Janet - Enjoy your date night and glad Jimmy did so well on his report.

Jo - Awesome deal on the cricket lessons for Ellie. :thumbsup2

Well, since you asked...I'm Debra. We have 5 kids all under the age of 9. I work part time as an engineer in the aerospace field. My family works a lot of hours in our church doing children's ministries and other stuff. I am a cubscout den leader and a t-ball mom as well as a million other roles that I play. My husband is a talented architect but was laid off a month ago. I am enjoying having him at home but am starting to miss having a regular paycheck :laughing: Oh and I have a great sense of humor and almost everything I say is sarcastic. :rolleyes1

Hi Debra and welcome. I'm Lori and a SAHM to Lindsey (6) and DR (4). I'll be going back to school this summer though for Medical Assisting. Welcome to TFW! :)

V, thanks for sharing the Mel info!

Hi, Debra!

I'm CE, SAHM to twin nearly-7 boys, living in NH. DH is a corporate pilot, so I go through periods of counting on all these wonderful people as my only grown-up contact, and times when I'm hanging with DH all day long and am not on the computer much. I'm into tennis. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

*******************************************

We had our first thunderstorm of the season! I was excited - I love thunderstorms. Plus, it's not snowing, which is always a bonus. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I have NO idea what we're doing this weekend. The boat will likely be ready for the on-water test next Friday, so we have nothing to do with it this week. Our baseball hasn't started yet - the fields are still muddy and awful.

I do need to get ready for the candle party on Sunday evening, but that shouldn't be a big deal. I bought some snacky foods today for it, and some wine...

And that's all I've got. Still thinking good thoughts for Mel & Mo. :hug:

Hi all. It seems the more I try to get the house ready for Nana's graduation party the worse it looks. Just wanted to make sure I got on here and said

:cheer2:Happy Birthday Rachel:cheer2:

Glad Mel is doing fine. Please keep updating here as I do not have her on facebook.
How is Mo?

hi fockers! sending :goodvibes to mel.

i've been mia for a couple weeks. it's been busy around here. i've been keeping up by reading at work, but don't want to sign in and post. just a little paranoid!

then, we fly out of pittsburgh monday am to florida! i'll try to take lots of pics. so everyone have a great week and stay safe and healthy. :hug:

Just a quick good night post. Been a long day here, cleaning and stuff, made some Ikea Swedish meatballs for dinner. KC has been video gaming all night. I am about to lay down and read.

Tomorrow KC works all day and then we have friends stopping by so you all won't see me until late tomorrow, probably vampire time (hiya Kristel heehee). Sunday KC is visiting some friends in Queens, I dunno if I'm gonna go with or not. They aren't my fav people but they have a new baby!!!

BTW who text-ed me about Mel? I lost all the #'s so I dunno who it was! But thanks!

I'm really glad to know that Mel & Mo are doing well. AT least we can all sleep well tonight.

Goodnight my wonderful Focker friends, sweet dreams.

I exchanged a few texts with Mel while I was at the show tonight. She said she's okay and got a nice room. I think maybe she's on the good stuff, because that room comment was so random... :rolleyes1 :lmao:

She also asked how the kids and I are doing. :sad2: I set her straight, told her to not worry about anyone else and to get some rest. :thumbsup2

If I get any more updates, I'll post them. Until then, I'm shattered (Hi, Jo!). I'm off to bed. :cloud9:

Janet: Yay for Jimmy! :woohoo:

Hi Kristel, Lori and CE :wave:

Hey Mr T! :wave2:

Have a great trip Theresa! :wizard:

Had today off since I worked some days during the week and negotiated for today off.

Went to go see Fast & Furious. It was what it was. I basically went to see Paul Walker :love: Otherwise nothing very exciting for me.

Night Fockers!

Hi Debra! I'm Janet. Mom to 5 year old Jimmy, DW to Jim. I am a Probation Officer in Philadelphia. DH is a teacher. Welcome to our madhouse!
Hi janet. Nice to meet you.
Checking in to see if anyone's heard anything on Mel. Someone text me when news becomes available, k?

You'll fit right in here, Debra!

