Here's to getting someone in here tommorrow and that it won't be costing a fortune to fix. I'm sure we'll be charged more since its a weekend. UGH!

That stinks.

He should have kept his mouth shut. thanks to him i had to write a lengthy mushy message back to my friend and get all upset again.

Sorry i ranted. I sometimes think i need a diary to go off in instead of on all you guys.:rotfl:

Nah, we're a good sounding board. :)

Oh my gosh, do any of you watch Private Practice? That is definitely not something I have ever seen done on a tv show before.

I watch sporadically, but didn't see the last few. Sounds interesting!

Have a Happy Saturday everyone!!!

You, too, and a  for Chi.

Well I'm off to get ready for the day. Hope y'all have a good weekend! :goodvibes

You, too!

I'd better get back to work before the whole family stops working since mom's relaxing! :rotfl:

I know how that goes. ;) Have fun packing!

Glad you and she survived! Hope that you guys enjoy your movie night.

Thanks, it should be fun.

I'm off to pick up SD. You guys have a great day! Tomorrow is our 5K walk for Camp. Hope the rain holds off!

Walk well!

***************************************************
Baseball started at 9:00 and went the full two hours, but I have to say it is SO much better than our t-ball system. In t-ball, we didn't count outs and every kid batted every inning (12-14 kids) and so it was awful - slow, no real reason to make plays, etc...

This level of machine-pitch baseball, outs count, so it was much quicker moving and more exciting for us to watch and the kids to play. :thumbsup2

We do not do "Little League" - our town does the "Cal Ripken" league, and I think the rules are vastly different. Even though the outs count, we still don't keep score and there are no umps. :confused3

Anyway, that ended and we've just been kind of vegging. The neighbor girl turned up, we've eaten lunch as people get hungry, and we are just hanging loose. We'll need to leave a bit after 5:00 for the movie night. :thumbsup2

I want a nap. We didn't fall asleep until well after 1:00, and then had to get up for baseball... :rolleyes1:lmao:

Have a good afternoon, everyone! :grouphug:

Here's what I got:

8/1 - Chef Mickey's ;)
8/4 - Sci-fi Dine In ;)
Good job scoring those tough ones! ;):rotfl2:

Since Spoodles won't be open, I had to find an alternate. I tried to get 1900PF for 8/2, but they didn't have anything available for dinner, so I pulled The Wave right outta my head. I don't know why, but that was all I could think of in a moments notice. :confused3
Totally worth trying IMO. I was sick and couldn't taste much of my filet, but Gramma said it was good and loved her vegetable stew thing. :thumbsup2

Did you really have to call Narc's directly? I didn't, but I've read of others needing to. WTH is wrong with their system?!

So, we're packing and cleaning today. I'm cleaning and closing off rooms. LOL The kids go to my mom's on Monday and the moving trucks come Thursday morning. :thumbsup2

I'd better get back to work before the whole family stops working since mom's relaxing! :rotfl:

Good luck and have fun! :thumbsup2

She's taking over Spoodles place and calling it Kuzzina (sp?)- it's going to be a Greek place, I think. Sounds like we'd love it, but I'm not sure when it's going to be open.

Ooooo...sounds good. :thumbsup2

They didn't put me to sleep. They are all up and through the skin. They didn't have to do any cutting. Only 2 little dissolving stitches in each "hole". They used novocaine to numb it and then gas to take off the "fear edge." I was fine. Didn't feel a thing (after the Novocaine needles, that is...)
Sorry about the plumbing. I'd report them to the BBB if it was me!
Hope they fix it today!

:thumbsup2 Glad your feeling a lot better today and not in a lot of pain.

And yes, I was either going to call the BBB or call the pumbling place on Monday and let them know what happened at that was so not right. I couldn't do anything...no dishes, no laundry, no baths, nothing. We're good now though. :thumbsup2

We don't count outs either, nor runs since each kid gets to bat. How many innings did you have? We normally have 2 (or would it be 4?) Each time bats twice.

********************************************

Well Mr.RotoRooter came and fixed the clogged pipes. Who knew I would get so excited over being able to wash clothes and run the dishwasher. I had a huge mess to clean up in the kithcen sink and bathtub but at least its working now.

