Well, I was standing at the sink...NOT sitting on the toilet...and I knocked the TP off the sink, bent over to pick it up, smacked my face on the sink, and BROK E my nose.

I wasn't going to say anything and hopefully I don't offend anyone, but....

NO offense taken AT ALL. I agree with you. They said that 9% of blacks voted for McCain. However, 39% of whites voted for Obama. I say that clears up the "racism" issue.....
Voting for someone because of the color of their skin is RIDICULOUS. I would hope that we are above those sort of things at this point, but maybe not.

I live in an area with a high black population and sadly this was not the fact at the place I normally poll. The past 2 elections, not to mention all the elections in between (mayoral, etc) the place is usually very very empty, but not this time. There were people who hadn't voted since 2000! And I heard some very stupid comments from people as to why they were voting for him (not for issues) and then more stupid comments after he was announced president. ("Time to paint the White House black." ) and those are the things that make me mad about these elections. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000 and then voted for change in 2004, but Bush won again because people didn't care to vote and it bothers me the reasons some people came out and voted this time around.

I'm sad that my team lost but I have hope that Mr. Obama really DOES want to make my great country even greater. I hope he's a wonderful president.

I was trying to find it local to see the cost, but I haven't had any luck yet. You do get a really cool glass that lights up when liquid hits it. I'm sure that's $5.00 of the price. So now I have two glasses to enjoy some at home.

Its 35.99 for 750ml at another liquor store in town...the store where I work doesnt have it. its new since last year, maybe 2007..but just available in RI this year...

I had a fire in the fireplace last night for the first time in forever - we didn't ever build a fire last year for some reason - and now the house smells like woodsmoke. It's not a horrible smell, but... I need to clean out the ashes and stuff, I guess.

Hi Z! Yes, I understand what you are saying. It's frustrating to hear people's reasons for voting. I think about the issues, I investigate the candidates and why they feel the way they do. I think I'm pretty informed. Then I hear someone saying in line at the polling place that they are voting for Obama because he's promising another stimulus check!! argh.

I want to wear a shirt that says: "I respect your right to chose your president. Please JUST don't share the reasons with me...."