I'm Tracy, but pretty much go by "T" here and some parts of my RL, I'm being referred to as T now as well. :lmao:

I'm a SAHM to DD7 Maddie and DS4 Evan. We live in So. Cal about 15 mins from DLR.
Hi Tracy, My baby goes by T as well. We call him Mr. T or baby T or something else depending on the mood I am in. I have never been to DL but hope to some day.

That's awesome, Janet! WTG, Jimmy!

Welcome! We have a lot in common. I'm Dawn, a homeschooling mom to my three kids B (DD11), C (DD7), and A (DS6). :teacher:
Right now all I talk about is trying to sell my house as my husband is commuting 1.5 hours each way daily.

T- I don't have your #, but I have Jodi and Janet's. So, I'll pass the news through them. I'm heading out to B's dance spring show, so I'll be out until about 9pm. I know Janet's out, so hopefully Jodi can get the info posted here. :confused3

I did call and leave a message a few minutes ago telling her we were thinking of her and we hope she's doing well.
:guilty: I just want to hear she's okay... :guilty:
Hi Dawn. my DH was commuting 1.425 hours each day until he was laid off last month. I was hoping that this was God's way of telling us he needed to be closer to home. But every job he has interviewed for has been just as far or further. :scared:

No word yet, huh? :worried: Okay, I'll come back later for another check-in.

Hi Debra! :wave: I'm V, Floridian and single mom to Leo, age almost-7. I work in marketing and PR and am not even remotely sarcastic. :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Hi CE. I wish I knew you loved Tstorms. i would have sent you one of the dozen or so we had last week.

Last night we went to our baseball fun night that was rescheduled from last week due to thunderstorms. We were told in the mom's meeting that there would be no games that night due to the fun night activities. When we got there at 5:00 I was told that we were playing a game at 5:30 immediately after opening ceremonies :scared:. They had decided the night before and just called the coaches Friday morning. Well that is great and all but the coach assumed that I knew and had called all of the parents.

I told the commissioner "Look, just because we are a small town in Alabama and we are all related doesn't mean we all talk to each other every day" We really need to work on our communication.

Needless to say the parents were not prepared and most had planned on feeding their kids from the concession stand. But since we had the first game they didn't have time. About half way through the game I had 5 of the 10 boys crying!! I think it was a combination of low sugar plus seeing all the inflatables and games around them. Normally I have a helper in the dugout with me but because it was fun night she was working our game booth. By the end of the game I was in a frenzy. :scared:

But we did win. :cheer2: We have another game today at noon.

I think maybe she's on the good stuff, because that room comment was so random... :rolleyes1 :lmao:
:rotfl2: Wait... weren't you sending some "interesting" texts (or maybe it was emails? phone calls?) after your surgery?! ;) Love it - glad she's on the mend. :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Thanks for starting my day off with a laugh!

WOW. It's waaaaaaaay too quiet around here!

I'm up and rearing to go today. Got a load of laundry in, catching up on a few things here, then it's workout time, followed by a run to the mall to return the new bikini I was so excited about - yes, I'm happy with my weight loss and overall toning, NO I'm not ready to expose half my rear end. :rolleyes: No more ordering swimwear online. Later, we go for the 4th application of color remover to lighten up my hair; told you it was a work in progress!

I'm sure I'll be back at some point, but in case I'm not, HAVE A GREAT DAY FOCKERS! :grouphug:

BTW who text-ed me about Mel? I lost all the #'s so I dunno who it was! But thanks!

Good night! :cloud9:

Wasn't me! I texted T, but that's it! I don't have anyone else's number. Just Dawn's, T's & Carrie's.

