Jo - Saw those Quality St chocolates today, they are charging $17 for them, I guess that is decent for imported chocolate. :confused3

Wait, huh? Why did they buy Wachovia? Or is that what put them in the hole? And why the heck do these companies and world leaders keep having emergency finance rescue meetings? Shouldn't the $ spent on airfare be put in the rainy day fund?

It's my understanding that between their own foreclosure issues and the $70 billion they just "bought" from Wachovia, PLUS the $72 billion in damages that Citibank is seeking, they are not freely loaning money. However, take that with about a pound of salt because a) we're talking about MY understanding of this and following some of this stuff is like trying to watch an opera, and b) it changes daily.

Again Bob and I think alike.
Oh, that's scary Angela! :goodvibes

I am super-busy, and in order to put my orders into the little computer things that we use, I have to win a video game first. I am too stressed, can't win the game, can't put in orders, every time I look I have more guests being seated... I call it my "Fri-ghtmare" because of being at Friday's.
When I worked at Friendly's I had this recurring dream that I forgot to bring a table their coffee, or their food. I'd have it over and over! Even years later I would have those dreams....UGH!

I remember when my DD got a jury summons and the twins were like 18 months and it said babysitting issues not an excuse .She freaked I told her take them with you you'll see how quick it is an excuse!!:lmao: Luckily she wasn't chosen to even show up, but I really wanted her and the Twins to show up to show them how stupid the no excuse for babysitting issues was !! I mean if they said childcare provided, but what do they think a SAHM is going to do with the kids !!
That is ridiculous! She should have brought them!

You know, I still dream that my high school gym teacher calls and tells me I didn't really pass PE and that I have to return to high school to finish. I have the teeth dreams, too. But now it's mostly alligators in my house.

What is everyone paying for gas these days? I've seen it here for $1.97.

Oh, Kate! That's a terrible dream! Ugh, high school gym class!!! :scared1: Why alligators?

I saw $1.83 on my drive to Dr. Seigle's today. That's pretty good!

My pants are too big and my shoes are too tight today. I'm feeling all askew. Hate that.
Aww. Sorry, V. Sorry on the refi too. It's really scary out there. I hope things start to turn around soon....

The concert was fun last night. I ate my first real meal in 2 weeks. Scallops, shrimp and asparagus. Yummy!
It was nice to get to talk to each other. Kirt's work stuff is so wacked out, I swear. He's not worried about his job, but he's having to cut people left and right. It's hard on him. He deserves a Disney trip!

Glad you had fun! I'm so jealous about the seafood. We haven't been out for seafood in AGES! Not that there's anywhere to get decent seafood in Michigan!
Bob's work is really messed up too. It's sad! :sad2:

Good Morning Peeps! :wave2:
Hi there, T! Hope to see you tonight too!

The girls and I are off to my Dad's tomorrow, Emma is driving us up there as we're going out for a meal and drinks with our cousins. Dad is taking the girls to a conker party whatever one of them is  Goodness knows what Em and I have in store as they've booked a minibus and everything and you know how much I drink

Ok, so WAS wondering wtheck is a CONKER...but then........

OMG I didn't realise you didn't know what a conker was :rotfl2: It's a school playground game where you try and smash each others conkers off of the string, lots of rapped knuckles Due to health and safety they have now banned it
Thanks JO! Oh, and Kristel for the actual definition!

The kids built a trebuchet with daddy. It's very low-key and it's a pot luck too.

Next weekend is crazy. We have C's drama show and A's bday party.

Ooh. My kids built one too. It flings marshmallows! Hope you have fun tonight!

Of course watch me be busy at work and not be able to participate in Spanish Focker Night 2

So I called Disney and they said I could use the pin!!!
party: :jumping1: :dancer: :cheer2: :dance3:

How could we have Spanish night without you ZED? LOL.

Yay for the code! I hope you're going in the Spring so I can see you!!!!

Gas - $2.27 is the cheapest I have seen here.

Hi Janet! Miss you!

The cookies turned out good. Not as good as the fully sugar/carb loaded ones. OK, though.

