GOING TO DISNEY........THURSDAY!!!!!!

DH surprised the kids with a quick last minute trip for the summer as they are missing Disney and cant wait till our big trip in Oct.

OMG , I have soooo much to do. Just placed a garden grocer order and was able to get some ADR's.
Lets hope I have enough time to pack.

How wonderful. And I can honestly say that I am jealous.

I am home alone for the next couple of days while my husband took the kids up to the Adirondacks with his family. I get to stay home and watch our dog (our dog sitter fell through) and I refused to put him in a kennel. So, now at least I can DIS guilt free...

Hi all. I tried to post from the hospital while there with my mom but I couldn't pick up a wireless network. It turned out you need to push a button on the computer to turn on the wireless internet. If only Rose had been around to tell me how it worked. So out of desperation and boredom I started to write a book critiquing the meals from the cafeteria. If only I had had my camera to take pics. I could turn it into a coffee table book.
So all is well with my mom now. She went in and they put a stint(sp?) in her heart. They said it was a 75% blockage and caused a big part of her heart to not work. This explains her breathing problems and hopefully this is the end of it all.

Glad your mum is doing better. (See Jo - I tried a little British here to make up for the DAFT word)

The only place avail was Port Orleans-Riverside.It looks real cute. I requested "mansion area" as the bayou looked to grassy/lots of tree(we have bad allergies). We have never stayed anywhere with no monorail so I think we will cab it to Grand Floridian then monorail from there. It is such a pain to fold 2 strollers and get on a bus with 2 kids in off season, I cant imagine doing it in July.Keeping fingers crossed it works ok.

WTH!?!?! Here I have to wait 28 more non-fuzzy days you just swoop in and take off to Disney on a whim?!?!?! Shenanigans! Shenanigans!!!

On another surprise note--I was talking to my SIL and she said "guess what--we're going back to Disney over Labor Day"
Now--we just went there with her over Easter (note picture of small child in my signature--that is Hannah, her DD). This is Hannah's 6th trip (3 in 12 months) and she is 4 1/2! I think it is wonderful--yes, I'm a little jealous!

She said they got ASM for $59/night, but no free dining. Sounds like a good room rate to me and they have stayed at the resort before.

She wants me to ask on the boards if anyone know good ticket deals (better than AAA).
I did tell her to grab some ADRs cause I think she's in the middle of free dining, right??

Anyway--since surprises happen in groups of 3, I'm anxiously awaiting MY surprise trip!

She's driving--I'll check out that site--I have never used it before but then we often get "disney meeting" tickets if it's a business trip. I told her she should consider an annual pass at the rate they are going! But I did encourage lots of trips before Hannah starts school next year--it gets harder!

National Marble's Tournament


The National Marbles Tournament has been held every year since 1922 with the exception of 1944 & 1945 due to World War II. It was first held in Atlantic City, moved to Wildwood in 1937 then to Asbury Park in 1949. In 1960 The Tournament returned to Wildwood where it has been held every year since, the year 2003 marked the 80th Anniversary.
Boys and Girls ages 6 to 15 compete in separate Divisions to see who will become the 'King' & 'Queen' of Marbles and take home the $2,000.00 Scholarships as well as impressive Trophies and other items. All the kids that come here to compete are winners of various City, Regional or State tournaments.

& yes a friend of mine is The Marble Man & he has your Lost Marbles all saved & stored in a Jar

This is a 1st for him but he said now that the kiddies are getting older we can do things like this. What he DOESNT UNDERSTAND is this is Disney and I need to PLAN,PLAN,PLAN. I did get some good ADR's. We havent been in high season since before kids...this will be interesting and just maybe I will do a TR to allow everyone to see our craziness

This time we didnt have enough points for a res(not that it mattered) but got a fab deal with our annual pass rates. Never did Port Orleans but it looks cute, Im looking forward to checking it out. That was our ONLY choice in all Disney. Like it is a busy time or something

You will Love POR it is the Nicest Moderate Disney Has!!! it has 2 great Pools & alot of walking trails & best of all You can catch a Boat to DTD!!!