Linds is still at her t-ball games and I don't know if DR and I should walk down there or not. Its almost 2PM and I thought they'd be done by now. Who knows? My dad took her and I bet they went out on the road after it.

I'm kind of bummed that I'm missing Lindsey's games but I would have been mad had I come home after being there and had to clean up the mess that was left behind.

Well, Linds is home. I'll be back later on. :)

We did 4 innings or 2 hours - we usually got three in within the time frame.

Today, with outs, we got 5 innings in. :thumbsup2

Glad your plumbing's fixed! :goodvibes

Good job scoring those tough ones! ;):rotfl2:
Yeah, it was tough... but thankfully I have an insider working with me. :lmao:

Totally worth trying IMO. I was sick and couldn't taste much of my filet, but Gramma said it was good and loved her vegetable stew thing. :thumbsup2

Did you really have to call Narc's directly? I didn't, but I've read of others needing to. WTH is wrong with their system?!

Ok, so in keeping tradition, The Wave is gone. I've actually called Dining 5 times today. I think I need to start a PTR. :lmao:

Ok, here's the deal on Narc's. If you have a party of 10 or more, you need to call the restaurant directly. If not, you can go through dining. I got 2 different ressie numbers, but was promised they would have a large table set up for us. :confused3:thumbsup2

I have the movers coming Thursday!
OMG :faint: That's fantastic though!!!

Not much planned for the weekend. Jimmy has his first TBall game tomorrow. He is excited becasue he should get his shirt and hat. Keep your fingers crossed that it doens't rain.
OK humour me what's Tball? :rotfl2:

I was just forwarded an email from a friend about someone I used to be friends with that has a brain tumor. They just learned of this two weeks ago, had surgery, and he had a stroke after the surgery. He is in the coma and is not expected to wake up. He has a one year old and a 4 year old.
I'm so sorry that's terrible, good idea to send a card

So, they yanked out the wisdom today! LOL, Kristel!!!
I feel way dumber now. LOL
:rotfl2: Glad it went well and you're feeling fine already!!!

sorry you got burned. do they have sunscreen in England :rotfl2::rotfl2: Sorry :flower3:
Hey :rotfl: Actually they've forecast a long hot summer, not like England at all :rotfl:

As for the wedding plans, you have to do what you and DF WANT to do. If that means waiting until after you are done vet school, so be it. THe length of an engagement doesn't matter, the actual wedding doesn't matter, what other people think doesn't matter...do what you want. If you want to get married now, and its financially feasible - Do it. If it is better for you to wait until after graduation - do that! Don't let anyone else dictate what you and DF want/need.
SAM that's great advice!!

Hi, all! I read through and wasn't going to quote, but then people started missing me and I felt I needed to comment!
Good

I called the plumber this afternoon and they said he would be here by 2:30. He calls me and tells me it will be later since he has to go to another job before he gets here. OK no problem, I'll be here. The guy shows up at 3 and is here for maybe 15 minutes then tells me he can't fix it and has to go get another guy to help him out with it. OK, fine, we'll be here. 6:00 rolls around and this guy never shows back up. I call the company and they have some other plumber call me and to see if he could help. He makes a few phone calls and calls me back and says nope, the guy with the snake on his truck can't be found and for me to call another company to help me out but please remember them in the future for plumbing problems. :sad2: Uh yeah, sure...I highly doubt that will happen and will be telling everyone not to use them.
Glad it's all sorted but wow that was bad service!

Sorry i ranted. I sometimes think i need a diary to go off in instead of on all you guys.

Oh my gosh, do any of you watch Private Practice? That is definitely not something I have ever seen done on a tv show before.
Hi Lessa, come chat more we miss you

Yup... It's me... up at the butt crack of stupid just to get my ADR's.
See here 7am EST is midday, it's a right drag having to wait all morning to call :rolleyes1:rotfl2: Glad you got everything you wanted!

well Chi didn't make cheerleading. I have to tell her today and am not sure how she will take it. I was pretty upset last nigth about it and DH was making fun of me for taking it so seriously. I know it is unrealistic but I want my kids to succeed in everything they try and I don't want them to ever be disappointed
Oh no but as Mel sais it's also good for them, Ellie used to get chosen for everything, was great at everything etc so the one time she didn't get chosen it was actually a great learning curve for her! Hope she's not too upset though!

