They all live with us fulltime. This wasn't always the case and it has been a long hard road for us but we are all together now. Alpha and Delta are his, Omicron and Chi are mine, and Tau is ours. So no, Delta and Omicron are not twins- they are even a grade apart which helps IMO. All five of them have completely different personalities, needs, etc

Gotcha! Thanks for sharing. :hug:

Hope he can come to a good decision and stop worrying :hug:

Today went well - more below. ;)

So on FB it is the Kate I know, have fun :thumbsup2

I meant she may not want the job not my good word :rotfl:

AHHH. I was really confused. :goodvibes

I called my BFF earlier as she's a teacher I needed her to countersign Ellie's passport and she agreed and suggested we then went out for coffee. Since she went back to work we don't see each other as much so it was great to catch up

Oh, nice! :thumbsup2

Hey all...anybody see this??? (Jo, I never give up my sources;))

You're a font of info!

But, judging form some of the Dining posts lately, I'd better get working on a second string line-up, too. :headache:

Good luck, my friend!

Wow it's quiet here :confused3

Yes, thanks! Since I'm sneaking on, it's easier for me! :rotfl2:

Hello!

Just popping in on my way to finish cleaning...I swear if this doesn't get done today I'm gonna shoot myself!

Almost there!!!!

Glad you're almost done - don't do anything drastic! ;)

I wonder how Dawn's house hunting is going???

Me, too!

So, I did end up booking a studio at OKW for the October weekend. I have until 31 days prior to check-in to cancel without losing my points, so I
figured it's better to be safe than sorry.

Good figuring! :goodvibes

*******************************************************
The on-water test and survey of the boat went well, so I am officially a lot poorer and also a boat owner! :rotfl2:

D seems really happy - the surveyor says we're getting a fantastic deal. The only downside is that the marina isn't really opening until 5/10 - which means no boat to entertain his difficult dad and stepmom on 4/28. :eek:

I had a nice day because MIL did indeed suggest shopping. And though this isn't what I was angling for, she enjoys shopping for me and bought me several very nice items. (She's VERY well off. I feel a little guilty, but not like I'm robbing her of her retirement money or anything...) We also picked out a few things for her to give D for his birthday. :thumbsup2

I got a cute casual dress, a cool spring sweater, a t-shirt and a nice tank top. :)

The boys got off the bus about 15 minutes ago, and I think Woody's not even come inside yet, and Buzz is reading to MIL. It's 68 and gorgeous here - beautiful day! :banana:

Hope you are all having a nice day, too! :grouphug:

Janet: :bored:
Thanks Z:goodvibes

Great V....it's gonna be a pain for ADRs. Are you going at the same time as Janet and T?

:sad2: BUT, I am going to meet T2:yay:

I'm off to check out the blogs I sub too, back in a while :wave2:

Uh, yeah...that's entertaining me. I've been playing Bejewelled;)

So, I did end up booking a studio at OKW for the October weekend. I have until 31 days prior to check-in to cancel without losing my points, so I figured it's better to be safe than sorry.

I really wish there was a way for me to finagle some finances. I would room with you:sad2:

Quiet here at work, too. :bored:

Here too, I may sneak out soon!;)

From today's paper. I particularly like the second one. :goodvibes And the one about Kings Island, so want to go there again. :thumbsup2

2009 wish list for Orlando theme parks

Dewayne Bevil | Theme Park Ranger April 16, 2009 About a year ago, I made my wish list for Central Florida's attractions. Aside from the Simpsons Ride opening at Universal Studios, I didn't get my way very much. So this year, I'm trying to be more in tune with the economic times and wish for changes that would cost the theme parks little or next-to-nothing. I pined for free parking last year. What was I thinking?

•I'll start with parking again. I wish more places would direct cars the way I experienced at Aquatica recently. Instead of driving up the marked lanes, moving directly toward pedestrians mindlessly strolling toward the entrance, we drove across at an angle that parked us behind the flow of walkers.

•I wish all the parks had a separate line at the turnstiles for annual passholders, folks not bewildered by the ticketing process or placing an index finger upon a scanner. (I really want an overhaul of those finger-scan processes, but that's dreaming too big this year.)

•I wish Islands of Adventure would install a Web cam for the construction of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I almost typed that with a straight face.

•I wish I had the answer for the burning question "What will happen to Pleasure Island?" And I have best wishes for everyone spreading rumors that the P.I. nightclubs will reopen by the holidays/spring break/after September.

•I like that Kings Island, a theme park in Ohio, auctioned off seats on the first ride of its new Diamondback roller coaster for charity. I wish that would happen around here.

•I wish single-rider lines would make a comeback. The one at Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom has made me like that ride more.

•I wish the monorail announcements would sync up better between the Ticket and Transportation Center and Magic Kingdom. It's weird to be inside the train behind closed doors still and have the disembodied Disney voice say "For those of you now boarding ..."

