Well, I'm back from traveling with Tera. We had a fantastic girl's day. We stopped in Lubbock on the way back and I took care of all stocking stuffers for Christmas and a few more presents.

And we ate at Cracker Barrell.

Now I'm beat. And Jon Jon is getting sick.

Ok Dude, how many of you still have loads of trick or treat candy? I sent a grocery bag with Andy to give out at work and I've still got 3 gallon sized ziplocs in my pantry. But thanks to Aunt Flo, I'm putting a nice dent in it!

Oh, dear god. Beyond the big huge bowl the kids GOT, no one came to my house, and I overbought. I still have the better part of a huge BUCKET of my own. I have to get it out of here. They're all small sized, but I'm probably eating 6-8 a day. It's horrific.

Which is typical, I grew up in redneck country, but the Midwest has a lot of very distinct word usages. But I definitely grew up above the Mason-Dixon line.

I'm still a big fan of Raglan Road, but it's not "nice" as much as "good." Boma is good, but not close to MK. What about Artist's Point? Anyone?

So...

The boys had a BLAST and even though I tried to take them home at nine, there was crying, so we stayed until 10:00 when it ended. Somehow, they even stayed awake on the way home, so I didn't have to carry two sleeping boys up two flights of stairs.

I went to Kohl's and got a new pair of jeans, two bras, and a shirt. Then I went to Target and got the extra nunchuck for the Wii and a $.50 t-shirt for next Halloween, and a book.

I ate at TGI Friday's by myself, and it was good, and I sat at the bar so I didn't feel too weird.

So it was a nice night.

I'm wondering about times. I made all our meals about 5:30 last time which was fine for eating. But we were so tired after a big meal and park openings- we would always skip the night time stuff. I don't want to do that, but I just don't know how to keep them up more. My kids don't sleep in, not that I'd let them miss park opening and the won't nap-ever. So, will a mid-day break of swimming and chilling do it?

Even if they won't nap it's amazing what a little down time at the hotel can do, we did it every day, even if it was an hour or so, it made so much difference

Just been to a Remembrance service and a guy who was in the Falklands spoke, he was on a boat which was blown up and he burnt his face and hands (still very visible), he lost 35 friends and broke down crying, it's amazing that 26 years later it's still so raw. Really made me think and had a few tears too!

Don't worry. We'll catch up. I do have to say that I'm a bit overwhelmed at how fast this thread goes now. For the first time in 11 years I'm not a stay at home mom. I went back to teaching math . I wonder how much I used to be on the computer back in the day. Was it just as fast back then?

Since I am as far left as you can be and still be an American, I'm really not too worried about this. I would rather have the whole thing be a lesson in tolerance...followed by a ride on TMRR.

I'm 50% dixie, barely in Yankeedom. I guess that makes sense since I grew up in Minnesota and spent my entire adult life in North Florida and Georgia.

Yep We're not normally this chatty but the last few days have been a bit mad

All caught up for now. Looks like not too much traffic since I headed off to bed last night. Of course, it's still pretty darn early on a Sunday morning here in the states.

Mrs. T can keep going as I need to get ready to get everyone except Mrs. T out of the house in the next 40 minutes, and somehow we managed to pick up an extra one at game night last evening.

Thanks! It really has been a very rough several months for our family.

I'm off to get ready and wake the kids.