We do not do "Little League" - our town does the "Cal Ripken" league, and I think the rules are vastly different. Even though the outs count, we still don't keep score and there are no umps. :confused3
You know how some of you get confused with my golf, well huh??? :rotfl2:

Ok, so in keeping tradition, The Wave is gone. I've actually called Dining 5 times today. I think I need to start a PTR.
Oh T :rotfl2:

The girls helped me pull their trampoline out today, it's in a corner of our garden in a bit of a hole so we take it out each year to gve it a clean, I can't believe how much bigger the garden is without the trampoline there :rotfl2:

I've heard there is a Mother's Day pressie on the way, when is your Mother's Day? but as it's a holiday weekend again here it'll be ages before I get mine :sad2: I'm not very good at waiting :rotfl2:

OK humour me what's Tball? :rotfl2:

It's like our baseball, but it's really little kids, so instead of hitting a ball that's thrown to them, they hit it off a giant tee (like your golf tee :thumbsup2.)

You know how some of you get confused with my golf, well huh??? :rotfl2:

Hmm... Well, it's sort of like cricket - the fielding team can throw the ball or catch a hit ball to make an "out" and there are 3 outs per side. Except not in t-ball, because it's too "traumatizing" or something.

I've heard there is a Mother's Day pressie on the way, when is your Mother's Day? but as it's a holiday weekend again here it'll be ages before I get mine :sad2: I'm not very good at waiting :rotfl2:

Mother's Day here is a week from tomorrow. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry. I have been reading as I can, but not having time to post. With the kids and D home 24/7, plus baseball and so forth... Sigh.

They need to go back to work and school;)

(Oh, and I never left stepMIL alone in the house, so it was an uneventful visit, and she did indeed survive!

:lmao:

Sorry i ranted. I sometimes think i need a diary to go off in instead of on all you guys.

THat's what we are here for ::yes::

Oh my gosh, do any of you watch Private Practice? That is definitely not something I have ever seen done on a tv show before.

Don't watch it...what happenedpopcorn::

The new system went pretty smooth. I was in at exactly 4am and hung up at 4:15:29. Got everything except Spoodles. I think it's going to be under refurb at that time making the switch to Cat Cora's new place. My nephews are going to be bummed out!

Where is Cat COra's place going to be?

Good luck with your game today. Unfortunately Chi didn't make it. I haven't told her yet

Awww, sorry she didn't make it

So, we're packing and cleaning today. I'm cleaning and closing off rooms. LOL The kids go to my mom's on Monday and the moving trucks come Thursday morning.

I'd better get back to work before the whole family stops working since mom's relaxing! [/COLOR]

You need some yellow crime scene tape to keep them out of rooms once they are clean:thumbsup2

Here's what I got:

7/31 - Le Chefs de France
8/1 - Chef Mickey'
8/2 - The Wave
8/3 - Tutto Italia
8/4 - Sci-fi Dine In
8/4 - Narcoossee's
8/5 - 'Ohana
8/6 - Boma
8/7 - Turf Club

Looks good. No way you can add on the 8th, 9th and 10th:sad2:

Hello. Last night was good. I took Advil at 6 pm and was fine all night. No pain at all. Even this morning, without anything. No pain. My Dr. called me last night to see how I was doing. So sweet. Didn't know Drs still did that!
I got up about 8 am and made homemade blueberry muffins and a pot of coffee. Delish. (Even though I had to soak mine in coffee and swallow it that way.

Do you have to go back for a check up, or can you just start eating when you feel comfortable?

Have a good afternoon, everyone! :grouphug:

Have fun at the movie!

We don't count outs either, nor runs since each kid gets to bat. How many innings did you have? We normally have 2 (or would it be 4?) Each time bats twice.

This is what we do too!

Well Mr.RotoRooter came and fixed the clogged pipes. Who knew I would get so excited over being able to wash clothes and run the dishwasher. I had a huge mess to clean up in the kithcen sink and bathtub but at least its working now.

