 Bye Mr. T!
Thx! Good morning (oops almost afternoon) now! :goodvibes

Joining the Sick Club! My DH and DD both are sick, sick and we leave in just 4 more sleeps! My kids never get sick, why now?
It's that Murphy's law thing. We'd have all been better off if Murphy had just kept his mouth shut... Sorry to hear about the illness. Feel better!

Cinderella came yesterday to Tinks party. Although she wasn't near as good as the real deal, the kids still had fun. We now have just about every Princess toy ever licensed by Disney.
No character appearances for us, but DD8's party was a success. I'm not sure how late they all stayed up, but if I had to guess, they were up chatting and giggling until around 2:30AM, despite Mrs. T's best efforts to get them situated and ready to sleep after the American Girl movie at around 11:30. party: She'll actually turn 9 on Wed., and we're planning on going out for dinner that night.

:bday: :bday: Tink :bday: :bday:

It's also Mrs. T's birthday tomorrow. :bday: We'll be going out to dinner, but she hasn't said where yet. She already got her b-day present already. At the moment, she's trying to get an hour or so nap after the party last night.

I have got to see and READ Twilight. Must keep up with you Fockers!
Ditto.

So, everyone is sick. Here, too.
Took DS to the doctor Thursday and he has strep throat. No symptoms at all. I checked him out of school at lunch for his dr appt b/c I wanted to get him a flu shot and have them look at his throat because his breath was smelling really foul. They took a strep test and it was positive. This same thing happened 2 years ago, only I got strep 3 times before the doctors and I realized the issue was strep.
Then, Friday morning ds cut his finger with the scissors. He is the kid I can trust to leave stuff like that alone, so I was surprised. I should have taken him to get stitches, but I didn't. I called the pediatrician who told me she doesn't do stitches, but would look at it and see if she thought I should take him for stitches. Well, this happened at 6:30am and the immediate care centers around here don't open until 8am. I didn't want to take him to the ER for a cut on the finger. I couldn't tell how deep it was and we got the bleeding to stop, but I see today that it is pretty deep. He says he learned his lesson and will never touch the scissors again.

Mr Diz is all stressed out at work. I asked him if he wanted to go to SC on Wednesday, instead of Friday and leave the kids with my family and the two of us go to the beach for Wed and Thursday night. Then my sister called and I mentioned it to her. She said we can use her condo. I didn't even think about asking her to stay there. Anyway, I think we are going to do it. She does not have an ocean view, but it's free!
Sorry to hear that you've got some illnesses running around.  Yikes about the cut. It always worries me when the kids get the scissors out, I know they do because they always forget to put them away...:rolleyes1 Wow on the condo and kids with family! Sounds like a great idea to relieve some stress and not add to it because of expense. Have a blast if you can swing it! :woohoo:

Sounds great, so what time did they all go to sleep last night???
My best guess is between 2:30 and 3AM. I'm not going to wake up Mrs. T at the moment to verify. The last one left around 10:30 or so this morning. Mrs. T, DS6 and I were up around 7:45 to make a large batch of eggs, biscuits and grits for 12.

When are their actual bdays? Aiden's is on Thanksgiving this year. He doesn't seem to notice. We're celebrating the day before here at home. I always do a big dinner of the birthday child's choice, then we do gifts and dessert. :cloud9: It's nice to make a big deal out of it.

:bday: :bday: Aiden :bday: :bday:

Mrs. T's b-day is tomorrow. DD8's b-day is Wednesday. Her b-day will fall on Thanksgiving next year.
------------------------------------------
I've got lunch in the oven for the few members of the family who actually told me what they wanted. After that, it's pretty much rest, recovery and clean-up from the party. I'm sure sometime this afternoon Mrs. T will take DD8 to Target to get a b-day present from us (plus one DVD we already have to return and a gift card); DD8 should be able to have a pretty nice Target shopping spree.

Then, I think Mrs. T and I are going to have to get some work work done this evening. :surfweb:

I'm also contemplating whether DVC may make sense for us. We got an e-mail offer that if we buy in before Jan. 15, we get a "free" vacation (5-nights) and $1,000 gift card. With this promotion, we could still have our June trip, assuming we could find an opening at a DVC resort for that time period, and we could apply the money budgeted and being saved for that trip towards the DVC purchase. Mrs. T and I need to discuss this a bit more. :confused3 Thoughts, positive or negative, from those of you with more DVC knowledge?

Hope everyone is feeling better! I'll probably pop back in later when I need a break from staring at documents for work.

Happy Birthday to:

Hope it's a magical one!

MEL:banana:

This is your daily "crazy mel" update. I was feeling GREAT all evening. Watched my taped Lipstick Jungle in bed and then snuggled down for a sleep. This was all good. Till about 5 am when I woke up and the dang panic was back. :confused3 I took 1/2 a pill and went back to sleep till 8. I'm up now and I feel a bit wobbly but ok. I am still hoping for today to be a good day. I never realized that anxiety could be like this. Makes me feel that much worse for SD's trials this summer.
Go see the Dr tomorrow Mel

then A's Bday party, and Bday dinner at Texas Roadhouse with the ILs. It's really not going to be so bad since the party is at the theater. It should be fun! :yay:
Have fun and I'm glad DD's show went well :goodvibes

 Morning Fockers.
Evening Jen :wave2:

The last one left around 10:30 or so this morning. Mrs. T, DS6 and I were up around 7:45 to make a large batch of eggs, biscuits and grits for 12.
OMG you brave man having 12 kids sleepover :faint:

I've started a blog about my Moms Panel stuff if anyones interested click here and please comment!

Not quite so bad, only eight were third grade girls. Mrs. T had the hard part as she was point chaperon. The breakfast count included me, Mrs. T, DS6, DD11 and her friend who slept over. Oops, I guess the breakfast count should have been 13. What's one more when you're cooking for a dozen?

I've started a blog about my Moms Panel stuff if anyones interested click here and please comment!
And, yet another computer application... ;)

I've skimmed enough to get the jest of things

Well, Looks like the gals all have SOMETHING... I'm not "Sick" maybe because I have not been around in like a WEEK...

Not feeling good but it's just my joints that all ache. Blood work came back normal with the exception of my Sodium is LOW... HOW DID THAT HAPPEN.
I'm changing my diet some and hopefully I'll feel like working out again.

Got the Disney Blues... I really really want to be there NOW.. :sad1: But honestly... I do not think I could walk it. Cortisone shot did not help enough. Just elevated my blood sugar levels.. making me feel horrible. Got a taste of how a diabetic feels. NOT A GOOD FEELING.

Have we started cards and ornaments and what not yet ?? If we have I missed that announcement.. and I need addresses.

Catch ya later.

Have fun Jen and V... even if you are under the weather.

Evening everybody!

Just touching base. Had a good day today. I brought SD to his lesson at 1pm. Made a quick stop at the pharmacy for some decongestant for Gus (Gosh, you have to practically sign your life away for a bottle!!!) and then grabbed a dozen bagels from Panera Bread to take home and put in the freezer for this week. They are so good and a quick easy lunch for company.

On the way home we got a happy meal (we have successfully acquired EVERY Madagascar toy except the dang LEMUR!) and a coffee for my DEAR MIL who was home with poor, sick Gus.

The afternoon was relaxing. We played play-dough and then MIL and I watched 27 Dresses! (Shout out to Z! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!) We've now finished eating dinner (turkery burgers, fries and grapes) and I'm waiting on the boys to finish their showers so we can watch The Santa Clause.

It's weird, the panic is sort of there, but pushed way way back. I know I can handle it now. If I feel out of sorts tomorrow again I will call the Dr. (Although, I'm seeing the eye dr. at 12:30 because I think my pressure is up again! Gotta get this darn stitch out!!!)

Sorry to hear you aren't well, Katt. I hope you get better soon too.

Love to everyone. I'm thinking happy thoughts for me and YOU. (Poor V, is she still sick!? V!!!)

Shall we say all signs up by 11/26?

Ornamant: same as above except $5 before shipping.

I would suggest that gifts and ornaments are shipped by 12/18.

For the unwanted gift exchange, shall we say sign up by 12/25 and ship by 1/2?

So Mitch loved MVMCP! My DH has Disney in him somewhere. He only went for me, but after we road BTMRR twice in a row and then 2 more times, he was laughing! He even went on Splash with me and he was really impressed with the parade and fireworks. Hopefully it was just what he needed to releave some stress of work. My camera battery died, so I have pictures of the parade but not the fireworks. If they are any good, I'll post some.

So glad he liked it. He is turning to the Disney Side!

Guess I wasn't the only AWOL focker...

Nope....seems everyone has slowed down lately:confused:

Then I noticed that my eye pressure was up. So, I called the Dr and he added a drop until Monday when he wants to see me again. I'm a bit stressed over that because I don't know if that means he'll want to take out the stitch early....

Hope all goes well at the doctor:hug:

Last night was awful. I was awake all night, panicky. I should have just gotten up and taken something but I didn't and so by the time morning came I was a wreck. I took a 1/2 pill when I got up. The MIL saw that I was struggling and she came and sat with me and we chatted. It helped alot. (Well, that and the pill....)

Heading out to the airport soon to get DH. It sounds like it was a looooong flight back from Seattle last night. I don't know how people fly all night. I can't sleep anywhere but in a bed.

Hope he home safe and sound now:goodvibes

I've hoovered and dusted the whole house The things I get excited about :

You are the only person I know who gets excited about this!

It's like a ghost town around here Are you just waiting till I go to bed?

Nope. This is my first time back since my post early yesterday morning!

Now we're about to head over to C's show. So, I'll be gone. Now they'll talk, Jo.

Hope she did GREAT!:goodvibes

MIL is crocheting me a scarf. I knew there was a reason I invited her!

OH, and thank you thank you thank you for all the . I need them!

Here is some more just in case you need them:hug:

Hi Peeps! Andy called me today to tell me he met up with his brother and had an interesting conversation. Without getting into too much detail, Andy hasn't seen/spoken to his father since Evan was about 7 months old & Maddie was 3 yrs old. Well, now apparently he wants to see our kids. Mind you, our kids have no idea they have a grandfather on that side. Personally, I don't want to open that can of worms, KWIM? And this might sound really beyotchy, but my kids don't need him and I know that this will end badly and Andy and I will be left to pick up the piece and do damage control for our kids. He never keeps his word and will duck out of the picture when he feels like it.

Grrrr.... I just don't know what to do. I hate to be the mean person here, and I think Andy's on the same page as me, but he's hard to read when it comes to his family. I could careless if he wants to see/talk to his dad, but I'm a protective Mama Bear and I worry about what could happen. Am I being paranoid??

Do what you got to do to protect your kids:goodvibes  Go with your instincts!

Last year I participated in the madness. If I avoid the ads, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy; don't know if I will be able to resist. I have a hard time passing up free-after-rebate electronics, computer components and/or software. One of my hobbies is building computers from spare and scrounged parts, so I pick up parts whenever I see a really good deal, particularly for FREE. Now, I'm not only an attorney, but a geek as well...

:rotfl2: The first thing I do Thankgiving morning is get the paper and plan my attack

Joining the Sick Club! My DH and DD both are sick, sick and we leave in just 4 more sleeps! My kids never get sick, why now?

Oh no Jen:hug: Prayers going out that all are well before you leave:goodvibes

Well we woke to snow But now it's chucking it down and all gone

That's my kind of snow:thumbsup2

We are having Thanksgiving today with my brother.

Hope it was fun:goodvibes

Morning all. Wish I could say I'm feeling better.... but I'm not. Now I'm running a fever. I'm doing the unthinkable: making detailed touring plans for my mother in case SHE has to take Leo to the parks while I rest in the hotel!

Oh no V:hug: . Will Gramma actually follow a touring plan:confused:

I've started a blog about my Moms Panel stuff if anyones interested click here and please comment!

Will check it out when I get a chance!

Have we started cards and ornaments and what not yet ?? If we have I missed that announcement.. and I need addresses.

Slate hasn't sent anything out yet!

Feel better Katt!

=======================================================

Hi everyone. I am back, sort of. Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen (not only cleaned, but organized the pantry and everything ), cleaned the powder room, murphy oiled the hardwood floor and had the furniture delivered :woohoo: <---------------for the furniture delivery not the cleaning Jo;) . After it was delivered we went to the mall to look for curtains and a rug. Had dinner at the food court and then checked out Macy's and Boscov's. Neither had curtains that I liked. We wound up going to bed bath and beyond and they had exactly what I wanted! Then we went to Lowe's and found an area rug so we got that too. Afterwards we went to Barnes and Noble so Jimy ould get a book for his 100 book challenge. We wound up meeting another little girl from his class and staying in the bookstore much longer than intended and didn't get home until almost 9:00pm :faint:

Got up this morning and started cleaning again. I cleaned Jimmy's room, our room, and the bathroom. It is all done:yay: .

I haven't taken pictures of the room yet becasue all the pictures and things still need to be put up, but as soon as they are up I will take them and post them.

I love how it turned out:lovestruc .

Hope all the sickies are feeling better:hug: Back to work and school tomorrow so I will check in when I can!:thumbsup2

You know how you are in a real good sleep and you are dreaming and in the dream you hear a noise? And it gets louder and louder until you wake up a figure out that the noise is real. Today it was my Doogles chopping a rutabaga on a glass cutting board. Clank, Clank, Clank. Let's just say I was not happy and he found that out. Why, oh why can't he shut the bedroom door when he is going to do something like that? I've worked 12hr nights for 8 years with one 6 month exception. He knows my sleep patterns. Sheez!
Plus I woke up with a huge headache. Still have it a little.
Sorry Fockers I did not hit the Hoosier lottery either.
The pep has pooped in me today!

Found this on photobucket. The bad thing about Florida...

If i have missed you, or if you are on the wrong list, please let me know.

I'm pooped. We had an early Turkey day and I am trying to get my holiday decorations up. My head is a spinning!

Thanks for all of the Happy Birthdays for Tink. Her actual b-day is wednesday. Who said they also had a wednesday b-day child?

That would be me. DD8 turns 9 on Wednesday. She's on the left in both pictures. She just turned 7 in the first, and she was 3.5 in the earlier one.
