Mom & I hit the mall and the new Sephora store. :lovestruc Then, we had a nice lunch (with wine! :rolleyes1) and went to Trader Joe's. Sounds lovely :rotfl2:

Why yes..........I thought you sounded quite lovely! (is being posh a good thing or kinda a snobby thing?? As in "she sounded so-o posh"
Depends on who you are :rotfl2:

Hope you Nanny gets to feeling better. It's hard when they are that age. My Nana is passing out whenver she stands up.....I talked to her doctor yesterday and she has hypotension (Blood pressure drops when she stands).........it's tough cause she like to go-go-go.
Nanny was always on the go till a few weeks ago, she had different clubs everyday but she keeps falling asleep all the time and doing things like leaving her dinner in the oven for 3 hours or the gas hob on  I hope they manage to treat your Nana

We're having the same problem---dad took out her wood stove and put in a propane one for extra heat..........we found matches and wood in the propane stove where she is trying to light it. (and it's already on and 900 degrees):sad2:

Just a quick drive-by before I run DD7 to Brownies tonight. Gotta get her fed and her homework done in the next hour or so.

If you haven't seen on FB yet, I've posted pictures of the circus DD5's preschool put on this morning. The kids were adorable! It was a lot of fun and even included an intermission with popcorn and cotton candy!

Don't have time to quote, but I have been keeping up with the chatter! Hope everyone has a great evening! Hopefully I'll be back later tonight! :lovestruc

Hi guys.... I'm DONE!!!

What a day. I'm all caught up, but just can't reply right now; I awoke with the beginnings of a migraine and have only barely managed to keep it to a dull roar all day, so I'm exhausted and hurting at this point.

Jury duty sucked eggs. I decided not to bring my laptop, what with this worm thingy and the free - FREE! - Wifi not being the most secure invention. Which was a good call, because I was in the first group of 30 to be called for questioning. Despite my close relationship with someone in law enforcement (Janet ;) ), I got picked to be on the jury. Likely the fact that HALF the group of 30 had some prior conviction had something to do with that. Anyway, I sat through the trial, heard all the evidence, was wondering if I'd wind up the sole juror who was not convinced of the defendent's guilt beyond all reasonable doubt... only to be told I was actually an alternate and my job was done - go home.

Honestly, it would have been fine, had I not been feeling so awful. Lovely accomodations, plenty of space to do work, read, walk around, eat, etc. Oh well, I'm done for a year. :yay:

:grouphug: all around - I missed you guys today!

ANGELA--> GREAT pics! You're so darn tan!
That is such a compliment to me. :goodvibes Silly, I know! :rotfl:

Yeah, you can tell which guy is the jerk in that picture!

:rotfl2:

Sounds like you're handling work just fine. :thumbsup2

Are those Jordache Jeans????;)
Gloria Vanderbilt. :rolleyes1

CE, have a good dinner. Probably you need more wine too. ;)

The weather radar alert has been going off all day, but at least it's not for a hurricane, only severe thunderstorm warnings. It still scares the carp out of me every time the alarm goes off though.

I LOVED my Gloria Vanderbilt jeans!!! I had Jordache too but they didn't fit like the Glorias----ya know........way up high so the shirt can tuck right in..........I gotta find my pics......the girls would get a kick out of them........course then I get to hear "wow mom........you were so little..........what happened???":headache: UH.......YOU!

:lmao: Kristel...

I don't know how the showing went until I get the e-mail with feedback. As soon as I know I'll post. :surfweb:

Kirt went to look at a house in Austin that looks amazing on-line. He said it's obvious it's been vacant for months as it has weeds and a green pool, but he thought the price was great and the house was wonderful. He said the price was lowered and made the house a great deal. We don't mind projects, so it would be worth it to us to do the work to be able to get into this great house, have a pool in the backyard and nice neighborhood. Now, I'm waiting on an offer on our house. ;)

Jo- hugs for you. I hope your nanny feels more herself soon. :guilty:

I keep getting text alerts. Isigned up for them for FOckerfest last year and never unsigned up from them:rotfl2:

========================================================

Jimmy and Jim are finishing up his peach project. Jimmy is cutting out pictures and gluing them on the paper and he should be done!

But to get THE BEST you have to come to Philly:rolleyes1

I have been! I went to Tony Lukes. There used to be a TON of wrestling shows right near there, in some carpy warehouse. But apparently the recommendation came from someone who is from philly, and KC loves him a cheesesteak so I am complying, even tho I am DYING to go back to Outback Steakhouse! I want a Bloomin' Onion!

