:goodvibes Okay, I'm finally caught up with my Focker reading!

Jo: Makeup. I used to sell Mary Kay and have been trained a bit in that area. I agree with everyone who said that the mineral makeup is the best. Whether you use Mary Kay, Bare Essentials, or any of the other "good" brands, I think the Mineral Powders are the way to go. All the coverage, none of the goop.

HSMama: I've been there. When I get sick it always goes to my lungs. I have found that a round of steroids opens up my lungs quickly.:thumbsup2 Most people don't have adverse effects to this, although it sends my blood-sugar into a rollercoaster.

All you northerners who are turning out to be rebels: I do have to say that that's a good sign that the country is no longer divided culturally to the point of major disonance. For me, when I go back to Minnesota, everyone tells me I have a southern accent. Then when I get back to Georgia, everyone says I sound like I'm straight out of the movie "Fargo".

Jo: Are you still doing Girl Guides. My Girl Scout troop is now 5th and 6th graders (how did that happen?). It's awesome. I'm at the point where I sit back and watch them run the meetings! Today is my DD11's turn to lead. It's really hard not to jump in when it's your own daughter.

Parents of teenagers: DD11 became a woman a couple months ago. She's definitely developing on the same schedule I did. I also just started teaching Middle school (I had always taught HS or college before this). So I'm surrounded by crazy hormonal kids all day long. The best thing to remember is that their brains are chemically messed up until they finish developing. After that they just think they are the smartest people since Einstein. I do feel sorry for Mr. T when I realize that DD11 and I are on the EXACT same cycle, and someday our pheremones will influence DD8 at the same time! I think he and DS6 will be running away at that point.:rotfl2:

I went back to teaching math:teacher:

My DH Jim teaches middle school math too:teacher: :scared:

======================================================

Good morning all. Off to the supermarket but just wanted to drop in for a quick hi! :wave: Not much planned. Supermarket and laundry. Jim and Jimmy are running to Lowes, we ran out of primer last night with only the hallwa left to prime:headache: Then he will put the paint on. Looks like we will be able to go furniture shopping on Tuesday:woohoo:

