Well, mainly DISing a lot...but starting to hint to DH.
His parameters:
-next trip is to the beach in Destin (done booked that for August, open for suggestions for activities,etc)
-no more spring break trips
-no Christmas trips
-no trips when parks are too crowded
-wants to have trip when we can use the pool
-wants to stay on monorail at least some of time (YES--I have never done that)

Any suggestions?? I don't know when to book it. I have a daughter entering high school so it will be hard to take her out of class.

Maybe very end of August before school starts? I feel your pain because we have the same dilemma, but oldest DS plays soccer, which starts in early August so the late summer trips are out for us too! Do you have any wacky days off? Our schools get 2.5 days in late October for teacher conventions. You could really miss the half day and still get 4-5 days at Disney. Only other option would be after New Years (if your schools go back later than ours!), Thanksgiving (which would be crowded, but not like Spring Break), or Feb break if you get that (still crowded).

Add to that "not in the summer" and you have my list. Luckily, the kids have an October break that we are trying out this year. They also have a Feb. break but last time it was pretty crowded.

How about jsut after Thanksgiving - would you be able to take DD out of school for 2 days? Thanksgiving itself can be busy, but it dies down big-time afterward.

Also, when does she get out for summer? Early June's a good time - lower crowds and plenty hot enough for the pool. Possibly Labor Day Weekend? Same deal.

Pools in Jan.? Depends on your level of cold-tolerance... days can be as high as 80, but they can also be as low as 40's, even lower at night. Unfortunately, winter here is something of a carpshoot, but average is highs in the low 70's and lows in the 40's.

Thanksgiving: That day through the following Sat. are busy, though nothing like Spring Break or summer. The Sun. just after and all that week is really quiet!

ok i need a bit of help and maybe someone here can help me... my grandma got my mom a tinkerbell keychain type thing in DL when we went last month and my brother lost it and my mom is super sad.. so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could order it online or something... its the one that has like the mountain climbing hook and a material thing on it that basically makes it long and on the material thing there is like a plastic tinkerbell.. and its purple... anyone know of a site I might be able to find it on?? I tried ebay but no luck...

I am posting this on a number of thread so hopefully someone can help!! usually my mom wouldnt fret over something like this but our family is going through alot and it makes it easy to snap over the smallest things..

We're fine, thanks for caring, it was about 30/40 miles away, it didn't do much damage but we never get earthquakes so everyone is panicking a bit!

Really?? Do you know how strong it was? We get them here in California all the time. I love 'em. Except for the really strong ones that make all the transformers explode. Now those are pretty intense!

It was about 4.7 probably really calm for you guys Only 1 person hurt thank goodness but apparently over 300 gas leaks so lets hope they get that sorted before there are any more casualties! And Tracy you like earthquakes : you are a mad girl aren't you