•Wouldn't it be nice to have an annual pass that allowed you to walk around Discovery Cove? I don't have to frolic with dolphins every time, but it's just so peaceful there.

•I wish I were aboard Manta right now — unless that pretzel loop makes me loopy. We're still a month away from the grand opening of the SeaWorld Orlando coaster.

•Here's to hoping an improving economy ends issues of ownership, layoffs and debt for theme-park workers. Actually, I hope that for me, too.

I'm trying to fanangle a girls trip with friends for that weekend. We'll see. I want one last Hoorah before the AP expires. Since I don't think I'll be renewing. I know I said that last year too....:rolleyes1

LOL. So what are you doing tonight??

The on-water test and survey of the boat went well, so I am officially a lot poorer and also a boat owner! :rotfl2:

Congrats on the boat!!!!

Dawn and Kat: Great pics! I'm so happy you found something, Dawn. And Kat, I'm really glad you didn't hurt your back! How's Bale doing?

Well, the boys are downstairs watching a movie with SD's friend. He's spending the night so they'll be up for a while. Poor Gus still feels bad but he wanted to watch the movie with the big boys.

Bob's working, but he'll be done soon. We are going to watch a Clint Eastwood movie when he's done. I guess he dvr'd it the other night.

I'm so tired. I have no excuse though because after I put SD on the bus at 7 am this morning, I went back to bed and slept till 10:15!!! I must have needed it. :confused3 I went to the gym after that and biked 8 miles. I figured it out and I biked 20 miles this week! That's amazing to me. :cool1:

My incisions are all healed (TMI?) and I feel great. It's amazing that you could have surgery like that and just a week and a few days later you can bike 20 miles!

I made chicken and mushroom quesadillas for dinner tonight. YUM! Hope everyone had a wonderful day. It was absolutely gorgeous here today. It was almost 70 degrees and they are predicting OVER 70 for tomorrow!

MEL:banana:

Kat, it looks fantastic! Nice!

Dawn, the house is lovely - hope it happens!

Glad the stove is on the way, Rosie!

Hi, all!

*****************************************************
We had a nice pizza/sandwiches and watched Shrek 2.

Now we're watching shows, so I'll say goodnight! :goodvibes

CE - Congrats on the boat!

Kat - The apartment looks great!

Dawn - The house looks so pretty! I like all the winows and backyard!

:wave: Hi Janet, Jodi, V, Angela, Kristal, Z, Mel and Angela! Sorry if I missed anyone.

*****************************************************

Linds had t-ball practice tonight an did really well. Because we've had so much rain and practices cancelled they held it tonight at our elementary school in the parking lot. They have a playground there and R had fun playing on it. I was proud of Linds though. A lot of kids kept coming over wanting to play on the playground but Linds stayed put and only came over during break time. :thumbsup2

She also got her uniform tonight. As soon as we got home she had to try it on. :rotfl: She gets to wear it tomorrow when we do Tag Day at the grocery store.

And this is going to sound so horrible...the coach's wife is the other Kindergarten teacher in Lindsey's school and after seeing how she disciplined her children and reacted towards things I'm kind of glad she isn't Lindsey's teacher. Maybe she is different with her kids than her school kids though? :confused3 Goodness that's horrible of me.

That's about it for me. I'm about to put the kids to bed, watch a few DVR'd shows and then head to bed myself since I'm tired.

Night everyone!

Hi everybody!

KAT has to have symmetry. They are officially clutterless after she threatened to shoot herself if they didn't get done today. Pictures of the refurb in Post # 2824. It looks so neat and organized. Great job!

Z is leaving on a Disney cruise May 31. :cheer2:

Hi! CEL BEL

DEB had a good time in Chattanooga, minus some stroller issues and the price of food. Glad you explained the yours mine and ours stuff.

MEL was tired today. She still did the bike. She says she biked 20 miles this week. So how many funnel cake calories did you burn?

JO's chillin'. She got to have lunch with an old chum/teacher. I'm glad you had a good time.

CE had a good time at the boys baseball practice yesterday. They are owners of a boat but can't use it until May 10th.:scared1: Her MIL was generous and bought her some clothes today.

DAWN and DH have accepted and offer on their house. She posted pics of a house they made an offer on - Post #2827. Lovely place.

JODI booked her flight for Oct. She also booked a studio at OKW.

JANET is going to see some bears and Narnia. They have to pry a dollar out of MIL's hand for charity. ;)

ANGIE wants to go to Kings Island. Hey I'll be there on May 24th!!! Just so you know - The auction for the seats on the new roller coaster started at $50. :eek: Tomorrow is the opening day. It will be weekends only until Memorial day weekend. With a discount through my insurance I was able to get day passes for $26.99 and a $10 parking pass. I think tickets are around $37. Can you tell I'm excited?

