Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Mel convinced me to stay at the Boardwalk Villas next turkey day. :thumbsup2 Anyone have any tips or fun memories they'd like to share? popcorn::

I'm excited about all the food options and being able to boat or walk to two of the parks. :woohoo:

We stayed there a few years ago and we are staying there for 5 nights, this trip! I'm excited to go back! Love it there!

Janet---thinking about you again today---sometimes the day after the service is even tougher with all the family. We're here for you if you find a quiet computer or phone moment and need to vent/chat/or just chill!

Good Morning, peeps.

Long day yesterday....found out Waldo's got 2 arteries blocked at 90% and 1 blocked at 100%. He goes in for double bypass at 7 am today. I sense another long day ahead...... :guilty:

Could you some good mojo right about now. :teeth:

Janet, many hugs this week. How's your dad doing?

Thanks:hug: He is doing okay. I think the real test will be when he goes back to Florida!

I still haven't been eating much (which is really good - I've dropped 8 pounds this week.

Hope you are feeling better!

Oh, and did I ever tell you that we are indeed heading to St. Thomas for our anniversary?

THat's great.:goodvibes

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Janet

Thank you

Honestly I'm so boring, I don't have much to post. Yesterday I played golf and I won the comp :thumbsup2 And we think Jess came 2nd in her division so she'll be chuffed! Today I spent tidying, ironing etc then went to my friends this afternoon for a chat which was nice!

Congrats to you and Jess.:goodvibes

Thinking of you today, Janet..

Thank you.

Good morning everyone:goodvibes Yesterday was hard, but we all made it through it. Now it is just trying to get everything back to normal (whatever that is:rolleyes:)

Today my brother is taking dad to handle some banking matters and then we will see him tomorrow and Sunday. He heads back to Florida on Monday. Not sure how long he will stay there. We will wait and see and he will come up for Christmas this year.

Jim and I are going to do a bunch of running around today (stuff that hasn't gotten done in the last two weeks) and then SCouts is tonight. Jimmy has a sleepover tomorrow and Soccer on Sunday. In between all of that is when we will go see my dad.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Good thoughts for Waldo:hug::hug::hug:

Wanted to drop off some love, good thoughts and pixie dust to those in need!

Anyone heard from T yet?

So KC's new job- it's actually with the company he left 6 months ago, but in a different department. This is a department that has a big budget, lots of overtime and doing something he really likes- getting hands on. He will be at different venues in NYC all the time doing the internet and setting up internet connections and stuff. He is also going to be a part of developing a new system only for their company.

He is really excited. He has hated being tied to the desk these past months, just punching keys all day. The drawback is that there isn't any good insurance until 3 months from now, maybe none if the coverage hasn't changed. The pluses are no weekends and he's thrilled to be doing it. if he's happy we'll figure the rest out.

My FIL's surgery went great! he is already rehabbing and feeling great. he's superman, i swear. He asked for a burger right after the surgery! The worst part of the visit was KC's mom not even going to the hospital with us. I really can't imagine not being there. And once we got back she nagged and yelled and didn't leave him alone. I went home the next day because of the kittens but i really needed to get outta there!

KC came home yesterday but is back for 2 more 12 hour days of work before his Sunday off THEN the new job has some side work for him on his days off this week. At least its only 3 weeks till he makes the official change and we can get to some normal hours.

Anyways sorry that was longer than i expected it to be. I hope everyone is doing great...I am insanely jealous of all the people tweeting from WDW- i am really missing it!

happy weekend!

Jo- We had a major hail storm come through this summer. I now have a new roof, siding touch ups and freshly stained play center and deck. (Insurance covered all of the damage!). Did you have any damage?
No we don't get them very big here, it was just a shock :rotfl2:

It looks like I might be able to be a tag along on a trip in March. DH will be working all week... could I do a train ride and come see you one day?
Of course, I'd love that, we'll have to see where is easiest to meet :thumbsup2

Plus I could visit Jo, if she wants me. :)
Of course I will, don't be daft  Although it is quite a distance from me! Leeds is quite industrial so you need to make sure you find a cute village to live in :thumbsup2

Sounds good, re your back a memory foam bed completely cured mine, they sell the foam toppers here which are meant to be good :thumbsup2

Ellie and her friends were a bit noisy so I had to tell them off at about 12.30am. David had to work today and couldn't sleep so he woke me to go and tell them to be quiet :sad2: Thanks D :rotfl2: We then went to the mall where we went to see Vampires Suck and yes they do, OMG it was bad, so bad that half way through I left D and the girls and went to the shops :rotfl2: We then had a nice lunch and did a little shopping :thumbsup2

Whilst I was walking round the shops I came to a conclusion that I really like expensive stuff and I don't want to buy cheap anymore as it's often tat. But I'm also far too tight to buy the expensive stuff so I just don't buy :rotfl2: See I am the dream wife :rotfl:

It also made me realise how close Christmas is and that I need to get shopping

Hi guys -

Per T's last update about an hour ago, Waldo made it through just fine, they successfully removed him from the bypass machine and were closing him back up. I believe she said he'll be in CCU for 2 days, then another unit, and likely back home on Mon. Amazing, isn't it?!

