Congrats on the kittens also. I had a Minnie Cat after a trip to Disney when my kids were young and a Shamu the Killer Cat. My next kitten was going to be Tinkerbelle but I have to wait a bit. I have to full grown ones right now - Simba and then my DH's cat Tip. He has no imagination and all pet naming duties have been taken from him.

Morning all. I hope everyone is doing well.

Not much here. I leave in 9 days so I am getting in excited and motivated mode now.

I didn't want to post this yesterday but I am going to be an aunt. My baby brother (he's 4 years older than my son) is going to be a dad. His wife is due in April around my DGS and dad's birthdays. He is already planning for diaper changes. He asked my mom what kind she used and was amazed that she used cloth. Pampers were just being marketed and he was severely allergic. He then asked her, "How do you use them?" Mom of course described the procedures of rinsing, diaper pails and washing. My brother was disgusted by it all. He responded with a rather definite "I don't think so." He uses the sink for personal hygeine and his clothes go in the washer so diapers aren't permitted there. They are going to raise a neurotic child. They have a dog that's anorexic and they make her food and feed her by hand. She isn't allowed "real" dog food. I can't wait to see them with a baby.

We had a busy but nice weekend. Went to a haunted house amusement park deal Saturday night. Did our last day on the boat on Sunday, then D had to fly yesterday, so I wound up in Boston with the kids to see his step-sister, who was visiting her son (who went to college in Boston, graduated, and stayed) and our other step-niece who is now in grad school in Boston.

We went to the Museum of Science, which was nice, had lunch, and came home.

I had tennis this morning, then went to the Apple store at the mall to try to figure out what on earth's happening with my phone - I upgraded the operating system back at the beginning of the summer, and it's not worked right since. I was told to come home, do a total wipe and restore, and if that doesn't work, they "may" be able to give me a replacement. I'm out of warranty, of course, but as we're all pretty sure it was their recommended OS upgrade that caused the issues...

The boys have karate tonight, then their town rec basketball tryouts. I think D will be home to take them to that.

I HATE MY FAILY

My brothers scheduled the service without asking me on the day that Jimmy has a doctor's appointment that it took us 3 months to get the appointent. Apparenly their kids sports and work schedles are more important than my kis health...
