Hi CE!!!!! :wave2:

It was so good to see you, it feels like yesterday....Can I rewind time and go back?

No kidding! It was terrific to meet you! :goodvibes

:hug: I've missed ya'll.

Missed you, too, Jen. :hug:

BUT...it has gone incredibly smooth. He is doing well. He is loving it. And I worried...mostly for nothing.

That's great! And I wish you the best of luck for your schooling too. And a drink for dealing with motha. ;)

Hi CE, V, Z and Lessa! Back home myself... Our flight arrived in Detroit at 10:30 pm. We got home around 11:45 pm. Kids were awake. House totalled! :scared1:

Oh, no! But the kids were OK?

Wow! You guys have been chatty today!

Welcome Home Fockers!!!!

Sounds like everyone had a great time. I can't wait to hear about the adventures of the Flat Fockers. Mel, did Flat Jodi behave herself??

Thanks, Jodi!

welcome home ce, v, z, mel, lessa!!!!! did i miss anyone that is back?? sorry if i did.

ce-- i'm sure i was well behaved. however, if there were any missing alcoholic beverages, i have to admit, it was probably me. sorry, i couldn't resist. i hope someone bought flat rachel a heiniken or a margirita!!!!

g-luv- glad to see you back!!!! you should be so proud of yourself. a masters degree with a child at such a young age!! and, you did all by yourself! i'm proud of you. you go girl!!!:thumbsup2 ;
i have an iep meeting at the end of the month. i called and told them i want reg in the regular class all day with an attendant. so , we'll see how it goes. i have her ot backing me up if needed. she feels like we're holding her back too much by not trying to place her in the reg classsroom. i'll keep ya informed. and i may have some questions along the way from my favorite focker slp, just sayin :rolleyes1

katt--:hug: for you. i know how you feel. i worry about it everyday, but it increases as they get older. :hug: let me know if you need anything.

hello -- to everyone else!!!! just home from therapy for masen and then he had blood drawn :sad1: but it's over. he's getting several genetic tests done since he's my 2nd one with autism. but, it takes about 2 weeks to get results back, so i'll let ya know.

:idea: well, i had a major epiphany yest!!!! i really want to move south. however, i realized that the most important thing right now is education for the kids. there are some awesome school districts near me. we've decided to forgo our move to florida and move to canton, ohio. it's about 45 minutes west of me. north canton has 3 school districts that are just awesome!!! and i can get a brand new 2400 sq foot house 4 bedroom with a finished basement for just under 200,000. plus, st/ot is covered 100% by my insurance (shocking , i know). between the 2 of them, 1 month of therapy is around $3000. :scared1: :eek: :sad2: even if i got it covered elsewhere,my 20% copay would be 600/month.:scared1:
so, that is my plan. maybe i will move to florida when i'm older and become , the always loved by floridians, snowbird. just had to share with my focker friends. LY/MI:hug:

IWhat's that Elton John song??? The "Witch" is Back??

Well, I'm back baybee. I'll spill the beans on the goings on after I celebrate my day by answering a million questions.

:hug: I've missed ya'll.

:hug: We've missed you as well!

OK...so...I've been gone. And I have missed you guys soooo much.

First, getting Jon healthy for school. We had a trip to the emergency room because he had an asthma attack the Monday before school began. They were going to admit him because they felt like his bronchitis had turned to a mild case of pneumonia. BUT...his stats improved while we were at the ER and he began to feel better. So, we got to stay home. He almost missed his first day.

THEN...getting him ready for school was difficult. We had to take several trips to the school to teach him the way around and to give him the lay of the land.

BUT...it has gone incredibly smooth. He is doing well. He is loving it. And I worried...mostly for nothing.

We had some difficulties with the school when Jon came. Basically...the short of it is...that someone dropped the ball with Jon. Any child who has a health condition is supposed to be on what is called a Health Plan...outlining what to do in case something happens at school. Jon has never had a health plan. Anyway...we had to have health plan meetings for him. It turned into a big deal because the school system could have gotten in trouble if Jon had had an emergency at school (he should have had a health plan all along)...so they were basically trying to cover their tracks. Long story short...we got it taken care of. The whole school (all 75 employees or so) had to sit in on training this Monday for Jon's medical conditions. Everyone had to be informed about his health issues so that if he goes into crisis at school, everyone will know what to do.

THEN...2 weekends ago it was my birf-day. I turned 21...so I can finally drink legally.

THEN...my motha came this past weekend. So, I had family all weekend long.

My new job doesn't start until next week. BUT...I may have another position. We'll see. I should know in a few days. This position is a Employment Supervisor at a mental health clinic here. This could get me in the door for more opportunities in social work...which leads me to...

I've decided to go back to school. I'm going to get a 2nd masters in Social Work. :eek: I'm crazy. I start school in a few weeks.

So, I've just been busy. Busy. Busy.

And I missed ya'll! :hug:

Can someone fill me in on the big happenings of the past few weeks???

You HAVE been busy! Glad Jon is doing good and school and everything is setteld with that. Your Motha sounds like a trip! And Good Luck with school and work!

Hi all you guys!!! Missed the TFW...skimmed back a bit. If I missed something earth-shattering, please fill me in!

