There is a strange wind Blowing right now.. and it's an EVIL WIND :rotfl2:

It's all that snow and coldness. Makes people crazy because it's not warm anymore. ;)

When a Cat decides someone needs to get up... THEY WILL make sure that you get up..

Yes, and when I didn't, he started attacking the toilet paper.

I'm off to Toys r us. They are having a big AM sale,

You're a brave woman. I don't like to go in there on a regular day. :scared:

Very stylish until Edward Scissorhands got ahold of him!
:rotfl2:

Hi all. I couldn't post this this morning because I had to occupy my brain. But a tornado possibly passed within 5 miles of my children this morning (they are with my dad this week).

http://www.wral.com/

I'm not sure how it hit a town 15 miles to the south and one 10 miles to the north. The report said a house lost a roof in Wilson at a location that was within walking distance for me as a child.

We had some strong wind here around 2AM. All the leaves were blown off my Crepe Myrtle.

Wow, SLate! Glad the kiddos are okay. I hate living in tornado alley!

The weather here is so nasty today. It's cold and rainy. I wish it would just turn to snow. I think it's gotta be close, temperature wise. I'm still in my jammies though. Doing laundry, cleaning the family room, organizing my scrapbooking stuff.

By the way, Katt, I think T was just as guilty as the rest of us last night and her name didn't get mentioned....:rolleyes1 Love ya, T!

So, DH worked on the ambulance all night last night, but actually only got one call. So, he slept all night. That's good for us, since he normally sleeps all day after working a night shift. He's in the basement building a server for a client of ours. I just went through the toys in our family room and am seriously considering making our family room a "toy-free" zone after Christmas. That may just be my post-Christmas job -- adding shelves to the playroom in order to move all the toys upstairs. What do you think??

CE- Way back, a comment on your MN family... Are they the 'up' nordth type?

No, it was the crazy married/divorced/remarried/possibly swinging "friends" we knew when we lived in TX. They live in MN now. I am unsure as to exactly where.

My family's in IL. :thumbsup2

I hate tornadoes.

A quick read-through, as I need to get in the shower if we're going to Target before getting my aunt.

Angela - I put my cheap glasses in the dishwasher and they do fine. I wouldn't do the crystal.

Ok, off to shower, go to Target and the airport, and likely dinner. See you when I can!

Wow! You turn your back for a day, and 15 or so pages pass you by.:faint: And, it looks like I missed the wine and Spanish interlude last night; definitely a bummer. :sad1:

I was just popping in to see how far behind I was, and now I'm :scared:. We're having a pretty busy Saturday. Just got home with DD8 from a birthday party at a Build-a-Bear. I decided to introduce her to Godiva truffles on the way out of the mall; I think she may have a new favorite food. :cloud9: Our Disney store is across the from the Build-a-Bear and has a sign up for 25% off everything in the store this week. I went in to see if I could get a good price on the new Tinkerbell movie, but they did not have the Blu-ray version. :sad2: Thought I'd mention the sale in case anyone was interested. :thumbsup2

I'm heading out again in a little while, so I'll probably be radio silent later today and tonight. :guilty: Maybe Mrs. T will drop in while I'm out. Maybe I should open up a bottle of her favorite wine before I head out. :drinking1

Catch y'all later!

Latin Jazzercise.

That sounds nice. :)

My BIL and I are both batching it, so we're having dinner tonight. I told him to make sure Reid was still awake when I came over since I haven't seen him in a week. :goodvibes

Oh, thanks Angela! I was confuzzled.

Well, it DID sound nice but we decided on McCormick and Schmick's instead! I am having a serious seafood withdrawl....

Have fun tonight with BIL and Reid.

Mel- Mmnnmmm I LOVE PF CHANGS! Will you eat some chicken lettuce wraps for me?!
Not tonight JenV. Sorry honey!

Mel - I know you've got a killer Banana bread recipe - wanna share with me? I have a bunch of bananas that are over ripe and DH asked me to bake some bread. I don't know what he's thinking. :confused3

Yes, yes I do!
Here it is:
Banana Bread (via Mel by way of a girl in Peoria, IL named Michelle who I met once but stole her recipe....)

