I guess I missed everyone!

I ended up passing out this afternoon for a while and when I woke up my internet was down! It took until KC got home (around 9) to come back up. Man was I bored!

KC brought home some Burger King for dinner as I didn't feel like even heating up leftovers from yesterday...how lazy is that!?

Anyways off to play some Diner Dash before bed.

slate-- i have the same problem. i brought out the garbage bag last week and it worked awesome with my dd7.

i was having the same problem with my dd3 tonight. he just keeps on dumping toys all over the house and i'm tired of picking them up. ealier today he kicked over the lego bin and i sat in my room for 30 min with him until he finally picked them up. then tonight , i was cleaning the kitchen and he had thrown all the books on the floor in dd7's room and dumped the legos in my room and had my makeup all over the floor. i actually sat on my floor again and wouldn't let him leave until he picked up the toys. he picked up some, but then kept whining and crying. well, i'm not sure who won, bc we both fell asleep on the floor!! :lmao:

but, i would just stay peristent. my 2 older kids finally understand i'm serious about the room cleaning and they do it. just keep on them and youll eventually win. :goodvibes

Hi all!!

Jo - Nice to have you back! By the looks of that pick you probably could have stayed a while longer huh.

Slate - Sorry about the kiddos. I hope you are feeling better.

Rosie - Loved the FOCKER definitions. February should be a fun time to go.

Janet - The ornaments are adorable.
Doug and I loved Holiday World. It is very clean. They have kid stations for lost children. They give you a bracelet that you write your cell phone on. If your child and you get separated, they can just call you. It dosen't open until May. The website:Holiday World I'm like Jodi. It's a long drive for you.

TE - Congrats on your cousin's marriage! Hawaii would be wonderful.

Lessa - I got your card today - Thanks! Sorry I missed the hub-bub on your TR. I would have liked to chimed in.

V - I'm sorry about Leo and your schooling. Dang I wish I could hit that lottery.

Jodi - I was glad to see 40 degrees on Tuesday. The wind was terrible though. Hey, give us some pics of the tree, purty please. I'm enjoying seeing everyone's since I don't get one this year.

MizDiz - Dieting gives me a headache. Seriously. I get off sugar and caffeine and it throws my whole system into a convulsion. You keep Mr Diz in line. We don't want to hear that he got too active and messed himself up again! I'm glad he is feeling that good though!

Mel - I had that breakfast/dinner craving the other night too! Must be the time of the year.

Rachel - I'm so sorry I wasn't on last night. Usually I'm on about that time catchin' up on TRs, but I was so pooped from running around during the day. Plus I didn't get much sleep the night before. Doug got mad 'cause I fell asleep on the couch. I think he had something else in mind - oops!

JV - How'd the shopping go?

It looks like my cards are getting to everyone about the same time - You are all very welcome!!!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I got a lot done Tuesday. Ordered my MIL a table centerpiece for her birthday and Christmas. Got my hair cut. Hate it! I always hate it at first. I want it to grow out. It's taking forever. The chick that did it was a hoot though. It's a good thing I didn't need to be anywhere. She was slow. Bought some shoes and a moc turtleneck with gold fleck in it to go with an outfit I got last week.
I'm working tonight, Thursday and Friday. I want to go out to eat Saturday and then go on our annual pilgrimage to the farmhouse that is decorated to the hilt. I'll try to get some pics and video. I'd like to see 'The Day The Earth Stood Still'. Maybe do that Sunday.:confused3 We really need to get things done on that basement. AHHHHHH! There needs to be 3 of me.

Doug had an MRI done on Monday. We go to Indy on th 18th for his check up. He has been doing better and better with each treatment. He will start #5 at the end of this month. I asked him to see if his mom wanted to go with us. She said yes. We plan on swinging by Trader Joe's before we head back home. I have to work that night. It will be my last night of work until Jan 3rd.:cool1:

Ok enough.

I'll check back in here tomorrow. Be good kids!!!

Hey Kristel! I got your card too, by the way. A few days ago. Still haven't gotten to mine. In fact, DH brought the tree up this evening and we realized that the screw to hold the tree in the base is stripped and won't keep the tree from tipping over, so I didn't even get that done like I wanted to. Oh well, another trip to Target tomorrow.

Let me know the next time you guys will be in Indy. We should plan to do dinner or something!

I'm exhausted! My house is almost ready to host 16 women for a sit down meal tomorrow for our Bunko Christmas party. It is a lot of work making room to seat 16. I have 10 in the dining room and 6 in my living room. I set up my dinette as a buffet. I usually have buffets in my foyer, but I have a 10 foot Christmas tree eating it's space. :)

I am planning that we will eat salads at our tables, then as they are ready they can get up and get their own dinner. Does that sound corny?