:yay::yay:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

OK humour me what's Tball? :rotfl2:

In T-Ball, there is usually no pitcher; except perhaps for defensive purposes. The ball is placed on an adjustable tee atop the home plate at a suitable height for the batter to strike. (In some clubs, adult coaches give the batter an opportunity to try and hit a few pitched balls before going to the tee in the hope that this will further develop batting skills.) Most of the other rules are similar or identical to those of baseball, though the game is played on a smaller field.

In many organizations, score is not kept and rules are designed to maximize participation: an inning is completed once each child has had a turn at bat and all extra players of the defensive team play in the outfield every inning. To encourage the defensive team to try to make plays, there are typically no extra bases on overthrows and runners may not advance after the ball is in possession of an infielder.

T-Ball allows male and female players too young to participate in baseball to enjoy a game posing many of the same challenges, and to develop skills that will later be useful in playing baseball. It has become an important part of many baseball clubs, particularly in countries where there is no strong tradition of a sporting draft and where it is therefore more important for clubs to develop junior players.

SAM that's great advice!!

Awww...thanks:upsidedow

MOther's Day here is next Sunday. Thanks for the reminder. I need to go order flowers for the mother and MIL.

=======================================================

T Ball went really well. Jimmy had fun and he participated:yay: Each team got 2 at bats before it started raining:sad2: I'll post pics in a bit. Afterwards we went to McD's for lunch, then we took Jimmy to Monsters vs. ALiens in IMAX 3-D. Cute movie. Jimmy really liked it. AFter that we went to the DIsney store. They have Kids T-Shirts for sale for $2.99 if anyone needs them. I got a couple of cute summer tops for my girlfriends daughter's birthday for $5.00 each!:thumbsup2 Jimmay got some power rangers and wall-e figures. I could have gotten alot more, but since mothers day is next week and my birthdya in June I gave Jim lots of ideas;)

Hope everyone is having a good day. Check back later!:goodvibes

Here are the T-Ball pictures. I am pnly posting the one's of jimmy by himself, this way I don't have to worry about blocking out any other kids;)

Batting the wrong way until momy stepped in...the coach insisted he should hit right handed:confused3

Not much going on here, and apparently not much much going on on the thread either!

We are waiting for a guy to come pick up some of my wrestling shirts i am selling on good old craigslist, thats a quick $25! I have some honey BBQ ribs in the crock for dinner, and the leftovers are going to be made into burritos for tomorrow! YUM.

Last night the funniest thing ever went on here, between KC and his brother. KC's brother is older but acts like a 12 year old when it comes to being a tough guy, and being right. So KC tries to explain a simple thing about the phone they both have, to his bro, and he doesn't understand. So he gets all bent out of shape and starts text messaging KC saying rude things like "he's a [expletive]" and he's gonna "whoop his a#$". KC replies with "I just whooped your phone's a#$" and sent him like a bunch of spam messages with a program he has on the phone. His brother FLIPPED OUT. Over a text message. Screaming on the phone about respect and how KC is "getting too big for his britches". It was hilarious but it really upset KC. It's just the way his bro is about everything, and it made for a cranky KC because his bro wouldn't even talk on the phone about it, he was so bent out of shape.

I do not wish to ever be in a room with his bro again, if i can help it. I'm quiet about m,ost things but when you mess with my husband I can't shut up. This is the bro that left our wedding early, never spoke to me, never came to our house, ignored KC fro close to 2 years and then starts acting like a tough guy over nothing. I don't play that carp.

Anyways, i thought you'd all get a good laugh at the silliness of the story. I'm off to catch up on my threads.

I'm reading a funny book right now. It's called "Everything I need to know, I learned from Judy Blume." It's a collection of stories by women's authors (meg cabbot, etc.) about how Judy Blume books shaped their lives. It's hilarious!!! And pretty interesting, as I grew up with those books and still refer back to them on occasion!
sounds good! maybe ill look for it.

Well at least you cleared things up with her in the end! The Luau party sounds awesome- you should make Lapu's! ;)

i have a busy afternoon ahead of me. I have to clean, and play catch up with my homework. I have a week of notes to copy and about 30 notcards to make. then i have a pre-lab and post-lab, and stats homework. grrr! so much. But hopefully ill get it all done today. I told marc to stay down in our hometown for this week so he could go to a baseball game, and i can be super productive since hes not here.;)

everyone have an awesome saturday!

Debra - for Chi. I must have missed your post but saw it in other quotes.