If you go you've got to do that :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

If you can't find them let me know before I come in September!!!

I'll def let you know! Thanks! I think if I do make it to Magic Meets it'll be pretty weird, KC's boss runs the thing and knows everyone.

Oh well, I'm done for a year. :yay:

A year? Thats it? I am excused for i think 7 years.

That is such a compliment to me. :goodvibes Silly, I know! :rotfl:

It is a compliment coming from a pasty person such as myself!

*************************
This is what I did today....I baked and caught up on my podcasts (i listen to too many that are over an hour long)

cookies001.jpg

They are oatmeal, choc chip, coconut, raisin, crasin cookies. Say that 3 Xs fast!

Now I'm waiting for KC to get home, which is hopefully not too late.

Evening all! Had a busy day from the minute I got up !!!! Girls overslept and missed the bus !!:scared1: So 5 of us were all trying to get bathed and dressed at once !! I hate cold baths !!!
Then I had to take the girls into school and so was late myself !! But I got all my end of month done and took a consumer out to breakfast ( on the company) :thumbsup2All my paperwork was right Yahooey!! Worked on financials that are a nightmare !!!:headache: Finally had to Van Cert a staff and just got home !!:yay:
As for getting outta Jury duty they are getting wise to all the tricks !!I :rolleyes1remember my DD got a summons and it said childcare wasn't an excuse she was freaking as she was a SAHM and had no one to watch them !! I told her if they made her go take the girls and tell them you said childcare wasn'tan excuse but leaving 1 year olds home alone is against the law !!Luckily she wasn't picked to go but I bet they wouldn't have picked her !!:rotfl2:

I finished my presentation and got home. I didnt go to work today so ill have plenty of time to start copying my notes. :scared: But i better start the quarter off on the right foot.

We had a small room to do our presentation and way too many people. Which is great and all, but we had people on the floor, and into the hall! we watched a couple company videos. Basically little ads for the CP and then answered questions. It really makes me want to go back now! Oh and i almost got into trouble because of my hair. See my hair is short and right now its bright red. If you havent noticed bright red isnt disney look. SO we were going to take a picture of ourselves to send to our superior recruiter as proof we were there, but decided to hold off on it. Now i need to figure out what to do about my hair because i have another presentation on monday.

I have been! I went to Tony Lukes. There used to be a TON of wrestling shows right near there, in some carpy warehouse.

Jim's (the steak place, not my DH;)) are better. When you and KC come here we will go there:thumbsup2

There ain't no way I'm catching up.

 Just wanted to say hello! :teeth:

Hi everyone!! Too much to quote, I hope everyone is doing well.

We did Bill's PT/OT evaluation for a new wheelchair. The therapist was a little too rough with Bill's left ankle and it is hurting now, so much that he asked for advil which he only does when he is in extreme pain :sad1:.

We're having the same problem---dad took out her wood stove and put in a propane one for extra heat..........we found matches and wood in the propane stove where she is trying to light it. (and it's already on and 900 degrees):sad2:
Is this what we've got to look forward to? :rotfl2:

Welcome back Jen, before I forget they brought in a new rule whilst you were gone, no talk about politics or religion or anything in siggies, don't want you getting in trouble

We did Bill's PT/OT evaluation for a new wheelchair. The therapist was a little too rough with Bill's left ankle and it is hurting now, so much that he asked for advil which he only does when he is in extreme pain :sad1:.
Oh no

I've filled in all the holes this morning, well after I finally woke up at 9am  That's what happens when I'm here on my own :rotfl2: I'm just having a rest before going and sanding the walls then off to the supermarket and hopefully get a coat of paint on this afternoon. Because they're bare plaster (dry wall :confused3) it takes so long!!!!

Hi Mel Wow you got alot done! You are on FIRE!:thumbsup2:
Yep! I did! Today I plan on being much lazier....

At some point I'd like to clean out the junk drawers too (we have a few) and see if I can ditch anything.

Happy Hump Day! [/COLOR]
Happy Hump Day, a day late! We have a junk drawer too and I try to pretend it doesn't exist....it's so messy. I can only ignore it until stuff starts spilling out onto the floor though. :lmao:

MEL says Bob is in OHIO. Her house is the pits but she needs to work off the Disney pounds.

Bob's home now. I biked 8.4 miles yesterday and today I hope to make it to 10. Those funnel cakes are EVIL. I can't button my jeans! :rotfl2:

Holy High Waisted Pants, Batman! LOL!!!

