Ack! Help!!! I've been puttering around on the DVC boards reading up on DVC. With closing only a few weeks away, I'm thinking about it again...


K was all for it while we were there, but now I'm going to have to convince him again. I told him we could make the down payment and save $2000 of our equity $ after closing to make payments from so it won't stress us out too much for the first year. That seems to have him thinking. I'll have to give up new paint and curtains and tile in the house, but I think slowly spend $50 a month on those things is worth it if I can do DVC, right?

Do you have to go back for a check up, or can you just start eating when you feel comfortable?

Well, the recovery papers say that the first day I should eat liquid only. Then day two I could have soft foods (mashed taters, pudding, pasta) and then it says to add foods as I feel comfortable.
I had some pasta (eh, weird. couldn't chew it)
chicken (ditto)
soup (good, and no chewing)
Eggs (good also, but probably should have gone with scrambled...)
I don't have to go back and see him unless I have a problem.

We did the walk to raise money for the Special Needs Camp today. We walked 2.5 miles. The weather was lovely, I enjoyed being with my boys in the sunshine.
The teeth are healing fine. I'm surprised how fast I seem to be healing.

Tomorrow I have to do a bunch of running around. Bob's bff from back in Boston is visiting with his GF on Wednesday. I promised myself that I wouldn't beotch and complain about this, but I am getting irritated. He invited his GF to our home without even asking. He's Bob's friend so I don't feel like I could say anything. She's a real drag (and almost my mother's age!!!!! OMG) and I can't for the life of me figure out WTH she wants to come here for! UGH. Anyway, I'm not really looking forward to their visit and they're here for FIVE DAYS! OMG.

The sellers of our new house decided not to let us lease the house until the roof is replaced. It's not getting replaced until Thursday. Then we'll have to do the appraisal and get it through underwriting. We're not going to know when our buyers want to close until Tuesday, but we're hoping to get it all ironed out so we don't have to live in a tent for a while.

Anyway... I'm going to eat ice cream.

Rainy and yucky here all day. it's just as well it's the week aunt flo is visiting me. Caught up on my dvr stuff this afternoon and we made a quick trip to the store for some eggplant so i can make some eggplant parm tomorrow.

The best thing that happened today is we sold all our old nintendo ds stuff and made $600!!! So I am about to head over to ebags.com and buy me a new vera (they are having a 20% off sale- hint hint).

JO says hubby had blood tests for his mysterious headaches. Jo had sticky golf Fri. She also has pink arms and white feet. Jo admits to trampolineing!

LORI had a clogged sink. It basically clogged the whole house. They finally got it fixed on Sat.

MrsTK is subbing a lot. Says it’s that time of the year.

DEB’s Chi had cheerleading tryouts on Fri. She didn’t make the squad. I’m sorry to hear that and about your x-friend. I’d send her a card anyway.

MIZ DIZ is ready for vacation. She had ants over for dinner.

T says her 90 day mark for ADRs was Saturday. She got everything but Narcossee’s and Spoodles. Narc’s wants you to call them direct with parties of 10 and over. Spoodles will be closed. Glad you got most of it and that Waldo is doing well.

JANET doesn’t like crunchy pasta. Jimmy did well with t-ball. Pics on pg 226, post #3389. They saw Monsters VS Aliens. She said it was cute and Jimmy liked it.

CEL BEL likes to snoop on FB. Her life is a roller coaster and she wants to know if it will ever stop. Her wedding friend found out she had been upset about being the guestbook girl. Goodluck with her and the school stuff!

KAT has a job interview on Thur. She got Bales ashes on Fri. It made her sad again. KC’s bro is a meathead! She is buying Vera W. with her Nintendo proceeds.

DAWN is super busy with the house move and closings. She’s thinking DVC again.

MEL wants me to go to MNSSHP as a hot cranky tourist. Her wisdom was yanked. She is doing good though. She is having some not-so-wanted company in a few days. What ever happened to manners?

CE has been busy. She forgot that clay sticks to sweat. They had baseball on Sat. She was ready for a nap in the afternoon. I was ready for a nap after reading all your posts. I was tired not bored.

ROSIE – I’m thinking of Judy!! And you!! My brother’s divorce was finalized on Saturday, my departed DDad’s B-day. It sux.

MO is back and not happy!!! “…new boss under the re-org and I am soooo not happy, the guy is an arrogant SOB, just makes decisions with no input and not really understanding the situation. I have been taking on more clients and have found out my client load is increasing 6x. Yep, I have will 6 times as many as I did last year, and I get 2 more staff members, yeah, that will help. Nobody is happy and all are feeling completely overwhelmed. I just don't know how we are going to be successful.” Plus she hurt her back. She has a meathead for a brother too. She is def. ready for vacation. I'm so sorry about all of this!!!!

LESSA bought a fury swimsuit!!! I read the first line and saw the picture of the ground hog. All I could think was no wonder she's uncomfortable in it. Beautiful flowers!! Page 228, Post #3420.