1/2 Cup butter or margarine, soft (her recipe says shortening but i like butter)
1 Cup Sugar
3 bananas (or 1 Cup) mashed up
dash of nutmeg
1 3/4 Cup Flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then bananas and nutmeg.

Add dry ingrediants (I usually add 1 cup flour, then mix the rest of the ingrediants with the 3/4 cup of flour and add that to insure it's well combined)

Grease a standard bread pan (i use Pam) and add batter.

Bake at 350 for about 1 hour.

I have made a million recipes, fancy ones and crumb top ones etc. This VERY basic one is the BEST!

It is so nasty outside. I went to Target for some supplies for Bob's trip. I could not find a single parking spot ANYWHERE! It is raining, snowing, sleeting and WINDY!!! I had to walk about 1/4 mi to get to the store, my umbrella blew INSIDE out!!! It's terrible. Really.

I think the temp is hovering around freezing so it's getting slippy outside (that's for Jo..) and it's now mostly snow! I hope it doesn't get worse, dinner is about 30 mins away and I won't want to drive down there if it does.

Tonight when we get back, SD is going to his friend's house for a sleepover. This is the friend that he's having those problems with. He is trying to do a sleepover there because that was one of his triggers for his panic attacks. I don't want to discourage him because it's a goal he set for himself, but I'm worried. :guilty: I want him to push himself to do things and go outside his comfort zone but I'm so anxious that he'll relapse. Keep fingers crossed girlies!

Wow. Watching the tornado damage on TV. Scary scary!
Glad you guys are all ok!

I heard on the news here that a child was killed. :guilty: Those must have been BAD STORMS. Glad you and the Kiddo's are safe.

BTW.. Saw that Angela got the Mousesavers link for you.

By the way, Katt, I think T was just as guilty as the rest of us last night and her name didn't get mentioned....:rolleyes1 Love ya, T!
Oh Great you just blew the STING operations.. She and Angela were both on the short list...
Or should I say.. "Westcoast Sugarbaby" and "Disney Cosmo".. ( respectfully)
Oh...... and lets not forget Carrie aka... " Shaken... not Stirred" annie.

So what if Red Lobster isn't real seafood to you? I liked it. :snooty: You guys probably think Taco Bell is Mexican food. :scared:

S'Late? I e-mailed you yesterday. I was going to do all of them, but now I think I'll only do the cards and the secret santa. I don't know why it didn't go through. :confused3

And Disney Cosmo kinda fits you...

Taco Bell is what I affectionately refer to as Mexi-can't food.

 Back from shopping. I got nada.

The same craft fair last year was teaming with people. No one this year. Just another sign that our economy is in the tanker. :sad2:

S'late...glad everyone is safe. I remember our tornado 1 1/2 years ago...and how scary it is.

Jeez guys! I thought you all slowed down on the weekends!
Slugs and bugs, wine and cookie dough. At first I thought someone was eating buckets of bugs! :scared1: I reread it and I'm fine now.

Mel- I am so happy about the news on your eye. The weather sux here too.
Janet - Good luck with the planning.
CE - Have you asked anybody else in the family how they feel about the gift thing. I bet you are not the only one that feels this way.
Dawn - :faint: :worship: on the Holiday schedule your facing.

Hi all you big talkers!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Leaving in a few to go out and eat with my brother and SIL. They want to do some bar hopping. Doug can't stay up past 9PM. He gets way too tired and crabby past that. If I'm having fun, I'll just send him home without me.

Adios mi chicas y chicos!

If you draw a straight line between the locations of the two deaths, it crosses right over my dad's house. I am almost numb.

Not me and I live in the least "mexican" area around.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Especially in Puerto Rico! Yes, DH and I actually stopped at Taco Bell in San Juan last year and it was awful! Much worse than in the states. Gross!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: That's scary, Slate! Glad everyone is okay.