I'm going to sit back and watch some 'Lost' reruns. We live in a 'no locals' area. Our antenna is shot and I refuse to by one until the new digital gets into place. I don't get to watch a lot of the regular stuff. So I get to wait until it shows up on one of the satellite stations. Yeah Mel, that means that half the year I have to watch reruns of the Nascar too! It sucks!
COLOR]

Glad your cookies came out ok! I will be a very unhappy camper from next Monday until Feb. That's going to be a LONGGGGGG wait for the new Nascar year starts!!!!!

live from jury duty...and this olddddd public use pc.... so far nada zip zilch. I have sat and sat and sat some more. I only have to be here until 5pm so here's hoping thats it for me. The clerk told me to let them know about my back and my dr's note when i go in for questions.

hope everyone else is having a better day than me!

HI Kat! OMG, they have computers for you to use???? That's pretty neat. I hope you are done now. I bet you're anxious to get home and relax!

I. Have. Cramps.

And now back to your regularly scheduled Focker kvetching.

Sorry Gluv. That ain't no fun. I will commiserate with you on Monday....

I think he's kind of hot. :rolleyes1

Uh huh! ::yes::

Why do you think we all posted..."Hey Jo what's a conker"
Bwhwahahahahahaha! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

T-Rex (A must for any dinosaur fan, which Jimmy is!!!) - Hey Jo see if they will pay for you to go here when you are there. WE need a review;)

Garden Grill (DInner) so Jimmy can see Chip and Dale

50s Prime Time (Late lunch early dinner)

Coral Reef (Late Lunch early dinner)

Looks AWESOME Janet!

:Well, I got all my errands done and then some. :rolleyes1 I decided to head into the mall after I saw the news today that retail sales are way down, I thought I should do my part. Hit up Disney Store and bought the kids a couple of sweatshirts at 25% off, not great, but not bad. Oh and the manager told me they're going to open at Midnight on Black Friday and give guests an additional 20% off coupon! Gymboree was having big sale too, so I headed in there and bought the kids the cutest jammies! Oh and Evan some train underwear.

The mall is all decked out in Christmas crap. I'm just not into it. I see all this stuff and it makes me crabby that they're pushing Christmas already. :headache: Bah Humbug!

I'm with ya, T! Bah Humbug!
But, I appreciate you stimulating the economy anyway!!!!

DH is working on the ambulance all night, so I don't have to worry about him. So, look for me around 9pm eastern.
OK, ladies. I don't speak a lick of Spanish, so let's try to keep it to english tonight, okay? Or else I'll have to break out my German!

Might see you tonight, Jodi! Have a good evening!

Hi
Thanks for all your input on how you all Dis.
P says that I am just way to OCD and need to take a break now and then. The floors dont need to be mopped and vacuumed 2 or 3 times a day: (IMHO they do) and the closets dont need to be reorganized weekly. Im crazy what can I say
Off to Hockey AGAIN

NO THEY DON'T.
Once a day is fine. :rotfl2:
I feel ya. I'm ocd too.

Great News Ladies! (Oh, I forgot Mr. T again!!!!) Sorry Mr. T!!!

I saw Dr. Seigle today and he said I didn't do any lasting damage to the eye with all my RAKING. He did say NOT to do anymore of that though. One of the stitches did come out, and it is healing fine. He said that there is a SMALL chance (he said less than 2%) that he'd have to put a new stitch in but that's extremely unlikely. WHEW! I hope NOT!!! But, the great news part is that I don't have to go back to see him until Dec 5th. He said he knows that I'm anxious about Bob being gone, and that there isn't any reason why I should need to go there unless it's having an issue.
So, I go back to see him the day before Bob comes home from Japan. And I am THRILLED! It is finally feeling like we're moving toward the getting better part.

Bob is relieved because it's one less thing to stress about with this trip coming up. His job is really stressful right now and I hated that he was worrying about me too!

The boys are great. The weather is AWFUL. I have squash cooking and I'm roasting chicken for dinner! Yummy! We don't have any real plans for the weekend beyond guitar for SD on Sunday and maybe seeing the new Bond movie sometime too.

Hope you guys are all doing well. I might be able to join "wine night" later!

MEL:banana:

Hi Mel!! Thats great news about your eye..:woohoo: Sorry about notBob. being gone..

We are going to a get together tonite at friends house. I`ve got to run up to the little store for stuff for my Vodka..:goodvibes and chips...