I bought beautiful napkins, which are paper. I was just not interested in ironing all of those cloth napkins! I fought enough with the iron and the table clothes:headache: . I am serving turkey, pomegranate martini's and pomegranate cocktails. All other items are bring brought by the rest of the girls.

Jo- I LOVE the picture! That is absolutely amazing!

Kristel- You are a strong lady, dealing with all you have to.

JenJen- What is this I read... you got a spanking for standing up for one of your Focker friends. ??? NO WAY! Not you! Neva!

Dawn- Shaking the computer anymore?:thumbsup2

Slate= Seriously we did see a few drink men in EP. I kid you not. :scared1:

As usual, I'm late. :thumbsup2

Slate has already gotten alot of good advice. This is what we did, though only once or twice as it worked SO well: I told both boys that since they obviously DIDN'T care about the things they were throwing all over their rooms and on the floor, that I would REMOVE one item every day until it was picked up.
I would NOT tell them what it was. I would not give it back.

For some reason this struck a MATCH under them. They couldn't stand that something they really really loved might get taken. So, they cleaned up. No problems since then. The only real problem we have now is that my DS11 wants to save EVERYTHING he gets. He's getting better about that though.

And, JMHO but, I'd have NO issue telling those Grandparents etc. that you are in TOY overload! They don't need 10,000 toys!!! Tell the Grandparents that you will only accept toys on Xmas OR Bday. NOT Both. On the other holiday they have to give something else, book gift certs, mcd's coupons, money to sign up for an activity, a savings bond (thats what we do)...etc.

Hope this helps. It did for us.

((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))))))

So, today I plan on getting all the cards signed. I addressed all of them last night. YAY! I have to see Dr. Seigle today for the eye. It is healing well, so I hope it's a good visit. You never know though! :sad2:

After school I have to take SD shoe shopping (dang those HUGE feet!) and Gus wants to check out snowboards. So, busy afternoon here.

What are you guys doing?

MEL:banana:

Mary - Glad DH is doing better. How longas he been at his job...I get 25 days V a year, but I have been here almost 20 years :faint:
They went to a Paid Time Off bank this year and he only gets 18 days for sick and vacation days.
Oh believe me S'Late I was picking it up :rotfl: I kept saying Hi my name is Jo with an American accent :rotfl:
Were you saying, "Hi, I'm Jo with an American accent." Or were you saying with an American accent, "Hi, I'm Jo."???;)
Florida's not the South. It's it's own separate entity!
I agree. I remember when I was about 15, I was buying something in a store in Florida and the girl asked, "Do you want a bag?" only she made the A a long A and I couldn't understand her. She also said it really fast.
PM me rachel...I'll tell ya what Jen said:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I miss all the drama
I know you're shocked...but I'm sort of opinionated. ;)

No way!!!!!! ;)

Don't worry, there is a certain poster who snaps at people all the time but as soon as someone snaps back she reports them and has their posts deleted. She tried to tell me that I don't know the birthday of my twins.
Spill the beans - who is the poster?
There's a thread about the discontinued sign at Coral Reef. Someone posted that it was only for YOAMD and I stated that was just an excuse that the sign was avail in 2006 and that we had it 9/16/06 for my twins b-day. She replied "I don't doubt that, but is it possible you were there after 9/30/06?" Huh? I replied several times and all were deleted and her post was altered. The diver sign was avail long before YOAMD; I did a search and found posts about it from 2/06.
Crazy.

I lost my blackberry down the crapper.
I didn't think you were serious until I read on.
Maybe if you use it while taking a shot of vodka, the germs will disappear.
Hey Ya'll. Today I'm a little bit country. ;)
Hey - wait a minute!!! That's not country.
I'm so mad I missed the tiff on Lessa's TR. I read along, but haven't had a chance to post and now I'm mad I missed the drama. Someone PM me the gory details! Please!
I've read too, but I missed the drama. Someone PM me, too.
What set her off - the butt shots?

I've been trying very hard to get caught up, but I have to go now.

I'm going to a Scholastic Book sale that is supposed to be a huge clearance sale with great prices.

It is chucking down here! :thumbsup2
"Hi, I'm Mary and I speak British."

Now, when they hear me get out the trash bag and shake it open, they move lightening fast!
.

