Hi everyone, nothing to report here, it was pouring rain all day, that was real fun trying to get Bill in and out of the van for school with his laptop .

We're getting that rain right now, Tracy. It was a nice day until just about three hours ago. Now it's pouring!

Must be a thing about dogs today. Mine ran away too. Luckily a neighbor saw him and called me. I found him down the street in a neighbor's back yard eating a pile of bread they put out for the birds.

Well, spring break has officially started.... and so has the bickering. Hopefully I can keep them busy so that they don't fight so much this week or else I'm going to be buying wine by the case!

Yay for the beginning of spring break! Hope you guys are able to get some fun in without too much arguing.

Actually June is looking pretty good. I know of a hotel that is a time share place usually and has a 2 bedroom suite. I think we may have 2 other couples and another possible 2 stragglers coming, so it would work out to be really cheap! I'll keep you posted. I'd love to go for my birthday- an excuse to celebrate!

Well we had a lovely day out. It was sunny and cool and comfortable all day. We walked FARRRRR. From 23rd Street and 6th Ave all the way down to 8th Street and over across town to 3rd Ave. For those that don't know Ave's are loooong, about the equivalent of about 3 or 4 regular city blocks here. It was a nice workout to say the least.

We took pics of course...here's my late night mini TR...enjoy...

We had a silly Disney moment when we saw the name of this street vendor:

We went to Best Buy, KC got a game with a gift card from Christmas time. Then we hit the Container Store and got an organizer for KCs closet. The we browsed in bed Bath & Beyond and Old Navy. We also made a brief stop in a Virgin Megastore to rest our feet. I also went into a Trader Joe's for the first time ever! I need to go back, it was too packed because it's in the middle of NYU student housing- holy crowded.

Then we went to 99 Miles To Philly for dinner.

We went to Strand Books after dinner. I got me 3 books! I actually found the first 2 Harry Potter UK Editions, and for only $8 for both!!!! I was excited! KC even got a book and I found a random half off paperback to buy. It's old and musty book smelling in there and I LOVE it.

Then we went to the comic book store and ended up buying nothing.

So on our way to our next stop, for dessert, we happened upon this beautiful church. It was so randomly pretty in the dark city that we had to stop for some pictures! I wish it was open, it must be just as lovely inside!

Sorry to post so many but it was so awesome. Surrounded by tall buildings and cars and people. It's one of the reasons I love NY, for the random stuff like that.

We went back to the Dessert Truck that we found last month. We took our desserts into Starbucks and had some frappuccinos too!

It's Chocolate Bread Pudding, Macaroons and Caramelized Pears.

Vamp update!

CE says the Chinese make her sleepy. She's really looking forward to 10 weekends of early rising. She has been having doggie problems.

V didn't like j-duty. She tried to bribe them by name dropping. She has lost weight! Congrats!

DAWN found another house that may be doable!

KAT baked some awesome lookin' cookies and went to town today. Post #1889 for great pictures. Kat you look terrific in that last one!

CEL BEL needs to look more professional, I guess. Her DFiance is home. I sense some trampolining may occur.

Mitch said not to get him anything for his birthday because we're trying to save money. And since he sounded very serious, I only got him a trivia book so he can practice for our next cruise. (There is a daily trivia contest and he had an awesome team. ) But I feel so bad since it is a big birthday, although all birthday's are important. He's going to Memphis this weekend for the Army so I'm sure we'll do something next week when he's back. Because of the economy, the Army has decided they are not going to pay for his travel to and from Memphis each month. $300 for an airline ticket or 13 hours to drive. Last night he talked to someone about transferring to a unit in West Palm Beach, only 3 hours away.

It's another rainy lazy day here. Summer must be coming soon.

Yeah...NO! LOL It's raining today and I think TWC said it was to switch over to snow. Of course I wasn't quite awake yet so maybe my eyes and ears were playing tricks on me.

Happy Birthday to Mitch! That stinks about the Army. My ex is in the National Guard and was in MN. He just moved to FL and I think transferred to some unit down there. But he said the State of MN was out of money and he couldn't work there any more. I totally thought he was making it up since well, I can never take anything he says seriously, but I guess he may be right. LOL

Morning! What a dreary day it is here; gloomy, dark and rainy. Blaaah. The weekend looks to be a lot better, though, and we really, really need the rain, so I'm trying nto to be bitter.

I caught myself doing Fuzzy Disney Math in real life this morning. In the shower, I found myself thinking, "Leo comes home Mon. We don't count today because it's already here, and we don't count Mon. because that's the event day, so only 2 days until I get my baby back!"

For those of you not on FB, Mel's gone to the emergency room a few hours ago. She posted that she thinks it's her appendix.

I texted her asking if she was okay and telling her our family is worried about her, and she replied back that she's not okay and will talk to me soon.
She's calling now...

Okay... Mel said I can share what's going on. She said she woke up in the middle of the night in extreme pain. She toughed it out until morning, then went to the ER. She blood levels were high and the pain is right over her appendix.

She was driving herself (!) to a cat scan when she called. If the cat scan confirms what they think is going on, she'll go directly back to the hospital and be admitted to have surgery. She'll be in the hospital for three days.

She sounded like she felt so bad she could cry. Bob's getting his work stuff in order so he can come and help her to the hospital if she has to go back. She's obviously scared and upset and is asking for prayers.

She's going to keep in touch with my today, but I'm going to be out most all of the day and evening. If I get any info, I'll text Janet so she can get the info to you guys.

We got a postcard from Ellie today, she comes home in 2 hours and she says she's having a fantastic time, she's seen seals and starfish and loves us all She went boating on the Norfolk Broads this morning at Wroxham!
