Hiya everyone
Boy it has been a while

QUESTION FOR EVERYONE (if you dont mind)
How do you all have time to DIS??
I only have 2 kids and 1 is in school full time but I NEVER have anytime to myself. I feel like I am constantly cleaning,cooking,running errands or playing taxi shuffling kids here and there.Not to mention homework and projects,sports when Happy is home from school. I AM JEALOUS of you all.;)
WHen the kids finally are in bed I take that time for P and I to just catch up.

ANYWAY sorry, but curious

I have spent the last 4 days cleaning the playroom out. Every year just before THanksgiving I clean out the playroom to make room for all the carp the kids dont need BUT will get for Christmas. I filled 12 huge black garbage bags over the last 3 days. I loaded the car and hauled them to goodwill and now am just organizing the room a bit better. The boys are getting bigger so ALL the "babyish" toys went and that made me sad. Lately I get sad thinking there are no babies in the house. (maybe that needs to change:confused3 :confused3 )Prob not :sad1: I dont think I have enough time or energy.

SOunds like alot of you need some:hug: :hug:
Hope everyone is starting to feel better

CE recap quicky if you can BUT a BIG:hug: for your family. I am so sorry to hear that sad news.(but I didnt get all of it just that someone was murdered
:confused3 )

JO-when does the new "mom" info get psoted on the site.Cant wait to see your video and bio:goodvibes

Jo, a lady I work with already put up all her Christmas lights. :eek: :laughing:

I've always waited for Dec. 1st, but I think this year I might try to get stuff up for Thanksgiving. :santa:

Erich surprised me last night by decorating the basement/family room for Christmas. He put up our Disney/misc tree (no ornaments yet just the lights) and he strung the lighted garlands around the room. I was very pleased, usually I am the person in the family who has to take the responsibility of decorating for the holidays. :goodvibes

We always put ours up the wekend after Thanksgiving!

I've got to start on ours next week before our trip to Dallas or it will be too late. The first week of December is a killer schedule. :santa:

kcs parents do NOTHING and my family does everything. when i say nothing i mean no tree, no wrapped presents, nothing. my family does the tree and gifts and dinner and all kinds of other great stuff. its not much of a choice, ya know?!

OMG this sounds just like something my mother would do. We're not doing anything but you need to be there anyway.:rolleyes:

So how are we all exchanging addresses for xmas cards??
Well, you did such a nice job with the FF spreadsheet. :rolleyes1

Angela: You're afraid of alittle snow. Bah! Wuss! :rotfl:

I own 3 pairs of closed toe shoes. ;)

A quick question before I head to bed, have you guys heard of or are able to buy chocolates called Quality Street or Rose? Thanks :)

No, but I can look if you want.

It's just Mitch and me so the house doesn't get that dirty. And I'm not working now so I have more time at home. No need to be jealous. You have a lovely family to fill your time. :goodvibes

For me it is a question of priority :confused3 Dirty house, dirty dishes, dirty laundry or DIS?

DIS WINS everytime :lmao:

Well, for three weeks since surgery I've been forced to sit around do NOTHING so Dis'ing sounded good...

But, usually, I am up at 6 and get kids off to school by 9. Then I'll DIS for an hour. Then I get my work (house, groceries, cleaning, bills, volunteering etc) done between 10 (or 11 if I'm lazy) and 1 pm. Then I shower and get kids for 230 pm!

There's a bit of time from when they get home till dinner prep. Then later is usually open too if they are busy with TV, homework or Gaming.

I don't really keep track, but I'm probably only "on" for about 1.5 hrs a day!

MEL
PS> yeah, kat should do a spreadsheet.

I just ignore housework ;) , and you'll notice I'm here a LOT more when D's not home. When he is, I tend to do what you do with P and use that as couple time.

Lately I get sad thinking there are no babies in the house. (maybe that needs to change:confused3 :confused3 )Prob not :sad1: I dont think I have enough time or energy.

