Just finished reading. but i have a lot to do. Homework, studying, and whatever. ug. Very stressed and tired this weekend. Just got to make it through the week.

You can do it!

OMG! We have mice :scared1:

We always get a few in the winter, but they stay in the basement, thankfully.

Not much going on here. I hope you all had a decent day. You're a great group. :hippie:

Thanks, hope you had a nice day, too!

Now if I can only get my friends organized and on the same page as me. lol.

You know what you have to do... :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

*****************************************************
Good morning!

The kids are on the bus and D's walking the dog.

I didn't share two of the more interesting things about our day yesterday.

The first is a funny. I had found a little state park which allowed pets and fishing, but we'd never been before. It was about 45 minutes from the house - no problem.

Well, D got a portable GPS from his mom for his birthday - planning on uploading the lake charts into it and using it a lot on the boat, but it's obviously a portable one and we've been playing with it in the car. I was excited to find the state park listed as a destination, so I popped it in, but never looked at the overall route (it just starts at the house and never shows you the whole route unless you ask for it...)

So, it took us on the major state east-west highway, rather than the north-south interstate, which was what I kind of expected, but I figured that it might have a "better" way. We were about 3 miles from the ocean when we looked at the final destination and realized that the park it was leading us to was NOT where we meant to go - the GPS database was totally wrong. :headache: (And it wasn't that I'd put in the wrong park, the NAME was right, the location, well, no... :rotfl:)

SO, we'd already driven a good 45 minutes and then had to backtrack another 40 or so.

It was an adventure. :rolleyes1

The other thing is a little less funny. We might have just gone to the ocean side park, except that I had specifically looked for one that allowed dogs, and so of course the dog was in the van with us.

He did fine through the walk and the fishing, but when we were walking back, he saw a couple of women with a Rottweiler and an extremely overweight corgi.

He was really was pulling and straining to get to them. We were really on him, making him heel, trying to calm him down. It was weird - he's always been pretty friendly to other dogs - and as we approached, I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, he's not usually this excitable."

The younger woman had the Rotty, and she allowed her dog to approach. We probably should have said, "No, he's too worked up," but we let them smell each other. Then the fight started. :scared1: They got tangled up with their leashes, couldn't back off, and panicked totally. I honestly thought our dog was done for. D got them apart - he got scraped up by the other dog's pronged collar, so there was blood all over. It was scary! Probably nobody's fault, but yikes.

Our dog's good, except that we think he's a little bruised (he was not bitten, which is good.)

Anyway, by the time we'd sorted that - plus the whole stupid GPS issue - it was really too late to go out to eat on a school night, so we ditched the Mexican restaurant plan in favor of grilling some salmon. Yum. We'll try to go out tomorrow night (since it was as much behavior reward as Mother's Day celebration) - the kids have their one weeknight ball game tonight.

I have nothing planned today, except a trip to the store. Buzz's milk was curdled this morning. :scared: :rotfl:(Luckily, he saw it before he drank it.) D is talking about heading to the office.

Hope everyone's had a good start to the day! I'll be around.

Tracey - How scary but glad you guys are safe.

Rosie - Glad your family is home safe and sound and :woohoo: to the upcoming trip!

 Hi Carrie, Mel and CE, Kristal & Kat!

Sam - Good Luck with school and :yay: to the Wii.

Debra - :scared1: My cat kills all the mice that come into our house. I posted proof on TFW where she got 2 in one night. :rotfl:

:wave2: and  to all I missed.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Absolutely nothing planned today. DR is still sleeping so I'm putting the news on and taking a cat nap on the couch until he gets up. I didn't get to sleep in yesterday so this is close enough. :rotfl:

Linds missed school on Friday because she was sick and she tried saying she was sick today as well. I told don't even start and that she is doing. If she gets sick at school then of course I would go pick her up but I think she'll live and just wasn't wanting to get up this morning.

OK...I'm off! Hope y'll have a good Monday! :cutie:

CE - :rotfl: to the GPS story. We used ours a lot when we lived in TX and never really had problems wth it. Once we moved back home to OH we didn't really need it since we pretty much know where everything is but it would be fun to use it anyways and there were many times it was wrong. :confused3They're still helpful though.

And how scary about the dog! :scared1: Glad he's OK but poor puppy.

Hi there Fockers!

I took the weekend off from computing, so I had much catching up to do.:yay::cheer2::worship: to all who need it!

Is it time for a new thread? Should we let this one run down some more, tempt fate?! Nah, I'll get working on it. ;)

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms! :grouphug:

I hope she's OK. Woody was pulling the same thing this morning - despite the fact that over the weekend, waking up WELL before school time was fine.

Yeah, we don't need it much here, but D keeps hoping it will show us quicker ways to normal stuff, since we still aren't "native" to the area, if YKWIM. And I really should have checked the destination BEFORE we got that far! :rotfl:

And how scary about the dog! :scared1: Glad he's OK but poor puppy.

::yes:: I think he's still a little traumatized. He's not got any injuries - we've checked very thoroughly - but he is jumpy and weird today.

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms! :grouphug:

You, too! See you at the new one!

I'm so behind... What does a friend request mean and why do I only have one from one of you?
