Excellent, thanks. I'm sure her stress levels kind of lowered her defenses, but hopefully she's not also fighting anything too horrible besides this.

She is on the IV and she went down tonight for a CAT scan. She will have an EKG and a liver ultrasound tomorrow. Dad sounded pretty upbeat, so I'm not too worried, though I wouldn't go right to "unconcerned."



He'll be OK, Lori, and so will you. I hope his dad doesn't disappoint.

Hope she has a good nite--it's never fun in the hospital--they kept waking my Nana up last week to give her a breathing treatment.....after they had given her a sleeping pill....then she was jazzed up on Albuterol and couldn't sleep.

The same exact thing would happen with my mom. She'd get a breathing treatment then take a sleeping pill.

I'm going up Nordth (as is said here in MN). We are going to a lake resort... go figure MN and lake resorts. Good news... THEY HAVE WI-FI!

First...Happy Ed Day!!!!

Thanks, everyone. I don't know. She got to the dr. and was told she has a blood infection (labeled sepsis on the forms, but is that a generic term?) They are admitting her for IV antibiotics and an EKG to see if they can tell where it's coming from. Also a liver ultrasound as her liver levels are high and they are trying to rule out hepatitis. She had immunizations for that when she was teaching, but wasn't sure if those are lifetime.

She's pretty healthy and started this off with chills and fever, not with something else, but I know sepsis can be really, really not good. TE, was this what your dad went through?

Well, congrats Steph!!!!

DH started his chemo. last night. He looked a bit swollen in the face this morning when I got home. He said he was fine but he took an extra anti-nausia pill just in case. Then he headed to work.
This afternoon he was tired but no more than usual. His face wasn't puffy anymore. He said he was good all day. Keep the pixie dust comin'. We're 12 days away from WDW.

Here's hoping everything stays great for you guys!!!

Well, I just got home from working out at the Y. But I didn't do my normal workout because I'm not feeling all that great. I'm thinking I might have a UTI. Thinking about calling my doctor because she's real good about just prescribing an antibiotic when you think you have one.

Still have to run to Sam's today and DD4 is driving me absolutely batty. She wants school to start RIGHT NOW!!!! As much as I would love that, she has to wait until next Wednesday. And I have another week of her whining that she has no one to play with.....