Aww, we could use a Focker baby. ;)

CE recap quicky if you can BUT a BIG:hug: for your family. I am so sorry to hear that sad news.(but I didnt get all of it just that someone was murdered

D's cousin, who is not quite 35, was found shot with his girlfriend at his house. The first reports were just that, but then it started to be reported that he was possibly the shooter as a murder/suicide, but now we are hearing that they are still investigating the possibility of an outside shooter.

We are all just completely baffled, as he was not depressed as far as we could tell, wasn't a habitual criminal, etc., and the girl's sister in the paper also said this was totally unexpected, unlike so many of these issues where the family would say, "Oh, we tried to get her away from him," etc. But maybe we are just grasping at straws so that he's not the bad guy, so to speak. It's horrifying either way, but we'd really rather it not have been him, if you KWIM. He lives in CA and D wasn't terribly close to him, but... It's yucky.

For me it is a question of priority :confused3 Dirty house, dirty dishes, dirty laundry or DIS?

DIS WINS everytime :lmao:

::yes:: That's pretty much exactly it! :rotfl:

**************************************
Swim lessons were good, and D called just as we walked in the door, so the boys are talking to my MIL. So... I'll be back once they go to bed, probably. :thumbsup2

I wish! :rolleyes: Nope, 4 semesters after this one ends. So a full year, but I can see the light!
you're almost there!!! :goodvibes
So FOckerfest 2010 is going to be one GREAT BIG GRADUATION PARTY FOR V:thumbsup2
woooo whooooo!!!:woohoo:
:wave: Good morning.

I've got nothing...just good morning! :teeth:
hi jen, are you feeling better??
Yup, it showed up Tuesday. Unfortunately it's looking like we can't use it...it's for values only. but check this out, stay 5 nights and get a $500 gift card.

:scared1:

I KNOW!!!!!!

I spent the better part of the day yesterday trying to figure out if we got two connecting rooms would it just eat up the benefit of the card. And, sadly, it would. So it's not saving us anything. :sad1: I don't know. I'm still fuzzy figuring, but it's not looking good. The thing is, DH graduates from Gatorville on the 19th...it would be perfect :cloud9:
ikwym. there are 5 of us, so it really limits where you can stay.

Morning, Fockers. :goodvibes
I'm trying not to take my meds today. Well see how that goes. :confused3
We're getting school done, then the house tidied up. My MIL is coming over at 3:30 to watch the kids so K and I can go to a Rockapella concert in Austin. It's his bday present. :cutie:
I'll be in and out. Talk more so I have something to read! :surfweb:
have fun!!

:rotfl:

Have fun, Dawn!

Now I have the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego theme in my head.
hi hedy.
Tennis was good. Now I'm free! But I may take a nap. D had to leave so early this morning, and sadly I woke up when he did (I don't always) and couldn't fall back asleep easily. It's grey and cold, and perfect nap weather!

But I'll be around some, too!

Hope everyone's having a good day. :grouphug:

hi ce! hope you got your nap on!!! :)

Golf for me today, it was a singles knockout match and I lost, it was a very close match though :thumbsup2 I then hit the supermarket and have finally sat down for the first time today, playing golf in the cold sure tires me out more than in the heat!
so are you going to have time to golf while you're in florida??

When I was talking with Jodi on Tuesday SHE GOT ONE..
THOSE #%$@$#@%$ Disney People need to give me a Code.. I have been waiting for one for 2 years... "Codes to the Left of Me Codes to the right here I am Suck in the Middle with".... NO -THING...:mad: AGAIN:mad:

I am Gonna have to go to Universal... They ACTUALLY did send me something Once.. and I have NEVER BEEN there .

( are the Disney gods buying it ??)