Check in with you all later

My hubby was lucky. My DD11 started last December and I had a hysterectomy this summer. So, only a few months of the double crazies. ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think I'm headed to the grocery store soon. I don't want to go, but if I send Kirt with my money for the week, he'll spend it all. I'm trying to cut corners and stash away money for the trip. The deal is I get $x each week. Anything I don't spend, I can save for the trip. I usually get $50 for gas (from when it was so high), but last week ididn't drive except to the docotr, so I have 3/4 a tank. :banana:
$50 toward the trip already! :yay:
What the heck is going on around here? Why is there a giant me plastered on this page?
:lmao: I had 6 teens over last nite........keep reading after my quotes......it was quite an evening!
I did live in VA for six years, but it was Fairfax County, so I don't think that counts as the South! Sorry, I'm just a midwest girl at heart!
No..sorry.....the rest of VA tried to vote Fairfax county out of the state, but we found they have all the voters.....hence VA going for Obama.:sad2: ;)
(unfortunately, that's where all the money is too--and they don't redistribute for public schools like TX does, so we really have the short end of the stick)
Ok, so TE ... can brown people take your test? 'Cause I did and here's what I got:
35%. Barely Yankeedom. :confused3
WTH does that mean??? :confused:
Means you talk Californian! :lmao:
I was playing around with the test and some of the responses were "wow--you must be from California!" :lmao:
OMG. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
63% Dixie. Well under the Mason-Dixon Line. What the heck does that mean TE???
A!
You talk more normal than most westerners..........aka with a Southern accent! :lmao:
J
I grew up in NJ, but I guess living in LA (the state, not the city) and GA for almost the last 20 years has rubbed off. Here's my score:
79% Dixie. Your neck must be a just little rosy!
Good night all. :wave:
He he......even my 7 year stint in CT did nothing to lighten my neck color! :lmao:
45% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom.
Which is typical, I grew up in redneck country, but the Midwest has a lot of very distinct word usages. But I definitely grew up above the Mason-Dixon line.
NH has probably rubbed off on you some! Take the test again after another Dollywood trip! :lmao:
Yep Poly is scheduled for the big family trip in a few years time.
My results
29% Dixie. You are a dandy Yankee Doodle.
Well, I guess that's not surprising! :lmao:
The winners so far.........
All Rebel---Katt (followed by TE, and SLate hasn't taken it yet!)
All Yankee--Lessa......'cept she lives in another country, but she must talk funny! Could y'all understand her at the meet??? ;) :lmao:
+++++++++++++++++++++++
Well, I had an "interesting" nite---remember 5 teens and BA slept over last nite..............they were up ALL nite and I tried repeatedly to get them to quieten down..........at 4 am, they finally rushed into our room and said:
Wake up! The house has been egged!!"
Yep---sure enough, many windows were covered in egg shells and someone had actually opened Ab's window, took a make up case, deposited eggs in her floor, and put the makeup case on top of one of the girls' car. :confused3
Nothing was really taken tho.....animals were fine........and whoever did it had to park their car.......walk 1/4 mile straight up the driveway.
We figure the girls will find out who did it at school---someone obviously knew these girls were having a slumber party.
Oh well,,,,,,,,,,Bear just came in with egg shells on his nose! :lmao:
Who wold do that? And whose parents would let them out that time of night:eek:
96% Dixie. Is General Lee your grandfather?!
I could ::yes::
We live w-a-y out so it's someone who knows Ab (and even where her room is), so she'll find out. I told the girls to monitor Myspace and facebook for their pics as our main mountain view rooms have no window coverings! :scared1:
We found the egg carton in the front field--18...so at least it cost them around 2.50 or so.
The only scary thing is that Daran keeps a shotgun near in case we hear predators near our animals.......that could have been really bad........granted, they weren't thinkin' clearly, cause everyone keeps a shotgun near---you never know when that deer comes clear up to your porch! (like last week)
96% Dixie. Is General Lee your grandfather?!
:worship: :worship: you beat me.......I KNEW those years in CT would come back to haunt me! :lmao:
Nope I gave up over 3 years ago now but T is just starting up a group :thumbsup2 Yours sounds great now they do it themselves :rotfl2:
I do feel sorry for Mr. T when I realize that DD11 and I are on the EXACT same cycle, and someday our pheremones will influence DD8 at the same time! I think he and DS6 will be running away at that point.:rotfl2:
Poor guy, I know that will happen to David with 3 girls in the house :rotfl2:
Looks like we will be able to go furniture shopping on Tuesday:woohoo:
What will you be buying?
$50 toward the trip already! :yay:
Woooohoooooo
What the heck is going on around here? Why is there a giant me plastered on this page?
Because Katt wanted a photo of you :rotfl:
OMG who would do that???? Especially when they had to drive and walk so far :confused: :rotfl2:
Just been for a walk and saw the most gorgeous double rainbow, it really was perfect, only thing was that to get a rainbow you need rain and we got caught in it :headache: :rotfl2:
:lmao:
You blew it on the soft drink question, didn't you?
:lmao: We say POP.......what's the right way??
Thanks!
I KNOW! The girls will figure it out! I'm sure it will be the topic of conversation at the high school (and Middle school with BA) for the next week!
What will you be buying?
Living Room. Couch (Sofa), Loveseat, tables, lamps, and a new Flat Screen TV, which of course will nedd a new entertainment Center to be put in! I have been shopping around so I know what I want. It's just getting to the store, ordering it, and having delivered. It must all be done by The weekend before Thanksgiving. That's MY rule....!
Can't wait to hear what is said:laughing:
Soft drink.....'cause if you don't specify, it will have somthing hard mixed in. :rotfl2:
When I went to college (in Western PA) I went out with some friends to the local Dairy Queen type place. I asked for a large soda, they asked me what kind, I answered Diet Coke. They brought me diet coke with vanilla ice cream in it:scared: :rotfl2:
I have a question for you fine uber planning folks. Would you go to MK on a crowd level 6 day with EMH or a level 5 day with the MK closing at 8PM?
If it is early EMH I would go. We did late EMH at MK this year and it was packed.