Well something unexpected happened to me the other afternoon. Both of the manuals I got for my car, one from Kia and one from the dealer's service department, recommened that the fuel filter be changed at 40,000 miles. So I called the dealership and asked for an appointment. The girl on the line, who liked to call me sweety, said I didn't need to bring it in until it started to act up. Really? She said it would be covered under warranty at that point. I said, "Well that's fine as long as I don't end up stopped on the side of the road." She said I would be able to tell when it was time. Uh, OK. I guess they didn't want my money that bad. That's got to be a first! Fine with me.

Doug said he has never had to replace one in any vehicle he ever owned. I told him he could have saved me a phone call. He knew what I was calling them about. That's my Doug! A plethora of information when I don't need it anymore!

Despite the soggy yard, I did get it mowed on Sat. I left some mud trails, I don't care. I worked on some outdoor lights that had broken and pulled more weeds. Plus I helped the Doug put in the new gate. It still needs a little adjusting but the sun was going down and we hadn't eaten yet. It was 8:30 PM by the time I got out of the shower and cooked something.

We've decided to do a patio with tumbled stone instead of a deck in the back of the house. Our nephew does this kind of stuff for a living. He is coming out some time this week to see if it can be done. It should cost a lot less than a deck made of the composit material. We will still have an octagon deck for the umbrella table. We can do that next year. I want to get something done back there this year. I'm tired of looking at mud and weeds. I miss my hot tub too!

Thanks for all the help with MNSSHP ideas. I think I'll stick with the T-shirts and ears or hats. KISS, keep it simple stupid.

to Chi. Does she dance or do gymnastics? Hopefully she'll go for the dance team.

She took dance when she was real young but stopped when we divorced. Then she took gymnastics for about a year and now she is in cheernastics. The dance team is really low key and is more about having fun. i talked to her some more today and she is really ok with it and is having a great attitude. But she did say she is worried that some of the girls may tease her tomorrow. We will see...

Thanks for the update. Depending on what type of car you have some fuel filters are very difficult to get to and to replace. I would love to do some landscaping here.

well I had a lazy Sunday and I loved it!!

But I did want to give an update on my weight loss plan. I weighed myself Saturday and found that I had lost 5 lbs since february
When we went out to eat with our friends last night I did really well and had a salad and pasta with grilled chicken and left about half on my plate. But then my friends ordered dessert and asked me what I was ordering and without thinking I said cheesecake. I ate half of it before I remembered that I was on a diet i am going to have to do real good this week to make up for that!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes for Judy and me !! I've been thru Divorce and for me it was the years leading up to it that were bad !! Not that my ex was a horrid person we just plain and simple had nothing in common anymore ! It was an empty relationship for me at least !! But Judy really loved this GUY and it is killing her ! I used to like him !! Not anymore ! I took some meds and they have helped I'll take somemore tonight !! Judy's friends are coming outta the woodwork to support her !! An old friend who now lives in Columbus had invited her and the kids fo the weekend !! She was hesitant as it was Mothers Day I told her GO!! She needs to get away and I will have a NICE quiet peaceful Day!!!

Here was the end of my week: Had a class at work in the morning on Thurs, ended up getting Thurs off because they were short on Sat so I switched my days.

Friday woke up early to see the new X-men movie It's rated PG-13, but it has bloody moments and lots of fighting for those of you with young kids who might want to see it. I will say Hugh Jackman is HOT!
Worked Friday night.

Woke up early Saturday because I had screening passes for the new Star Trek movie. Fought my way through Saturday morning traffic why there was so much traffic on a saturday morning is beyond me! Met up with Yani, my bro and his friend to see the movie It was good plus the guy playing Kirk was hot! I'm not a huge Star Trek fan, but you don't really have to be to enjoy the movie and I'm sure Trekkies will like it as well. After the movie went home and took a nap then had to work at night.

Today I slept until 7:45pm. I was so tired that it felt nice to sleep in. I probably could've slept more, but my back started hurting.

Like I said, not used to this working 5 days thing yet.

Moving sucks. I have never been so busy in my life. We are just about unpacked with 3 more boxes to go.

That is the color. I love it. We also got the navigation system put in and the mp3 player hookup (Iphone can be played on it)

We got a moonroof. We talked him down a little. Actually I looked up the price and we got a great deal.

I think we are officially done buying things.

Today we head to Austin for B's dance team try-outs this evening. There are 20 girls and only 11 spots!
I'm really stressed out about it. We'll see what happens...

The kids are going to stay with my mom until I go back on Thursday for C's team try-outs. They'll have more fun there since things aren't closed down like they are here. And I could use a break. Bad.

Hi everyone ! I am really down today !! With all the problems for Judy and her soon to be ex husband , I have become even more worried about finances !! I know this shoud be my last Disney yearly solo trip but I can't face the thought ! Thr poor economy has eroded away at my investments and without that to fall back on I am not sure what we will do!! I see some major lifestyle changes for the kids!! Sorry to seem so negative but life aint looking good !! I am still going to Disney in 2 weeks and need it sooooo badly !! Judy is doing better today !! So I guess it is my turn !! Thanks for listening!! I reall can't go into whats wrong with my soon to be ex SIL . Let's just say he is a total useless individual !! He has thrown away everything !! Okay I better stop I am getting too upset !