Glad you had fun! I'm so jealous about the seafood. We haven't been out for seafood in AGES! Not that there's anywhere to get decent seafood in Michigan!
Bob's work is really messed up too. It's sad! :sad2:
You don't have Red Lobster? :confused3 They have a new menu and Kirt and I both got the fire-grilled combo with scallops, lobster tail and shrimp. It was super yummy. I even drank a sunset pina colada. :thumbsup2

I'm glad it's getting better and you should be seeing less of Dr. S soon. :goodvibes

Ugh. I'm starting to stress with everything going on. B's team dances at a festival we have the first week of Dec., and twice at the Schlitterbahn Hill Country Christmas festival. We have a conference in Dallas in December too. Not to mention that C's got drama three nights next week and her show on Saturday. Christmas parties... The Nutcracker ballet show, then A's party's next weekend too. Thanksgiving...at my SIL's :scared1:

:faint: 'Tis the season to be jolly? ;)

Is anyone esle looking at their calendar and feeling a little scared? :confused3

I'll be out tonight, so no drunk blogging for me. Plus, I don't think my tummy can handle it yet.

Have fun! :goodvibes

ALthough I have a feeling if they are going to do it, it will be on the new Quick Service Dining Plan that is out there. 2 CS meals per day, 2 snacks per day, and 1 refillable mug per person.

That sounds like a good deal! :thumbsup2

Just 3 including Evan. My nephews are older ... 16 and 11, but they love Evan and don't mind hanging out with "a baby". ;)

So it's not like you really have to watch them. :goodvibes

I'm planning on drinking and dising all night. DH is working on the ambulance all night, so I don't have to worry about him. So, look for me around 9pm eastern.

I'll be here too. The wine's open and I'm all alone with the cats. ;)

Angela - got a text today that the Texans returned over 400 ticket to the Colts game on Sunday. DH said that he would take me to a game for my Christmas present. Am I mad for deciding not to go? I want to wait until the Dec 28th game against the Titans. Hopefully we'll find some tickets for that one, especially if the Colts are still in the playoff hunt. Am I crazy??
Probably he should take you to two games, or are the tickets really crazy?

The floors dont need to be mopped and vacuumed 2 or 3 times a day:rotfl2:

:scared1: OMG you're like Kate on Jon and Kate! You can't possibly be anywhere that messy that your floors would need to be done 3 times a day! ;)

Oh, that's scary Angela! :goodvibes
:rotfl:

I'm so jealous about the seafood. We haven't been out for seafood in AGES! Not that there's anywhere to get decent seafood in Michigan!
There's a relatively new restaurant here called The Oceanaire Seafood Room that's wonderful. I think it's a chain but I don't know the other locations. They are pricey but your meal is an experience and soooo good. If we can get you off property, we should go. ;)

That's going to be a LONGGGGGG wait for the new Nascar year starts!!!!!
I think someone from NASCAR is going to be on Regis sometime soon. How's that for useful information? :rolleyes1 I'll check into it for you!

(Oh, I forgot Mr. T again!!!!) Sorry Mr. T!!!
:wave2: Hi Mr. T.

I saw Dr. Seigle today and he said I didn't do any lasting damage to the eye with all my RAKING.
Great news! :cool1:

The weather is AWFUL.
And you want me to come there.

Well, I'm not going to the launch. Because it's a Friday, there will be many more people and I didn't want to drive in the dark by myself. So depending on the cloud cover, I hope I can see the shuttle from the backyard.:thumbsup2

i put something in the microwave earlier and it started popping and sparking. I looked all around, but didn't notice anything. DH tried and same thing, but he looked more thorough and saw something burned on the metal plate inside. It's been really wet here and we found 2 slugs in the kitchen yesterday; it's all we have come up with so far. :confused3

I'd have to throw it out. ;)

That was pretty cool (the shuttle, not slate's slug)!!!

We got to see a launch from the top of the Swiss Family Treehouse a year or two ago. It was a night launch and we had the best seats in the house! My boys talk about it all the time!

MEL:goodvibes

OMG Jo I had forgotten about "CONKERS" The boys used to love conker fights and being a tomboy I did too but I also used to make dollhouse furniture with them ,using pins and yarn !! Oh what sweet memories !!:cloud9:

NO THEY DON'T.
Once a day is fine. :rotfl2:
I feel ya. I'm ocd too.

:scared1: OMG you're like Kate on Jon and Kate! You can't possibly be anywhere that messy that your floors would need to be done 3 times a day! ;)

Ok Im not THAT crazy really(please believe me:rotfl2: )but after eating I just give a quick vacuum and mop with a wet swiffer . I HATE CRUMBS!!! We dont wear shoes in the house and I hate the feeling of stepping on something
I just do dining room and kitchen more than once the other floors in the house get done just ONCE at day:goodvibes

:rotfl:
