Thx! Good morning (oops almost afternoon) now!Bye Mr. T!
It's that Murphy's law thing. We'd have all been better off if Murphy had just kept his mouth shut... Sorry to hear about the illness. Feel better!Joining the Sick Club!My DH and DD both are sick, sick and we leave in just 4 more sleeps! My kids never get sick, why now?
No character appearances for us, but DD8's party was a success. I'm not sure how late they all stayed up, but if I had to guess, they were up chatting and giggling until around 2:30AM, despite Mrs. T's best efforts to get them situated and ready to sleep after the American Girl movie at around 11:30.Cinderella came yesterday to Tinks party. Although she wasn't near as good as the real deal, the kids still had fun. We now have just about every Princess toy ever licensed by Disney.![]()
She'll actually turn 9 on Wed., and we're planning on going out for dinner that night.
Tink

It's also Mrs. T's birthday tomorrow.
We'll be going out to dinner, but she hasn't said where yet. She already got her b-day present already. At the moment, she's trying to get an hour or so nap after the party last night.Ditto.I have got to see and READ Twilight. Must keep up with you Fockers!
Sorry to hear that you've got some illnesses running around. So, everyone is sick. Here, too.
Took DS to the doctor Thursday and he has strep throat. No symptoms at all. I checked him out of school at lunch for his dr appt b/c I wanted to get him a flu shot and have them look at his throat because his breath was smelling really foul. They took a strep test and it was positive. This same thing happened 2 years ago, only I got strep 3 times before the doctors and I realized the issue was strep.
Then, Friday morning ds cut his finger with the scissors. He is the kid I can trust to leave stuff like that alone, so I was surprised. I should have taken him to get stitches, but I didn't. I called the pediatrician who told me she doesn't do stitches, but would look at it and see if she thought I should take him for stitches. Well, this happened at 6:30am and the immediate care centers around here don't open until 8am. I didn't want to take him to the ER for a cut on the finger. I couldn't tell how deep it was and we got the bleeding to stop, but I see today that it is pretty deep. He says he learned his lesson and will never touch the scissors again.
Mr Diz is all stressed out at work. I asked him if he wanted to go to SC on Wednesday, instead of Friday and leave the kids with my family and the two of us go to the beach for Wed and Thursday night. Then my sister called and I mentioned it to her. She said we can use her condo. I didn't even think about asking her to stay there. Anyway, I think we are going to do it. She does not have an ocean view, but it's free!
Yikes about the cut. It always worries me when the kids get the scissors out, I know they do because they always forget to put them away...
Wow on the condo and kids with family! Sounds like a great idea to relieve some stress and not add to it because of expense. Have a blast if you can swing it!
My best guess is between 2:30 and 3AM. I'm not going to wake up Mrs. T at the moment to verify. The last one left around 10:30 or so this morning. Mrs. T, DS6 and I were up around 7:45 to make a large batch of eggs, biscuits and grits for 12.Sounds great, so what time did they all go to sleep last night???
When are their actual bdays? Aiden's is on Thanksgiving this year. He doesn't seem to notice. We're celebrating the day before here at home. I always do a big dinner of the birthday child's choice, then we do gifts and dessert. It's nice to make a big deal out of it.
Aiden

Mrs. T's b-day is tomorrow. DD8's b-day is Wednesday. Her b-day will fall on Thanksgiving next year.
------------------------------------------
I've got lunch in the oven for the few members of the family who actually told me what they wanted. After that, it's pretty much rest, recovery and clean-up from the party. I'm sure sometime this afternoon Mrs. T will take DD8 to Target to get a b-day present from us (plus one DVD we already have to return and a gift card); DD8 should be able to have a pretty nice Target shopping spree.
Then, I think Mrs. T and I are going to have to get some work work done this evening.
I'm also contemplating whether DVC may make sense for us. We got an e-mail offer that if we buy in before Jan. 15, we get a "free" vacation (5-nights) and $1,000 gift card. With this promotion, we could still have our June trip, assuming we could find an opening at a DVC resort for that time period, and we could apply the money budgeted and being saved for that trip towards the DVC purchase. Mrs. T and I need to discuss this a bit more.
Thoughts, positive or negative, from those of you with more DVC knowledge?Hope everyone is feeling better!
I'll probably pop back in later when I need a break from staring at documents for work.
Bye Mr. T!

But honestly... I do not think I could walk it. Cortisone shot did not help enough. Just elevated my blood sugar levels.. making me feel horrible. Got a taste of how a diabetic feels. NOT A GOOD FEELING.
.
I know you're house looks awesome!

He says he swalled a popcan Tab !!