But we did win. :cheer2: We have another game today at noon.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Hi Debra! I'm Jodi. I'm a SAHM to two girls, ages 7 & 5. We live just outside Indianapolis. I keep busy doing PTO stuff and running my kids to their activities. DH is a computer programmer and is just starting paramedic school. I'm currently trying to figure out a way to earn some money so that I can go to WDW in October by myself to meet up for a girls' weekend!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on here today. I'm going to try to clean up a bit and I may or may not have someone coming to buy the girls' old bike off of craigslist. It looks like today will be the nicest day during our entire spring break, so we may try to get outside and do something this afternoon.
DH is at training at the firehouse all day today and tomorrow. Plus, he's working an overnight shift tonight on the ambulance. So, is anyone up for drunken Spanish tonight? I'll be around....:sad2:
A girls weekend in WDW!!! How fabulous!! My RL friends just don't get 'it'. We are planning a girls weekend but one is vehement about not going to WDW so we may do the beach.
What is drunken Spanish?? That sounds scary.
Hi Jo, I saw your siggie and remember reading your TR a few months ago. I was so excited to read about your stay in the castle!!
Thanks for reading my TR and it's good to meet you Debra. You obviously know I'm English and on the Mom's Panel but I'm also married to David a PGA golf pro and we have s DD's Jess who's 12 and Ellie who's 10. I'm a SAHM who doesn't stay home much as I'm always on the golf course :rotfl2:
then, we fly out of pittsburgh monday am to florida! i'll try to take lots of pics.
Are you off to WDW????
Wooohoooo
Sorry but :rotfl2: oh and good luck with the hair!!!
Lazy morning, Ellie really needed some sleep after her school trip. We then took Jess to golf, they're playing round a par 3 9 hole course and Ellie decided she wanted to have a go too. So she played and I caddied for her, she did really well too :thumbsup2
Yay for Ellie! :yay: Does she play as often as Jess?
:wave: Hi Z, V, T, CE. I feel like I'm missing someone and sorry about that. :hug:
***************************************************
I took the kids to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny this morning.
April2009008.jpg
It was right up the street at our local American Legion and was being hosted by the high school seniors. It was really nice and the kids had fun. DR kept asking me why the Easter Bunny wasn't eating what we were (pancakes and sausage) and I told him because Easter Bunnies only eat jelly beans. :laughing:
Not much else planned besides laundry and cleaning up. The kids were up at 7 this morning so I'm hoping to get a nap in this afternoon. I told Lindsey that sleeping in by 15 minutes does not constitue as sleeping in on a Saturday. LOL She looked at me like I was nuts.
Hope y'all are having a good weekend!
What is drunken Spanish?? That sounds scary.
Hee hee, some of us tend to become "fluent" in other languages after ingesting alcohol. :rotfl: There've been a few nights here on the TFW thread when we filled a few pages with "Drunken Spanish", or in some cases "Drunken French."
Sorry but :rotfl2: oh and good luck with the hair!!!
It's okay - I laughed too! What stinks is that it looks terrific from the front. It only needs about 1/4 inch more fabric on each side of the back to be fine, but it's just not there. :sad2:
Aw, how cute! :cutie:
Rachel, will we hear from you again before your flight? If not, have an awesome time down here! :hug:
:rotfl2: Wait... weren't you sending some "interesting" texts (or maybe it was emails? phone calls?) after your surgery?! ;) Love it - glad she's on the mend. :goodvibes
Uh, that's not the way I remember it... :rolleyes1 :lmao:
I've done nothing this morning. :yay: I'm about to shower and touch up the dusting, etc so the house is freshened up. We lowered the price yesterday, so I'm hoping for more traffic. After the dance show, we went to dinner with some friends. The hubby used to be a realtor, and suggested we give a buying agent bonus to get more people through too. Kirt was supposed to talk to our realtor about it this morning, but since he's mowing the alwn, I don't know what they decided.
We're taking it easy today, but B's got another spring show tonight. Have a nice Saturday. :flower3:
Hi Debra, I am Tracy, work in the healthcare field, and live with my DBF who has Cerebral Palsy. We (I) am WDW addicted. Great to see you here.
Are there any interpretors on Drunken Spanish nights, so those of us that don't read spanish can keep up :lmao:? Can Kristel give updates for that?
No interpretors needed, Tracy! Just use Google to translate what you want to say! That's where the phrase "Dental Floss killer" came from. I think it was Rachel who tried to translate "thread killer" and one of our native speakers corrected the translation! It was hilarious! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
And by the way, it doesn't have to be Spanish. As V said, it's just whatever language you want to use. Me?? I'll be doing drunken German myself. :woohoo:
