

Anyone have gym advice??

I don't know how you do it, but we got a free session of "how to use this" when we started. My MIL has horrible back issues - can't pick up more than 10 pounds, for example - but still works out. She does the treadmill at low or no incline, and the ellipticals are OK if you don't put the resistant up too high. I'm with T - the "sit down" kind of bikes are much better. ::yes::

Case in point, after working out last night for an hour, my body now aches all over and I've had a colossal headache since then. Comparatively, I walked untold miles all weekend and had no ill effect at all. Wacky... and frustrating.

I'm sorry. Blah.

Well, since we started the C25K training, I've pretty much given up the gym.

::yes:: It got to me today that I have a ridiculous monthly fee for a gym where, at the moment, all I do is go and take tennis classes which are extra fees. I need to get back to doing some free stuff, and could do the C25K on the treadmill (and will, if the weather is yuck) but it's been SO nice lately that I've just been running my neighborhood.

What day are you on? Because I'm not truly a couch potato, it's not killing me... yet... ;)

i didn't realize i'm the first to have a baby. that's funny!

Yes, ma'am! :goodvibes

Fantastic and hope the tank got sorted

It's working fine.

Had a scratch match today, it's a knock out competition and it was against my partner Val whose handicap is 1 less and I beat her :woohoo: I now have to play another friend whose (is it whose or who's????) handicap is the same and we take it turns to win :rotfl2:

That's awsome! Way to go! (And it's whose... "who's" is the contraction for "who is". I'm a grammar geek.)

Book Fair is OVER:yay: We did really well, considering it was a BOGO sale.

Woohoo!

Obviously this is a good thing, but I'm blanking on what MG might stand for. We don't have accelerated classes in the elementary. Anyway, WTG, Jimmy!

*********************************************************
So, when I'd not heard anything from the septic by 10:00, I called. Well, their first appointment took too long, blah, blah, and they'd be around before noon. But, I had to leave for the tennis class at 11:30. Thankfully, they came at 11:00, but it was only the guys to pump, not the "fixer." So, I had to leave them here, but they held me up trying to talk at me. When I finally got out, I was so late and discombobulated that I didn't even take my tennis racquet. :sad2:

When I got out, the tech guy had been to my house and left - turned out it was the pump that was just dead. I keep telling myself that at least we didn't have to have the whole system replaced, but it was a $1,000 day. :scared:

He came back a few hours later and had it in and running before dinner time.

That was the rest of my day, really, and today was pretty low-key. I took my regular tennis class, went to the grocery, and took the kids to karate after school - whilst they were in class, I did my C25K thing. Tomorrow, I'm walking with my friend and we're meeting another of the twin-mom friends for some shopping. D's in CA until Sunday, and that's that.

Saturday we have our neighbor's First Communion party and then baseball at 2:00.

Oh, and I got hit in the nose full-on with a tennis ball today. It's throbbing and tender and a little swollen, but thankfully so far, it's not morphing into black eyes. Only me. :rotfl:

Hope you feel better. You're busy as usual - good luck with the pictures.

And, lastly, my grandmother was nearly sent back to the nursing home today, but was having some blood seepage around the tube site, so they're just keeping her one more day. So, I guess that means they think she's tolerating the feedings, so that's good. :thumbsup2

Me busy? I was gone from 8:15 this morning and didn't get home until 8:30.

How is your grandmother doing?

first, we finally bought a house in wv. it's was in the process of being built when we bought it, but shoulde be done by mid june. once we get settled, maybe i can start posting on a regular basis.

I feel you on the allergies. I even had problems in Disney when I was there. They are really bad this year. Good luck on the Preakness. My DD's both have work all weekend because of it. they work for a racetrack/casino so they get swamped with bets.

Congrats on the match. I don't really know much about golf but it sounds like fun. Hope you get your big win. You never know.

Book Fair is OVER:yay::yay:

I know how nice it is for those fund-raisers to end. I am not volunteering for the grandkids. I did it for my kids. Congrats to Jim's team and Jimmy. If you don't feel that MG is right for him don't put the pressure there. It might be good for the stimulation it provides though. You know your son best.

Evening all. it has been another one of my hectic days. I watched the kids all day, went to the drs., finally got some food in the house and then took the grandkids to the neighborhood carnival. Then I got to come home and called the t-ball parents to fill them in on the game and pictures. At least I managed to get some expensive and not that great food at the carnival for dinner. :rotfl2:

My DH called to tell me he may be home really late as he was in a minor car accident at work. They had a van full of inmates who all claimed they were hurt "real bad" so he has to take them all to the hospital for evaluations. It was a really minor accident, just a side view mirror was damaged, and he is ok just stuck at work.

I am on another round of antibiotics because of my allergies. Now I have a sinus infection. I cannot WAIT for the summer to get here.

My grandson had a baseball game last night and did really well, 2 hits and 3 or 4 RBI's. :woohoo: His team is undefeated. :thumbsup2 Unfortunately he may be done for the season. He hurt his hand sliding into 3rd while stealing the base. His thumb is swollen and purple. His mom had to work all day so he is at the ER getting x-rays. I think he may have just sprained it based on the fact that he could move it last night but he couldn't grip the bat so I don't know.

Well off to work on my photopass pics so I can get that over with and then I may even get a chance to start my TR. Have a nice night all.

Obviously this is a good thing, but I'm blanking on what MG might stand for. We don't have accelerated classes in the elementary. Anyway, WTG, Jimmy!

MG = Mentally Gifted...basically advanced classes.Thanks!:goodvibes

:sad2:

Ugh! Were you able to play? Borrow a racquet?

but it was a $1,000 day. :scared:

Yikes! Sorry about that:hug:

Me busy? I was gone from 8:15 this morning and didn't get home until 8:30.

:faint:

Jimmy in bed, but still awake...I can hear pages turing in his books. I am off to bed. This book fair wiped me out. You don't realize how much you are standing, until you finally get to sit down!

Have a good night all!:goodvibes

How is your grandmother doing?

Oh, I forgot to say. They sent her back to the nursing home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. My dad was unsure if she's ready - says her mental state is still very confused - but figured she might as well be confused in the nursing home, where maybe my mom can get a break.

It's funny, but not. With my grandmother's existing mental issues, my dad (her SIL) is very frank with me about her dementia/paranoia, but Mom (her daughter) never says a word. I know my mom is worried about "turning out like my mom" but I find it interesting that she never tells me this stuff, where Dad does. At any rate, she's up to full "feeds" and so forth. ::yes::

I hope he's OK.

Just a quick update on my grandson. He fractured his thumb.:sad2: He is in a hard splint and needs to see the orthopedist tomorrow at the childrens hospital to get a cast. Hopefully from what my son said he will only be out of baseball for a couple of weeks. He is such a trooper that he told his dad he still wants to go to every game to cheer on the team and be a part of it. At least he will be out of the cast when the summer starts.

Have a good night.