Hi CE, V, Z and Lessa! Back home myself... Our flight arrived in Detroit at 10:30 pm. We got home around 11:45 pm. Kids were awake. House totalled! :scared1:

Fockerfest was AWESOME! I loved everyone I met. (And I stalked CE at MCO and found her and her boys!!)

Today I have to get the house straight, do laundry and get the boys dressers cleaned out so we know what they need for school. Bob is back at work today.

I'm so tired from our weekend away, but it was so much fun. And all the Focker kids were SUPER CUTE! I'm NOT doing a TR, but I won't post any spoilers about the visits. I will post some pics when I get chance!

MEL:banana:

Welcome back Mel! Can't wait to see some pics!

Wow! You guys have been chatty today!

Well, DH starts his college class tonight. He was sorta nervous this morning, wondering what kind of people will be in the class. I think he's afraid of being the only "adult" in the class. He's 38 and he's thinking that the majority of the people in the class could be directly out of high school, so that would make him 20 years older than them. Since it's a community college though, I'm sure they'll be some mid-life career changers in the class along with him, don't you think?

I think he will be just fine. :)

Awww...poor Masen! :hug: Hope you get your resluts back quickly!

And that move does sound AWESOME! Good Luck!

Well the kids and I are back from our McD's lunch and Target. I now have a new cool wireless mouse and Lindsey can spin all she wants in the computer chair without getting the cord tangled! :woohoo: :rolleyes: :laughing:

The only bad thing is when I came home. I live with my dad and the man can not clean up after himself. I should be used to it but when I had cleaned the kitchen before I left and to come home to a mess just kind of ticked me off. :headache: Oh well...it's clean again.

Not much else planned for us today. Talk to y'all later!

Wow! That's great! Sounds like it was meant to be--so when will you move??

:confused3 According to google's french-english translator you just said "suck from above." :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: .........uh.....what does that mean?

G-luv said:
What's your given name? Jennifer Michelle

Why were you given your particular name? My mother picked it before I was born. I'm not named after anyone. My father wanted to name me Marisol. Thank goodness he didn't get his way. (no offense to anyone named Marisol)
:eek: My mom's name is Marisol!

(JK--her name's Gail!) Are u a late 60s/early 70s child too? Cause both your names were popular in my senior class!

I don't like chocolate! :eek:
Well, fine........the rest of us will eat the cake! :snooty: :lmao:

What do you want to be when you grow up? Right now I'm a Speech Therapist. But, I have recently decided to go back to school for my second Masters in Social Work. I would love to work in a non-profit AIDS clinic as a case manager/counselor.
wow--I'm impressed--I would love to finish my first masters!

I was not married when I had Jon. I got pregnant when I was 16 years old and had Jon right before I turned 17. And I didn't fall flat on my face. I put myself through school and provided for my child...by myself.
Wow--now I'm really impressed (and feeling like I should get off my butt and sign up for a class............ok that feelings gone now!) ;)

And Happy 21st birthday!----Well, let's just see now! Your child is............12???..........and you had him at 16??............yep! 21 its is!

Let us know about the new job possibility!
Jen2- That's an amazing story. Good for you! You're one strong woman. :hug:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And, just in case anyone was wondering... I didn't write the questions. I just googled 'getting to know you questions' and used someone else's list. I deleted a few that were strange. :confused: So, I didn't mean to have two instrument questions and questions assuming everyone wants kids or gets married. I can alter them if everyone wants me to, I've just been to busy to do it.
B just reminded me she has an ortho appt, so we'll be headed to that and to our field trip in a few minutes. Then we're meeting my SIL & BIL at my MIL's for dinner. Be good and I'll check in later. :cutie:
Yeah Yeah.......you say that AFTER you've offended everyone over the type of musical instrument.....twice! LOL
Well, BA does not have strep--she has a upper resp infection and is coughing and sore throat. She was resting in her bed and I decided it was a good time to clean out her room---so I pulled out sock, underwear, and other drawers for her to sort. (She seemed to like doing that......do I have to forfeit the MOTY award for making her do that whilst she's sick???)
Well gooo that she does not have Strep... Since that's a "Sitting Job"
and she does not have Strep.. I think you get to Keep the MONTY;)
Rachel, you may or may not have had beverages. We'll have to wait and see... :rolleyes1
Sounds like a good plan, too. :thumbsup2
TE, hope BA feels better soon, and if she likes organizing drawers, why not? ;)
I've got the photos off the camera and into the computer, so just maybe, with D gone, I'll start my TR later. :banana:
But for now I'm off to get the babysitter so I can go to tennis - the gym daycare is closed this week because they're re-varnishing the basketball court in the next room. :headache:
Oh, and my grandpa is still in the hospital, and mom is waiting to talk to the social worker because he will need to be released to rehab or a nursing home. However, SHE is now being admitted to the hospital today - she has had fever and chills for days and had blood work done yesterday. :sad1: They called today and said they had labs back, and she needed to come to the office and then she'd be admitted, but the nurse didn't tell her why. So, that's a little worrisome. :sad2:
Talk to you all later!
Thanks! I'll just keep it a while longer then! Cause her room looks much better! And Dawn--she got creative and decorated a shoe box as a "memory box" for keepsakes! :thumbsup2
Good call! :hug: Really, my first word of warning to anyone considering a move from the NE to FL is "How important is your child's education to you?" Because our schools SUCK.
Well, BA does not have strep--she has a upper resp infection and is coughing and sore throat.
