ITA on the Halloween candy. I need to conveniently dispose of it while the girls are at school on Monday (if it makes it that long). Actually, I took all the hard candy out of it to put in our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes that we're taking to church. They won't take anything that can melt, but suckers and Jolly Ranchers are good. Unfortunately, we've still got lots and lots of chocolate...:sad2:

Just got back from dinner at Golden Corral with the in-laws. It was okay. Better than cooking, so I'll take it. DH and I are going to watch Baby Mama tonight.

All this trip planning is making me depressed. Of course, I've got the trip to DL coming up, but I don't have any idea when we'll be going back to WDW. With DH in school now, we have to plan around his breaks. And starting in August, we'll have two kids in school too. I've been toying with the idea of Thanksgiving week next year... or maybe the week before Christmas. Any opinions???

Mom always says the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to the Sunday after is packed. I hear the week before CHristmas is good, but Christmas week is packed. LIved through that once. Will never do it again!

Off to play WDW Chutes and Ladders with Jimmy. BBL!

Are you in DVC? I ran the math a while back, and it did not make sense for accomodations for a family of 5. I may have to dig out the spreadsheet for the new 1BR units that sleep 5.
I did not know the 1st week of June was Gay Days, but I don't expect it to be an issue. In any case, we can't really move the trip as we are heading straight from Orlando to a wedding in Minnesota.

I think you said y'all were going 6/6-6/13. We're pretty much spot on but shifted two days - 6/4-6/11. We should have a pretty healthy overlap in WDW time. I'm looking forward to having the families meet up. Maybe we can get the families together for a dinner before then.

We bought a DVC resale - 100 points at SSR, then we added a few AKV points. AKV and BLT do sleep 5 in the 1 bedrooms. If you look at the numbers again, check out the DVC section of the boards. They have a thread that lists what people paid per point on their resale.

You won't have issues during Gay Days. We saw some interesting tshirts, but nothing my kids noticed.
Yes - we need to meet up.

Hmm......no one's here..........you all don't have a more interesting life than me on Sat nite, DO YOU? Cause I got 6 girls having a baking party in the kitchen.....

This is funny:

The Redneck Book of Manners

1. Always identify people in your yard before shooting at them.
2. It's considered poor taste to take a cooler to church.
3. If you have to vacuum the bed, it is time to change the sheets.
4. Even if you're certain that you are included in the will, it is still
considered tacky to drive a U-Haul to the funeral home.

***DINING OUT ***
1. Avoid throwing bones and food scraps on the floor as the restaurant may
not have dogs.

***ENTERTAINING IN YOUR HOME ***
1. A centerpiece for the table should never be anything prepared by a
taxidermist.
2. Do not allow the dog to eat at the table no matter how good his manners
are.

***PERSONAL HYGIENE ***
1. While ears need to be cleaned regularly, this is a job that should be
done in private using one's OWN truck keys.
2. Proper use of toiletries can forestall bathing for several days.
However, if you live alone..... deodorant is a waste of good money.

*** DATING (Outside the Family) ***
1. Always offer to bait your date's hook, especially on the first date.
2. Be aggressive. Let her know you're interested. "I've been wanting to go
out with you since I read that stuff on the bathroom wall two years ago."
3. Establish with her parents what time she is expected back. Some will
say 10:00 PM; others might say "Monday." If the latter is the answer, it is
the man's responsibility to get her to school on time.
4. Always have a positive comment about your date's appearance, such as,
"ya sure don't sweat much for a fat broad."

*** WEDDINGS ***
1. Livestock, usually, is a poor choice for a wedding gift.
2. Kissing the bride for more than 5 seconds may get you shot.
3. For the groom, at least, rent a tux. A leisure suit with cummerbund
and a clean bowling shirt can create too sporty an appearance.
4. Though uncomfortable, say "yes" to socks and shoes for this special
occasion.

***DRIVING ETIQUETTE ***
1. Dim your headlights for approaching vehicles; even if the gun is
loaded, and the deer is in sight.
2. When approaching a four-way stop, the vehicle with the largest tires
always has the right of way.
3. Never tow another car using panty hose and duct tape.
4. When sending your wife down the road with a gas can, it is impolite to
ask her to bring back beer.
5. Never relieve yourself from a moving vehicle, especially when driving.
6. Do not lay rubber while traveling in a funeral procession.