:thumbsup2 Do you have Mother's Day in England?

I had to do a report in the 4th grade about Mother's Day for WV History. Mother's Day was started in a church in Grafton, WV by Anna Jarvis. Yes, this has stuck with my for years. LOL Plus, every year in church they would print this in the bulletin because it was a Methodist church. LOL

Sounds like a good day. Does Jimmy just hit off the tee or does the coach do a combo? With Lindsey the coach picthes 3-4 times and then they pull out the tee.

And the pics were awesome! He looks like he loved showing his uniform off. :goodvibes

 Hi to all I missed.

*********************************************************

Kids have been fed and are in the tub. I'm about to get them out and then we'll watch Fairly Odd Parents Wishology.

My dad reported back that Linds did great in T-ball. She played first base and tagged someone out. The hit the ball once when the coach pitched to her and then hit from the tee the second time around. She's getting better each time. :)

I haven't heard much from DR today about his daddy. :yay: I hooked our web cam up last night and he talked to him for about half an hour on that. He started in on it this morning but once the plumber showed up he more than happy to follow that poor guy around. :rotfl: Then my dad started doing stuff with the cable and DR was busy following him around. So hopefully tomorrow will be even better. :woohoo:

OK...gotta get the kids out before they flood my bathroom.

Night everyone!

Just the T this year. Coaches pitch next year!

Yea Jimmy! :cool1: He's so cute! But doesn't the coach know now is the time to learn switch hitting? ;)

Thanks Angela. He catches/throws right and hits left:confused3

Kat - Yep he has grown alot since August!

Really Bad night here !! Judy is not doing well at all !! I am really worried about her !! think she' s filing for divorce next week!! Can't go into many details ! But lots of HUGS needed !!!

I dont know who judy is but it sounds like she needs some support.:hug::hug:

Thank you for saying buttcrack of stupid and not my name. ;)
:rotfl2::rotfl2:
You're such a good mommy! I know how you feel. B and C both have try outs for the new dance team next week. C is a shoo in sinc she's one of the oldest on the team, but B is one of 20 trying out for 13 spots. I'm a nervous wreck! :guilty:
Thank you.
So, we're packing and cleaning today. I'm cleaning and closing off rooms. LOL The kids go to my mom's on Monday and the moving trucks come Thursday morning. :thumbsup2

Oh, they totally put me to sleep and had to cut all 4 of my wisdom teeth and pull another one.
I hear you, but it's good for them to fail sometimes. Painful yes, but not unbearable. for you having to be the one to TELL her though!
Thank you. I told her and she actually took it well.
Hello. Last night was good. I took Advil at 6 pm and was fine all night. No pain at all. Even this morning, without anything. No pain. My Dr. called me last night to see how I was doing. So sweet. Didn't know Drs still did that! :confused3

Baseball started at 9:00 and went the full two hours, but I have to say it is SO much better than our t-ball system. In t-ball, we didn't count outs and every kid batted every inning (12-14 kids) and so it was awful - slow, no real reason to make plays, etc...
Thanks. And our tball keeps score and counts outs. We actually had one kid strike out today.

We're good now though. :thumbsup2
That's great

I'm so sorry that's terrible, good idea to send a card
I've heard there is a Mother's Day pressie on the way, when is your Mother's Day? but as it's a holiday weekend again here it'll be ages before I get mine :sad2: I'm not very good at waiting :rotfl2:
Thanks Jo. Mother's day is May 10th here. DH is working hard this time because he has my bday, Mother's day and our anniversary all within 3 weeks! I am so spoiled...

I'm sorry to hear about Chi! I hope it goes ok telling her!
Thanks. And Yikes about the BIL.

Janet, Cute pics of Jimmy. Thanks for sharing.

I had a lazy morning before heading out to the tball field. Chi met me there and asked if I went by the school last night. i said yes. Her friend was there and was very excited that she had made the team and wanted to know if Chi did. So she asked me if I saw her name and I had to say no baby I didn't. However, here they also have a dance team that you just sign up for (no tryouts) so I reinforced to her that she could still do that if she wanted to. She seemed to be ok with it but she doesn't normally show her emotions in public anyway so things may be different when she comes home tomorrow. We will see.