Went up to Ottawa today for the Tulip Festival and to do a bit of shopping. Ended up with a new bathing suit that I look horrible in (it was the one I looked least horrible in ) and two new shirts. We didn't end up staying in town too long as I wasn't feeling well and wouldn't you know as soon as I get home I feel better! We ended up skipping the tulips at Parliament because I felt ill and now I wish we had stayed. Oh well, next year!

We did the walk to raise money for the Special Needs Camp today. We walked 2.5 miles. The weather was lovely, I enjoyed being with my boys in the sunshine.
The teeth are healing fine. I'm surprised how fast I seem to be healing.

Yay on the walk and that your healing nicely from your teeth. Sorry about the visitors though.

Well something unexpected happened to me the other afternoon. Both of the manuals I got for my car, one from Kia and one from the dealer's service department, recommened that the fuel filter be changed at 40,000 miles. So I called the dealership and asked for an appointment. The girl on the line, who liked to call me sweety, said I didn't need to bring it in until it started to act up. Really? She said it would be covered under warranty at that point. I said, "Well that's fine as long as I don't end up stopped on the side of the road." She said I would be able to tell when it was time. Uh, OK. I guess they didn't want my money that bad. That's got to be a first! Fine with me.

Doug said he has never had to replace one in any vehicle he ever owned. I told him he could have saved me a phone call. He knew what I was calling them about. That's my Doug! A plethora of information when I don't need it anymore!

Despite the soggy yard, I did get it mowed on Sat. I left some mud trails, I don't care. I worked on some outdoor lights that had broken and pulled more weeds. Plus I helped the Doug put in the new gate. It still needs a little adjusting but the sun was going down and we hadn't eaten yet. It was 8:30 PM by the time I got out of the shower and cooked something.

We've decided to do a patio with tumbled stone instead of a deck in the back of the house. Our nephew does this kind of stuff for a living. He is coming out some time this week to see if it can be done. It should cost a lot less than a deck made of the composit material. We will still have an octagon deck for the umbrella table. We can do that next year. I want to get something done back there this year. I'm tired of looking at mud and weeds. I miss my hot tub too!

Thanks for all the help with MNSSHP ideas. I think I'll stick with the T-shirts and ears or hats. KISS, keep it simple stupid.

well I had a lazy Sunday and I loved it!!

But I did want to give an update on my weight loss plan. I weighed myself Saturday and found that I had lost 5 lbs since february
When we went out to eat with our friends last night I did really well and had a salad and pasta with grilled chicken and left about half on my plate. But then my friends ordered dessert and asked me what I was ordering and without thinking I said cheesecake. I ate half of it before I remembered that I was on a diet i am going to have to do real good this week to make up for that!!!

It is a BLAH Monday. Rainy and cold.

Linds was to have a field trip today to the Nature Center and walking trails but I highly doubt they will be going. I hope they can reschedule for next week because it really is a lot of fun there.

She then has t-ball practice tonight. Well, maybe. LOL With the rain I have a feeling it will be cancelled.

DR is still asleep and I'm heading to the couch to catch up on the news. I have laundry to do today and pick up some. Nothing special at all.

Today we head to Austin for B's dance team try-outs this evening. There are 20 girls and only 11 spots!
I'm really stressed out about it. We'll see what happens...

The kids are going to stay with my mom until I go back on Thursday for C's team try-outs. They'll have more fun there since things aren't closed down like they are here. And I could use a break. Bad.

Mo, about your brother. I'm sure I've told you but Mitch has decided he loves his sister but doesn't like her as a person. Mentally he has decided he needs to talk to her only occasionally.

I missed it but where is he again? I'm assuming its with the National Guard?

He's with the Army Reserve and he's doing his 2 weeks, except it's 5, in Ft. Polk Louisiana. Yesterday he called to tell me they were hunkered down because of tornado warnings! They all are fine, but still.

Anyway... I'm going to eat ice cream.

Yesterday my sister's BFF had a baby, so I kept Reid whilst they went to the hospital. He makes me laugh and that's so what I need since Mitch is gone. Although he wanted to talk to Mooch so we called and got his voice mail. Reid couldn't understand why Mooch wasn't talking back to us.

Ack! Help!!! I've been puttering around on the DVC boards reading up on DVC. With closing only a few weeks away, I'm thinking about it again...

OK a non-enabling reply, when I looked into DVC I just didn't think that we would visit WDW every single year for the next x years, plus for the price of the fees each year we could almost get our 14 days at POR inc free dining. For us it just didn't make sense, maybe because the flights are so high too but think off the cons as well as the pros!

Well, the recovery papers say that the first day I should eat liquid only. Then day two I could have soft foods (mashed taters, pudding, pasta) and then it says to add foods as I feel comfortable.

I don't think I had any restrictions, obviously us Brits are tougher

Wow at long last there was lots to quote It's a holiday here and we all had a nice long lie in, Jess and I went to the supermarket to get the ingredients for her food tech lesson this week, fruit salad, then we were going to go for a walk and picnin but it's gone cold and a little rainy so they're playing on the Wii instead
