My aren't we all the multi-lingual bunch tonight.

I am really excited about my May trip tonight even though it has been in the works tonight. I think the excitement of the pin code last week and then the offer released today has pushed me over the edge. I need Disney to release the May hours so I can start planning!

I need to think of some revenge for Erich, he is at it again, posting horrible photos of me in my TR. Maybe I should shave his eyebrows off while he sleeps.

I don't know if I should be around people tomorrow, but the kids have PE and volleyball at the park. I figure at least it's outside and no one should get my germs, right? I could sit in the car alone with a window cracked and growl when people come near my car...

He finally came home with me ... thanks to Kat and Z - they *ahem* liberated him from the Poly for me.

Good times. And the Tiki Man came courtesy of my friend Yani's Piña Colava (which is delicious @ the Poly). I ended up having to finish it off after my Lapu. :drink:

Well, it's nice to be back, but my kids get on a school bus in 8 hours. Maybe I should go to sleep. I can't promise daily checks on the thread like I used to, but I will definitely try to check in as often as I can.

Talking NotBob into a small (alone) trip for us....He's good with it, so now I have to pick dates. I would like to go in Feb. but we are ALL going the last week of Jan. Is that too soon? Maybe we should wait and go closer to May or April...hmmmmm....decisions decisions.....

Today I have to see Dr. Seigle for the eye. I am REALLY hoping that he'll take the stitches out of the lower lid today and maybe let me STOP the dialating drops so that i can MAYBE drive again.... I'm going stir crazy.

NotBob booked his flight to Japan last night. It was over 12K!!!! Isn't that nuts? I really don't want him to go. I know he has to, but since I barely can do anything by myself yet, I'm really scared.

Oh, and an SD update.... He is doing GREAT! He is going to try a sleepover at his friend, Zack's house tonight. That was one of his big issues when the panic attacks started so he has been working towards this goal for a while. Seems odd to even wish for something so EASY and SIMPLE but for him it's been so hard. Oh, and I forgot to tell you guys, last night SD told us that one of his friends (really we've known this kid since kindy but they sort of drifted apart as they got into upper grades and haven't hung out together at all since a couple of years ago when I said I thought he was a bad kid...) Got ARRESTED and EXPELLED for selling drugs at school.

This should shock me. It doesn't, sadly. The kid was really heading down the wrong path for a while and his parents (though nice enough) are so clueless. I feel really bad for the dad, because he's a really nice guy. The mom has her OWN issues...IYKWIM?

Anyway, SD was really dissppointed in the kid (though not surprised either) and mentioned to me that he's the only one of his group that hasn't tried pot. He's a good kid. He makes good decisions but SERIOUSLY???? What do I do with that info? I'm thrilled he shares with us (and I'm sure NARCing on his friends to their parents would end that...) so what do I do? I want to tell him, NO you can NEVER go over to their houses again....

Ugh. Teenagers are HARD!

Sometimes... you pull them ... but sometimes.. you leave them there.. and let them be the example... and hope it rubs off on them.
But you can only do that ... IF YOU REALLY KNOW that your kid can be trusted IN THOSE SITUATION.. to NEVER EVEN TOUCH IT.

Not sure what I would do... My gut says stay away.. because we want to protect our kids... but one day... we will not be there to protect... they go armed ONLY WITH OUR WORDS.

That's not so great. But as you said, it's good that he tells you. I don't think (of course, I'm not close to this yet) that I'd pull him away. Are these good kids in general? Just make sure he knows it's OK to keep talking to you, and reinforce never getting in cars with someone who's "tried" something. Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but at least he said they "tried" and not "they're regularly smoking." At any rate, since he makes good choices, if he gets too uncomfortable, he'll pull away on his own, I bet.
