Thanks, everyone. I don't know. She got to the dr. and was told she has a blood infection (labeled sepsis on the forms, but is that a generic term?) They are admitting her for IV antibiotics and an EKG to see if they can tell where it's coming from. Also a liver ultrasound as her liver levels are high and they are trying to rule out hepatitis. She had immunizations for that when she was teaching, but wasn't sure if those are lifetime.

She's pretty healthy and started this off with chills and fever, not with something else, but I know sepsis can be really, really not good. TE, was this what your dad went through?
  From what know sepsis is some serious business. Hopefully they caught it early and they can get some MEGA antibiotics in her ASAP.
Ill keep her in my prayers

Take care of your ankle, try to stay off it if you can tonight.

Hope the 1st day for the boys goes well,im sure it will:goodvibes
We dont start till next Wednesday

They are VERY excited, I just think it will be a long day, especially since they're not well rested... :rotfl: Oh, well. ;)

Fingers crossed for tonight and tomorrow!

   It was so nice to finally "meet" you and talk Mel!

Thanks, V! I enjoyed meeting you and Leo too. He's pretty irresistable.
SD is doing GREAT. He felt a little panicky at dinner and I just looked into his eyes and said, "You can do this. You know you're fine. Breathe deep and relax." And he did! He said, "I feel just like when I take those pills. All calm."

You cannot know the good feeling this gave me!!

I had to laugh at that pic of Leo. I have one too, but it's much sweeter than that one with the ARGHHHHHH face!!! I'll get it to you asap.

CE: take it easy on that ankle, girl. Don't wanna spend any more time with your foot elevated than necessary! Sorry about mom. I'm keeping you in my thoughts!

LL: I am pouting too. :sad2: I miss Disney!!! WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
It went by so fast. I can't wait till next year, already! :rotfl2:

I am making the boys Tonga Toast on Saturday. They will love it, I'm sure. Actually, I'm making it for me....

Will do, and thanks! I am still behind on a bunch of TR's from the IL trip, let alone last week, so maybe I can get some of that done tonight and tomorrow - you know why?

I'm free, baby!

Sorry about the darn weather guys. Looks like it didn't dampen the fun too much though. Can't wait to read all about it!

Happy Jen Day!
Good to see you back here also G-Luv! Congrats and good luck with your career and school!

Hey TE, how many cords did Bear eat?

*******************************************
DH started his chemo. last night. He looked a bit swollen in the face this morning when I got home. He said he was fine but he took an extra anti-nausia pill just in case. Then he headed to work.
This afternoon he was tired but no more than usual. His face wasn't puffy anymore. He said he was good all day. Keep the pixie dust comin'. We're 12 days away from WDW.
:wizard:

Here is the totals so Far ( Jodi.. TE has been Busy today.. You have fallen !!!! )(not that I am rooting for anybody :rolleyes1 )

I'm trying! I've been gone a lot today. We had preschool meeting this morning and then PTO stuff this afternoon and evening, but I'm home now and posting! I'll catch up... or die trying! :headache:

:dance3: :dance3: I'm number 4!!!! .........that doesn't sound as good as I thought it would! :confused3

Can you count??

Uh it Looks to me like you are #5 TE

That's what I thought. :sad2:

I just turned the big 2-9. Next year...I'm going to be 20-10. And I've decided to just continue on into my 20s. 20-11, 20-12, 20-13...and so on. ;)

And yes...I'm young in age. But, I'm old in heart. I've been a grandma since I turned 3. :rotfl:

I just tell people that I'm celebrating my 2nd 29th birthday, etc. On Sunday, I'll be celebrating my 29th for the seventh time!

I have to get the boys showered and in bed for the first day of school. I had to leave tennis 15 minutes early because I turned my ankle and couldn't walk on it for a few minutes. I can now, but certain movements are sending twinges. Ice and elevation in about a half hour, I hope (I have ice on it now, but keep having to do stuff...)

CE, I agree with the others. You need to take it easy tonight and just DIS all night. And I'll be keeping both grandpa and your mom in my prayers!

Mel - Glad to hear SD talked himself down at dinner tonight. Sounds like progress to me. Hopefully tomorrow morning will go well for him.

Nothing is as frustrating as trying to explain the American electoral system to a bunch of Canadians and an Eastern European. My head feels like it is going to explode. :rotfl: I just spent the past 30 minutes trying to explain it to them and they still don't get it. :lmao:

::yes:: I have a rant about the system in the modern age, too. :headache: :rotfl:

 I turn 30 this year in December. This past year when we celebrated though my dad bought me a cake and got the number candles to put on there and he bought a 2 and an 8, not a 9. I didn't say anything and just found it amusing that I was turning 28, again. LOL

I was talking with my aunt on the phone the other day about my birthday and how I was turning 30 and having to cancel my trip. She was like I'll help you plan something if you want but I went on to tell her that I was only turning 29 (according to my dad) since he bought me the 28 candles this past year.

Hiya Fockers!! We got home Sunday night and had to hit the ground running...Michael started school yesterday and it's my busiest week of the month at work and we've got doctor appts, etc. this week. Plus, I've got probably THE worst cold (or something) I've had in EONS...sick as a dog...:sad2:

Not happy to be home:headache: and in fact, I'm still pouting about it.

Michael and I are both suffering post-Disney-depression and counting down the days to November.

Had a great time, although I don't want to ruin anyone's TR so I won't say anything.

Yet.

Had a blast. It was great seeing everyone and meeting so many of you in person!:grouphug:

Well, it's my bath night - better run.

Have a great night everyone!!

Welcome back LL! Sounds like you are a busy lady but can't wait to hear all about Fockerfest and to see pics!

OK, it's just barely started, but here it goes!

OyFay!

:goodvibes

Is that the name...if so, I love it!

yes its for me.. I am about 5 months pregnant with a little boy.. :teeth:

Wow Steph! That's great!!!

We need some more details! Where are u living and are u working now? Have u thought of names? And pics too!

I still don't get it either. Does anyone??? :confused3
How does Canada work? Do u vote on a PM or just the regular Ms??
+++++++++++++
CE--yes, that does sound familiar---his turned out to be pneumonia which was causing the sepsis (which just means all-over infection) and hepatitis (which really is just inflammation of the liver unless you specify A/B/C type).
The Remicaid infusion that he takes for RA caused the severe reaction.
Good news was that IV Levaquin fixed him right up and he went from death's door back to his barn door in 5 days. (he's a farmer)

FYI--my Hep B shot that I got in 1990 is still good, but they check the titer from time to time, so apparently it can wear off. The kids both have Hep A shots (that's the one you get from bad food), but I don't.

Keep us updated on her progress.