Mom & I hit the mall and the new Sephora store. :lovestruc Then, we had a nice lunch (with wine! ) and went to Trader Joe's. I was really glad, frankly, that yoga was canceled, because now I'm feeling lazy. The one glass of wine combined with a suddenly cloudy sky is doing me in! I am so glad you are enjoying your visit with your mom. Lunch with wine sounds lovely.

Hope you Nanny gets to feeling better. It's hard when they are that age. My Nana is passing out whenver she stands up.....I talked to her doctor yesterday and she has hypotension (Blood pressure drops when she stands).........it's tough cause she like to go-go-go.
It's so hard when they still feel like go-go-going and they aren't really up for it.

I've just got the Wii Fit out and I haven't been on for 47 days I'm surprised it didn't shout at me I've only put on 1 pound though and it was 8pm when I got on it so I may have even lost weight if that makes sense
As long as you don't eat funnel cakes in those 47 days, you're probably safe! :rotfl2:

We're having the same problem---dad took out her wood stove and put in a propane one for extra heat..........we found matches and wood in the propane stove where she is trying to light it. (and it's already on and 900 degrees):sad2:

Hello Jodi, Goodbye Jodi! You are so busy lately! Cute Circus pics!

Well, even though it wasn't bad, we're glad it's over. We missed you too!

That is such a compliment to me. :goodvibes Silly, I know! :rotfl:

I always tell Bob that there is more of a chance that I'll have a heart attack from the dang alarm than that a tornado will hurt me! Hope the weather settles down a bit...

Agreed.

What color did you chose? Are we going to see pics?

There ain't no way I'm catching up.

 Just wanted to say hello!
Hello Stranger!

(((((((((((((((((((((((((&&&))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I'm up. But, I'm going back to bed in a minute! The plan is to hit the gym about 9 am. SD has an appt. with his psychiatrist this afternoon. First one in 3 months! It's just a check up to see how he's doing. (Which is GREAT!!!)

They say it's going to be 63 here today. Hmmmmm. We'll see.

MEL:banana:

Morning!

My user CP didn't work, so I may have missed a page, but I think with quotes I'm caught up.

Welcome back, JenM!

Mel, good for you with the workouts!

Jo, I've not been on my Fit in forever, either. I know it'll yell at me. :rotfl:

Sam, glad the presentation went well. Got a wig? ;)

*****************************************************
Off in about a half hour for my fun tennis class. Mom is taking me and dropping me off, so she can attend the school book fair with Woody. D is heading to the office, but is promising me he will be back so that I can take mom to the airport this afternoon. :guilty: I will miss her - we've had a good visit.

Check back later!

Morning everyone!

Just dropped Linds off at school and DR is upstairs still snoozing so I thought I'd pop on for a quick minute. DR and I have to head out on the road today to do some grocery shopping and a Target run to get Easter basket stuff.

Its supposed to be 70 here today so I have a feeling the kids and I will be outside a lot this afternoon. It was so nice yesterday that I did a little sunbathing with our dog. LOL Maybe her and I will go out again for a few minutes today. Too bad we're supposed to possibly get snow sometime next week. :rolleyes:Of course they said that last week as well and we got nothing and it turned out to be a beautiful day!

Well, I hope y'all have a good Thursday! I got my days right today because that means Friday is one day away and then comes glorious Saturday where we all get to sleep in. :woohoo:

Wowee, it's quiet here these days! At least I can keep up like this! :rotfl:

Morning! I'm back to work and trying to get going. I still have lingering head pain and feel like it could easily shift into migraine mode again. :headache: We're having weather issues, which always does this to me.

In other news, my new approach to getting in the shape I want is paying off! :yay: I was doing the Wii Fit plus lots of other strength work, in addition to some treadmill time, and just could not lose anything. After 5 weeks of that, I was beyond frustrated. Then I heard the little voice - it said "When all else goes to pot, you know where to go; back to the barre." Remember, I'm a former ballerina? Well, last time I was the size and shape I prefer, I wasn't doing anything with weights or muscle isolation; I was alternating dance or yoga with treadmill days. So that's what I've been doing for a couple weeks - treadmill one day, ballet or yoga the next, and so on - plus throwing my diet all over the place to keep my body from adjusting to any particular calorie count. And as of today... I'm down 6 pounds and actually bought a new bikini to WEAR IN PUBLIC!!!! I'm really, really proud of myself and had to share; it's not been easy, but so worth the hard work! :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a good Thursday! :grouphug: I'll check back in later...
