Option # 1 - OKW studio on points.
Pro: Free for me to use points, so no cash outlay. Can also purchase the dining plan separately.
Con: Not a good use of points. It costs 50 points for the three nights. I could rent those points out for $500 and have money leftover if I stay somewhere cheaper.

Option# 2 - POP for $354 for the three nights.
Pro: Cheapest option, especially if I find someone to share with.
Con: I really dislike the value resorts. I've been spoiled by DVC and deluxe rooms. But, how much time will I truly spend in the room???

Option # 3 - POR
Pro: It's where Tracy/Bill and Scott are staying. It would be fun to be able to hang out with them.
Con: Almost double the price of POP for the same three nights, unless I can get a discount.

Then there's the matter of the dining plan....

I've got a 5 day hopper that was given to me to use, so I don't need to purchase a ticket. I could buy the dining plan if I use points to stay at a DVC property. Otherwise, I'd have to buy a one day pass to get the dining plan, right? I guess I could keep that and use it towards an AP or some other type of ticket on a later trip, right?

Any opinions????

If you stayed with out points and got a 1 day and the dining plan, what would you use for tickets? If you want to save the 5 day, then you have to have the extra 2 days worth of tickets. Is is still going to be cheaper to rent your points out if you have to buy the 1 day ticket and dining plan. It looks like your best value is okw using your 5 day unless you have an AP

Just a stealth read and post...

I read everything through, but I'm afraid if I start to comment, I'll leave people out and I don't mean to. Still, here goes:

V - love the hair!

Mel - good luck - the boys are old enough to understand, I think.

Janet - hooray for Jimmy.

Rosie - have fun buying your airline tix. :)

Angela - nice photos, as usual!

Carrie - Happy "Meet Steve" anniversary! :goodvibes And I have to agree - I think if you are feeling that strongly, it may only cause trouble to be in contact with the ex. Tread carefully. You know we love you. :)

Jo - sounds like a nice shopping day! Sorry about the weather - for once, it's gorgeous here.

Hi, Kate! Pack well! :) Give DH a big high five from me. ;)

Have we heard about Dawn's counter offer? popcorn::
Hi, Sam!

Hi, anyone who's posted and I missed!

*****************************************************
Had fun at "fun tennis" ;) and then had to run to go get MIL - her plane landed early. Oops.

We came home and I quickly showered, then we went out for a nice little lunch and did the grocery shopping. The boys have been home for about a half hour, and she's outside with them - thus my time to stealth-read-and-post. :rotfl:

D flew off this morning, but should be back tonight. The boys have the first baseball practice this evening, but thankfully the coach is acknowledging that it's still getting dark a bit earlier than 8:00, so he said to plan on around a 7:30 end time. It's still kind of late for our normal routine - especially as they'll HAVE to shower after - but it's better.

I'm going to feed the kids around 5:00, but have to figure out what to do with the grown-ups for after baseball - D should be home by then, too.

Then Deb called and wants to meet up tomorrow - it's supposed to be 71!!! - and so forth. D is apparently taking John, her DH, with to do the boat testing tomorrow during the day.

I'll have to check with D - see what he thinks about his mom and having other plans, etc. :confused3

Anyway, I think I'm going to do a couple of things to get ready.

Hope you all had a nice day and will have a great night! I may check back in before bed. :grouphug:

Dang, forgot Jodi, and I had a couple of things:

HOORAY for the Komen thing. I bet it feels good. I'm so glad your friends/family are doing better.

And HOORAY for going to WDW in Oct. You're much more experienced than I am, so I can't offer advice, but I'm happy for you! :goodvibes

LOL - Target?! ;)

::yes::

Yay for Jimmy! And Yay for Jimmy's mommy!!:banana::banana:

:cool1::cool1::goodvibes

I'm walking the 5K, but not competitively. I'm doing it with friends, so I'm hoping they'll slow down and wait for me! :thumbsup2 I'll send you an email, Janet.

Ok!

So, good news. I talked to DH today and he said it's fine for me to go to WDW in October! So, now the planning starts....

Wahoo!:cool1: I wish I could go:sad2:

First of all, I need advice on where to stay:

That gave me a headache just reading it! :faint:

I love when they have those movie nights at the resorts. During my CP I would go to the beach club and get a sandwich from the marketplace inside, refill my mug;), and go watch the movies on the beach. It was super relaxing and could you think of a better way to end a day?