I LOVE Rockapella... I'm Jealous... You get all the good stuff there
oh katt--- i so hope you get a code. you deserve it!! maybe the code fairy is around and she hears you!!! :laughing:
I know I'm overly trying to make it NOT jave been him doing the killing, but the more we talk about it - and the more I read comments from his friends posted after the online newspaper article - it just doesn't make a lot of sense. There was certainly no history of criminal behavior or fights between the two of them. I mean, anything is possible, but... Her family is shocked, our family is shocked. Usually you can kind of see some pattern before this kind of thing happens, and it just doesn't happen to be there.

GAH. I'm tired of thinking about it, and obsessively searching for ANY more info, but I can't stop - and now of course I'm thinking more sad things for D and his family who are starting to gather together. :sad2:
)
ce--:hug: :hug:
Afternoon all. Just poppoing in for a quick hi! :wave:

Kate - I got the same offer, I can't use it either:headache: We would have no problem with the value, we have to go July or August.

Hope everyone is having a good day! Check back later!:goodvibes
hi janet.

WARNING RANT AHEAD[/U][/B][/I]:SO... my holiday trauma started again! My in laws are stressing me out again. every year they don't get that we see my family on Christmas and spend turkey day with them. a fight happens every year. i am tired of it. it makes me and kc argue over something we cant control. now kc's dad is out of work so we may have to pay for turkey day, which is fine with me, but i told kc if they don't treat it like an actual holiday then i wont go. his mom eats off paper plates in her pj's and doesn't cook more than meat and rice and beans. its not what i know of thanksgiving. trying to convince her we should all sit down in normal clothes is apparently a big effort. and for xmas my family has offered them to come with us every year since we were married and they say no every year- which would be the solution for eeryone- but noooooo! URGH! I'm sure ill complain about this more in the coming weeks...thanks for the vent.

I'm off to make coffee for the first time in like 4 days since i have been sick!
VIVA LA CAFFEINE! [/COLOR]
oh katt-- :hug: that has to be hard!! i'm very lucky that both of our families understand the holiday thing. it also helps that i work every other holiday. i know that sounds kinda weird, but it does simplify things.
here's another one :hug:
It is soooooo tempting. I have no problem with the values, either. We just can't fit all 5 of us in the room. And I can't lie. Especially in Disney. That's some bad juju right there. So, I'm still mulling. It would be a great graduation present for all of us. But....

:confused:
yeah, they need to offer more things for bigger families. they did add the suites at asmu, but they never offer any promotions for it!! that makes no sense to me!!

I see this Both ways... NOW...
It was a Hassle splitting the Holiday's.. Turkey day here, Christmas There.. next year... REVERSE THE ORDER...

But now that Both my parents are gone... and my FIL does not do holiday's... I wish I HAD SOME WHERE TO GO for the Holiday's:guilty: Or Someone to come here
:hug: :hug:
:lmao: This is my favorite one:
Blah Blah Blah

I forgot to tell you all my appt. went well yesterday. I REALLY like this doctor. She's very cool. She gave me a new bioidentical hormone creme that I apply every day instead of taking pills. She also told me to read this book for my homework. So, I need to buy it after payday.
I really loved her. She even told me that I won't really be able to lose weight until my hormones are in sync again. She said first hormones, then we'll work on the weight thing. :thumbsup2
glad it went well!!!:goodvibes
:

Sometimes, when this stuff happens (stacking up bad things, on top of bad things) I think about how easy my life was at a certain point and how I never appreciated it! Like just this morning, I was thinking about how happy we were when our house was apprasied for so much money and how things were going along soooooo well. And look now! I bet my house is only worth half that appraisal now!

Things are going to get better, right girls?! This blah mood calls for something.....
Ah, maybe it's a sign that I am supposed to go back to Disney!!!!!!

MEL:banana:

it will get better mel!!! you just have to keep believing that to get you through!! :hug:

Yesterday, I went to the dr with Mr Diz. He has a hernia from the gallbladder surgery he had this summer. They went in through his bellybutton and the doctor said it can happen. He also had a fall 3 days after his surgery, so that could have caused the hernia, too. Anyway, he has to have the hernia surgery Dec 5 and the dr said it hurts worse than the gallbladder surgery.
oh no. :hug:

Auto-mo-bile?

