Night Ed!

I'm waiting for the acceptance speech and then I'm following. ::yes::

I thought McCain's speech was very classy too. I thought it was very rude for the supporters to act the way they did- yelling "boo" and such.
No matter who wins, it's still important to be respectful of our leaders and that's what I try and teach my kids.
This is a historical night, isn't it? :) I'm recording Obama's speech to watch tomorrow.

Now I'm headed to bed because that stupid anti-nausea medicine is tearing up my tummy. Weird, no?

And, Katt, I would assume it would have been someone on his list. But we're fighting about it now and he's mad. :guilty: We deactivated his account. :sad2:

I'll catch up later but I found an e-mail this morning from the Moms Panel, they're calling today to tell us who's in and who's not popcorn::

My family that has passed (all staunch Republicans) is probably churning up the hollowed ground they are buried in. Indiana went blue. That doesn't happen very often. Let's hope things get turned around now!;)

I've dropped Ells at school and sitting here dying my hair, David started his new job today so our Wednesday walks alone are gone :sad1: Anyway it gives me time to catch up here!!!

If I ignore her, it'll be a big slap in her face. If I don't, I'll never get rid of her. :sad2:
Ignore!!!!

But who did? :confused3 I'm still ticked about him being bothered at work by it. :headache:
That is very strange, glad you deactivated it!

Hi everyone
I FOUND YA
Hi T2 :wave2:

I'm still here lurking. Watching. Taking notes. :)
:rotfl2: Hi

I think I'm going to ask Santa to bring me a DS for Christmas. :rolleyes1
:rotfl2:

We lost the match :headache: but it was close. We won the first set 6-3, lost the second 4-6, then had to cut the third set short because of times. It was 4-4 when we did the tiebreaker, and so we lost by 2 stinkin' points.
Oh no sounds like a good game though, especially for your first :thumbsup2

I surpised Doogles with his birthday gift Sunday. I booked the cabin in NC. It is $615 total for 6 nights. No deposit and we can take our 3 furbabies. Doug was very happy about that part! Here's some pics from the website.
Looks lovely and glad you had a lovely time :goodvibes

Looks Great... I need a get away... Scott asked me yesterday.. how we could go to Florida Over Thanksgiving....:scared1: :scared1: WHO IS THIS GUY BECOMING.. Sarabeth looked at me and said.. Looks like Dad... But that ain't Dad:lmao:

Thanks Lessa, I'm assuming I won't here until at least 9am EST (2pm here) and I told them I'll be unavailable from 10-11 EST as I pick Ellie up from school so I'm not expecting to hear till at least 11.30am (4.30pm) Not that I'm counting or anything :rotfl2: I have decided that I mucked up the phone interview and haven't got in but you never know. Whatever the outcome I'm fine :goodvibes

That's about the same thing that most Americans are thinking! Change can be good, but sometimes scary!

Let us know what the British media thinks of the election!

Watching the news this morning what has worried me is the Black people saying we got you, we showed you and I thought hang on isn't that racist????? I don't care what colour skin someone has you should be chosen because of who you are not what you are. Hope that doesn't offend!

Oh TE :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, I grew weary of CNN and finally grabbed a kid-free moment to watch True Blood before Daran flew in. WOW--it was great! Really going a different line that the books---Sookie fans--Katt and Z, I know....do y'all like the spin? I like it-- it's keeping me guessing even when I thought I knew what's gonna happen! And I feel sorry for Eddie.:sad2:

++++++++++
What part of NC is the cabin in?? Looks nice!:thumbsup2

I think it's been great so far! Sookie is different from the book, but in a good way. I feel bad for Vampire Eddie too!

Goodnight TE!! :goodvibes
Jodi texted me tonite while I was at work and said that Buzz is at McCains party in Pheonix. I texted him, but of course I wont hear anything. pretty cool though...:thumbsup2
Obama won in both kids schools for "kids vote" . I brought the kids with me to vote this afternoon. Sam can vote in the next presidential election! Scary! The guy offered him a I voted today" sticker and he said "no thanks, I can get my own in 4 years" :rotfl:

Go Sam!!
That's cool about Buzz.

Hi Jen! Hi Rachel! WOW! Did you see John McCain's speech? very classy..:wizard:
And I just heard that Massachusetts voted to ban Dog Racing!! Maybe I`ll adopt a greyhound! :cool1:

My sister was telling me about that proposal. Weird.

OMGosh Jo!!!! We'll try to keep you busy today so you aren't too anxious. Tell me what the weather's like today. It's sunny and supposed to be 65 today! Crazy November weather!

NO offense taken AT ALL. I agree with you. They said that 9% of blacks voted for McCain. However, 39% of whites voted for Obama. I say that clears up the "racism" issue.....:confused3
Voting for someone because of the color of their skin is RIDICULOUS. I would hope that we are above those sort of things at this point, but maybe not.

Obama IS NOT my candidate. I'm sad that my team lost but I have hope that Mr. Obama really DOES want to make my great country even greater. I hope he's a wonderful president.

**************************
So, today is just another day. HOWEVER, it's another day WITHOUT political ads! Yay! So happy that's over....

It's going to be gorgeous outside, so I may try to get out for a walk later. I don't have too much going on here and I can't drive yet. I might go through my Xmas card lists and see who's address i need to update. Boring, I know.

What are you guys going to do?

MEL

Jo, if everyone did this - no matter who they vote for - I would be the happiest person. I wouldn't vote for people of "my party" in the local elections if they didn't turn in some basic views or issues to the local paper - I won't vote for them just because of their party. Nor would I vote for someone just because she was a woman, or just becuase they were white, or whatever. It drives me nuts when people vote for a person without knowing where they stand.

Gotta get the kids on the bus, then my friend and I are meeting to go look at the pictures from our playgroup photo shoot.

After that, I don't have anything too much planned until the boys have their first yoga class at 4:00. This is my "easy" day - well, Friday is even better. Tomorrow's busy, though.

So I'll be back later! Have a great morning, ladies. :grouphug:

Good luck, Jo! I'll be thinking about you. :cheer2:

We ended up being at Epcot all day yesterday which was nice except it was supposed to get up to 80, but it was only in the low 70's and overcast. We just wandered slowly through the shops and sat to enjoy our drinks. Very nice. They we saw David Cassidy! When he first came out, my friend said he looked like Hugh Grant in Music and Lyrics. :rotfl:Of course the only songs I knew were The Partridge Family and I Think I Love You. But he had a really good stage presence. :thumbsup2

I also had a Nuvo from France. I don't know how I have missed this, but I like! :thumbsup2 Except for the fact that it's $15.00, and I had two. ;)

Nuvo Sparkling Liqueur It's a sparkling liqueur that's made from vodka blended with a touch of French sparkling wine - specifically chardonnay and pinot noir. Then it's infused with raspberry, peach and strawberry for a hint of fruity freshness that's not overwhelming

I saw it there in August, but decided against it in favor of wine. Hmmm....

Morning CE-Angela!!!

Angela, that drink looks so yummy. Glad you had fun at F&W.