It seems like it would be a relaxing eveningpopcorn::

Janet - hooray for Jimmy.

Thanks CE:goodvibes

Rosie - have fun buying your airline tix. :)

Hope you all had a nice day and will have a great night! I may check back in before bed. :grouphug:

How long is your MIL there for?

Hi Everyone!!

I'm caught up, but just a quick drive by for me.

V: love the hair! :thumbsup2 Oh and I love Kona.

Carrie: Just say no. ;)

Mel:

Jo: OMG  I'm so glad David's ok!

Jodi: Will using points now affect any future usage of points? If not I'd just go with points.

Sam:  for the crazy guys house

Angela: Great pics

Debra?: did you find your $75 work ring?

Hi CE, Janet, Lessa, Kat, Kristel, Lori, TE, T2, Kate, Rosie, T, JenM, Jen, Dawn! And everyone else who I forgot!

I'm going on a Disney cruise!

The 5 day was a gift to be used on this trip. If I don't use it for this trip, the gifter wants it back. It didn't cost me anything so I will definitely use it.

I just called Member Services and they do have availability for OKW for that weekend. I would really love to find someone to share with me though..... anyone wanna come to WDW in October???

Hey did anyone see this??

New outdoor nighttime entertainment at the Grand Floridian Resort

Where do you find these things Janet? You should be on the Mom's Panel :rotfl2: I hope they're still doing the GF thing when we're there in December!!!

Will you have any time to get together?
Maybe, I'll be straight to sleep the Thursday night, Friday I'm doing a video shoot in the morning, hey you could come and watch it's probably at the GF :rotfl2: My sister who lives in NY is also coming so I need to spend time with her. Hopefully we'll be going to MNSSHP Friday night, depends what we're ummm given :rolleyes1 then Saturday evening is the race at AK followed by the party, Sunday is Epcot and Monday go home, not till early pm though! We'll talk closer to the time :thumbsup2

The iPhone camera's making it look a tad more reddish than it really is, but this is pretty close. I LOVE it! :lovestruc
:thumbsup2

Whos Mr STODLEY? :lmao:[/COLOR]
I have no idea :rotfl2: And kinda happy anniversary :goodvibes

First of all, I need advice on where to stay:
You need to go where you're happiest, could you share with someone so they can kind of rent half your points and that can pay for the DDP?

me and marc both get that alot. I still have fun, i just dont see any reason to be foolish or act like a moron like many people our age.
OMG Sam that was me as a teenager, actually that's still me now :rotfl2:

Then Deb called and wants to meet up tomorrow - it's supposed to be 71!!! - and so forth. D is apparently taking John, her DH, with to do the boat testing tomorrow during the day.
As Mel, I think, said how longs MIL there?

Hey you can't just type that and leave :headache::rotfl2: We need details!!!!

OK I hate my DD Jess, she's getting too good at golf and I can see she's going to be beating me in a few years :rotfl: We went and did 7 holes, Ellie pushed my trolley and D caddied for Jess and other than a few silly shots she did brilliantly :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is David's last holiday day and guess what? It's meant to rain again :sad2: And we've done the mall and cinema already :rotfl2:

/
i think in that case your answer is clear right. Use points and the tickets and all you have to pay for is dining.:thumbsup2

I wish i could go to wdw. :lovestruc when are you guys going again...I was thinking of trying to con a trip for my 21st b-day.:rotfl:

Hi Peeps!! :wave2:

Just a quickie, I've got to get dinner started.

Well Maddie found enough change and bills hanging around to buy her game. Who knew we had that much change in our sofa's???? :lmao:

I've become addicted to this darn DS game. It's so fun!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is doing well ... we've got a wedding this weekend and then Disneyland on Sunday, other than that, nothing else going on.

:goodvibes

Hey you can't just type that and leave :headache::rotfl2: We need details!!!!

Stop trying to be sly like Jen! ;) Yippee! :cool1: Details Z. :rotfl:

:teeth:

Well...

A friend of mine booked a cruise with her sister, but her sister decided to back out. So she had the option of cacelling or finding 3 people to replace her sister and kids. Her other 2 nieces decided to go and then she asked me. I told her I would love to, but it's too much money for me right now. She said that I could pay her back later, so I agreed to pay her back in installments and said Yes to going on the cruise with her! :woohoo:

It's a short cruise, but it's a Disney Cruise nonetheless and I'm so excited! :hyper:

Where do you find these things Janet? You should be on the Mom's Panel :rotfl2: I hope they're still doing the GF thing when we're there in December!!!