Sending TONS of good thoughts for an easy recovery for Waldo :goodvibes

Hi All....

Just wanted to let you all know Waldo's doing fine. We spoke with the surgeon and he told us they ended up having to do a quadruple bypass! He told us how lucky Waldo was to have caught it just in time, as he would not have survived a heart attack.:eek:

He should be off the ventilator tonight and then sitting up tomorrow morning. If all goes well, he'll be out of CCU on Sunday and possibly home Monday, if not then Wednesday. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your good thoughts, friends.! :worship:

Great news T:goodvibes Sending lots of :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes and :hug::hug: to Waldo and all of you!

+++++++++++++++++++++++

ACtually got alot done today. Took care of a banking issue for my dad, went to the Franklin Institute and activated our memebership, went to Michaels and got the stuff we needed for scouts tonight, and then almost had a stroke when I got a call from the after school program.

Apparently the teacher dismissed Jimmy's class late and they missed their bus. They put them on another bus and no one called the after school program to tell them that they were on a different bus so no one was waiting for them at the bus stop, which is on a four lane road:scared1::scared1::scared1: then a walk up the hill and into the after school program by themselves. Luckily one of the after school teachers was in the yard and saw them coming :faint: Needless to say we were not happy and Jim called the school to find out what happened! We are still waiting for answers:mad:

Tomorrow Jimmy is having a sleepover with his friend Gordon and then we will be going over to Jersey to see my dad.

Sunday is Soccer and then back over to see dad after that - He leaves on Monday:sad1:

This will be a crazy week. I can just iomagine what my desk looks like after 2 weeks:eek: Wednesday is Shawmont Night at McDonalds. THe school warns a percentage of the profits from 4pm to 8pm, and the kids get to wear their Halloween costumes:thumbsup2

Thursday I am having dinner with Mo:yay::yay::yay:

ANd then next weekend is Halloween. THis month has just flown by:eek:

Have a good one all:hug:

Hi again!

I am in complete awe of my Dad. I cannot believe how wonderful he looks! His color is amazing, he's up walking, talking, laughing. I am so grateful! :goodvibes He's still in CCU, at least until Sunday - but he's doing marvelously.

Thanks again for all your good thoughts!

I took a pic of him that I'll post on FB.:thumbsup2

Great News T! :thumbsup2

Janet- I'm glad you are keeping yourself busy. I bet your neck of the woods is gorgeous in the fall!

I warn, it hit me hard when things calmed down. Let it out when it does, my friend. We are all here for you. :grouphug:

___________
I worked my little gap job today and then did some shopping. I'm going to attempt to make Tink a replica of a disney outfit that she out grew... just without sewing. I bought that adhesive iron on stuff. Any suggestions?

Tomorrow is WDW project day for me! :cloud9:

OMG! :rotfl2: Is anyone watching SNL? They are talking about trampolining!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's raining here, so a movie would be perfect!

================

Today is the 3 year anniversary of loosing my "mom". It's hard to believe that she's been gone for 3 years. I remember the first year, I was so mad on this day. I'm no longer mad. I just plain miss her. A lot.

I'm off to go keep myself busy. I find the best thing I could do is do something that make me happy. Disney Crafts here I come!

Hey all. Hope you are all well. Last night JImmy had a sleepover with his friend Gordon and then Jim and I headed over to my cousins house. We all (my brothers too) just hung out and spent time with my dad, my aunt, and my cousins. I think dad was just happy we were all together:goodvibes We also watched the Phillies lose:sad2:

Today we picked Jimmy up at his friends, went to soccer, and then headed over to spend a couple of hours with dad. He is leaving tomorrow, so I wanted Jimmy to see him before he left:goodvibes I think at this point he is looking forward to going back. His arthritis is bothering him with the "cold" (It was 65 today:rolleyes:). I think he is going to be fine:thumbsup2

Back to work and school for us tomorrow. Busy week too. Wednesday is School Night at McDOnald's Halloween Party. Friday is Scouts. Saturday we will carve pumplkins, and then SUnday is Halloween.

So what are all the kiddos for Halloween this year? Jimmy is Darth Vader!