AH... Jodi uses My Method.:rotfl2: NEVER have I seen a child move as fast as Sarabeth did the day the( "brand new") Outside Trash Can came in the house... went up the stars heading for her room. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well it finally got up to 50+ degrees for the first time since the very first of November, but it's POURING:headache:

Christmas Cards are going in the mail today, I have two Penguins in the front yard and that may be it. :rolleyes1
No .. I'm serious. Scott did not get my beautiful Wreaths from the storage shed... and it's 30 minutes away:mad:
SO I am disgusted.

I pretty much said the kid's tree downstairs will be it. The Stress this year has really gotten to me.Usually I "FIX" the kids breakfast... today I told both of them ... "Frosted Flakes".... THAT'S IT !!

I need a break... but I can't go anywhere. :sad2:

I do not even know for sure WHERE the tree lots are this year.( I still say it's too late for a tree... (especially when you take them down the 26th of December) I haven't been out of the house enough to know. I just know there are NONE between my House and Wal mart. and There are two between my house and Church... right in the shadow of the church:headache: . Don't want to mess in THAT BUSY ROAD.

Carrie... I'll take that drink now... any left over 's ???:guilty: make it triple strength. :sad2: .

"Secret Santa" and my "Ornament" will go out on Friday. Sorry to keep you Ladies waiting.

That's what I remember.. without coffee.

 I got my hand slapped for posting on one of our TR's. After someone else was rude. If you've read it, you know what I'm talking about.

I missed the whole thing, but I am sorry about that. :)

Lessa, you know I love you, too.

CE: Hello! :wave2: Missed you too!

Hiya, Mel!

I have to pick up kiddos in about an hour. Then I am going to try to harrass them into letting me take their picture. I want a NEW one for the Xmas cards, but you know how crabby kids can be about POSING. :confused3 I think I might be able to talk them into it though. (I'm going to bribe them!)

Ugh, do I ever... The boys and I talked all the way home from yoga about how if they smiled and cooperated and didn't goof off, our card pictures could be done quickly. 45 whiny minutes later, I got a photo that I had to crop to use. Fantastic. It's not bad, but we never did get a "perfect" one. Oh, well. They're ready though - I had them printed up at Walgreen's and just need to go get them! :thumbsup2

:So, I was distracted by B telling me what to do (Do all tweens do this? I want to flip out when she bosses me! ), and I wasn't paying enough attention. :headache:  :guilty:

I'm sorry, Dawn, but at least you didn't kill the car.

Don't worry, there is a certain poster who snaps at people all the time but as soon as someone snaps back she reports them and has their posts deleted. She tried to tell me that I don't know the birthday of my twins.

WHAT??????????

*******************************************
OK, I only caught up through the end of page 228 (that's my reminder to myself.) I have a tennis class this morning, so I can't go any further right now. I'll be back later, though.

Oh, but quickly... D had to fly to London this morning, leaving the house at 3:00. I had my alarm set and everything, but I had some trouble getting back to sleep after he got up.

I truly don't remember if I heard the alarm and thought I hit "snooze" but hit "reset" (I purposely give myself one "snooze" with the alarm time - I can't just jump out of bed.) or if the alarm never went off for some weird reason, but my neighbor, thankfully, called at 7:15 needing to borrow a bottle of water for her son's field trip. That was about 20 minutes after I get up, normally, and I was so happy she called! Phew!

It was a very, very, hectic morning. Then I remembered it's trash day, too. :headache:

OK, off for tennis. I'll be back! :grouphug:

Well, we're headed out to pick up a new tree stand this morning. Then, home to try to manage putting the tree in the stand. I'm hoping I can do this by myself so that I don't have to wait until late tonight to start decorating. I've got "cookie training" tonight for DD7's Brownie troop. Yep, you read it here, it's almost Girl Scout Cookie time! Actually, our council is trying something new this year. They're allowing the girls to start taking orders for "friends and family" on December 15th and then publicly on Jan 2nd. We'll see how that works.

I'm planning on getting my ornament and Secret Santa gift out tomorrow as well. And I'll start working on my cards sometime soon....:sad2:

I'm going to a Scholastic Book sale that is supposed to be a huge clearance sale with great prices.

Books are my gift of choice. :thumbsup2 No one can have too many books.

Reid is feeling much better today but since he had a fever yesterday, still can't go to school, so Tantie will be busy all day. ;) Who knew Motrin worked so well? It's supposed to be chucking here all day too, with tornado watches. But 75 degrees.

Jodi, and anyone else, if you don't mind shipping, I'll be happy to order some cookies. :)

I handle it by ignoring their posts and pming the person who was flamed !!I figure they enjoy the controversy of the public threads soooo I don't give it to them !!All who I have pm'd hsve been happy to hear my private support!!