Put a good word in for me next year;)

Z - THat's awesome about the cruise!:thumbsup2 When are you going?

Good Evening everyone!!!!

CEL BEL says to check out 'Fail Toy Videos' on You Tube. She wants to come to a meet.

LORI has been watchin' DVR'd stuff.

CE's MIL is in town. She did tennis and picked her up. The boys 1st baseball practice is tonight.

SHARKY was busy with laundry and packing.

Hi HEDY!

ROSIE is going to by her airline tix today. She said humor works best in tense situations.

MEL didn't get to the gym today - Gus is feeling puny. They were going to have a sit-down with the boys about Bob's paycut.

V is still playing with her hair color. Pics - PG 184, Post #2752 I like the cut and color.:thumbsup2 What's Leo think?

JODI is doing the Komen race on Saturday. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 She is going to the girl's weekend. She has some options. Do You really need DDP?

JANET got a good report on Jimmy!!!:cheer2:

JO went shopping with D and the girls. Jess may be taking Mum's coveted golf crown away.

ANGIE is learning a lot in photography class. She must have color!

CARRIE -

Z left us hanging with, 'I'm going on a Disney Cruise.' Who taught her those bad manners?

T's Maddie did indeed find enough money in the couch for her new game. This weekend they have a wedding and DL. Have fun!!

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
:woohoo:
Well I knew it wouldn't last. That new person who tried to take over the office is on her way out. She is a diabetic. I guess she had a bad spell this past weekend and now has a drs excuse for not being able to do the job.

I had a grandfather die from this disease. It is serious. However it is hard for me to feel sorry for her as she eats a lot of stuff she shouldn't. She thinks because she has an insulin pump she can do what she wants. I've seen her down a half bag of reeses pieces in a meeting. I found a reciept today for a donut from the cafeteria. :sad2: She is a truly screwed up individual. They don't know where to put her now. She'll just be sittin' on her rump until they do.

Have a good Friday!

Jo - Glad David is doing better.
:rotfl: to Jess and golfing. Here's a pic for ya though of my little cutie. He went golfing with his Pappy and Uncle Geoff this afternoon. His first time and he took his own set of clubs with him. He's had them since he was 1.

Hi CE, Kate, T, Angela! And everyone else who I forgot!

*******************************************************

I really didn't do much today but it was a busy one. DR did go golfing with my dad and brother this afternoon and had a really good time. I'm sure he'll be going some more come summer time. Linds and I spent the afternoon playing and doing girly stuff. I tried going out with her this afternoon but I was outside for 2 minutes and my eyes started itching and I started sneezing like crazy. UGH! I told her wait until the trees have leaves and the flowers have bloomed and I will be outside with her more. :rotfl:

They are both now in bed and I'm going to watch some TV. Night everyone!

Oh and V...I have AOL and on the main screen an article popped up about the 13 worst hair cities to live in and it made me think of you. LOL

Here are the top 13 worst cities:

1) Corpus Christi, Texas
2) Olympia, Washington
3) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
4) Las Vegas, Nevada
5) Phoenix, Arizona
6) Pensacola, Florida
7) Fresno, California
8) Houston, Texas
9) Tucson, Arizona
10) New Orleans, Louisiana
11) Cincinnati, Ohio
12) Albuquerque, New Mexico
13) Eugene, OR

Hello Ladies! I feel like it's been forever since I posted. I'm loosing track of days being stuck in this frikkin clutter.

We hit IKEA today, ate and spent another $100. Yeesh. We are all but one square of the unit finished. We had some drama with there not being another of the baskets that I wanted and they wouldn't sell me the display! So I have one basket and one empty spot- which will drive me nuts, I like symmetry!

We also got some new dvd holders for KC's games and some yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast for the rest of the week!

Tonight and tomorrow I will finish this up and we will rehang all our pictures and things and spackle and paint over the holes. Then we can finally enjoy our darn home again! And I'll show you some before and after pics.

Admittedly I skimmed so Hi to everyone and Hugs to those who need it, I'll catch up with all of your lives asap. Now It's back to work for a bit then to SLEEP!

kat- you could always take one basket out for a while. I also get a little ocd about symmetry and stuff.:flower3:

glad to hear your almost all back to normal!
