I had a good time with my SIL. Her apartment is nice. She has dubbed it the 'Cougar Cave.'

We got some real snow overnight. Real in the sense the roads are covered . Can't really see it yet... but I am guessing maybe 2-3 inches. enough to sled in.. a little which is where we will be today.

Morning! This is a drive-by - gotta head into my big, fat, scary meeting in a few. My friend's flight was canceled, so she's at my house, trying to figure out when she might be able to go. (She flies through Philly to Erie.) That's a lotta snow happening north of FL! Stay warm Fockers!

A headache just hit me all of a sudden so I think I'm going to lay down on the couch and snuggle with DR. He just woke up and is a little gumpy still. Its absolutely FREEZING today so it'll be nice for that snuggle.

Ooh, cool! The closest I ever got to a snow day for work was when we lived in El Paso and they shut everything down because of a sandstorm. I got a sand day!

Mornin' ladies. Today is the big day. We find out if the doc will clear Jon for our trip in a few weeks. Everything is resting on today for whether we get to go or not.

My dad is coming for a visit on Wednesday, so I've got to clean up the playroom/guest room so he has a place to sleep. Other than that and some laundry, not much going on here. We didn't get any snow, but the upstate around Clemson got 8 inches. I hope everyone stays warm and safe.

Well, we have at least a foot, and we're just in a lull. They are saying possibly 7 more inches before it's done - combined with 20-30 mph winds. Fun.

It's March, for pete's sake.

D is happy, of all things. I am not. If we hadn't had any snow this year, maybe. But here we are, back to 6 snow days with today.

I want to say curse words.

The kids are really done with being home. It's not like they're doing anything too awful, but the last few days have just been really loud, rough, hyper... It's time for school. Hopefully we'll be OK for tomorrow.

Luckily, it's also pretty cold, so the snow stayed light and dryish.

I had to cancel my physical for today - more just because I didn't want to have to get out and snowblow in time for it. I'm sure I could have made it out, though it's still coming down hard.

Anyway, I'll do some more reading. D is heading out to snowblow now (at least he's home) and he's dragging the boys out to play as it's not that windy yet.

If you hear thunder in the winter, it means snow within 10 days. But if you hear thunder while it's snowing, what does it mean?

Well the way I heard it... "Thunder in February Frost in May" and "Thunder Snow today... Spring is on it's way" So it will be feeling like Spring for sure on April 2.. But it just might snow 5 inches the day before... after all it WILL BE APRIL FOOLS DAY

I am so sure you HATED MISSING THAT.. I have to get the "Mammies Grammed" in one week. Last time they left tire tracks on them... so I am somewhat .

Sarabeth is outside right now.. we had to study Science this morning as she has a Mega Unit test this week sometime. This is the one class she just can not get an A in. This lady is TOUGH. I am thinking of another word.. but I'll not use it

I am slightly bummed, though, because Mordie is working on a disability awareness patch with Boy Scouts, and, to that end, was supposed to come down to go to the school where my mom used t teach, but the school is closed.

Big controversy brewing in the office. Some money from a wallet turned into the Lost and Found has gone missing.

Too bad some people are just not that nice....

We actually prosecuted someone (former PO) who stole another co-workers CC and then used it. Denied it was them until they saw the video of them using it

I can see all of the people who were working between last night and this afternoon getting pulled in for some serious questioning.

I believe the main reason for the school call off ( besides their "quota" ) is the temps are falling and will stay cold tomorrow so the buses would be trying to drive on Icy Roads till after 10:00 which is the cut-off for delays.

Speaking of that... did you guys read that Rhianna's back with Chris Brown?! What does that tell our kids who are watching her as a role model? Ugh. I'm so disappointed.

I'm listening to the NASCAR race right now. But don't ask me who's winning because I haven't been paying attention at all. I just know that a lot of drivers are having mechanical problems.

Tomorrow, I've got to volunteer at school in the morning. Then, after picking DD5 up from preschool, we'll head to the Y for a workout. Then, I'll be home for the night! Maybe I'll actually get something done then....

Yesterday was Cah-ray-Zee! SD had a friend over till about 2 pm. I made eggs, toast, hashbrowns and sausages for bfast and we sat around watching tv for a while. Then I had to drive to the "far away grocery" and buy my meat for the next two weeks. Gus was bored and bugging the **** out of Bob to do something with him. It's almost zero degrees out and he wants to go fly a kite at school! WTHeck???? So, I told them when I got home from the store I'd take them to the gym to swim. So, I ran home, put away the stuff that need refridgeration and then took them to the gym. I stopped at the other grocery store on the way home for the things that were going OFF sale today. Then home to make burgers and potato salad for dinner. After I watched the race and Bob gamed with the boys.

This morning I got everyone off to school and Bob decided to work from home. I went to the gym and managed 2 mi on the bike and 2 mi on the treadmill. Gassed up the car and came home to make Bob and I a pot of coffee.

I am all caught up here, so I'm going to enjoy my coffee and read for a bit till I have to get SD.

Not well.
He's just as frusterated as I am. shes not bothering me too much though. You would think she would wash a dish or 2 once in a while!! she doesnt seem to be in a hurry to get back home to her kids or her outpatient program. shes just hanging around talking on the phone, smoking, (outside) on the computer looking up all sorts of stuff. she had the bright idea of wanting to go to the homeless agency in RI so maybe she can move down here... I'm NOT driving up to Providence for that. then she looked up info on homeschooling Mackenzie, 7, she quit H.S!! got her GED. (i think) huh?
shes just clueless.
Steve asked if Pat was coming today to pick her up. no,,,,snow storm..he said, she can walk.

Well, I had the "poke and prod" last month, this was just my GP and getting the thyroid tested again, etc. Nothing horrible. I just didn't want to worry about getting out in time.

Lessa how terrible hope it gets sorted My sis and I found loads of money at the bottom of the pool at Clearwater when we were little, we spent ages diving to the bottom to get it and handed it all in to reception. WOW !!! That is Super!!! My knees and back have been hurting so long.. I doubt I could treadmill one mile now. Normally I do a 5-6% incline around3-3.3 mph...