The Donger need food!
:lmao: :lmao:
:The girls are at choir and I'm all alone, nice and peaceful though :rotfl2: I just had 2 calls from WDW, it's still so surreal that I'm now getting calls and e-mails from Disney :faint:
yep, you're a vip now!!!
I'm am headed to VA Beach tomorrow to chaperone BA's drama competition----24 middle schoolers for 2 nites! :eek:
(Mom says I need to pack extra meds for me and them!)
:scared1: :lmao:
. A few years back when the Crazies were still hitched, Mr. Crazy told my Doug that Mrs. Crazy thought it would be cool to husband swap with me.:
omg!!! :scared1: :eek: i would try and make myself look as ugly as possible for the dinner!!! scare him off!!! :lmao:
I am crazily readying for WDW! I volunteered at school today and Have me some BUNKO tonight! I need BUNKO tonight. err.... As we call it.. Drunko. :confused3

MEL

hi mel!!!

Ok caught up, but now I don't remember what I wanted to quote... :confused:

So, Hi Everyone!!!

Kat: :hug: That sounds annoying. Set up a big table in the living room and make them come to you. ;)
Oh and I'll exchange addresses for xmas cards! :santa:

Mel: Supernatural is on tonight with cute hot young guys ;) :lovestruc

Where's TE???

VT is playing UM tonight.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Later! :hippie:

Now, if I could just send my husband over to watch t.v. for a few hours and his wife could come clean my house, awesome! :thumbsup2 ;)
umm, i dont' think that's the way it works dawn!!! :lmao:
OMGosh. I found chewy nerds the other day at Wal-mart.

It's like the perfect combo of candy...

Crunchy, chewy, and a titch bit of sour.

Sooooo good. Dang it. I'm at work. And I'm craving chewy nerds.
yummm,, that sounds good!

Thank you, I did, but I had a weird dream that I lived in a house near the ocean, more across the street from the beach, and suddenly the waves were pounding on my front door, and then Angela came and said, "See, THIS is a hurricane." :rotfl: Then I dreamt that one of my teeth fell out. That's kind of a recurring thing for me. I don't get it.

.
omg!!! :lmao:
Mel - There is lots of good tv on tonight. Off the top of my head there is:

Ugly Betty
Grey's Anatomy
CSI
Survivor
Smallville
Supernatural

Good thing I have lots of free time at work or I would never be able to watch as many tv shows as I do. :lmao:

I'm on the Dis a lot, mostly on my TR though, so not a stranger you are just not reading in the right places, :rolleyes1 This thread is hard to keep up on though and my life is uninteresting thus the lack of posting. ;)

you forgot the office, earl, er!!!
We've got friends who supposedly swing, no-one really knows though. Well my other friends were kind of propositioned and we didn't know whether to be insulted they didn't ask us or incredibly relieved :rotfl2:
:lmao: :lmao:
A community organization doing direct care (my degree is in women's studies and spanish, and my eventual goal is to get my master's in social work).

.
that sounds great!!! congratulations!! :goodvibes
Hi homies!! :wave2:

Just popping in for a quickie - focker fix, that is. ;)

This whole Brownie thing has got me so busy! Who knew it was a full time job? :headache:

I didn't read beyond this page, so hugs to all who need them! CE, I don't know the whole story, but you and your family are in my thoughts. :hug:

Oh and I LOVE that quote from The Devil Wears Prada! :lmao:

Take care everyone!!! I miss you all!! :grouphug:

hi t!!

===========================================

okay, i'm 3 bouts of flu away from my goal weight!!!

Evening, Ladies! I just caught up on about 10 pages again, so forgive me if I missed something.

Got SD, and now we're going to get Gus in a minute! The new WOW game comes out today. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, nevermind...) They have been counting down the days for MONTHS!