ROSIE gets a new stove tomorrow. She says she'll post pics - someday. Will a 14" pizza fit in it?:rotfl2:

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

Well friends you may be on your own tomorrow. It was gorgeous here today. Of course I got to sleep through most of it. It should be gorgeous tomorrow. I'm gonna get up at noon. (I'm not off work until 6AM)

Gotta mow and do some weed killing and pulling. Doug's going into town to get our new gates for the back fence. I've got to plant and transplant. Then......We are meeting some friends and my xSIL with her date, I think. It will probably be the state trooper. :scared1: If you know my Redneck persona on Enchanted you know I ain't gonna be comfortable. :lmao: We are eating at Pepe's. I might just take a camera and embarrass everybody with some food porn. :goodvibes

Later and have a good Saturday!!!

Hi everyone sorry I haven't been around. Too much to quote for the couple of days I have been gone, but Dawn congrats on selling your home and I hope the offer you did for the new house is accepted. Kat, the apartment looks great. It amazes me how small the apartments are there, our apartment would be worth a lot there :rotfl:. Jodi :banana::banana: you know how I feel about your coming to WDW in October, I had such a great time meeting you last year, I can't wait to see you again!!

***********************************************************************************************************************
So for the reasons I haven't been around, I posted a little on FB :lmao:, well more than a little I seem to type like crazy when I have things on my mind.

A little background, the Bill I am referring to is my significant other. He has mixed Cerebral Palsy, which means more than one type of CP. He has a speech impediment, his right arm doesn't listen to him (he calls it wild thing :rotfl:), he has no balance what so ever so he uses a power wheelchair, and his left hand is weak. It doesn't grasp things the way ours does, he types with one finger almost faster than I can using both my hands. He has 3 college degrees and is aiming for his Master's in Rehabilitation Administration to be completed by the end of summer semester. He currently has a 3.83 gpa :goodvibes.

I will c/p here though, just skip if it bores you :thumbsup2:

Wednesday:

I picked up Bill from work today. He has worked part time for an Independent living center for over a year now. They give him crap work, newsletters etc, even though they know he can do more. He created their website and made it completely accessible for people with all different types of disabilities.

Well they asked him today how many hours would he really need to do the newsletter. This tells him that they aren't going to even let him try other things although they know he has 3 degrees and has almost completed his masters in Rehabilitation Administration and they are looking to cut his hours.

They have another person in the office that is an intern, he is in a wheelchair but has no speech impediment, they are looking to hire him full time. Bill is heartbroken and so am I.

Later that day:

He said he knew they would hire the other guy because of his speech.

He said he feels like he is going to school for nothing and that he thinks if an independent living center won't give him a chance that no one probably will. He said "but I have to try". He tries so hard it just breaks my heart.

In the class he has this semester the teacher gives points for assignments, Bill said to get an "A" he has to have 280. He had 202 as of Thursday morning, most people in the class had about 160. This shows how hard he works, he made a plan at the beginning of the semester to do the assignments with the most points to get his "A" faster. The teacher gave them 2 opportunities to make extra points on Thursday. By the end of that day he had racked up 22 more points, he also had assignments yet to be graded, so he will have 284 by the time those are graded. He emailed his teacher last night telling him he would not be back in class. The teacher emailed back "Ok, good job, that is a great place to be in isn't it".

Today we had some appointments including a doctor's appt so he could sign off on paperwork to possibly get Bill a new wheelchair. This time with tilt to help him with all the cramping he has. This man suffers more pain in one day then the average person does in a month :sad1:, he amazes me.

Then we have been having some ticker issues the Enchanted ticker site and I was dealing with that for a couple days. I think I got them straightened out finally, it was driving me crazy!!

Sorry to be so long winded, I did it again :sad2:.

Jodi :banana::banana: you know how I feel about your coming to WDW in October, I had such a great time meeting you last year, I can't wait to see you again!!

Me too, Tracy! I can't wait to spend some quality time with you and Bill (and not have to chase my kids)! Tell Bill to get ready to ride Test Track because we are doing it!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Tracy said:

:hug::hug::hug: We love you, Tracy. You are such a great person and Bill is lucky to have you. Don't worry about coming here and venting. We all do it and it's exactly what we're here for!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I've got to get to bed soon. I'm doing the Race for the Cure tomorrow morning and I'm meeting a friend at our church to ride together at 6:45 am! :scared1: On a normal day, I don't see those numbers on a clock! Morning is going to come awfully early tomorrow! I'm just trying to get all of my stuff together before going to bed. T-shirt, race bib, camera, tissues, cell phone.... I feel like I'm going to WDW!!!!
Anyway, I'll check in tomorrow afternoon if I can still function! Have a great night!
Thanks Jodi :hug:. Bill says thank you so much for offering to help with Test Track, he really does love it even if he looks like he is about to pass out in the pictures:lmao:.
You will do great tomorrow, you are doing a wonderful thing.
Kat - the new decluttered apartment looks great!
Dawn - So glad the house sold and I hope your offer gets accepted on the new house, it looks beautiful!
