Good Morning Friends!

Wow, Dawn! That's scary for Mel! I can totally relate though, after what I went through last fall! I hope they can determine what's going on. My only question is.... there's not a CT scan at the hospital? That doesn't seem right to me! Keep us informed please!

For those of you not on FB, Mel's gone to the emergency room a few hours ago. She posted that she thinks it's her appendix.

I texted her asking if she was okay and telling her our family is worried about her, and she replied back that she's not okay and will talk to me soon.
She's calling now...

Okay... Mel said I can share what's going on. She said she woke up in the middle of the night in extreme pain. She toughed it out until morning, then went to the ER. She blood levels were high and the pain is right over her appendix.

She was driving herself (!) to a cat scan when she called. If the cat scan confirms what they think is going on, she'll go directly back to the hospital and be admitted to have surgery. She'll be in the hospital for three days.

She sounded like she felt so bad she could cry. Bob's getting his work stuff in order so he can come and help her to the hospital if she has to go back. She's obviously scared and upset and is asking for prayers.

She's going to keep in touch with my today, but I'm going to be out most all of the day and evening. If I get any info, I'll text Janet so she can get the info to you guys.

Hi all GOt a text from Dawn about what is going on with Mel. Crazy busy at work, so I won't be on much but Ill let you all know if I get an update.

Mel - Lots of pixie dust coming your way.

Don't forget Mo today too everyone. She should be in surgery this morning for her foot.

Leaving work early today. Jim and I are having a date tonight and Jimmy is going to be at a sleepover. We have t-ball at 10:00 tomorrow morning, and then on SUnday we are taking Jim's sister to Dave and busters. All in all a pretty busy weekend.

I just got a call from Dawn, who has heard from Mel. It is indeed appendicitis and she will be having surgery this afternoon. She's pretty scared and would really covet our thoughts and prayers!

Well just doing some last minute errands and packing of carry-on bags before we leave for disney.
It is chucking down with rain here like crazy(HI JO) not helping with all the things I need to do.

Hello team fokker watch. I have been lurking trying to figure out what fokker watch is. Could someone please define a fokker watcher to me? I thought it was when you recognize another disser in the parks?

The reason I ask is that my DH asked me if there was a special look, handshake, or sign or something that you show in the parks to recognize other dissers. I gave him an answer and now I am trying to figure out if I told him the truth or not LOL!

If you read the first post in the thread, there's a really good explanation.
As someone who just home from meeting 5 Fockers, we pretty much just know what each other look like and we set up meets to hang out.

As for recognizing other DISsers in the park, some have lime green mickey heads hanging from backpacks, camera bags, fanny packs etc. I think Lime Green is the unofficial color of the DIS.
