Hi guys - popping in for yet another drive-by post.

Worked hard to get groceries bought, laundry washed, outside decorations up and tree isntalled and decorated. Add a crapload of coughing to that and I'm BEAT! :faint:

Sending many virtual hugs to Meeska - any word yet Jen?

Meeska is out of surgury and is actually home!

I saw her this afternoon.

They threaded the catheter in through her...ummm...her girlie regions and were able to take care of things that way. Removed stones, put in a stint...and she has to "pass" the rest.

No invasive procedure...so she got to go home!

And they were able to save her kidney by doing it!

She's in pain...but not horribly so.

She and I thank you for your good thoughts!

That's awesome, Jen! I'm so glad everything worked out so well!

Tracy - I want to learn how to make homemade taco shells too!

Kat - Hope your Thanksgiving redo goes well tomorrow. We'll be having leftovers tomorrow too!

------------------------
Our lunch for MIL was awesome. The food was so good and she loved all the surprises. I took some pics of the desserts and will get them posted tomorrow.

We don't need no stinkin' mixers!:lmao: Grab a shooter and you're set! :thumbsup2
:lmao: It's Jack Daniels or something that Kirt got from an employee last Christmas. Yuck.

I'd :faint: if I did that:eek:
Me too. :rotfl:

You have ice, don't you? :confused3 I've been watching football and enjoying vodka and cranberry ginger ale. :thumbsup2
I don't think I could stomach it. Tea and baked sour cream and onion chips it is... :lmao:

Wow! I can't believe she's home. I hope she's not in too much pain. Poor baby.

Oh, you can practice for Fockerfest 2010:thumbsup2
:rotfl2:

Now what fun is that? It should be an art party. :rotfl2:
True :rotfl2:

FYI: I moved to a new blog addy. The link in my siggie has been changed. Someone let me know if it works for them, okay?
I've added you to my following list :goodvibes BTW the link for mine is in my siggie!

My kids are completely clueless. All their gifts are in the garage in bags right next to their bike rack. :rotfl2: Thankfully they're not nosey!
That won't last much longer, you'll have to start hiding them well like the rest of us :rotfl2:

Am I going to have to hold a taco shell making class?
You can make taco shells???? :rotfl2:

So Turkey day 2 is tomorrow, KC is out for a while and we are relaxing tonight.
Have fun!

We are loading up and heading to the Mutha Land!
Have a safe trip and a fantastic time :wave2:

That's fantastic, I hope she doesn't get too much pain and she passes the stones easily

Sounds lovely :goodvibes

Ellie sung a solo in Church this morning and she was so cute, she's got a cold and you could hear it in her voice but she still managed it :thumbsup2 Jess on the other hand had a face like thunder the whole morning :sad2:

Morning, Ladies (and Mr. T & Brack!)!!

Well, we woke up this morning to the first snow of the season. The girls are super excited, but the snow seems to have knocked out our satellite TV, so that's a bummer. It's coming down pretty good in really big wet flakes. The ground is covered already. I know that Jo will be jealous, right? ;)

Headed to church in a little bit and then home to watch football and finish the laundry. I've also got to figure out what to do with all my turkey leftovers. I bought some frozen amish noodles, so I guess I'll make turkey & noodles this afternoon. The girls are saying they want to play in the snow, but we'll see if that happens or not. Usually, they go out for about 10 minutes and say "it's too cold and wet"!:rotfl:

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Whew Not to chatty this morning sooo I am really caught up from my last post!!:rotfl2:
Good for Ellie Jo!! What's with Jess??
The kids here are nosey especially Steph !!They found the wii under my bed , I told them it was for work . They looked at me and said Those people don't play wii !!! I said that's cuz they didn't have one now they do!!:lmao: No inserts in papers today so a nice Lazy Sunday!!!:cool1:

Official good morning to everyone! :sunny:

Did a quick pop-in earlier to check on Meeska prior to handling some domestic tasks. Coffee is made and ready for whenever everyone else wakes up. :coffee: We were out until almost midnight at a bar mitzvah party last night and no religious school this morning because of the Thanksgiving holiday, so I expect everyone else to have a bit of a sleep in.

You're asking these DVC owners if you should do it? :rotfl2:
DVC!! DVC!! DVC!! :cheer2:
We're still trying to rationalize the cost. I think we may be almost there on that. :rolleyes1 We like the idea of keeping a June trip by either using the BLT promotion for a 5-night trip w/$1k gift card or purchasing an SSR contract with usable point.

I think we're leaning towards BLT at the moment. The cost is more up front, but it, along with ALK, are the only two properties that seem to have an official 5 person occupancy for a one bedroom. For fear of getting the thread shut down, I won't go into any unofficial policies. We read this thread on occupancy from the DVC forum (Occupancy Thread). It may only be an issue the next 7-10 years as we have no idea what the kids will want to do once they get into the "young adult" stage.

Our neighbors down the street are a family of 5, and they've never had an issue with a one bedroom at any of the DVC resorts. They've always told the CM when making the reservation that they have 5 in their party. All the same, I think I'd rather be within the stated occupancy requirements as the norm.

OMG! Please don't tell me you buy boxed taco shells??!!! :faint: Sick. :lmao:
Am I going to have to hold a taco shell making class?
Sign me up for lessons as well.

I tried catching up, but my sister's computer is super slow and it seems I've missed a lot.
:badpc:

This morning, when we got up, my sister gave me a facial. She is taking classes to be an aesthetician.

On a sad note: my brother lost his job a week ago due to reorg and a couple days ago he shot a nail through his thumb with a nail gun. OUCH!
Cool on the facial; hope you enjoyed it! :cool1: Not so cool on the lost job, and really not cool about the nail. That had to hurt. :sad1:

My MIL's 70th birthday is today and we're surprising her with a lunch out at Maggiano's. Eric's brother and SIL are meeting us there with their four boys. She'll be very surprised that they came down. And we bought her a really nice watch with an inscription on the back. I also picked up flowers and a balloon for the table. Should be a nice afternoon, but I know that I'll stuff myself too full of all that good Italian food!:rolleyes1
Hope you had a blast at the b-day lunch! :bday: We really like Maggiano's, but we always end up with stuff to take home because the portion sizes are huge.

I'm on the 1st glass of red wine.....who's with me!?
I wish I had wine... All we have is a bottle of something too strong and no mixer.
We don't need no stinkin' mixers!:lmao: Grab a shooter and you're set! :thumbsup2
Looks like I missed another evening at the TFW bar. Ah well, it was in a good cause, and I would not have wanted to miss DS6 doing the macharena. It was so cute.

Thanks, we moved it to tomorrow since KC has an old friend in town. But i am looking fwd to it!
:thumbsup2

I guess my good morning may be a little late, so good afternoon! Sounds like it went well with Ellie. Is Jess under the weather?

Yup. Definite bummer on the TV. The problem with satellite systems is you can have difficulties getting signal with any kind of heavy precipitation.

Headed to church in a little bit and then home to watch football and finish the laundry. I've also got to figure out what to do with all my turkey leftovers. I bought some frozen amish noodles, so I guess I'll make turkey & noodles this afternoon.
Have fun with church and football! Laundry never ends. :sad2: We've got that on our agenda for the day as well. Mrs. T made a turkey soup, so that's on our meal plan for the day.
----------------------------------
I've still got some work that I can get done before the end of month billing, so that looks like it will fill out the remainder of my dance card for the day. Catch up with y'all later when I take a break from work.

TTFN!

Good for Ellie Jo!! What's with Jess??
I think she's becoming a teenager  :rotfl2:

The kids here are nosey especially Steph !!They found the wii under my bed , I told them it was for work . They looked at me and said Those people don't play wii !!! I said that's cuz they didn't have one now they do!!:lmao: No inserts in papers today so a nice Lazy Sunday!!!:cool1:
Great answer :rotfl2:

I would not have wanted to miss DS6 doing the macharena. It was so cute.
Ahhhh sounds it :goodvibes

Is Jess under the weather?
She says she has a bit of a sore throat but I think it's hormones :sad2:

Does anyone else here blog so I can add you to my list????