***TWO REASONS WHY IT IS HARD TO SOLVE A REDNECK MURDER***
1. All the DNA is the same.
2. There are no dental records.

Here's my score:
63% Dixie. Well under the Mason-Dixon Line

I'm crabby. I was cold, so I went to take a hot bath and the water was stinkin' cold. :mad: I called Baylie in and asked her if she used all the hot water and she said no. But her legs were bright red! :headache: Geez! For a week now I've had a hot bath at least once a day, usually after the kids bathe and never had problems. :mad:
I'm all freezing now with wet hair.

Okay, whining over now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I have the meals planned, but I haven't gotten to talk to Kirt at all about stuff. By the time everyone's in bed every night, I'm tired and go to bed. :rolleyes1
I'm wondering about times. I made all our meals about 5:30 last time which was fine for eating. But we were so tired after a big meal and park openings- we would always skip the night time stuff. I don't want to do that, but I just don't know how to keep them up more. :confused3 My kids don't sleep in, not that I'd let them miss park opening and the won't nap-ever. So, will a mid-day break of swimming and chilling do it? :confused3
well, you scored better than Janet! :lmao:
I've found around 6 works best for us......after 7:30 and we were all too hungry.......before 5:00 and we weren't hungry enough.
They are baking pumpkin rolls and choc chip cookies now!:goodvibes
Her friends love to come over for baking parties cause we have double ovens!
Anyone else see the new Tinkerbell movie? One of the characters (Mary the head tinker) gives the Focker sign once during the movie. :lmao:
Sorry... food = :scared: :sick: still for me.
I ate a half a wheat bagel PB&J for lunch and had 4 ritz crackers with colby jack cheese on top for dinner. Kirt went to get blizzards for him and the kids and I had a tiny bit of a reeces one. I hope I don't regret that. :sad2:
But, if we eat at the Poly at 6pm, for instance, we'll have enough time to get back to MK for the show if that's what we want to do? :confused3
:lmao: I haven't seen it (and probably won't with the age of my girls, but I'd love to see that part!)
What time is the show that nite? It's a quick monorail ride back to MK......one time we watched the fireworks whilst lying on the beach at the Poly! :thumbsup2
And dang........can't believe you're still that sick. You've had it rough.:hug:
I think all the shows are at 9, for the most part the whole trip.
I know. I'm sick of it. I had a fever earlier again. Surely the antibiotic will kick in soon. :confused3
So, that's two inhalers, cough meds, and an antibiotic.
:eek:
When I had pneumonia 2 years ago, it took me a good month to feel like myself---I got tired carrying laundry upstairs for quiet a while.
And BTW---my nebulizer makes me feel much better than my inhaler when I'm that sick---and xopenex works better than albuterol (less jitters).
You should definitely be able to get there by 9
Okay, TE. I got 35%. Guess I'm even more northern than Janet (even though I live further south)! But just because I'm not a Dixie, that doesn't mean I'm not a redneck! We've got those in Indiana as well!
Dawn - I'm so sorry you're still sick. I hope you feel better soon! :hug: As for timing of dinners, I don't think you'll have a problem getting out of Ohana before Wishes and the parades. By the end of April, I'm sure Wishes is back to 9pm and the parades are at 8pm and 10pm. You should make it no problem! And they pump the music for Wishes into Ohana anyway, so you could watch from your table! We did that last December. :cloud9:
I asked for meds for my neb, but he didn't give me any. He's decided it's bronchitis with a stomach flu. :eek:
So, I just made K look at the menus of the couple of places I wasn't sure about and he's good with all of them. :thumbsup2 So, that's done. But, I can't make ADRs until at least late November/early December. At least that's what the buzz is. :surfweb:
I swear, we were just so tired and fat, full and happy after dinners, that we just left and went to sleep at the hotel every night.:sad2: We only saw one show the whole time- Wishes.
I knew the kids were beat when B fell asleep (DD10-at the time) at 5 waiting at Ohana for our name to be called! :eek:
Mel! I didn't realize Narcoosee's is a 2TS place. :guilty: I may ditch Ohanas for it, but does anyone have any other suggestions that are one credit that are nice and easy to get to from MK?
:confused3
Okay- I'm going to lay down. Good night, girls. :goodvibes
wow Jodi..........we're gonna have to Southern you up! :lmao:
The pumpkin muffins were not so good........waiting on the cookies!
And they're playing dress up in BA's closet-----these are 15-17 year olds! They look hysterical in the Belle costume and tiara! :lmao:
