I would like to say...that I hope that our country can come together. I hope we all find peace and that our leaders take care of our citizens and our great nation.

Tomorrow morning will come and we'll all come back to this Focker thread as loving ladies...united in our love for each other and Disney, of course!

I just checked online for VA.......83% of polls in.........
49.72% Obama
49.22% McCain

really close!

In my county, with 100% in.........
63% McCain
34% Obama

(but Northern VA near DC carries most of the voters...)

I made BA go to bed and said we'd know tomorrow for sure.

Seriously, that's a very tight race that no one is calling. Amazing.

It's funny, too - I checked my parents' county, which very much is a farming community and tends to run Republican, but it's very blue. Of course, it also includes the University of Illinois, which skews it (heck, that's where I myself turned blue... ). The House seat there has stayed red forever - I find that split odd. Maybe the college kids don't bother to vote for the Representative?

Anyway, I just find it all fascinating - and do even when my person doesn't win...

JK--I think it's pretty interesting too---Obama came to our area 3 times which is unheard of in our small area, but it looks like most of SW VA still went Republican as usual. We have very little diversity and tend to vote conservatively so it's not surprising. My former states of SC and TX went red......and my former state of CT went blue........which was why I left there in a hurry! Nah--taxes were too high tho--not sure who's fault that was.

well, nighty nite--gotta work in the morning and discuss politics with all the residents! (My Nana is a strong Democrat woman---was one of the leading Democrat social ladies when my granddaddy was in local politics!)

Jodi texted me tonite while I was at work and said that Buzz is at McCains party in Pheonix. I texted him, but of course I wont hear anything. pretty cool though...
Obama won in both kids schools for "kids vote" . I brought the kids with me to vote this afternoon. Sam can vote in the next presidential election! Scary! The guy offered him a I voted today" sticker and he said "no thanks, I can get my own in 4 years"

My DH is at the Democratic Party in MN. He was out door knocking all day Sunday with my DS and today on his own... getting the vote out!!!!