Morning :goodvibes

Jen, I'm amazed that Meeska was able to go home after the surgery, but it's great news! Healing is always easier at home. Continued well wishes her way.

V, the boys still sound like harbor seals from time to time...that cold is nasty and persistent. Get better!

Jodi...snow? I hope the girls have fun.

Kat, enjoy your do over.

**********************

My bigger Who's are still a-snooze, but B and I were up at the crack of way too early. I'm hoping to get the tree up today. If we don't, I fear there will be a revolution by my younger boys. It's chucking down AGAIN...and gross, so it's a good day to stay inside and decorate.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Where the heck is everyone? Wake up!!!!!

;)

We are expecting a snowstorm today. It's supposed to start late this afternoon and they are predicting up to 8 inches of snow! Whoo Baby. Fun times.... The kids are happy though as they might call off school if we get that much!

Sd has a guitar lesson today. That's all i "have" to do today. Finished watching the Thorn Birds last night. OMG. I forgot that the end is SO sad. Well, that's what I get for watching it twice in 20 yrs! We all tucked in early last night. Can't figure out why I've been so sleepy, but I figure I must need it....

I know not everyone is on Bob's FB, and I wish I could share all his pics from Japan here.... Maybe I'll try to upload some for you guys! They are simply amazing. He hiked up another mountain yesterday, learned how to do the tea ceremony from adorable 8 yr old kids and saw a temple from 725 AD!!!!! Holy Cow!

Bob actually just called so I the part above is typed from an hour ago! He sounds so good. We got to see him on the Webcam too! Technology rocks! He's leaving for Korea in about 8 hrs.

Well, I think I'd better get bfast on. The kids are hungry!
Talk to you chickies later!

=======================================================

GOt the tree up last night. I took pictures last night and today of the tree adn the living room so I could post them. Can't get the stupid computer to read the memory card:mad: As soon as Jim wakes up I will get him to get it working and get the pics posted---promise:flower3:

Not much on the agenda for today. Will finish up the inside decorations, but other than that not much. One of us needs to run to the grocery store, but we don't need much.

WHen I read stuff like this I am so glad I have a boy:scared:
Boys have got them, too :headache: Trust K. ;)

APparetnly you sent all that loverly weather up here...thanks Kate:rolleyes: IT's chucking down here and it is supposed to rain for 3 days:headache:

Yup...all night Friday, all day yesterday, all night last night and thunderstorms this afternoon. We need the rain, but when the ground squishes under your feet, it's time to stop. It's better than snow, right?

Morning all!

Meeska is out of surgury and is actually home!
Fantastic news Jen, thanks for letting us know! :goodvibes

We're still trying to rationalize the cost.
Let me know if you need any help with that. I'm a master of Fuzzy DVCing. ;)

Our neighbors down the street are a family of 5, and they've never had an issue with a one bedroom at any of the DVC resorts. They've always told the CM when making the reservation that they have 5 in their party. All the same, I think I'd rather be within the stated occupancy requirements as the norm.
Yep, DVC does, in fact, allow 5 in a 1 bedroom when staying on points. What they won't do is provide extra bedding/linens for that 5th person. But it's totally allowed. :thumbsup2

V, the boys still sound like harbor seals from time to time...that cold is nasty and persistent. Get better!
:rotfl: Yes, that's exactly how I sound! Thanks - I'm getting there.

Leo sends this: :scared1: he likes that guy.

Oh, and GO GATORS!!!!

GOt the tree up last night. I took pictures last night and today of the tree adn the living room so I could post them. Can't get the stupid computer to read the memory card:mad: As soon as Jim wakes up I will get him to get it working and get the pics posted---promise:flower3:
Yay, it's tree picture season again! :yay:

Fockers...

Tell me about iphones. What can i do with one? What does it not do? Is there a less costly, but equally functional equivalent?