We are going to get it right when we get Gus and then we're gaming all night! No, not me. I'll be upstairs watching bad tv most likely.....:rotfl:
What's on tonight?

Mel, my DH has been playing pretty much since he walked in the door from work. He contemplated getting it at midnight last night, as a bunch of stores were actually open for the release. But, he decided that he had to go to work today and if he would have gotten it last night, he would have stayed up all night playing. So, instead, he's going to be playing all night tonight.

Football! :cheer2:Go J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets

My thoughts exactly, Angela! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: GO JETS!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

And that recipe sounds awesome. I'm going to try it for Christmas!

~~~~~~~~~
So, I didn't do much today. Cleaned my house, worked out at the Y, got pulled over by the police in front of my DD7's school....
Yep, you read it right. I got pulled over for speeding in a school zone!!!!! :headache: Luckily, the cop was feeling friendly and let me go with a warning! I was in a hurry to pick up DD4 at her friend's house and get home in time for DD7 to get off the bus! I was probably going no faster than 35 mph, but of course the limit is 25 right in front of the school. He gave me a stern "SLOW DOWN!!!!" Let me just say that on my way back to the house after picking up DD4, I drove about 18 mph past the school. :rolleyes1
I haven't been around much lately because I've been working on getting my Christmas shopping done! I've got to bug my SIL to get lists from her boys, because they're about all I have left. I'm feeling pretty good right now!
Thanks once again. I promise, I'm trying to write about happier things. ;)
Ok caught up, but now I don't remember what I wanted to quote... :confused:
So, Hi Everyone!!!
Hi, Z! :wave2:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well...
I don't know much. D arrived safely at one of his aunt's houses. The boys talked to my MIL, who's now with him, so that's nice. Then we did AIM video chat with my mom. I'm so proud of her for figuring that out! :rotfl:
I can't decide if I should watch my shows tonight and have to rewatch them with D in a few weeks (he's gone all next week, too) or try to find something else to do or watch. :rotfl: Such a problem! :rotfl2:
but now we are hearing that they are still investigating the possibility of an outside shooter.
Oh my, CE, I don't know which would be worse. Although I guess it doesn't matter. It's a terrible outcome either way. :hug:
VT is playing UM tonight.
That's right. Jim Kelly was on the radio Tuesday talking about how his jersey will be hung in the Orange Bowl. I love him. :lovestruc
Mel, my DH has been playing pretty much since he walked in the door from work. He contemplated getting it at midnight last night, as a bunch of stores were actually open for the release. But, he decided that he had to go to work today and if he would have gotten it last night, he would have stayed up all night playing. So, instead, he's going to be playing all night tonight.
:rotfl:I thought I wanted to get Mitch an XBox/ Wii whatever, but maybe not!
And that recipe sounds awesome. I'm going to try it for Christmas!
I hope you love it as much as I do. :thumbsup2
Yep, you read it right. I got pulled over for speeding in a school zone!!!!!
You're lucky he let you off with just a warning. Several of the school buses here stop on 4/6 lane roads with no medians, and the police are very strict if you don't stop going both ways.
Oh my, CE, I don't know which would be worse. Although I guess it doesn't matter. It's a terrible outcome either way. :hug:
I know. I just hope he didn't do it, for his mom and sister's sake. I just looked at his MySpace page (we were friends on Facebook, but I'd not logged onto MySpace for months, and we weren't friends there.) Anyway, his mood was listed as "bueno", his influences as God and his family, and stuff he loved included his band and snowboarding, but also volunteer work and using his money to make a difference. (His dad was very wealthy when he passed away, and he's been successful himself.)
It just doesn't make sense to me, but we will just have to wait for some forensic evidence, and accept it if it's him.
Sorry, sorry. I'm just so trying to figure this out. I'll stop.
Thanks for letting me work this out via venting or thinking "out loud" or whatever.
